“Mom? Please answer me…I’m sorry. I didn’t want this to happen”
“Julieta, please…we need you, you can’t leave Bruno and I alone”
“Mija, your family misses you, your daughters need you, don’t leave us”
She could hear the voices in her room, she could feel her sister’s rain on her, her daughters hugging her, she could see the blurry form of her mother in front of her and her niece crying some steps behind. But that didn’t matter to her. They all knew why she was in that state. They knew it was their fault.
"I can't go on like this anymore" you had written "I love you, but I can't keep living in fear of not waking up again. I'm sorry"
And the rest of your letter had been erased due to her tears. The edges of it were torn and wrinkled, from the strength with which she clung to that piece of paper every night, as if her life depended on it, as if she could pull you out of the ink. It was painful, but it was the last thing that was left of you.
There were too many things she would regret for the rest of her life, no matter how short or how long that was, but allowing her daughters to cross so many lines with you, letting things get out of hand and not protecting you when she had to, was by far what weighed the most on her.
It came as no surprise to anyone that Isabela was cold and sharp with you, of her three daughters, she was the one who had been most mad at her when she divorced Agustín and the first to yell at her when she announced that she was dating someone else.
Julieta had tried to be understanding and patient with her, waiting for her daughter to have time to process everything, something you did too, which is why you hadn't introduced yourself to the family until much later. You wanted to respect her daughters, something that none of the three wanted to do with you.
Surprisingly, Luisa was always the nicest to you. She wasn't really close to you, but she would at least smile at you a bit and talk to you politely, though she never really let you get close to her. Mirabel wasn't rude either, but it was terribly obvious that she didn't want you there either.
She was always cold with you, she didn't answer you when you spoke to her, she left the room as soon as you entered and her characteristic friendly smile was never directed towards you. She never said it out loud, but both you and her mother knew that she shared the same thought as her older sister: get out of here.
And then there was Isabela.
From the first moment you set foot in Casita, the young woman made it her mission to make your life a hell. She was always making comments about your appearance, your body, your usefulness (which was none in her opinion), something that Julieta knew were your worst insecurities. She was always rude when she talked to you, she took every opportunity she got to remind you that you didn't belong in the family, that you would never be worthy of her mother.
Your girlfriend was always trying to calm things down, to reassure you that it was just a phase, that she loved you, that she wanted you by her side, and that her daughters would soon accept you, but she knew that every time you left the dining room without even touching your food, a part of you withered away. There came a time when she could no longer lie to herself.
The rest of the family wasn't helping either. Camilo played cruel pranks on you just to make Mirabel smile and even sweet Antonio looked down on you, if only to imitate his favorite cousin, and you also lost your voice. Dolores was always listening to you, of everything you did or said, so that Isabela could have more ammunition against you, there was no secret of yours that the two girls did not know, which left you vulnerable, paranoid and unable to really express anything for fear that it would be used against you. Little by little you stopped talking, even with her. The only times the healer would hear your voice was in the safety of night, in her room, where her niece couldn't hear you.
Julieta had tried to talk to the six children, but none had quit on their mission to torture you. She tried with Pepa and Felix, but her sister just shrugged and told her that she knew what she was getting into when she separated from her husband. Her brother-in-law had simply agreed with her sister, as always.
Mom didn't do anything either. She hadn't even wanted to accept you into the family, so she didn't care what her grandchildren did with you, the sooner you left and let her daughter "fix things" with Agustín, the better (no, she didn't care that said daughter had told her that there was nothing to fix, that everything was over between her and her ex-husband).
The only person who tried to make you feel welcome besides her was Bruno, and that didn't even count because the only reason he had to be nice to you was a vision he had. Julieta didn't want to know what was on the green tablet, the only thing that mattered to her was that before that, her brother hadn't wanted anything to do with you either. She was really alone in this. She started to be afraid you’d leave her because all her “family” was doing, but you always put a smile on your precious face and said you could hold yourself together for a little more.
And then the stupid Belladonna thing happened.
You already knew that you would never receive a beautiful flower from Isabela, and it was not uncommon for the occasional thorn to appear in your shoes (you had gotten used to checking them before putting them on for that very reason), but she never thought that the cruelty of her daughter could go so far.
She must have been suspicious when her eldest daughter had smiled sweetly at you, when she had spoken to you tenderly and offered a cup of tea she had never made. She could see in your eyes that you were just as confused and a little scared, but it was the first time that Isabela didn't insult you when talking to you, and you didn't want to ruin a possible peace agreement by rejecting it.
So you took it and thanked her with a soft smile that had warmed even her heart. For a moment, the older woman allowed herself to let down her guard and hope that things would get better. Silly of her, she forgot that she was the only daughter who could poison you.
You took a small sip, your mind torn between hoping that things would really get better, and fearing that it was just another joke. Perhaps you were expecting a spicy or salty touch, or some other alteration, but in reality it was sweet... too sweet.
Alerts went off in you, but as the girl looked at you with hopeful eyes, you just smiled and finished your cup. Juliet saw everything a few steps behind you, her heart softened and beating with love and hope. It seemed the beginning of something new, of a better relationship with her daughters... then the nightmare began.
A few minutes later you clung to the kitchen counter as if your life depended on it, you were dizzy and disoriented, your hands were sweaty and she could see that your pupils were dilated. Your face turned red, you couldn't seem to breathe, and he barely had time to catch you before you collapsed.
Camilo and Mirabel leaned out and gave Isabela a high five, which she told the healer that you had been the victim of another prank, but for some reason, this seemed too serious. Dolores confirmed this when she ran in a few seconds later, her eyes wide and her face full of guilt.
Her niece was terrified and her voice cracked as she screamed that your heart rate was too fast, and that this was not part of the plan. Juliet barely had to hear the word "belladonna" before she gasped and raced against the clock.
She had picked you up and carried you to the bathroom, Casita seemed to be on her side for once and helped her up the stairs quickly, while she blocked out the screams of the family behind her. She managed to make you vomit and as soon as you breathed well again, she put an arepa in your mouth to prevent the poisoning from advancing. She acted fast and managed to get you completely to safety, but fear and mistrust were firmly imprinted on you.
You heard your girlfriend fighting with her eldest daughter, who didn't seem even the least bit sorry for what she had done to you, despite the seriousness of the situation, and the banter didn't stop after that. It was then that, despite how much you loved Juliet, you had to make a decision, and barely a week after that, you disappeared in the middle of the night, leaving only a note behind you.
Julieta had cried even before she finished reading it, and her screams had woken everyone in the house, not just Dolores. At first her mother tried to get closer to her, but was greeted with a shoving and the most angry look she had ever seen in her life. Her anger was directed especially at her eldest granddaughter.
"It's not that bad, mom" Isabela said rolling her eyes.
"YOU COULD KILL HER!"
"You were there, weren't you? And I didn't even give him much belladonna, just a little-"
"ENOUGH!" Julieta had yelled, taking everyone by surprise "I'm sick of all this, I'm tired of all of you. She didn't do anything, she was never rude, she never raised her voice to anyone and you treated her like dirt"
"Juli-"
"Why?” she asked with a voice so broken that Alma wanted to cry “I have never done anything against this family. I was always your perfect golden doll, I never said no, I even married a man I didn’t want to because YOU thought it was the best for me. Was I a bad daughter?”
“No, mija, that’s-”
“Then why? Why couldn’t I be happy? Why couldn’t you all support me the only time I choose myself?”
The Madrigals didn’t know what to say, and Julieta’s daughters were divided between the shock of knowing their mother didn't want to marry their father in the first place and seeing the woman the three of them looked up to breaking in front of them like a scared little girl.
“Julieta-”
“I know you never liked Y/N” she interrupted her sister “but I do, Pepa, I really do”
“Mom, I didn’t-”
“You don’t talk to me, Isabela” she growled “not tonight. You’re the one who treated her the worst, you tried to kill her for god’s sake! What if I hadn’t been there? Have you thought about it?”
The girl tried not to cry but her mother’s words were cutting her like sharp knives. Maybe because Julieta had never spoken to her like that before, maybe it was the deep disappointment in her eyes…or maybe, it was because she knew she was right. You could have died for what she did.
“But that doesn’t matter” the healer whispered “you got what you wanted. What ALL of you wanted. She’s gone…congratulations”
“Juli-”
“You didn’t want her to be part of the family” she cut her sister “now I wish I wasn’t either”
And with that, she had closed her room’s door on everyone’s faces, leaving all the family shocked, scared and feeling terribly guilty. They knew they couldn’t do anything at the moment, and Isabela and Dolores were crying, they just hoped things would get better the next day.
_______________
But the next day had turned into a week, and then a month. Julieta never spoke to any of them again, she didn’t smile, didn’t laugh, she didn’t even look at them. She just did her shores and locked herself in her room. Her eyes were red, her skin lost the healthy glow it once had, her hair was a mess, she lost weight and didn’t have that friendly and motherly shape anymore. She became a ghost.
And what scared them the most was that, by the third month after you left, the glow on her door faded. It reminded them of Bruno’s door before he came back. Pepa had cried and begged for her sister to forgive them all, Alma regretted every single choice she made about her daughter’s life without her consent, Dolores and Isabela were about to lose their sanity. Everyone missed Julieta, but none could do anything to bring her back. She was dying in front of them”
“Julieta, please…please” Pepa begged again
“Mija”
“Mami”
“There’s no use” Bruno sighed, making everyone look at him “we did this”
“Tío Bruno?” Mirabel asked as he showed them the vision he had
“She’s not coming back” he whispered “there’s no cure for a broken heart”

Tumblr media
You stood at the kitchen counter, eating the delicious empanadas your girlfriend had made for dinner. Your muscles ached from a long day at work and you were exhausted so this was just what you needed. A plate of them had been left for you, along with a note that said “For Y/N” written in cursive with a heart next to it. You stared at the intricate details on the note as you ate, like Julieta’s handwriting and the way she wrote her cursive r’s so dramatically and large. It was elegant looking really. And the way she wrote your name made you a little weak in the knees if you were being honest. It always made you really happy when she did little things for you like this. It was how she showed her love.
The delicious flavors spread throughout your mouth as you let out a contented sigh. A few cuts and bruises you had received during the day had faded, the pain subsiding and the tenderness gradually going away. Julieta wasn’t present in the kitchen with you as you ate. To be fair, you had gotten home really late and figured that the woman must’ve gone to sleep. The only thing accompanying you as you ate was the soft breeze and the moonlight that shone through the kitchen window.
As you took the last bite of your empanada, you heard footsteps coming towards the kitchen. You cocked an eyebrow and peeked over to where the steps were coming from until they reached the kitchen. Of course, it was Julieta. She walked in, and her tired expression turned into one that was happy and cheerful. It was so cute how her eyes lit up at the sight of you.
“Oh my gosh, home already?” the woman asked, looking at her wrist and pretending to look at the time as she walked over to you.
“Only home for you Juli” you said, swallowing the last bite of the food you had in your mouth.
The woman chuckled as she brought her face close to yours and greeted you with a kiss. After she pulled away, she paused, touching foreheads with you as she took your hands.
“Oh how I’ve missed you” she said as she stroked your cheek “Life is quite boring without you here.”
You rolled your eyes lovingly as you gave her hand a small squeeze in return “Let’s do something fun then… as a celebration since I’m back home.”
“And what would that be?”
“Oh… I don’t know…” you responded “Maybe….”
As you said this, you let go of the women and scurried over to the cabinet and took out a bottle of tequila.
“How about a strip tease?!?” you said as you ran back over to her and shook the bottle in her face.
“Y/N, no!” she exlaimed “We cant do a… strip tease in my house! We could get caught!” the woman told you, whisper yelling “Also, you know I don’t drink! I don’t like how you could get drunk and forget everything! Plus, tequila has the worst hangovers!!!”
“Come on Juli please?” you begged, frowning “A few shots won’t hurt! Live a little!”
“But I have to cook breakfast tomorrow morning!”
“So? Everyone here is grown enough to do it themselves. If anything Felix can cook. He’s a natural.”
The woman rolled her eyes as she put her hands up in surrender “Okay okay fine. Just this once. You’re lucky I’m feeling rebellious.”
“Yay!” you cheered as you grabbed her by her apron and pulled her in, kissing her passionately. You broke the kiss quickly, wanting to tease her by biting her lip as you pulled away.
“That’s my girl” you told her with an innocent smile.
You noticed how her breath hitched and how she kept you close. Gosh, this was really gonna get her going now.
Acting as if you had done nothing, you walked over to the table and Julieta grabbed two shot glasses. You sat down on one side and Julieta sat down opposite of you, right in front. You popped the bottle open and poured the alcohol into both shot glasses, filling them up to the top.
