GYRO............. MY BELOVED
Absolute favorite of the Fifths for me <3 I imagine that he shares the responsibilities of leading with Crystal since they're the two more sensible Robot Masters in the group. Some might look at Star as the leader, but he strikes me more as the face of the group, rather than a leader.
You can really see this in Gigamix 2 as well, when he and the other Fifths rescued Rock, Elec, and Cut. Honestly??? Gyro's canon Classic personality of being disdainful and contemptuous doesn't really appeal to me much; I like Ariga's version much more. He seems to me to be someone who, while (more) sensible, is also enthusiastically free of cringe alkfdsjhalskdjfhsalkjfha. The whole "Hourly Pay Squad: Part-Timers" thing strikes me as something that wasn't his idea, nor Crystal's, but because they love their brothers so much they whole-heartedly went along with it.
While I like to associate the Thirds with a pack of wolves, the Fifths are like a proper family and have the closest links of any Wilybots.
But also!! Despite the Fifths' general silliness, just??? Gyro is so responsible??? He's so quick to jump to action!!! Look at Gigamix 2!!!!!!!!!
The look and nod of acknowledgment between the two leaders!!
