Too many Christians make the mistake of assuming that idolatry, witchcraft are necessarily PROACTIVE activities such as casting spells, building up wooden statues and whatnot when actually you can PASSIVELY and WILLINGLY indulging yourself into this sin. How? Every show you enjoy casually displaying magic, 'force' or superpowers & showing it as a harmless almost righteous thing, good luck/astrology meme reblogs, rejoicing at some corny [random TV show/movie/fandom] Day, etc... puts you in a position of condoning God condemned abominations. Sounds extra? Y'all think that Jesus was playing when He said "narrow is the way"? Stop using the lEgAlisM argument to downplay your overall indecisiveness when it comes to take proper actions that would cut you out from stuff you enjoy and looking for excuses to dismiss their dangerousness. Following Christ asks effort, steadiness and SACRIFICE - renouncing to stuff the flesh loves & panders to, to instead follow Him, and Him only. God will vomit lukewarms.

Just because you're Saved, wrote your testimony 2 months later, got rid of your most outstanding sins (homosexuality, sexual immorality, etc) doesn't mean your story is over, that there aren't still other HUGE flaws in your overall lifestyle, and that you're above spiritually backsliding. We should NEVER stop making efforts and be vigilant and keep cutting off harmful worldly influence into our life.

The lack of decisiveness is what casts a bunch of Christian into Hell.

Downplaying this reality is not only irresponsible (coming from a bunch of Christian gurus from the internet with a lot of influence) but also dangerous since you're literally assisting satan's work lowering Christian's vigilance towards worldly influence.

Stop dishonestly quoting Romans 14:3-4 to make a point about how Christians shouldn't judge each others on their respective stumbling blocks, when Romans 14 is actually about baby Christian jews still following Moses' Law struggling to fully embrace Faith (thus the reference about food they didn't allow themselves to eat), Paul calling more mature Christians to be more encompassing and tolerant for their evergrowing Faith. Paul was NOT condoning those baby Christians' lifestyle to hold authority over the Good News. Actually Paul warned us -Christians saved by Faith- that pursuing following the Law was a mistake (that's pretty much what Hebrews is about) so let's no act like Romans equalized both sides as being valid. Romans 14 is NOT about surrendering the idea of calling out siblings in Christ recklessly dismissing God's orders because they wanna have fun. Stop lying to yourselves and twist the Word to fit your narrative.

Everything is in the Bible, so I don't get why some people are out there saying shit like "hmm but the Bible says nothing about whether we should watch TV or not. Yall just lEgAlisT😜" Well that's not the point, genius. The Bible is actually very straightforward about what we should stay away from (sexual immorality, homosexuality, witchcraft, gossiping, vanity, violence, etc) so if any of this themes appears in on your screen you better stop watching it altogether. Simple. There's plenty of other wholesome TV programs to watch but yall act like saying that Netflix & Hollywood are trash is rebuking part of your identity. Yall need help.

One won't go in a strip club and excuse this choice saying they don't mind it (let's say they're not attracted to the gender of strippers of said club) and that it's not a stumbling block for them. But the question we should ask is : is a strip club a good place to attend to begin with? Could you imagine Jesus chilling along with you into this filthy corrupted atmosphere?

If your answer is "no" then you should seriously reconsider what's drawing you to this type of worldly entertainment. Cause they're pretty much the same. It's just that satan is very good at disguising darkness as light. Dangerousness as harmless and manageable.

Why are a bunch of you so hell bent on pursuing giving your attention and money to an industry capitalizing in the promotion of homosexuality, sexual immorality, and overall anti Christian values??? Don't you think this behavior is contradictory if not HYPOCRITE? I am not jocking when I say a bunch of you are under a spell, cause this behavior does not make any sense, and you know it...

In Matthew 5:29-30 Paul compells us to PLUCK our eye out and CUT our hand ALTOGETHER ...not putting a patch on, foolishly assuming that we're saved from the -still existing- threat. NEVER rely on your own strength when fighting against sin cause satan will always be stronger... Indulging into willing disobedience (watching objectively satanic shows) expecting -holy- discernment of the good from evilness is delusional, foolish and dangerous.