“So…” Julieta began, tapping her finger on the table nervously “How are we gonna do this?”
You smirked as your eyes trailed away from the drinks and onto the women. Her eye bags were heavy, the purple color being very prominent under her eyes despite her dark skin. Her hair was a little messy too, some stray hairs poking out of her signature loose bun and the way she slouched definitely showed how today had worn her out. This was definitely gonna help relax her. A lot.
“Basically, we’re going to ask each other questions about ourselves and if one of us gets it wrong, we take off a piece of clothing. Whoever is completely naked first loses and is at the winner’s utter disposal.”
“Oh wow… that sounds-“
“Fun right?” you cut her off “The rules are: no lying about your answers, you HAVE to take your clothes off and it can literally be anything, the questions can’t be too hard, and its up to the winner to what we do after this.”
Julieta smirked “Ah, so that’s why you asked to play this huh? You’re good.”
“Oh I know” you said, waving your hand as if it was nothing “I get that a lot.”
Setting the bottle down, you tell Julieta to start.
“Okay so, what’s my favorite color?” Julieta asks.
“Easy” you respond “Blue.”
Julieta bows her head in a ‘well done’ motion.
“What’s my favorite body part of yours?” you ask, crossing your arms.
Julieta scoffs “It’s my lips” she says “I know you can’t get enough of them.”
You cock an eyebrow and think of a funny way to tease her so you ask “Which ones?”
The second the question triggered in Julieta’s mind, she started blushing uncontrollably, covering her face and hiding it in her hands.
“You know, I really hate you sometimes!”
You laugh “So what’s your answer?”
She looks up at you, only allowing her eyes to show as her hands cover her blushing face.
“Both.”
“Good girl. You know me too well.”
“Ok so…” Julieta shifts in her seat, lifting her head back up in an attempt to boost her confidence “What did I make last night for dinner?”
She did not. She was really doing this. She knew your memory was terrible when it came to things like this. She watched your face of cockiness turn into one of shock with a hint of fear.
“No no no” you put a finger up before the woman could speak again “I know this one. It was uh-”
You continued racking your brain for an answer but you truly had no idea. Deciding to take a wild guess, you said aborrajado.
“Wrong” the woman said “Aborrajado is way too annoying to make. I don’t have enough time for that!”
You sighed “Didn’t think I’d be losing this early into the game, and yet here we are.”
You sighed in defeat and took the shot of tequila that stood in front of you. Grabbing it, you felt excitement and fear rush through you at the thought of what tonight could bring. Picking up the glass carefully, you said “Bottoms up” as you raised the glass towards the woman and brought it to your lips, swallowing the bitter liquid.
Your face made a disgusted expression due to the strong flavor of the drink.
“So bitter!” you said, your face filled with disgust as you stuck your tongue out.
Julieta couldn’t help but laugh at the sight. She thought you were so adorable, losing at your own game.
Your eyes started to get really watery as you felt the flavors of the drink trickle up your nose and into your brain.
Standing up, you looked at yourself and decided what to take off first. You had a white shirt that revealed your shoulders along with a light yellow skirt that went just below your ankles. You ultimately decided to take the skirt off because you weren’t going to let go of your pride.
Sliding the skirt down, you practically felt Julieta’s eyes bearing into your body, hungry for you but not hungry enough to do anything. Or should you say tipsy enough to do anything. You purposely let the skirt pool at your feet and you stepped out of it slowly and sat back down in your chair.
“My eyes are up here you know. At least try to make it obvious that you aren’t trying to look under the table.”
“I-I’m not trying anything. Just give me a question so we could continue this.”
Julieta shifted in her seat before she folded her hands and waited for the next question. You could sense the nervous excitement in her, it was so… exhilarating. You wanted to make her get the next question wrong, but you wanted to do it fair and square. Tapping your chin as you thought of another question, you looked over at the plants that hung from the ceiling and you realized how many there really were. This made you flashback to when the two of you first met. As if a lightbulb had gone off in your head, you thought of the perfect question that would cause her doom to be certain. You grinned mischievously and tucked a strand of hair behind your ear as you readied yourself to ask the question.
“You won’t get this one righ-”
“Yes I will” she cut you off.
“No you won’t.”
“We’ll see about that.”
Julieta had a face of determination and ambition. The woman’s eyebrows were furrowed and she mentally prepared herself for whatever question you were going to ask her.
“What was the first thing I ever said to you?” you asked. She froze. Her face of determination changed to one of uncertainty and panic.
“No” she said, putting a hand up “I know this one… I swear I do.”
“Do you really?” you asked as you crossed your arms.
“Ah!” the woman blurted out, signifying she knew the answer to your question.
“It was, and I quote ‘Hola Señorita, could you heal my finger? I think its broken’ you can’t tell me I’m wrong.”
“You’re wrong.”
“What? I could’ve sworn that was it!”
“The first thing I ever said to you was ‘Hola Señorita Julieta! You may not know me, but I think you look beautiful today’ I can’t believe you don’t remember!” you exclaimed, putting a hand over your heart as if you were hurt.
“I-I’m sorry for not remembering! It doesn’t make me love you any less!” the woman said, voice filled with worry as she stood up from her chair and leaned over the table as she ran her hands through her hair. She felt guilty as the memory of the event you had just described to her came back.
You smiled. “I’m only kidding Juli. Its okay, really.”
“It is?”
“Yeah… because now that means you have to take your clothes off.”
Her face of worry changed to one of a ‘really’ look as she rolled her eyes. She scoffed and shook her head as she looked down at the ground before looking back up at you.
“You’re terrible, you know that?” Julieta told you as she tried to hide her smile.
“Yeah” you shrugged, smiling “I get that a lot too.”
You then carefully pushed the filled shot glass to Julieta’s side of the table.
“Take this before you choose. It may help a little.”
“Yeah, yeah” she scoffed and took the shot with no hesitation. Her eye twitched a little as the flavor of the drink registered in her mouth, but other than that, it didn’t seem to affect her much. She wasn’t an alcohol drinker, but she had her fair share of experiences. She knew how to keep a straight face in serious situations. Especially when it involved your hand, her, and family dinner.
“Wha- How do you not have any reaction to that!”
“What can I say? I’ve had to deal with you and your hand on several occasions that include my family. If you get what I mean.”
A hard blush formed on your cheeks as you chuckled nervously.
“Yeah… sorry about that.”
“Are you really though?” she responded.
You could only laugh and chuckle in response “You know I’m not.”
Julieta tried to ignore what you said and she looked down at herself, trying to decide what to take off first. She then put her hands on her head and removed the clip that held her hair up, allowing her brown locks stained with more than a few white strands to fall past her shoulders.
“Wha- No that’s cheating!” you stood up in protest “I said clothes! Taking off a clip doesn’t count as taking clothes off!”
The woman only looked at you and shrugged.
“It does count though. I feel almost naked with my hair down.”
“Key word, almost. But fine, I’ll let you pass this once, you’re lucky I’m nice.”
Your girlfriend gasped “And what shall I ever do if you weren’t!” she put her hand over her mouth and raised her eyebrows to act as if she had any fear.
Getting up, she made her way over to you and walked behind you, placing her hands on your shoulders as she snaked her tiny hands on them. Coming close to you, she pressed her body up against yours and you felt every curve of her body on the back of yours. A hot sting in your face and abdomen formed simultaneously.
“Don’t forget this is my house cariño. I make the rules.”
You felt her hot breath on your neck and her lips move on your ear as she spoke. She then left a soft kiss on your jaw, just under your ear as she pulled away and kept eye contact with you until she sat down again. You were only left to watch as she began to leave you sexually frustrated.
“Now, where were we?”
“Y-your turn” you managed to say, sitting down in your chair. Your entire demeanor changed from one moment to the next. Now Julieta was being the bold one.
“Oh right..” she said, biting her lip as she scanned your features. Your cheeks were still tinted red and you slouched as your arms hung at your sides.
“My question for you now is…” she tapped her chin as she pondered on her next question for you.
You took this as an opportunity to examine the woman’s features. You two had only gone for a few rounds but from the looks of it, the alcohol had already begun to take effect. Or was it because she was still fully sober and was feeling bold? Whatever it was, it was interesting and kind of turned you on. Julieta’s cheeks were tinted pink, her eyes were half closed and her brown eyes were now glossy and kept looking for excuses to look under the table. Had one shot really given her this much courage? She started twiddling her thumbs as she licked her lips and noticed your gaze.
“I can see you’re staring at me you know” the woman batted her eyes innocently “What do you say we just forget about this and go do something more interesting?”
As she said this, she stood up and started walking over to you, almost falling in the process. After saving herself and telling you she was okay, she continued to walk around the table and towards you but her hip bumped it and she fell.
“Ay dios mio!” Julieta exclaimed as her head made contact with the cold, hard floor.
You stood up and kneeled down to your girlfriend “Oh my god mi amor are you okay?” you asked worriedly, cupping her face and using the other hand to rub her forehead that now matched the color of her cheeks.
You pretended not to notice when her eyes darted to your naked legs and your gray underwear that covered the thing she was longing for the entire week. Seriously, you kept her waiting a lot and it was annoying sometimes! She just felt bad asking so she just let it happen naturally.
The poor woman could only nod. She was embarrassed that you just watched her land face first into the ground. She usually isn’t the one to be accident prone. That was your job.
“Are you hurt?” you asked.
She shook her head “My forehead does a little. Can you kiss it to make it feel better?” she asked, seriously.
You were surprised she had no shame because she had literally just fallen in front of you. You were sure that if she was sober, her cheeks would be red from embarrassment, not from the alcohol she had been drinking.
You smiled and nodded “Sure my love. Just stand up for me” you told her, getting up from your kneeling position and putting your hand out for her to grab so she could get up.
Julieta grabbed your hand softly, her fingers wrapping around your hand gracefully and gripping it. You got yourself ready to pull her up when you looked at her face. There was a hint of mischief and naughtiness in it but when you noticed it was too late. She suddenly brought her other hand in and took ahold of your wrist, bringing you down with her. You should’ve known what she was going to do when she had those eyebrows raised and a smile that was hidden by her adorable pout.
A yelp showed your surprise when Julieta pulled you down and brought you on top of her.
You were now straddling her, her body now trapped under your legs and your arms placed beside her head, propping your body up. Your hair fell in front of your eyes and tickled Julieta’s neck. Thank god it was there because it helped cover your flustered face. You couldn’t forget that you were half naked on top of her, in the middle of the night, in somewhere that wasn’t her bedroom and that where you could get caught.
You didn’t know if it was the alcohol or you, but you brought your face down and kissed her. The kiss began soft, but soon started becoming sloppy as she grabbed you by the collar of your shirt and pulled you in even closer. She began sitting up as she kissed you, keeping you close enough so that she could do whatever she wanted. She then pulled away for a moment and gently pushed you off her until you were on your knees.
The woman bit her lip as she let go of your collar and watched the sight before her. There you kneeled, your hair down and all messy, in your underwear that slightly began to fall on one side, exposing your hip, and your thirsty face that begged her to absolutely ruin you. You watched her hungry eyes darting all over your body, wondering what kind of lewd thoughts crossed her mind.
She then came close to you and whispered the phrase that you were expecting but couldn’t be more excited to obey.
“Sit on the table and take your shirt off.”
You couldn’t help but still be shocked by this though. She was just so sweet and soft a second ago.
Listening to her, you quickly took your shirt off and threw it to the side. You made sure to throw it next to your skirt to show Julieta how much you had really taken off. From the look on her face, your trick had worked. You were now only left in your bra and underwear. Her eyes followed your every move until you sat on the table, your legs closed tightly because you felt so vulnerable. That’s the excuse you kept using anyway.
Julieta then walked up to you and placed her hands on both sides of your body. You sat there, frozen in place, as you held your legs closed, eyes down, and arms covering your exposed body. Her soft fingertips grazed your thighs and you shivered under her gentle touch. Her intentions were good but felt as if they were going to become aggressive at any moment. She brought herself close to your ear and her lips grazed them before she spoke. Her warm breath on your neck drove you insane and the way she pulled on the hem of your underwear made your legs tremble.
“You’re going to really enjoy this, darling.”
The second she said this, you found your heart beating so fast and a wave of fear washed over you. But it was the good kind of fear, the one that you wanted to feel. Then Julieta pulled away slightly as she looked you in the eyes. That gaze of hers wanted to destroy you so badly. The eye contact you made created tension so thick it could be cut with a knife and those big brown eyes that looked back at you were so out of it but were so sober at the same time. Had alcohol given her this much courage? If it did, then she should definitely drink it more often.
