Ok so I know me complaining ain’t gonna do nothing but I want to say something about Abby’s casting. Her muscles have so much to do with her character. She trained and worked for YEARS for the moment when she kills Joel and they are taking away like all of her character by casting this girl who’s gonna be the same size as Ellie. Like even in the end when she lost all her muscle it showed how much shit the rattlers put her through and shows how much she lost. And I know me not watching the show isn’t gonna hurt it but I’m not watching the show when it comes out bc honestly it’s gonna suck bc Abby is not gonna be Abby. Bella not looking like Ellie has nothing to do with her character but Abby’s looks has EVERYTHING to do with her character. So yeah that’s all I have to say about the horrible casting of this amazing game.
Also I wanted to add that the size difference between Ellie and Abby is a big thing bc the theater fight even as Abby beat the SHIT out of ellie she still went to Santa Barbra to finish her.

hi guys , just to remind yall that we should NOT hype the new season of tlou hbo and neither the tlou II remastered .
keep in mind the game is fully based on the horror of the genocide in palestine . abby is a metaphor for a ex-idf soldier .
kaitlyn is also (apparently ) a zionist and so is neil .
please DON'T hype up a show and new version of a game that came out of a zionist's hands .
stay silent about it and be smart . the blood of palestine is still being spilled by these types of people .

Neil Druckmann: I designed Abby to look like that because it’s a body type that rarely gets shown in media.

The people in charge of The Last of Us HBO adaptation have made a huge mistake regarding the casting of Abby in season two because Kaitlyn Dever is completely wrong for the role.
Shannon Berry should have been cast as Abby because she is the best choice for the role.

With Kaitlyn Dever cast as Abby, I’m really hating how many ‘she should’ve been cast as Ellie’ or ‘they should cast her as older Ellie after the timeskip’ comments I’m seeing, especially because a lot of them are more focused on how the character looks. I’m sure she’ll do awesome as Abby, and I’m sure she’d have been good as Ellie, but c’mon! Bella Ramsey gave such a wonderful, heartfelt, haunting performance as Ellie that I genuinely believe is one of the best performances I’ve ever seen. They’ve proven that they can pull off the violence, the sadness, the humor that’s integral to Ellie’s character ten times over. Not to mention how much they’ve bonded with Pedro! Are you seriously saying that you want to replace an amazing actor with amazing chemistry with all of their costars who’s not even just nailed, but somehow even added to, the source material? Just because they don’t look like how the character does in an entirely different medium?! I’m (not) sorry, but if the thing you care about most in tlou is if you find Ellie (one of the only non-sexualized female video game characters, especially in narrative driven games like that) hot, then maybe you should seriously consider your thought process for that.
Anyway, thanks for coming to my TED Talk. We love Bella on this blog. We also love basic respect and human decency, so don’t criticize people’s appearances and say a bunch of rude, generally just pretty shitty things about people.