Don't forget that satan will ALWAYS be more clever than you so thinking you somehow have control over it, telling yourself you can distinguish over the good & bad thing of this entertainment : YOU'RE LYING TO YOURSELF. Spiritual hindrance is real and there's no more vulnerable prey that the one who thinks they're safe. There's no wonder a bunch of Christians who keep indulging themselves into this mess have weird psychological issues, EDs, undergoing strong spiritual bewilderment etc.... SMH

NA JAEMIN - THE INTERROGATOR

jaemin is childish looking, he's all smiles and sarcastic jokes. you may not even think or give a second thought that he is the most brutal interrogator in the family. however, just like taeil, don't take their looks as who they are; the mafia world a dangerous place, and it's crawling with psychopaths and madmen who wear masks.

jaemin at first tries to make them talk by tongue twisting words, then if it doesn’t work he’ll start bringing out his knife and gun making them choose- even though either way they’re gonna die, then if that doesn’t work he’ll start to work around their heads; confusing them, he’ll make them lose their minds. jaemin will then start torturing them, with or without the use of any physical activities. he’ll make them forget their names, make them see whatever he says, make them cry with just a few breaths of words, until they’re begging and talking what he wants to hear.

HUANG REN JUN - THE LEAD HACKER/CRYPTOLOGIST

renjun is the leader of the hackers in the family, he is in charge of gathering all the information from his researchers to bring to either jaehyun or doyoung so they could submit them to the leader and strategist. renjun’s job takes patience and experience; studying, deciphering, and writing secret codes from and for their allied forces and associates from far away countries.

he also mans the security system in both the businesses and the mansion. renjun can see everything that’s happening, he basically has god’s eye however in limited areas only. he can tell if things are hacked into or are just screen recordings in security footage's. renjun is also capable of taking down the entire electrical system of any household or company, once he’s passed the security passwords and firewalls; he’s unstoppable.

WONG YUK-HEI - THE HACKER

just like any other hacker, lucas obviously hacks into computers and secret websites with ease. he has the ability to hack into the rivals bank account and take every penny in his safe and leave no trace of who or what did it. lucas takes the dirty side of hacking, taking money, stealing government plans, hacking into restricted and confidential documents, and even bankrupting an entire business.

lucas also works for the chinese team, wayv. he takes part as the dealer of weapons and drugs in china, lucas does all the dirty work and always on check of the issues in other chinese mafia’s and gang groups. after his work there, he returns to New York and reports to taeyong.

PARK JI SUNG - THE HACKER/MECHANIC

yes he's a hacker but, jisung is the one who goes out to break in codes in secret vaults, and security barriers. he also the one who invent new upgrades on weapons, new tricks and gadgets to add in to increase their advantage, jisung loves to mess around the old tech and stuff around him “outdated” he calls them. along with chenle and lucas, they also play around in the garage; ““shitting up ideas” of what also to change in our perfectly well cars”, quoted by haechan.

he also has a little band of hackers outside of the mafia, his group of friends in his university. of course jisung pays them, but it majorly comes from taeyong and winwin. basically being the youngest, means every one of the elders goes to protect him and do a lot of things for him no matter what.

“ ugh, what do you even do with this thing? it’s as outdated as you are. who even uses keypad phones in this generation? “

LEE JENO - THE SPY/ASSASIN

jeno is also one of the assasins who master martial arts in the family, he and yuta have been training ever since he was recruited. he’s yuta’s assistant in their assassinations and helps him in distracting their victim before knocking them into death. jeno is a charmer, an all smiles person; it’s a perfect cover for a deadly assassin. although jeno is not as brutal as yuta but he can be if yuta commands him to, jeno breaks their arms and legs to pin them down and then yuta does the rest.

jeno is also yuta’s P.A in the japanese business, although he doesn’t speak fluent japanese he’s pretty much just really silent around the japanese employees and dealers, only letting yuta do the talking. when yuta is training the recruits and mercenaries, jeno takes the responsibility to handle the business deals and issues.

“ yuta’s not here and i don’t even know how to say “i wanna kill you” in japanese ! how the hell am i supposed to be threatening to them? “

CHITTAPHON LEECHAIYAPORNKUL - THE MEDIC

ten was just a normal doctor, in a normal hospital. he was doing surgery to a man who had various gun shots on his body, however, his patient died. Not long after, he found out that this patient was leader of a criminal gang and ambushed him one night as he was going home. They mugged him and was about to kill him, when suddenly taeyong and yuta appeared and killed the men. ten was now indebted to them.

taeyong made an offer, either join their mafia and they’ll help him get out of their hit list or he’ll be on his own, with no protection. of course he chose to join, for he had no choice. ten didn’t want to die, he had children to take care of since his wife left him.

however, ten has not been in any fights, neither hand to hand nor gun fights. he was always on stand by in the van, only going out if someone was in need of medications and casts for injuries. he’s the cliche type of doctor who says, “i became a doctor to heal people, not kill them.”

“ i hated seeing blood... it was one of my worst fears. however, i also hated seeing doctors who have the capacity to help but can’t just because they aren’t payed enough to. i forced myself to get used to seeing it. “

QIAN KUN - THE PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR/DETECTIVE

kun loves solving mysteries and looking for clues that are difficult for people to find. he loves the way people start to stress themselves out just because they couldn’t figure out the missing pieces of the puzzle; he figures them out in less than 3 minutes.