Her cheeks were rosy pink due to the effects of the alcohol and her thoughts. Her apron was half untied as well, the straps that tied it together falling off the side of her shoulder a bit. Her gorgeous hair framed her face perfectly, a few strands going over her eyes and cheeks which made her seem a lot more intimidating. And god did you like it.
You watched her eyes flick to your neck before she looked up at you one last time. She then slipped her fingers under the hem of your underwear as she kissed your neck. The sounds of her kisses filled the room and you turned your head away from her desperately, to allow yourself to enjoy the kisses she was giving you, but also because you knew what she was going to say next.
“These right here” she pulled at your underwear again “I want them off.”
You turned to look at her once more before she got down on her knees. Your legs were still closed and you were scared to open them because you knew what would be waiting for you when you did. You felt really damp down there, and you didn’t want her seeing it. Especially since she was drunk, she had no filter and you knew she wasn’t going to stop, and neither were you.
“Julieta… I think that we should uh- maybe not get too ahead of ourselves” you said, nervously.
You wanted this, but you were in the middle of a kitchen and you weren’t about to fuck your girlfriend on a dining table, that just wasn’t going to work and it was too weird anyway. You guys could get caught!
The woman respected your wishes in her drunken state but that didn’t stop her completely. She pulled your underwear down a little and you shivered at the exposure to the cold air and she kissed your exposed hip. Her lips were so soft, they felt like a baby’s. Her hands were soft as well and small so the way that they gripped your knees and pulled your legs open surprised you.
“Relax mi vida, I’m only going to tease you a little” the woman whispered, voice filled with mischief.
You used your hands to hold yourself up as Julieta held your legs open with her hands. She gently caressed your knees with her thumb as she got closer and closer to your crotch. The closer she got to you, the more nervous and aroused you became. You bit your lip when you felt her hot breath on your inner thigh. She then came even closer and left a soft kiss on it, taking agonizingly long to pull away because she knew how it would get you. She pulled away for a moment, but only to go to another spot on your leg to kiss. This time, she was even closer to your crotch, her lips brushing over where your underwear covered the thing that would bring you the utmost pleasure but absolutely ruin you. By this point, you were blushing so hard and breathing so loud that you could probably be heard from outside the kitchen. Your heart was beating so fast and you let out irregular breaths and tried your best not to whimper at all. The only thing you could do was stare at the family tree that stood in front of you as Julieta did this. A terrible choice sure, but you had to look at something other than her if you didn’t wanna finish the job before she did.
She pulled away and stood up, her gaze piercing through your soul. She grabbed your hand gently and kissed the inside of your palm as she placed your hand on her cheek to cup. She smiled at you innocently, biting her lip as she dragged her finger down your arm before giving you yet another command.
“No need to be nervous. Lay down for me, mi amor.”
Without hesitation, you laid down and obliged to Julieta’s wishes. When your back made contact with the cold wooden table, you got chills and shivered a little. Goosebumps formed all along your arms and legs simultaneously. The way your heart beat in your chest in that very moment had never and will never be matched again and the mix of fear and excitement you felt was so beyond anything you had ever dreamed of. The image of the cream colored ceiling was blocked from your view when Julieta face popped into view as she made herself comfortable by sitting on you, straddling your body between her legs. She sat on top of you, her thighs closing in on your body. You felt your face heating up in embarrassment because you allowed yourself to get into this position without a fight. But truthfully, you didn’t want to fight at all.
Julieta then tucked a stray hair away from your face as she studied your features. That focused look on her face really had you thinking if she was still somewhat sober. The way her brown eyes studied you was with such curiosity and wonder as they quickly flicked from each of the features on your face. She squinted slightly and the wrinkles around her eyes began to show and her gray hair glimmered in the candle lit room as it fell past her shoulders because she was looking down at you. She cocked an eyebrow, her head turning slightly as she held a small smirk. Her face was littered with tiny freckles and her cheeks were so pink, you almost didn’t notice the way her entire demeanor changed yet again as she studied you. Her lips looked so soft and pink, you would move mountains and start a war if it meant you could kiss them again. They were so perfectly framed and plump, almost as if they were shaped like a heart.
“Ay Y/N, you know you’re the only one that can get me like this you know.”
Her soft voice echoed in your ears and you felt such a strong sense of euphoria wash over you. All you could think about was her and how much you really treasured her. You continued studying her as well, watching anyplace her hands went as well as where those brown eyes darted to. The woman’s shiny earrings pulled you out of your trance because they gleamed as she leaned down to kiss you.
You closed your eyes as your lips met hers and it felt like fireworks. They were so incredibly soft and it felt like you were kissing the fluffiest pillow. She tasted like sweet honey and she swiftly brought her hand up to caress your cheek gently. You kissed her back right away untied her apron with total ease. The woman then took it off and tossed it to the free space above your head.
You placed your hands on her face, bringing her even closer as you felt your hands sink into her cheeks like they were balls of cotton. Her scent was so intoxicating, the sweet aroma of vanilla filling your nose, making you relax instantly.
You felt her smile into the kiss as she grabbed your hands and placed them both on her hips as you two continued to kiss.
“What’s up with you today?” you jokingly asked as you smiled at the woman.
“Nothing…. just feeling a little extra needy today….Something wrong with that?” the woman responded flirtatiously, pausing to talk between each kiss.
“What’s making you so excited then? Is it the alcohol?”
All the woman could do was nod as she pulled away and started kissing your neck.
“You know it is.”
You smiled smugly “Well then maybe you should drink more often” you say.
After your statement you feel a light bite on your collarbone, making you yelp.
“Not happening” she says.
“Please?!?!?!” you ask “You don’t have to think before you act when you’re this way… it’s so free!” you argue.
“I’ll consider it…” she starts “just let me have my way with you for a little.”
“Sure…” you say “And what would you consider that to be?” you ask curiously, playing with the hem of her shirt.
“Let’s finish this” Julieta says as she grabs something from behind your head and waves it in front of you. It’s the bottle of tequila. And it’s only half empty.
Your eyes light up as you sit up and you now have the woman on your lap.
“Really?!?!” you ask, shocked.
“Mhm. Go big or go home right?”
“Wow! Where did my sweet Julieta go?” you ask “You’re such a rebel.”
The woman only scoffs and smirks as she pours a glass of the drink for the both of you. It took a whole 2 hours of talking about people in town, to responsibilities, to the future, to finish half of the 25 ounce bottle. By the end of this, the both of you were totally buzzed, sharing one last sloppy kiss before you laid back down on the table. Julieta joined you, finding a comfortable spot on your chest and “resting” her head there. Her organized hair was now messy and her stray hair tickled your chin as she slipped her hand in yours and interlocked fingers with you. Her head felt like a soft, light cloud resting on your chest and her breathing became calmer and calmer by the minute.
Like you, her eyes were half open and your words became more scattered as well as your movements. Your eyelids began to feel heavy as the way you stroked her soft hand slowed down, your bodies starting to shut down for the night. You two had matching red faces and hickeys all over your necks, leaving those worries for your future selves. As the night crept up on you both you had one last conversation until the night melted all of your worries away.
“Juli?” you asked.
“…Yes Y/N?” the woman says, barely mustering a response.
“You think it’s okay that we did all this?”
“Did… what?” she shakes her head, trying her best not to fall asleep right there.
“You know” you start “Do a whole drinking game and almost have sex in your kitchen?”
She shrugs “Whatever. I’m too drunk right now to worry anyway.”
“Honestly… you’re right…” you tell her as you bring her hand to your lips and softly kiss her knuckles that were battered from years of work. Their roughness gave you a sense of how much she really needed to do this. To just let loose.
“Was this….what…. one shot really did to us?” the woman asks, her eyes now closed as she buried her face into your neck.
“Yeah…” you respond “Maybe we shouldn’t drink for a while.”
“Yeah… until next time” she says.
“Yeah…. until next time” you repeat.
“Juli?” you say again.
“Yes Y/N?”
“Do you remember who won the alcohol game we played earlier?”
“Mmmm no one… we both lost.”
“Oh okay..” you respond.
“Juli?” you ask for the last time.
“Yes Y/N? What is it now?” the poor woman was practically asleep at this point.
“I love you” you say.
“I love you more mi vida” Julieta says, concluding her statement by giving you a small kiss on your jaw.
When she knew you had no further questions, the worn out woman allowed herself to drift away into dreamland. Soon after, you heard the soft snores of your love on your chest as her breathing synchronized with yours. She was your ultimate treasure, a shining diamond in a sea of rocks. Her long eyelashes tickled her rosy cheeks as she slept with a content smile on her face. The way she was curled against you was the sweetest sight you could ever imagine. Sensing that the room was a little cold, you grabbed her apron and covered her with it, tucking it under her neck and making sure it covered her body. Although you were the almost naked one here, you felt warm because of her. The sight of her alone made you feel all fuzzy inside. You tucked her hair behind her ear once more before you closed your eyes and smiled at the thought of what another day with Julieta Madrigal might bring.
Her family was going to wake up to something interesting tomorrow morning, and god did you two have a lot of explaining to do. From the “one shot” game to the hangovers, were you guys even gonna remember anything?
‘Only one way to find out. And that was to wait until tomorrow’ you thought, finally allowing yourself to doze off, only to dream of the amazing woman that had made reality better then your dreams could ever be.

Encanto Headcanon- Dating Camilo would include... (Camilo Madrigal x GN! Reader)
Hey everyone!! Today I decided to write an Encanto Headcanon about dating Camilo. This is fully based on what I know about the Madrigals and what I imagine dating Camilo would be like. I obviously got some inspiration from other writers, but no one specific.
Anyways, enjoy! -Bar
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dating Camilo Madrigal would include... part 1 (before the movie)
~ You guys met at Luisa’s last birthday, and you looked breathtaking.
~ Camilo couldn’t get himself to go talking to you, so he just adored you from afar as long as he wasn’t focused on Antonio.
~ You saw the cute curly boy around your age playing with Antonio and couldn’t help your smile. It was just too cute!
~ You blushed, hard, when he looked up and met your gaze; you looked away already, so you couldn’t see, but his cheeks turned red, too.
~ “Hey, Mirabel, who’s this?” You asked her and pointed to Camilo.
~ She had a mischievous smile as she told you it’s her cousin, Camilo. What was she palnning?
~ Later that night, Camilo heard from Mirabel you asked about him.
~ “Y\N? Is this the person who was dancing here earlier with Y\F\M (your fav Madrigal except for Camilo)?” -”Yep. They’re right there, go talk to them”
~ You were very surprised when Camilo was tripping to where you set. His face were red and his hair and clothes were messy from the dancing, but you still found him very attractive.
~ Camilo was still stunned by you, but he managed to say a few complete sentences. You were so nice and easy to talk to, his shyness faded away, and you two had a long, enthralling conversation.
~ And of course, once his flirty self came back, he used the countless amount of pickup lines he knew on you.
~ “You know who you’re reminding me of? My next S\O”
~ “Do you believe in love at first tight or I should walk by again?”
~ “I don’t like your last name. You should change it to Madrigal”
~ (and so on...)
~ As you two kept talking and laughing, Camilo couldn’t help falling for you harder and harder.
~ By the end of the night, he knew for sure he’s in love. But he didn’t know if you felt the same, and it made him nervous and anxious.
~ He went to talk to Dolores about it, and ended up getting advices from her and all of his cousins, who had a sleepover.
~ Eventually, they helped him planning how to ask you out, not knowing you just waited for him to do it.
~ Long story short, he asked you out, you said yes, and now he was supposed to take you on your first date.
~ He found the perfect glade and asked Isabela to find out what’s your favorite flower (Isabela: *rolling her eyes* I already know what’s their favorite flower) and grow it all over te place, but leave a space big enough to do picnics or just hang out for a while.
~ Isabela agreed, and the next day everything was ready.
~ Mirabel decorated Camilo’s ruana and your favorite y\f\c\p (your favorite clothing piece- skirt, pants, shirt, etc), Isabela made them a crown of Y\F\F (your favorite flower), Luisa brought a basket full of Julieta’s best foods and desserts and Dolores prepared you to the meeting with the Madrigals- especially Abuela and Pepa.
~ Pepa was excited, of course, when Camilo said you two are going on a date, and Felix made sure she doesn’t rain all over you; but it was hard, considering how excited he also was to see his son going on a date.
~ Everyone were so happy to see Camilo’s smile when he looked at you, and they were excited to know the person Camilo fell in love with.
~ After everyone (and their gifts) were introduced, Camilo took you away. He loved his family, but he knew they would stay there forever if he won’t take you on your date.
~ You started walking in the forest until you found the glare- well, Camilo was walking, you had a blindfold while Luisa carried you after him so it’ll be a surprise. (You weren’t too happy about it, but you were really curious about where he takes you now).
