As a mostly closeted person, My Policeman the book, absolutely destroyed me. There were segments of the book that pretty much reminded me of what it’s like to be queer in 2022 in Perú, of what I’ve gone through my entire life. It was heartbreaking. And during one of my therapy sesions focused on the book - bc yes, it did affect me- my therapist asked me what I truly wanted and how the book had brought it up somehow. My answer was “I want my Venice” and I haven’t been the same since. Today, after watching the movie for the first time, I can say the feeling is completely different. It didn’t exactly leave me in a depressive state like the book did, somehow it gave me hope and the will to work towards my best, most authentic life. 

I want to see how you'd look on your knees, begging me to touch you. I want to know how long you can sit there watching me play with myself before you get too horny to stay still.