Like ten, he was recruited by taeyong. kun was a fan of the great sherlock holmes, he wanted to be like him. so kun turned into a smartass private detective who joined the police department in New York. kun was despised by everyone there but they needed him cause he was right all the time. until for a short time. taeyong was in search of the famous qian kun and found him investigating a murder in a factory. he offered kun a proposal, either join him and his family or stay with a bunch of mindless cops who do nothing but stab him in the back.

he though about his reputation, what progress could it do if he just stayed with the police force taking all his credit? kun decided for himself that it would be the best strategy if he joined a top notch mafia to show those amateurs what he’s really capable of.

now, teyong assigned him to lead their investigating team and collaborated with the same police department he was in before. this time he was making the rules.

“ no you idiotic blue uniformed baboon, he was obviously murdered. don’t you see the struggle within the room? the destroyed funiture? the broken window? the torn stained clothes for christ’s sake? jeez even a blind man can tell. “

ZHONG CHENLE - THE EXPLOSIVES EXPERT

now things that involve either blowing things up or just explosives alone, chenle is your man. he plants them just before missions start, chenle is always ready to make evidence disappear with just a press of a button or a push of a lever. he’s basically like an arsonist, just wilder and scarier.

chenle holds so much explosives, it even makes the members think he’s a bomb himself. they even call him the “Cherry Bomb”, he’s sweet and fun to be with when he’s away from all the killing and violence, but in the battlefield- he becomes the definition of violence, the war machine.

“ am i that scary? don’t worry, i’m just a harmless teenager ! nothing can ever happen as long as your not my enemy. “

TOPIC: HOW TO OVERCOME THE WORLD

Let us Pray: Lord we thank you for the very breath of life and this precious opportunity to share your living word. I pray Lord, that you guide us and teach us to hear your voice so that we may be the doers of your word and not just hearers. Glory and honor be to your Holy name. Amen.

TOPIC: HOW TO OVERCOME THE WORLD

The world represents everything that displeases God, opposes His teaching, and is under Satan’s dominion. (1 John 5:19).

Many philosophies, ideas and doctrines distort or degrade Christ and His sacrifice on the cross of Calvary. These offer a salvation not found in the Word of God, and are all manifestations of the world.

The Apostle John points out 3 aspects that mark the love of this world: The desires of the flesh, the desires of the eyes and the pride of life. John 2:15- 17 says “Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it, but he who does the will of God abides forever.

¶ Lust of the flesh:

These are those desires that are in us by nature and impel us to do the wrong things. They incite us, even from childhood, to yield to what the flesh desires. They can be described as the satisfaction, passion or enjoyment that is felt by doing wrong things. In doing these things, we give room to sin in our lives.

Galatians 5:17 says, “For the flesh lusts against the Spirit and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish.” This shows the conflict found in every Christian life. The flesh wants one thing while the spirit wants another. That is why it is important to nourish our spiritual man.

Galatians 5:19 - 21 gives us a long list of the sins of the flesh. These include sexual sins, sins involving pagan religions such as witchcraft or idolatry and other sins relating to temperament and character. The fruit of the Spirit is everything that is opposite to the flesh.

• In relation to God: love, joy and peace

• In relation to others: patience, kindness and goodness

• In relation to ourselves: faith, kindness and self-control

Our goal should be that our spirit wins the battle against the flesh.>If we want to conquer the desires of the flesh, we have to pay special attention to our spirit. We must feed it and care for it in such a way that in the face of temptation, the spirit prevails.

¶ Lust of the Eyes:

The eyes can be a fountain of life, purity and inspiration, or they can be an instrument of evil, perversion, and bad desires. Dr. W. E Vine describes them as being, “the principal avenue to temptation. “The desires of the eyes” can be described as perversions, bad intentions and selfish delights that include not only the sight, but also the mind and imagination. The Bible teaches in 2 Peter 2:14 “having eyes full of adultery and that cannot cease to sin, …” And in Matthew 5:27 – 29; “You have heard

that it was said to those of old, “You shall not commit adultery. But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.”

The word “look” refers to the desires of the eyes, a look laden with lust, which wakens impure images and desires in our minds.

Someone once said, “the first look isn’t sinful but the second look is.” This second look aims to satisfy the mind's own desires.

Beacon's commentary says that this type of lust is “the tendency to be captivated by the exterior appearance of things without looking into its real worth.” The lust of the eyes include not only sight but also the mind and imagination. They seek to satisfy themselves through pornography or unedifying books, magazines or movies. They create an addiction that can only be quenched by giving in to the pleasures of the flesh. Generally, these desires are fed by thoughts convincing us that sin is something pleasant, pleasurable and desirable.