~ When Camilo took off your blindfold, you gasped at the breathtaking sight- thousands of y\f\fs in all of the colors possible were growing at the glare in circles, leaving a little space of emerald-green grass. It was beautiful, amazing, nothing like anything you imagined or seen- and you chose to show your gratefulness by kissing Camilo on the cheek. You were both blushing when you whispered “thanks, Cami”, but you got yourselves out of it quickly and started settle on the grass.
~ Apearantly Julieta packed them everything they needed: food, water, a picnic blanket and pillows- “for the time sitting down starts to hurt”, as the notes sticked to the pillows said.
~ They were having a great time, and just before the dark they packed their things in the basket again and started walking back, still laughing and talking.
~ Camilo walked y\n to their house, kissing them on the cheek for goodbye and made sure they went in and their parents were there to take them to bed, and onlt then went back to Casita. When he told his parents about it, they hugged him and told him how proud they are of him and the gentleman he grew up to be.
~ After the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th date, Camilo finally asked Y\N to be his s\o. You, of course, said yes, and his family couldn’t be happier... literally: Pepa made rainbows everywhere; Isabela was going around town spreading flowers of any kind, color and shape; Julieta didn’t stop making desserts to heal the town; Luisa was so excited she always used too much power to lift everything (and caused several accidents that way); Dolores squeaked whenever she heard one of you talking about the other; Antonio always let you play with his animals; Mirabel made you a new y\f\c\p; Agustin and Felix told you it’s okay to be an outsider who has no gift and they can join the club once they marry Camilo (which made you turn red like a tomato); and Abuela just smiled as she watched you- she saw the same love she and Pedro had, this teenager made her first male grandson happy and that gave her peace- even though she thought they weren’t good enough for Camilo.
~ But as Camilo started dated Y\N, Isabela decided to have her revenge at him for all the years of teasing her.
~ Every time Y\N came to Casita, Isabela would stand at the door, sing “CAMILO, YOUR S\O’S HERE” as loud as she can and create a flower statue of you, laughing.
~ You didn’t understand why is makes Isabela laugh and Camilo get so mad he turned into her and moked her, but after Isabela explained you what happened you found that funny too.
Encantober Day 27: Grave
So...I know it's almost March and Encantober ended months ago, but I promised myself I'd finish it, and here it is. I had more ideas for this prompt, but I lost my outline so I'll add them in once I post it to AO3. @encantober-official
Dewdrops clung to the grass as Alma made the habitual walk to where her Pedro lay. There was a slight chill in the early morning air; she pulled her shawl more tightly around her shoulders. She loved the stillness of those early hours before the town awoke.
A misty haze hung in the air, blurring the outlines of the headstones lining the graveyard. As she approached, the headstones grew clearer. The one marking Pedro’s grave was large and ornate; intricate designs carved around the edges. After the funeral, after the burial, after she’d had time to process the tragedy, she had insisted that the spot where he lay be marked with something truly special.
“Hola, Pedro,” she said simply, resting her hand along the top of the headstone. A caress meant for his cheek, given to cold damp stone. She smiled wistfully, taking in the familiar sight. Alma tried to visit regularly, but today was different. Today marked the anniversary of when her Pedro sacrificed himself to give her and their children the chance for a better life. Technically, it might have been yesterday. She wasn’t entirely sure. They couldn’t exactly check their pocket watches while they were fleeing for their lives. But she liked to think it happened after midnight. The oppressive darkness surrounding them sure made it feel like it was the middle of the night, and that was good enough for Alma. She couldn’t bear the thought that lives so important to her could enter and leave the world on the same day, brushing past each other like a breeze blowing by a candle flame.
So, as a family, they chose to commemorate it on October 18th. That way, the children could celebrate their birthday unmarred by the tragedy. It was better that way.
“Ay, Pedro…” Tears spilled down her cheek. “We had quite the year. Antonio got his gift. He can speak to animals. Isn’t that wonderful? You loved animals so much. I remember the adventures we had with those horses. With Toñito’s gift, it’s like part of you lives on inside him.” She shook her head, the corners of her lips tugging up into a smile. “But I’m sure you already knew that. No doubt you had a say in his gift.” It wasn’t an opinion she had ever dared to voice to anyone else, but Alma had a sneaking suspicion that Pedro had lived on in the house that had mysteriously sprung up in the valley across the river. Their Casita.
Clearing her throat, she continued. “We lost our gifts and got them back again. Mirabel…she saved us all. You would be so proud of her, Pedro. She’s just like you. Thanks to her, our magic is stronger than ever.” She sniffled, wiping the tears from her eyes. “And Brunito came home. We are all together again. Well…” she choked back a sob, “not all of us.”
She pulled a candle out of her pocket. It wasn’t the magical candle that had sustained them for all those years. Instead, it was an ordinary candle; one you could pass by a thousand times and not throw a second glance. But love had a way of turning the ordinary into something extraordinary, and it had been their love of candles that had first brought them together. Carefully, she lit the candle and placed it near the headstone. She closed her eyes, murmuring a quick prayer.
The sun climbed slowly up the horizon, streaking a brilliant yellow through the gray. Alma traced the letters on the headstone, bargaining with herself for more time. Couldn’t she stay just a little while longer? But in her heart, she knew she couldn’t. Giving the headstone one last lingering look, she nodded stiffly and turned to head back home.
The sun was higher in the sky than Julieta would have liked by the time she made it to her papá’s grave. Despite her best efforts, she just hadn’t been able to finish cooking all the food any earlier. Between tending to injuries and checking on her children, it had taken her far longer than anticipated to prepare the foods she wanted to bring with her. Over the years, through some clever sleuthing, she had learned what had been some of her papá’s favorite dishes. Every year, without fail, she had prepared them for him on today’s date. Although she knew the occasion they were marking, she preferred to think of it as saving him leftovers from their birthday, because that thought didn’t make her want to burst into tears.
Agustín accompanied her on her trek, both for moral support, and to help her carry the sheer amount of food she had prepared. “I, uh, think your papá will be really happy to get all this food.” He winced, hefting the basket higher on his arm to alleviate the soreness of the weight.
“Ay, Agustín, is the basket too heavy?” Julieta studied him concernedly. “Maybe I should have asked Luisa to help…”
“No!” His face turned red from exertion. “Let her rest, mi amor. She’s been working so hard lately. Ever since you got your gifts back, it’s like everyone forgot how to get by without them again.”
Julieta pressed her lips together, guarding her tongue. She knew he was right, but now wasn’t the time to fight that fight. Now she wanted to honor her papá and show him how much she loved him the best way she knew: through food.
Finally, they reached the graveyard. Agustín placed the basket on the ground with a heavy thud. It was filled to the brim with the foods Pedro had enjoyed most, both sweet and savory. His stomach gave an involuntary gurgle.
Julieta chuckled at the sound. “Is someone hungry?” She teased.
“No…” Agustín lied.
“I told you; you should have eaten before we came up here.” Julieta tutted, shaking her head good-naturedly.
“But I wasn’t hungry then!” He argued.
“So you are hungry now?” An amused smile played on her lips.
“Yes! I mean, no! I can’t think,” he complained, rubbing his temples.
“I’ll feed you as soon as we get home, how’s that?” She patted his cheek playfully. “But don’t even think about touching this food. It’s all for papá.”
“I would never!” He insisted, horrified at the assumption.
But Julieta had moved on from the banter, spreading out the various dishes in a cluster around the candle she saw tucked into the corner. Mamá must have been here already. Her candle was still burning brightly, she noted with a smile. Hopefully it would make it through the day.
Once she’d arranged everything to her liking, she addressed her papá. “Papá…we never got to know you growing up, but it was your sacrifice that allowed us to have such a good life.” The words came easily to her, having heard her mamá repeat them time and time again. “I know it’s not enough of a thank you, but I made all your favorites. It would have been better if you could taste them for real, if they could have helped you stay with us, but this will have to do.”
Agustín wrapped his arm around her shoulder, giving her a nod of approval. They stood there for a few minutes, basking in the faint warmth of the morning sun before Julieta bid her papá farewell and they headed back.
Medication
Contains the following:
Julieta, Suicidal Reader, Overdosing, Pills, Medication, Blood, Cutting, No gender mention.
______________________________________________________________
The world was blurry. You could see the simple shapes around you. A knife, your meds, and blood. Blood everywhere. It was coming from your mouth, your arms, and your legs. You had just overdosed, you were lying on the dinner table of the Casita. It was late. No one would find you like this.. no one to stop you.
Until there was a sharp gasp from the stairs.
you could slightly hear footsteps running toward you, to check on you. You tried to get up, to run from them. But your body wouldn't comply. your eyes were glossy, and almost shut. You could see a simple image of someone.. with a blue night-gown on, and it looked like.. Julieta. Your girlfriend. You could hear her talking, but you couldn't make out the words she was saying.
"Mi amor?! Can you hear me?!"
You could feel your body being lifted up, and sat up-right. "Oh no.. no no no.." You felt something being shoved in your mouth, you couldn't chew it, but your body automatically swallowed it. You choked on it for less then a second, and then your cuts and wounds healed, and you felt better. You still couldn't see, because your eyes were so glossy. The blood stopped flowing from your mouth, but it was still there. "J-julieta..?" she immediately hugged you. "Oh, Mi Amor!" You could hear her sniffling. Her head was nuzzled into your neck, and her breathing was fast, and shallow.
"I-It's okay.. calm d-down.."
Your voice was cracky, so it was hard to form words right. Still, this helped her breathing a smidge. "Mi amor.. I thought you.. you.." She hugged you tighter, she couldn't seem to get the words out of her mouth. She pulled herself back, to look at your face. She put a hand on your cheek, her thumb rubbing it. "..I need to clean you up.." you felt a hand go around your bottom, then your back, lifting you up.
"hmm..? C-could you.. S-say that again..?"
She was already up the stairs. "I said I needed to clean you up, which I do.." Your eyes began to falter. Yes, you weren't overdosed anymore, but it was still late. You were tired. And tired of this bullshit world.
"Everything's gonna be okay.."
When you opened your eyes, you were sitting on a countertop. Specifically a sink countertop. Your arms and legs no longer reeked of blood, and you could see. Julieta was drying you off, since she had used the sink to wash you down. "S-sorry.. I'm sorry.." She lifted her eyes to meet yours. "You did nothing wrong, baby.. But, you need to tell me about things like this.." She picked you up again, and walked towards her bed. She then plopped you down, and she rolled in next to you. "I'm sorry I hadn't noticed sooner.."
"There was nothing to notice.."
Julieta spooned you, her being the big spoon. "close your eyes, my love.." She kissed your hair. "Go to sleep, rest well.." Your eyes slowly began to close. You could feel her warm breath on your hair, the back of your head.
"I love you, Mi amor.."
"I love you too.."
Today is my birthday! I turned 32 years old.... I'm getting old (but closer to Bruno's age and that I'm glad)
Tumblr media
And for the occasion, for my birthday this July 3rd... I wrote a bit of something!
Well... It was supposed to be a bit of something, a drabble then, but it ended up a ficlet lol. Hope you'll like it!
Here is the Ao3 link!
No warning, fluff, a little bit of angst at the start, no use of Y/n
1140 words
A very Madrigal Birthday
synopsis: It is your birthday today. Time to celebrate with your boyfriend and his family!
You yawned while looking at your ex's letter you just received in the morning by a carrier pigeon. It's been eight months since you heard from him, since you broke up with him, but he still decided to send you a letter to wish you a happy birthday.
First you thought it was nice of him, but you quickly noticed details making you realise he was actually trying to convince you to come back to him. Which you won’t do because you're now in love and happy with another man, the town's seer Bruno Madrigal.
Talking about Bruno, you actually slept with him that night and just woke up to discover you were alone. At least that letter was filling the loneliness you were now feeling, but you'd really rather be cuddling with your boyfriend instead. Which you were used to doing together, Bruno always staying beside you until you were awake, even when someone was asking him for a vision. Him being absent was rather unusual then, worrying you while you could also notice how quiet Casita was that morning.
Once you finished reading the letter, worried, you decided to get up, put something on and go see what was happening in La casa Madrigal you weren’t aware of. In the meantime, you tried to reassure yourself: at best they left early for some business and simply let you sleep. Then you realised that, at worst, something happened to them, and you readied yourself to fight any foe who could have taken your lover and his family.
When you got out of Bruno's room you started to perceive low voices but couldn't make out what they were saying. In an attempt to do so, you slowly got down the stairs to finally hear a worrying phrase:
"Quiet! She's coming!"
It was Mirabel's voice. You hurried down to see her run toward the kitchen, where you followed her, ready to ask for an explanation.
You barely arrived in it when you saw the entire family there throwing confetti and yelling:
"¡Feliz cumpleaños!"
Taken by surprise, you froze in your tracks, not expecting that kind of outcome. You were so shocked you barely noticed some of them throwing a box of maizena at you, closely followed by eggs. Then, a smiling Bruno got closer to you with a big box, singing a loving:
"Feliz cumpleaños Amor, cumpleaños feliz, te deseamos a ti."
You looked at him with a dumbfounded look before your brain made you finally realise what was happening: The Madrigals threw you a surprise party to celebrate your birthday, and your boyfriend was gifting you something for the occasion. Touched, you smiled and took the present from his hands, while the Madrigals were singing:
"¡Cumpleaños feliz, te deseamos a tí, feliz cumpleaños, feliz cumpleaños a tí! ¡Que los cumpla feliz, que los vuelva a cumplir, que los siga cumpliendo, hasta el año tres mil!"
After wishing you a long life, the Madrigals came to you with many other presents they held towards you with big smiles, gifting you one per Madrigal, making it twelve you had to put away in a corner of the kitchen since it soon became too heavy to carry at once.
When they all finished to give you something, you happily thanked them before kissing your boyfriend, who repeated:
“¡Cumpleaños feliz amor!”
“I’m so happy! I didn’t see you when I woke up and thought you left me!” you finally confessed.
“What? Me? Never!” he reassured you, surprised by your worries. “I love you way too much to ever leave you.”
You smiled at him, thinking how much you loved him, before you were grabbed by the arms by Mirabel and Camilo, who led you further into the kitchen. Only then you noticed the balloons everywhere in the room, the torta negra on the table and the piñata not far from it. It really felt like a special day and it made you incredibly happy!
The teens sit you in front of the cake, before taking their places at each side of you, soon followed by the rest of the family. Since there wasn’t any empty spot besides you, Bruno had to sit a bit further with a disappointed look. You felt the same, but didn’t say anything since you were too happy to celebrate your birthday with his family. However, you profited in that he was in charge of lighting the candles on the cake, that he was leaning toward you then, to kiss him, making him blush and his family laugh. Some teasing ensued too, which you both expected and were used to since you got together.
You finally blew the candles, which got followed by applause, before Julieta started to serve the shares. At the same time, Pepa joked:
"It was made by Bruno so if you're injured it won't heal you."
"Bruno made it?" you exclaimed with surprise, making him look down on his plate with shyness.
"Sí!" confirmed Agustín "It's your first birthday since you two became a couple, he wanted to do something special for you."
While he was still blushing, you smiled once again in front of that lovely gesture from your boyfriend. Then, curious about how well he was able to cook, you tasted it, imitated by the Madrigals. Maybe he managed to be as good as Julieta?
Well, he wasn’t as good as Julieta. However...
“It’s delicious!”
“Really?” he exclaimed, turning to you with happiness.
“Really, the cake is really good! You did well, Amor!”
He grinned from ear to ear, visibly glad you were thinking so, before resuming his eating. Which you did too, talking with him, Camilo, and Mirabel about his skills in cooking. It seems like he used to cook for Julieta when she was too exhausted to do so. Of course, then the meals wouldn’t have any healing properties but it was useful for his sister’s own health.
Soon after the cake was finished, Isabela and Dolores blindfolded you, then gave you a stick to start the piñata game. Under the Madrigal’s instructions you began to hit it with the stick, missing a few times under the family’s laughs, but ending up releasing the confettis and candies in it. At that moment, the family cheered and Antonio exclaimed:
 “Candies!!!”
Then, Bruno removed your blindfold with clumsy hands, making you smile when your eyes met his.
“Hello there!” you joked.
Finally, you both kissed and the party continued for a long time during the morning, to stop at lunch, and to resume in the evening. It continued until late at night, where you lovingly tugged yourself in Bruno’s arms, lying in bed with him.
That day confirmed how you were right to have chosen to be with him. You were indeed happy! You reminded yourself to throw your ex’s letter in the trash.
Here's a little preview of my newest oneshot!! It's called Flower Power!
It's based on one of daliceus' pieces of art (the one where Agustín has a flower beard). It's not done yet, but I'll tag her when I post the full story! (I already sent her this part)
Oh, I'm still pretty new to posting things on tumblr, so a lot of the words in the original document had italics but it's 12:30am here and I have to be up at 5 am so I'm going to worry about that later!
-----‐-----------------------------‐--------------------------------
Previously,
"Well there was this one time, Papí grew a beard…"
Mirabel's head whipped in his direction so hard and so fast, he swore it was going to come clean off her head. Her mouth was agape with utter shock. "You had a beard?!"
"Yes, when your mamá was very pregnant with you, I got a little…lazy you might say, and stopped shaving for a while. I had more important things to take care of than shaving my face."
"Hey I liked the beard!" Julieta looked at him with those big brown doe eyes he loved so much.
Agustín gave her a suggestive look. "I know you did, Amor. You loved it."
Julieta felt the heat creep lower and lower. Her whole body felt red-hot. She knew her face looked flushed. And it wasn't just because she felt hot. Her daughters were wearing looks of equal disgust on their faces. "I know I did. It was sexy. Really sexy."
Agustín wrapped his arm around her waist, practically pulling her into his lap. "You did, didn't you?" He waggled his eyebrows suggestively.
Julieta felt herself grow even hotter. She knew they were growing increasingly inappropriate. They were treading a fine line between sitting in each other's lap, to straight up dry-humping. Their daughters were right there. All three of them. Julieta tried to care. It was as if they were the only people in the room. In a breathy voice, Julieta asked "Maybe you could…grow it again? For me?"
"I'd do it for you. You know, if I remember correctly, you really liked it on your-"
"-Ok, EW ENOUGH!! We don't need to hear any more! We don't need to see anymore! EVER!! You two are absolutely vile!"
"Yeah Isa's right, you guys don't need another accident!"
"For once, I agree. You were enough of an accident, Mirabel."
Mirabel growled, "You know what Isa-"
Agustín laughed. Julieta climbed off his lap, thoroughly embarrassed. Agustín wrapped his arm around her again. "Where'd you think you guys came from? Do you think a stork built his nest above our window and dropped you off in a basket at our front door?" Julieta groaned. "Agustín, really?"
"We know where we came from and how we got here, we just don't need or want to see it. Or hear it." Luisa chimed in.
"Yes we really don't need a visual. Now can we please get back on track?!" Mirabel groaned into the throw pillow she had originally set on her lap.
Julieta began to collect herself, sitting up straighter and fixing her clothes and her hair. "Sure, Mira. What were we talking about again?"
All three girls groaned collectively, "PAPI'S BEARD!!!!"
Julieta blushed scarlet, and laughed somewhat nervously. "Oh, yeah, that."
warning: mildly nsfw implications under the cut
Mirabel: it’s almost time for dinner, has anyone seen Bruno?
Isabela: not lately. I think he may still be in town.
Abuela: still? He usually comes back in the early evening, at the latest.
Julieta: Dolores, do you hear him anywhere?
Dolores: (listens out/ her eyes widen a little and she blushes) don’t worry, he’s at Y/n’s house… and I don’t think we’ll have to wait up.
Pepa: (firmly presses her lips together to try and hide her smile)
Félix: (hides chuckle with a fake cough)
Mirabel: (kinda gets it & looks away)
Julieta: I’ll, uh… ahem- save some food for him for tomorrow.
Abuela: (considers inviting y/n over for dinner soon)
Cuando la veo (Julieta x F!Reader) part 2
Tumblr media
part 1 << >>next
_________________
You sighed as you slowly closed the drawer, wishing it had taken you longer to unpack everything, but you had taken with you only the essentials, a lot of memories, and some pieces of jewelry. You just wanted to lie down and cry, but you knew that if you took any longer, your aunt would become suspicious, and you really didn't want to worry her. The woman who had been a second mother in your childhood had already done more than enough for you, the least you could do was spare her bad times.
Still, you didn't move immediately, trying to gather some strength to face the day ahead. Despite the fact that it was your first day in the town and you were exhausted from the trip, tía Laura had insisted that you at least know a little about the place, so that you would begin to become familiar with it. It's not like it was a big town, and even if you got lost, you could probably find the house back if you walked far enough, but you suspected that the real reason behind it all was that your aunt didn't want you to lock yourself in your room and carry on with your fest of self-hatred and guilt, which, unfortunately, was what you had planned to do.
"Only for you, Auntie" you thought aloud "I'm going to try for you because I owe it to you"
You closed your eyes and clenched your fists, holding back tears. You had really hoped that moving to Encanto would be a whole new life, that the magical place your aunt described could really make you forget everything. But no, the love you felt for Santiago and the pain of his departure was still there, fresh, poignant, and all too real.
"It's nice to see you here, dear"
Your aunt's cheerful voice brought you out of your thoughts and forced you to open your eyes to your reality. You assumed that her friend had arrived. Great, time to ponder fake smiles and pretend you weren't falling apart. You tried to strain your ears to hear the conversation.
"I'm saying the same, Laura" answered a polite voice "It's been a while"
You couldn't hear anything else. For some reason, your legs grew weak and your pulse raced as your mind repeated the sweet, warm, and slightly sensual tone of your aunt's guest. It surprised you that your body reacted that way, and a huge feeling of guilt invaded you, but you couldn't shake the thought that the mysterious woman really had a pretty voice.
“Enough, Y/N” you chided yourself in a low voice “This is not the time for you to start being weird. You're going downstairs, you'll politely greet Mrs. Alma and you will pretend that everything is fine"
Anyway, you assumed that was what you should do. No one here knew you, so there was no point waiting for them to feel empathy for you if they saw you cry, nor did you want to tell your tragedy left and right. You simply wanted to look like a happy and cheerful young woman, content to live a new life in a place far away from the land where she was born. Easier said than done, but you had to fake it until you believed it.
"Okay, here I go"
You took a deep breath, squared your shoulders, and turned the doorknob. Your first footsteps were louder than you'd expected, but you managed to calm down a bit as you reached the stairs. You really hoped that your aunt's friend didn't realize how nervous you were, you didn't want to give her a bad impression if only to avoid embarrassing tía Laura. You descended the stairs with a horrible tightness in your chest, feeling how the palms of your hands began to sweat with each step, but you refused to run away. It was just one more stranger, a greeting and that was all, you could do it. So why did it feel like everything was going to change at once? As if meeting this woman would mean realizing that your life had really changed?
Probably because it was true. You had spent months locked up and in denial after losing Santiago, months in which only Laura had been able to talk to you, even if it was through letters, and in which she had kept begging you to move in with her. You knew she cared for you, you were the only family she had left, and that was the only thing you could hold on to, and in that feeling of familiarity, it had been easy to imagine that there was only the two of you, that nothing else was real.
Meeting Alma Madrigal (or anyone other than your aunt, if you were being honest), meant getting out of that bubble and coming to terms with the fact that you were miles away from home, in another country, and that the world moved on without you. And you didn't know if you were ready. You stopped short when you saw a female figure in front of your aunt. Her back was turned, but it didn't matter, it was her clothes that had brought back painful memories, making you freeze in place. She was dressed in blue.
"My precious alhelí, she has just arrived" you heard your aunt speak "and I must say that her hands are more skilled, and her designs far exceed any of mine”
You had not heard the rest of the conversation, too lost in your thoughts and trying to calm the panic attack that had invaded you, but it was not necessary, you knew that she was talking about her sewing workshop and although you knew that she had good intentions, the truth was it was that there was some pressure on you for it, you weren't sure you could fill her shoes, but you would try. You forced yourself to speak, it would be pathetic if your first meeting with someone from the place ended with you frozen in place without responding.
"No one could top your designs, tía, but I appreciate the compliment" you smiled softly.
You had reached the last step, your aunt and her friend had heard you, they knew of your presence, there was nowhere to run or turn back. You watched the woman jump a little at the suddenness of your voice, and though you felt a little guilty, you found the movement and the slight, almost inaudible gasp she had let out kind of cute. The woman turned to look at you, and you felt as if time had stopped.
The brunette in front of you had a round and smooth figure that magnified the deep maternal warmth that radiated from her. Her dark skin glowed with beautiful pink and purple undertones, contrasting with the yellow of the sun coming through the window. Her round face was adorned with beautiful subtle freckles that did nothing but beautify her face caressed by time. But what caught your attention the most and made you forget even the pain that the color of her clothing had caused you, were her eyes.
They were beautiful, big, a little droopy, adorned with lush and tender eyelashes, but you had never seen eyes so full of love, life, and compassion. There was an entire galaxy in that pair of chocolate pools as if they had seen the saddest things, but also the most beautiful things on Earth. They had a beautiful, warm, and kind look that invited to get lost in them.