We justify the sinful thought as being acceptable as something harmless and insignificant. And since we haven’t actually done anything we are convinced it is not sin.

What's more, it keeps us from seeing the consequences that our behavior may bring to our lives and to those that we love.

When the mind delights itself with memories of past sexual experience, drunkenness, parties, or gambling. The enemy shows you the fun you experienced, the pleasures you felt, and how wonderful it would be to experience them again. These memories are accompanied by thoughts like, “there’s nothing wrong with that,” or, “everyone is doing it”, or, “I can’t become a fanatic.” The mind does not concentrate on the consequences that will come sooner or later, but on the desire and pleasures it wants to feel again. The influence the lust of the eye has on us is acute. They manipulate our mind and cause us to forget what Christ did for us.

That is why it is good to follow the Apostle Paul's counsel, when he exhorts us to walk in the Spirit and do not satisfy the desires of the flesh.

¶ Pride of life: This refers to the belief that the reason for life is found in the worldly appearance and worth of things, and not in how God values them. Pride is the illusion that leads people into superficiality, inflates their egos, and makes them believe that their worth is based on position, money and friends.

These vanities turn into strongholds for people who open the door to them. Vanities lead them to believe that their own ability has given them positions of importance with their peers. For this reason, some people climb over others in life, violating biblical principles and the will of God. Behind their appearances they hide their insecurity.

An example of this is when you spend more than you earn and live in debt even though it steals your peace. You don't change because you want to pretend that you are rich. You buy designer clothes, expensive mobile phone or hang out at the most popular places. You have been led to think these things win people’s respect.

God wants us to be prosperous. When we love Him, He lifts us to a better position. God, not His blessings, gives us our value.

¶ How the world affects me: The young person's world is not a secret to anyone. It is one that offers parties, vices, sinful passions and a worthless and empty life. The media, radio press and television, along with society push us towards this type of lifestyle. They trick us into believing that to have fun you must become part of their activities. If we refuse, we are labelled as boring and bitter people. These words boring and bitter are the most commonly used words by non-Christians to pressure the believer into doing what they want or say. The world may affect me when I give into its ways. It affects me when I take part in its dirty jokes and perverted comments or accept its invitation to drink and party. It affects me when these activities stop being fun and become addictive when I end up caught in circumstances that I want to be free from but cannot.

For example, an ungodly relationship ends in frustration and deception; an excess of alcohol produces sicknesses such as cirrhosis and venereal diseases are a result of a degenerate and promiscuous life.

The life the world offers us is a mirror that makes us believe that it is true and fulfilling. However, it doesn't let us see the deception and true consequences of its ways. Jesus does not want to remove us from the world he wants us to shine and be a light wherever we are. Jesus said: “I do not pray that you should take them out of the world but that you should keep them from the evil one” John 17:15

¶ How to face the world now that I am Christian?

A. Not participating in what the world has to offer.

Ephesians 5:11 says, “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness but rather expose them”. Right from the start you need to learn how to be radical in dealing with sin. Don't ever cloud the real issues. For example, if they offer you a drink, don't lie by saying, “No thank you, I am on medication and drinking could be harmful.” That is not true. You are not on medication. It is rather a matter of faith, but you are too embarrassed to tell the truth.

B. Be radical in your stand as a Christian.

Job 22:28 says, “You will also declare a thing. And it will be established for you; so light will shine on your ways”. Decide beforehand what things you are not going to yield to. For example, decide not to go to parties with nonbelievers or social events where drinking and other vices are predominant. By deciding ahead of time you will avoid facing temptation and prevent yourself from falling into sin. The main thing is to decide, “No matter what happens, I will not leave the path that I have chosen.” This is determination. When I do my part, God does His. He brings His light to reveal what we should say or do.

C. Avoid spending too much time with unbelievers.

They will constantly encourage you to do wrong, inciting you to turn back.

D. Look for friends that share the same purpose and goals.

Spend time with those people who challenge you and strengthen your relationship with God.

E. Strengthen your relationship with God.

Spend time with Him daily in prayer and live in such a way that you will not leave His side. When you are facing situations that you are uncertain and doubtful about, it will help to ask yourself, “What would Jesus do if He were in my place?. I will no longer talk much with you for the ruler of this world is coming and he has nothing in me. John 14:30

Allow me to end here. May God bless you all.

Let us Pray: Heavenly Father, we thank you for speaking to us today. Lord, I pray that you empower us with your spirit and enable us also to feed our spirit being so that we will be able to overcome the flesh and the world in Jesus Name. Amen.