You could feel the blood rushing to your face, probably giving you away on your cheeks, and your pulse was so racing that you wondered how you were still alive. You tried not to fix your gaze on her too much, so as not to make her feel uncomfortable, but it was impossible for you to take your eyes off the beauty in front of you, and when she smiled at you, so calm and welcoming, you felt your breath start to fail. What the hell was happening to you?!
"Oh! Y/N, just in time" your aunt told you cheerfully "Come, I want to introduce you to someone"
The older woman, unaware of the state you were in, carefully took your arm firmly, pulling you to stand right in front of your guest. Looking up close to her, she didn't look as old as you had imagined after hearing your aunt talk about her. Sure, her hair was flecked with silver ribbons, and there were soft lines at the corners of her lips and the corners of her eyes, but she didn't look any older than tía Laura, so you assumed you weren't, in fact, in front of Alma Madrigal.
"Y/N, this is Julieta, daughter of Alma" your aunt said "Julieta, this is my beloved niece, Y/N"
“Nice to meet you, Y/N” the brunette said, smiling friendly and extending her hand towards you.
You could hear yourself responding and shaking her hand, but it seemed like you were seeing it all in third person because all you could really focus on was how soft her skin was and how weak your knees felt suddenly. You didn't know what kind of powers this woman had to disarm you just two seconds after meeting her, and as much as you hated yourself at that moment, deep down you knew that that soft, deep, and sensual voice was going to haunt your dreams.
Although you weren't the only one who was having trouble processing the surreal scene that was being created.
Julieta tried her best to keep a neutral face and prayed to all the saints that came to mind that her brown skin was hiding her blush well, but the truth was that all she could think about was how beautiful you were and how the air seemed to tighten more and more. She didn't understand why her body was reacting that way to you, you were pretty, yes, but you were a complete stranger to her, she barely knew your name and it was evident that she was too many years older than you.
She shouldn't be feeling butterflies waking up inside her, butterflies like the ones her husband hadn't made her feel in years. And yet here she was, in her fifties, with mounting stress at losing the home she had grown up in and lived in all her life, terrible sadness at losing her family as well, but with a dangerously familiar feeling slowly blooming in her chest.
"She will be in charge of my workshop" Laura said, unknowingly breaking the spell that had wrapped around you.
You and Julieta jumped a little and quickly separated when you noticed that you were still holding hands You couldn't look her in the eye and she mentally scolded herself for that second of weakness, though she was quick to understand that she was simply fooling herself, that the stress and negative feelings that were haunting her were finally taking their toll. That you were absolutely beautiful had only been a fluke that her treacherous mind had taken advantage of…right?
You chuckled a bit and tried to ignore the churn in your stomach when the brunette looked at your aunt in surprise. Yes, they had been talking about you and your future role in the town before you introduced yourself, but you assumed that the same thing had happened to her: it was different to have the real person in front of you than just an idea. You didn't know why the idea that she could be surprised by you made you so excited.
"Well, I have no doubt that the designs will be art if the creator is so beautiful" Julieta said without thinking.
As her own words registered in her mind, she wished she could disappear at that moment. What kind of weird person would say such things about a young lady she had only just met?! She felt foolish and wrong. And yet, you were smiling at her with such tenderness, emotion, and hope, that her heart had no choice but to beat faster, while her brain tried to reconnect with everything.
"Thank you" you said softly, cheeks so red you were sure you looked like a tomato "I'm really not that good but-"
"Nonsense" your aunt interrupted you "This girl has known how to use a needle and thread since she was 5 years old"
"6, auntie" you corrected her kindly
"It's the same" she smiled at you "The point is, you have an amazing talent, my little dove, and I'm sure that all of Encanto will soon be dazzled by your brilliance"
You just rolled your eyes affectionately while tía Laura affectionately squeezed your cheeks. It was a bit embarrassing if you were being honest, especially with a woman you didn't know (but who was making an awfully good impression on you quickly), but you'd never been able to deny your aunt these gestures. That the brunette smiled at you with complicity had nothing to do with your decision to allow it.
"Then I guess you don't have anything to worry about, Y/N" she said, savoring every syllable of your name "I wish you the best of luck."
"T-thank you very much" you said politely.
There was something about the way your name sounded in her voice, the soft, gentle way she pronounced it, that made your already weak legs want to finish melting. You really needed fresh air to calm you down, or your head would start spinning.
"I'd better get back home before Mom worries" Julieta said.
The truth was, she didn't feel like going back to that strange house she barely knew, and she knew her mother probably wouldn't even notice her absence if she decided to skip dinner, but she needed to leave before the heat in her guts boiled over and she committed more mistakes than she could handle. She didn't want to think about the effect you had on her, but it was undeniably dangerous and confusing, she needed to get out of there.
"Of course dear" Laura replied "Thank you again"
"It was no problem" she smiled "And welcome to Encanto, Y/N" she added, unable to stop herself from saying your name again.
"Thank you, Mrs. Madrigal" you responded politely
"Call me Julieta" the brunette told you, not knowing if she was crossing more lines than allowed "My mother is Mrs. Madrigal"
“O-okay” you chuckled softly “...Julieta”
You couldn't help but feel a shiver running down your spine at the moment you saw the sincere smile she offered you as if you were doing her a great favor by saying her name, or as if it was the first time she had really heard it. It didn't matter, the fact was that it made you feel a little more excited.
You watched in silence as the woman said goodbye to your aunt and disappeared through the door, following her every move unconsciously and not really noticing the knowing look the older woman was giving you.
"Sweet Julieta" Laura said with a touch of drama "Lucky thing that she was the first Madrigal you met, dear."
"Why?" you asked, looking at her with a curious frown
"Because she is the kindest of them all" she smiled at you "...and she is also beautiful, isn’t she?"
Your eyes widened and you felt your cheeks catch fire again. You turned your head to avoid your aunt's gaze, but her scandalous (although warm) laugh resonated deep within your being. Guilt swirled inside you again and the cold in your chest seemed to grow as if it were trying to get bigger than the soft warmth that was slowly beginning to rise inside you as well. You ignored your aunt's taunts, but deep inside you couldn't help but think that even if the town didn't turn out to be as magical as you thought, at least one person in it was.
Tumblr media
“I’ll be back before sundown” a 25 year old Julieta told her childhood lover before she planted one last kiss on his lips and pulled away from his gentle touch.
“Ayy mi amor, do you really have to go?” Agustin asks, standing up from his chair and bringing Julieta in close again like he had her before. He wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her chest towards his as he ran his hands through her hair and took in her familiar scent. Her giggles filled his ears and it brought a smile to his lips.
“Seriously Agustin! I have to go now, my mom will be expecting me!” Julieta said, managing to wiggle out of his grip and grab her things “I won’t be gone forever, I swear.”
She kissed his neck and pushed him away as uncontrollable laughter enveloped the two of them.
As she walked away towards the exit of Agustin’s home, he quickly grabbed her wrist and touched foreheads with his girlfriend. It never failed to cause a loving eye roll from her.
“You promise?” Agustin’s said, holding out his pinky as he gazed at her lovingly. The way Julieta looked back at him made butterflies grow in his stomach. He was so in love and was so ready to marry her. Her was going to ask her soon enough.
“I promise” Julieta responded, interlocking pinkies with him before she left one last kiss on his forehead and turned around to walk away.
“Te quiero mami” Agustín said, watching the love of his life walk away, his eyes wandering around her body.
At this point, Julieta had already opened the door and slightly turned her her head so that she could see him from the corner of her eye.
“I love you more mi vida” she responded, walking out the door and gently closing it with a doting smile on her face.
Walking to the town square, she thought about what she was going to do with Agustin by sundown when she returned home from work. As she thought about it, her mind wandered to the people she could possibly see there while she worked, and you somehow came up. The more she allowed herself to think of you, she felt her heart skip a few beats and she scurried the rest of the way to her stand where she knew you’d be near.
When she arrived, she saw you handing out flowers from your garden to people, mostly children. Julieta watched you greet people with your warm smile and kind words as you handed them the flowers you grew with all of your love and care. She continued watching and saw that when you kneeled down to one of the children, he tucked a little yellow flower behind your ear and the smile that followed made her weak in the knees. It was an amazing sight and you were so beautiful. The way the sun shone on your skin and how your hair flowed in the soft breeze and the smile that tugged at your lips was somehow brighter than anything she had ever seen. She then watched you thank the child and hug him, sending goosebumps all over your girlfriend’s body.
Julieta loved how naturally good you were with kids and it made her fall even more in love with you. God she could never get enough of this sight. A wave of nervous butterflies washed over the woman when your gaze found her, your eyes softening as you two walked over to each other to meet in the middle. Julieta found herself smiling so much her cheeks hurt and her hands that held the baked goods in a basket fell numb. She felt like a little schoolgirl talking to her crush.
“Work can wait for now” she thought.
“What’s got you all smiley eh? You in love or something?” you asked when you reached her, taking the basket out of her hand and gently placing it on the ground. You took ahold of her soft hands and rubbed them with your thumb. You then raised one of them to your mouth, your lips gently brushing along her knuckles.
“Yeah. With you.” The woman told you, giggling as her cheeks tinted a bright pink color.
You scoffed as your cheeks started to match hers and you wrapped your arms around her legs, under her butt as you picked her up and spun her around. She was as light as a feather and she was so comfortable in your grasp. Julieta’s squeals that followed made you form a smile that would never fade.
“God I could just kiss you!” you said excitedly, putting her down and stepping back to look at the sight before you.
All you saw was an adult looking child with innocent eyes that stared back at you and was about to say “again” because she loved the way you twirled her.
“Then do it…” Julieta paused “At the river!” she exclaimed, giving you a quick peck on the cheek before she took off running. Thank god you had quick reflexes because you were running after her, the large basket of baked goods in hand.
“Hey Julieta wait! That’s not fair you got a headstart! And you kinda forgot something!”
That run to the river really made you work for that kiss, and for the meal you two were going to share. She was never not smiling when she was with you.
But one thought remained at the back of her mind and stuck out like a sore thumb…
How was she ever going to choose between you and Agustin?
Julieta was seeing the two of you at the same time, without one knowing about the other. She kept telling herself that she was in love with the both of you and she couldn’t bear to hurt either of you, knowing that she was going to have both of you, or neither.
She didn’t know how this happened, it’s not like it was planned or anything. One thing led to another and she somehow ended up with a girlfriend and a boyfriend. But that didn’t change anything. She still gave you guys unconditional love, care, and energy.
The moment either of you would find out she knew that you two were going to fight each other for the sake of the woman you loved most. Julieta felt immense guilt and the only thing she could do was push down her emotions and hide them until she could figure out a solution… The woman didn’t want to accept that if either of you found out it would hurt you guys and she’d lose you two in a second. She just needed some time.
But some time wasn’t enough for what was in store for her.
-
Before you knew it, your relationship with Julieta had lasted almost a year and your love’s birthday was coming up. You kind of had an idea of what to get her, since she told you her favorite things were plants and chocolate. So during that afternoon while she was home with her mother and siblings planning for her 26th birthday, you decided it was best to go get her a gift. You walked to the plaza, where all the stands were selling little knick knacks, foods, clothing, and much more.
As you walked through the crowds, a small stand that was titled “Sweets and more” caught your eye so you thought it wouldn’t hurt to stop by for a little. The closer you got to the shop, the more it revealed. It was run by an old woman with long white hair and she was talking to a tall man in a dark blue suit and glasses that also seemed interested. When you finally stopped in front of the stand, the woman was talking to the man about chocolate as well.
“So you say she likes chocolate eh?” she said, handing the man a heart shaped box with little chocolates inside “This is our newest chocolate with the best quality and ingredients! I promise you she’ll love it!” the elderly woman insisted “So whaddya say?”
“Give me a few minutes to think about it hm? I want to make sure this is perfect for her” the man softly spoke, voice filled with nothing but kindness.
You watched how gentle and kind he was to the woman, he was no dummy or one that could be easily swayed. He seemed very relaxed and outgoing, but very serious at the same time. As he examined the red heart box with a red ribbon tied in a knot, his glasses slightly fell off his face and his hair fell over his eyes as well but he quickly fixed himself. He cocked his head and mumbled to himself, and you couldn’t help but watch. Something about him seemed… enticing.
“So what about you señorita? Is there anything you’re looking for?” the white haired woman asked, snapping you out of your trance.
You jolted and your eyes darted to her “U-uh yes I’m looking for some chocolate. Do you happen to have any here?” you asked nervously. You tended to ask dumb questions when you were nervous.
“Well of course we do!” she responded “What type are you looking for today? White chocolate? Milk chocolate? Dark chocolate?”
You watched the woman reach for 3 different crates and pulled a red heart shaped box out of each of them and presented it to you. She watched you tap your chin and think about which flavor Julieta would enjoy the most based on previous experiences.
“Milk chocolate please.”
She then urged you to get the box in the middle and you grabbed it. It was wrapped in plastic so you couldn’t open it to even see how the chocolate looked like. Now you know why the man beside you was on the fence about this. The shop didn’t look too reliable and you had never heard of it before either. You gave her a worried look and she just rolled her eyes and said “I’ll let you think about it” as she turned around and began to organize more treats and put them on display.
You contemplated on asking the man next you for advice because you two could probably help each other out on this. He looked just as confused as you so you figured that it wouldn’t hurt.
“Excuse me sir” you said, tapping his shoulder. He was snapped out of his thoughts and looked over at you like you were crazy or something.
“Think I should buy this?” you asked, waving the box as you smiled politely.
His strange expression then turned into one of a smile and he began “You’re asking me huh? I have no idea. But never mind that, who are you getting this for? Maybe that’ll help you decide.”
“Well I’m getting this for my girlfriend for her birthday! She told me one of her favorite things was chocolate so I want to get her something special” you said, looking down at the box.
“No way really?! I’m getting this for my girlfriend too and it’s her birthday. But I’m planning on proposing! She isn’t expecting it and I know she’s gonna be surprised! Especially her mom though, she never approved of me…”
You looked up at him, placing a hand on his shoulder “Don’t let that stop you, if you want to spend the rest of your life with her, don’t let her mom get in the way. She’ll probably die soon anyway.”
This made the man burst out laughing, his laugh louder than you expected and he slapped his knee contently.
“Ayy well I guess you’re right about that. I do love her. A lot” he said, looking down at the chocolates, smiling widely.
“I bet she’d love those chocolates, I mean milk chocolate is the best type there is” you held up your box to show it was the exact same one he had in his hand as well. You both burst out into laughter this time and continued making small talk.
“I’m so sorry I almost forgot to introduce myself! I’m Agustin” the man said, holding out his hand for you to shake “And you are?”
You returned his gesture and shook his hand “I’m Y/N! It’s nice to meet you Agustin. You seem like a nice guy.”
“Thank you Y/N. That’s always a pleasure to hear” Agustin said, pulling his hand away and opened his mouth to speak to you again before the elderly woman interrupted.
“Ahh hello you two. Have you made up your minds on the chocolate?”
You both looked at each other and nodded your heads as you looked back at the woman.
“You bet I have, and yes!” he said.
“Yes, I’ll take it!” you followed.
The both of you quickly took out your money from your pockets and handed it to the old woman before she thanked you and you both waved goodbye. You and Agustin walked side by side, talking more until you reached the large fountain in the middle of town.
“Well Agustin, I’m this way” you pointed to the left, to where home was.
“And I’m to the right” he responded, frowning a bit as he sighed.
“It was nice to meet you!” you told him, shaking his hand once more “Will you be at the Madrigal’s party this weekend?”
The man nodded “I will! I’ll see you there?”
“You will see me there. I can’t wait until then!” you responded “And maybe I could meet your girlfriend too!” you joked, starting to walk away backwards.
He laughed again, wiping a tear from his eye “Yes! And I can meet yours!” the main said, waving back as you both turned around and walked back home.
“She’s just like her”
“He’s just like her”
-
The weekend finally arrived, and you couldn’t be more excited. Your girlfriend was celebrating her birthday and she was going to be there with her family and you were going to see how her siblings and mother were like since you had never met them before. You were pretty nervous because you still hadn’t picked what you were going to wear. But she invited you to the party, so of course you were going to go so you could be with her and hoped that her mother and siblings would be accepting. After hours of preparation, you ultimately decided to wear a bright yellow dress that reached down to your ankles and you let your hair loose. You then put on your brown espadrille shoes and grabbed Julieta’s gift, which consisted of the chocolates you got her along with some orchids.
Upon arrival, you watched the magical house greet you with its tiles as you walked inside the home. There was loud music playing and the sound of laughter and several conversations filled your ears. You held your gift in hand and looked around for Julieta. You were really nervous and your heart was beating a million miles a minute. Clenching the handle of the gift bag, your eyes darted around the room, looking for that signature pair of brown eyes. You couldn’t wait for the feeling of weight being lifted off your shoulders the moment your eyes would meet.
But actually, it was quite the opposite.
The hand that held on to the little gift bag for your girlfriend had suddenly became loose, falling on the ground and your gentle, shy expression changed to one of anger and hurt when you saw what she was doing.
You saw a man with his arm wrapped around your love, and Julieta looked at him all lovey dovey and tip toed so their lips could meet. You couldn’t see him because his face was hidden in the darkness of the corners of Casita, but something about him seemed familiar nonetheless. Your feelings of anguish took over you and you stormed up to Julieta and this mystery man.
When Julieta noticed you, her face became a extremely pale and she was at a loss for words. You looked so beautiful to her in this moment, but she saw that your face was stained with tears and your heart burned with sorrow. The way you looked at the man that nuzzled his face into her neck next to her made her realize that this was all her fault and the severe damage she caused.
Hot tears blurred your vision as you looked down at the first woman you had ever loved in your life. This was the first person you had ever completely trusted and allowed yourself to be true with, and she took advantage of it, just like that. There was no way Julieta could tell you it wasn’t what it looked like because it was exactly what it looked like.
When she saw tears spill out of your eyes and your struggle to speak, she wanted nothing more than to kiss you and hold you and tell you sorry over and over until you were okay again.
“J-Julieta… How could you?” you asked. Julieta could hear the pain in your tone.
The woman began “Mi corazon I swear this isn’t what you think I-”
“It’s exactly what I think. And don’t even try saying otherwise. How could you do this? Why would you do this?”
You had so many questions, but not enough answers. How could Julieta give you a valid reason for doing this?
You felt yourself starting to shut down, your body beginning to tremble in extreme anger and shock. You still hadn’t bothered to look up at the man that had previously been kissing Julieta. You did look at their hands because as his arm was wrapped around her shoulder, she held it and locked their fingers together as she calmly stroked his hand with her thumb. This made you want to shrivel up and just disappear. How could you let yourself be stupid enough to think someone could really love you like this?! This was so unfair. Why was she acting like this but said she loved you? What was she trying to do?
People began to pay attention to what was happening and the music stopped as well. Everyone around you was totally dumbfounded as to what was going on and watched the events unfold. You heard several whispers about Julieta being gay or not and many were extremely confused.
“Mi corazon?” you heard someone say, the voice was deep, and sounded familiar “Who the hell is this?” he said calmly, but rudely.
When you finally looked up at the man, you realized it was Agustin, the guy you had met at the sweets stand a few days ago. Your angry expression softened for a moment because you really thought he was a cool guy when you met him.
“Agustin? What are you-”
You were cut off by his screams “GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE NOW!” it startled you and he pointed towards the exit “Julieta wants nothing to do with people of your kind.”
Julieta quickly let go of Agustin and tried to place her hand on your cheek to wipe your tears away but you smacked her hand before it could reach you.
“You’re still trying to do this even after what you’ve done has been revealed to everyone? God now I’m starting to think you feel bad for me” you told her, sarcastically.
You saw the pain in her eyes after you had told her that so coldly, but she deserved it. She really did. But why did you feel so bad about it?
You then looked up at Agustin and he looked angry. His eyebrows were furrowed and he frowned as he clenched his fists. You felt as much anger as he did and if not, even more. Nothing could ever compare to how you felt right now.
“My kind? What the hell is that supposed to mean? I love Julieta and she’s my girlfriend! But I see that she has more important priorities….”
Several gasps could be heard around the room and Agustin was quite shocked. He tried his best to ignore your remark and wanted to get rid of you.
The man pushed Julieta behind him and bent over a little to your level “I said to leave. Julieta wants nothing to do with you and she isn’t gay. I don’t know what kind of fantasy you’ve created in your head but she does not love you. Now leave.”
“Agustin!” you heard Julieta say, trying to get around her boyfriend and to you “Don’t be so harsh!”
He looks back to his girlfriend, eyes filled with rage “Why should I not be harsh? Do you love this thing?! This thing that- that doesn’t follow the way humans are supposed to live?! She’s disgusting! You should’ve seen her at the shop! It was so hard to not say anything remotely rude to her right there!”
Julieta gasps and her eyes dart over to you “Y/N you mean to tell me, you know him?”
You ignore her question and pull out the heart shaped box filled with chocolates you had gotten for her. You held it out to her and Julieta stepped forward to see what it was. Your hand shook as you handed it to her and it broke her heart.
“Happy birthday Julieta. I want to say that I hate you right now, but I’d be lying. I love you so much and you’re the best thing that has ever happened to me.”
A tear fell down your cheek as Julieta carefully took the box and read the note on it. It said “Happy Birthday my love. Can’t believe you’re turning 26 already. Let’s stop by the river tonight to do some “rock skipping”. After the cake of course.”
All Agustin could do was watch in disgust. He could not believe Julieta had actually been seeing a woman while she was with him and he didn’t know how to react. Or what to do or feel.
This brought tears to Julieta’s eyes because she felt so bad for the irreversible damage she caused and she knew you didn’t deserve this at all. You were one of the best things that had ever happened to her and she scolded herself for not understanding the severity of her actions. She didn’t have much time to think because Agustin took the box out of her hands and tossed it to the side on the ground.
“Agustin please!”
“Please what huh? Do you love her? I see the way you’re looking at her right now! Is what she’s saying is true? Are you two dating?” he said angrily, about to explode once again at any given second.
Julieta sighs “Yes it’s true. We’ve been together for a while and at the same time I was with you. I didn’t think it would be like this, I thought I would be able to choose one of you but I just couldn’t I-”
“So what was I to you?”
“So what was I to you?”
You and Agustin said this both at the same time, not sparing each other a second glance because if you did, things could get ugly.
Julieta put her hands up in surrender “No! I love you both! It’s just- I didn’t think I could be with the two of you while the both of you knew and I just didn’t understand the severity of it!”
“Well do you get the severity of it now?” Agustin asked rhetorically “If only this disgusting piece of shit beside me hadn’t brainwashed my girlfriend into thinking she was gay this wouldn’t have happened.”
“Agustin, por favor!”
You didn’t even care anymore to answer his remark. You just stood there, tears running down your cheeks while Julieta tried to justify her behavior. No matter how hard you tried, you couldn’t bring yourself to hate her. It just made you love her even more. And that’s the exact reason you had to let her go.
The woman was freaking out because of how the truth had revealed itself and that now she knew that she was going to lose the two of you now because of this. You watched the man turn his back to you and gently take ahold of Julieta’s chin.
“Julieta I…” the man began, looking down at her “I thought you were serious. Serious about us. But I need to put myself first here. I love you so much, and I always will. But it’s clear that you don’t feel the same. I wish you had just told me you weren’t interested so you didn’t put me through this. These last few months have been the best in my entire life but if there is someone else in the picture we can’t be together….”
Julieta took ahold of Agustin’s hand as he held her and she started to cry “Agustin please. I’m sorry. I’m so sorry. Please, I can’t live without you.”
“The only way I’d stay with you is if you promised to never talk to her again…” he said, joining Julieta as she glanced at you “But I know you won’t so this is goodbye. I don’t hate you and it’s something I would never even consider” Agustin finally pulled away and tears filled his eyes.
“See you around, Julieta” the man says, giving the woman a sad smile and a tiny wave, turning around and making his way out of the home.
He was a human too, and he was incredibly heartbroken, but he couldn’t bring himself to hate Julieta. For the first time ever that night, he cried over someone, and vowed to never let something like this happen again. He was still so in love with her, but this was what he had to do because it was best for him. He was never going to forget about her though, never.
You stood there, shocked because Agustin had really ended things. You looked at Julieta and she was sobbing, her hands reaching out for anyone that would lend a hand to her, but no one did. Everyone watched as she desperately made her way over to you and dropped to her knees. She held on to your dress and she hugged your legs, almost causing you to lose your balance. She hid her face in your dress as well, her tears staining it terribly.
But for some reason, you didn’t feel a vengeful anger. You felt angry, just at everything else but her. You felt so bad for her, even though this was all her fault. All you felt was dread and sadness in your heart. Was this what being heartbroken felt like? Putting all your time, energy, and love into someone and all they do is just betray you in the worst way possible? You decided that you weren’t going to stay with her because of what she did. Obviously, it was a logical decision. Who says she wouldn’t do something like this again? The woman simply wasn’t loyal. Was it because she hadn’t felt loved enough? Or that she wanted to have both a man and a woman? How long did she plan to keep this a secret for? Who knows. You knew that this was something you were going to have to do, whether you wanted to or not.
“Julieta” you began, your voice was shaky and your tears were now dried up on your cheeks.
Your arms hung at your sides and you had absolutely no energy left to deal with this, but you had to. The entire room was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. Everyone watched quietly, curious to know what your next move was.
“Julieta” you said again, more stern this time “Look at me.”
The woman slowly looked up at you and she was a complete mess. Her hair was all messy and her bangs were stuck to her forehead because she was sweating and crying so much. Her eyes were like puddles and tears continued to pour out of them and her eyebrows were raised, showing her adorable forehead lines. Her eyelashes were wet too and they looked like a doll’s. Her cheeks were flushed, a light pink color staining them and she rubbed her nose, which was most obviously stuffed because of the way she was breathing. Her lips were as soft and plump as ever, quivering as a teardrop made its way into the corner of her mouth.
“You have to let me go” you told her, your voice breaking. You were going to cry again.
“Y/N please. What I did was a mistake and I’m so sorry” Julieta responded, holding onto you a little bit tighter.
“And this mistake is something you are going to have to live with.”
“Please. I can’t lose you.”
“You already have. Now please, just let me go and don’t make this harder for yourself” you said, tears filling your eyes and threatening to escape once more.
“Y/N please I can change! I won’t go back to him I swear just-”
“JULIETA LET ME GO” you yelled, startling the woman, yourself, and everyone around you.
The woman began crying even more and those brown eyes that looked at you with extreme hurt made you feel so guilty. You bent down and gently pulled her arms off you, leaving her there kneeling alone. You slowly walked away, crying uncontrollably but silent. There were hundreds of eyes watching you take the hardest walk away from someone you had ever done.
When you had reached the entrance, Julieta’s voice had called out to you once more.
“Does that mean I won’t see you at the river tomorrow?”
Your back was now facing her as you walked and you immediately stopped in your tracks when she said this. Hearing the pain in her voice, you felt a pang in your chest and you bit your lip, trying to hold back a sob. A waterfall of tears poured out of your eyes and you wanted nothing more than to hold her again. But you’d rather feel love over pain, so you collected yourself and walked out of Casita.
That night, you cried for hours straight. Your eyes were so red and puffy that you could barely see. You fell asleep to the sounds of your sobs along with the companionship of misery. You lost motivation for everything and didn’t tend to your garden for a while. The neighborhood kids would always come by your home for some of your flowers, but you never answered the door when they knocked.
Julieta had never gotten to finish her 26th birthday celebration. She stayed in her room for the whole night, drowning in her self pity. Her siblings and mother were left confused and tried to figure out how to continue the party. She knew that she was going to have to go work the next day, but knew that she wasn’t going to see you or Agustin, and it caused a feeling of longing and dread in her entire being. She knew that the next day, she was going to have to pretend that everything was okay and that she was fine, because she’s the one that had to keep it together. She knew that the next day, she was going to have to deal with the townspeople and their questions, and it made her fearful. If she could, she would stop the next day from coming. All that ran through her mind was flashbacks of the loves of her life that would never return to her, and she couldn’t blame anyone but herself.
In the end, Julieta still found herself not being able to choose between you and Agustin, and that was what led her to her downfall.
The passions of morning
Julieta and Agustín start their day in the best way possible
Smut lovers, come get y’all juice! It’s just smut, that’s all there is to it. Absolutely no plot whatsoever. Have fun
Also on ao3 if anyone wants to read it there
A shiver went down Julieta’s spine when she felt a cold hand land on her stomach. She placed her own on top of it, weaved their fingers together. His hand was so much larger than hers, but that didn’t matter.
As she moved back to press his back against him, trying to get some more warmth, she felt a very obvious bulge against her lower back.
“Gus?” she asked, trying to get herself more awake.
She was met by a groan. And when she turned her head to look at him she saw that he seemed to be almost asleep still. Suddenly she struggled to hold back a grin.
A glance at the clock that stood on her nightstand told her that it was still a while until she had to get up and start preparing for the day. Absolutely perfect.
She turned fully in his arms, delighted to feel how he instinctively bucked his hips against her at the friction.
“¿Mi amor?” she said softly.
Once again Agustín merely groaned. She had to take further measures.
Slowly she left a trail of kisses down his face, starting by his forehead and going down his cheek to his jaw. Finally she pressed a kiss to his lips.
“Good morning” he mumbled, opening his eyes.
It only takes a spark to light a fire. And meeting his gaze, seeing his sleepy smile, lit a wildfire in Julieta. It was like a red-hot wave washed over her, setting every little part of her aflame. Maybe she should have been embarrassed about how little he had to do to drive her a little crazy with lust for him, but she couldn’t bring herself to be. She liked it.
“It is a good morning indeed” she responded, slowly moving her hand over his chest. “Tell me, did you dream anything special?”
A sheepish grin appeared on his face, paired with a matching blush. He turned his face away from her.
“Nah, not really” he said.
Now that wouldn’t do at all.
Julieta frowned as she let her hand go further down his chest, but she stopped herself at his stomach. She slid her hand in underneath his shirt and splayed her fingers out over his bare skin. She had to fight the smile at how he let out a soft sigh at the contact not very far away from his length.
“Do you want to change your answer?” she asked.
“I dreamed about you” he said so quickly he almost stumbled over the words.
“Very good, lover boy.”
She pushed his shirt up and placed a kiss on his stomach, right where her hand had been.
“Tell me more” she said, looking up at him.
While she waited for his answer she fiddled with the waistband of his trousers, but avoiding the place where he wanted her to be.
There was nothing Julieta enjoyed more than seeing his heated face as he looked for words. It was more exciting than any drug, more intoxicating than the strongest of wines. She felt almost drunk, but her mind was clear. She had a plan, and she would follow through with it.
“Why don’t I show you instead?” Agustín said, raising one eyebrow.
“No, I want you to tell me.”
He looked at her, silent, trying to have his way.
Julieta merely rolled her eyes and sat up. She undid the end of her braid and began brushing her hair out with her fingers. Her dark curls flowing down over her shoulders and framing her face. She could feel her husband’s eyes on her, but she ignored him. Looked at the wall instead, as she kept running her fingers through her hair.
“Why are you torturing me?” Agustín said after a while.
“That’s what happens when you don’t obey, my darling.”
There was another moment of silence, then the aching for her touch seemed to outweigh the want to win.
“We were in the kitchen” he began. “I think we had just cleaned up after dinner.”
“Go on.”
She moved closer to him again in encouragement.
“And you kissed me, and–“
He interrupted himself with a sharp intake of breath as she cupped him through his trousers.
“And?” she said softly, raising her eyebrows.
“You–uhm, you pulled me close. Which–“
Once more his words trailed off, that time because she had moved her hand under his trousers and his underpants. She wrapped her fingers around his already hard cock, took a moment to take in the surge of arousal that shot through her at the feeling.
She shifted into a different position so that she would get at least some small pressure against her core. Otherwise she wouldn’t be able to keep the attention off herself for much longer.
“Go on.”
“I don’t really remember, but you pleasured me with your mouth.”
“Good boy” she praised. “That wasn’t so hard, was it? Of course you’re getting your reward anyway.”
Before he could say anything she pulled his trousers down to reveal him, and then lowered her head to take him in her mouth. Letting her hair down had been very impractical, but she knew how much he liked it. And he had deserved that.
At first she only took the tip, slowly running her tongue over it. She tasted him and revelled in the sounds he made as she did so. His moans spurred her on and it wasn’t long before she moved further down, taking more off him into her mouth every time she moved her head up and down.
At times she could forget just how much she liked pleasuring him. How much she liked giving him what he wanted, how much she liked hearing how he enjoyed it. And how he was completely at her mercy while she did it.
“Oh fuck” he exclaimed, gripping her hair.
She noticed how he fought to not buck his hips up so that he wouldn’t gag her. Always so considerate. As if she wasn’t an expert at that point.
She wrapped her fingers around the base of his cock and then took him as deep as she could, sucking her cheeks in around him.
“Julieta, I’m– I’m close.”
It only took a few more moments before he came. Spilling his seed in the back of her throat in short spurs. She could taste the salt, but she could also taste success. The reward really outweighed the work.
Julieta sat up straight again, letting her tongue run over her somewhat swollen lips. Trying to gather every little hint of his taste that lingered.
“Ay Dios, Juli” Agustín panted. “You’re killing me.”
He looked even more ruffled than he had been before.
“And I enjoyed every second of it” she hummed.
It was hard not to feel smug when she could let her gaze run over the mess of a man she had created using only her mouth and one hand. Julieta loved the effect she had on her husband.
She could have lingered there forever, just watching his chest rise and fall as he tried to slow his breathing. Seeing him fight to compose himself. What a blessed sight. Unfortunately there was not enough time to take it all in.
She left the bed, leaving him to recover on his own. The floor was cold against her bare feet after she had spent so long in the warm bed. So quickly she made her way over to the chair in front of her dressing table and pulled her feet up underneath her.
Before she had even lifted her hairbrush to get some control over her hair she saw through the mirror how he also pushed himself up and looked at her, thoroughly confused.
“Are we done already?”
“Don’t be too greedy, mi vida” Julieta chuckled, beginning to run the hairbrush through her hair.
“I’m always greedy for you.”
It was hard to deny how that sentence affected her. The way he said it as if it was one of the laws of nature, as if that was just the way of things. He was greedy for her.
“Then come over here and have what you desire.”
She stayed seated right where she was, made no effort to move. Instead had him come to her. She kept her focus on her hair, even as she heard him move across the room on his way towards her.
Which was a mistake on her part as that allowed him to swiftly scoop her up in his arms before she could protest it.
“This is not what I told you to do” she said firmly as he walked back to the bed.
“I know, but I want mi reina hermosa to be comfortable” he said as he put her down at the edge of the bed. “Es muy importante.”
She couldn’t claim to be terribly upset about it as she laid back against the soft mattress and Agustín kneeled before her.
“Make me comfortable” she sighed as he ran his hands up her thighs to get her nightgown out of the way. “Give Mami what she deserves.”
Unbearably slowly he trailed kisses up her thigh. Kissed and bit and sucked. She had nothing against him marking her, she enjoyed the feeling and loved seeing the marks afterwards. Even as she became sore it was a pleasant reminder of Agustín’s skill with his tongue.
She could feel that her smallclothes were already soaked, it was almost embarrassing. Or, well, it would have been if she hadn’t been so distracted by the need that was building in her body. Julieta was aching with it, her core was throbbing.
“Agustín” she almost growled.
No more words were necessary, he was perfectly aware of what it was she wanted. And needed.
With practiced hands he swiftly pulled her smallclothes down her legs before devouring her. Torturing her with his tongue and his lips. A very sweet torture.
The morning was alive with the moans and sighs that escaped her lips as Agustín ran his tongue through her wetness.
Julieta let her eyes drift closed and narrowed her world to the feeling in her body. She felt almost electric, buzzing. Every nerve in her was alight and singing with pleasure.
Not long thereafter her world exploded in stars. That intense warmth that washed over her, took her under. It was a relief, as well as the most wonderful thing she had ever felt. The tingling that went all through her body, all the way from her core to the tips of her fingers. She never wanted it to end, she never wanted to return to reality. She could spend the rest of her days wrapped in the fluffy clouds of satisfaction, she did not mind in the least.
Agustín gently took her through her high, let her down once it was over. For a while all she could do was lie there and breathe while her heartbeat slowed down.
“Was that to your liking, mi amor ?” she heard Agustín say.
Slowly she sat up and opened her eyes, looked at the man kneeling before her through the haze that had hold of her brain.
“You have been very good for me” she promised, running a hand through his hair.
Through the corner of her eye she could see the clock and then she sighed for a reason completely unrelated to Agustín. How could do much time have just disappeared?
“What bothers you?”
“I have a family to feed.”
He also looked at the clock then and she saw the disappointment on his face when he realised what the time was. It was easy to forget in the heat of the moment that most of the time they couldn’t put their own fun first. Remembering that fact was as unpleasant every time.
“So unfortunately we’ll have to stop for now” she continued, leaning down so that her face was so close to his that their noses almost touched. “I’m not done with you for today, though.”
Agustín kissed the tip of her nose.
“I’m looking forward to it already.”
Recent weeks saw Miguel take a sudden interest in bread. There were multiple reasons for this; one was that it was therapeutic- the slow yet firm kneading of the dough released the tension pent up in his mind and soul. But more importantly, Julieta adored bread; if her frequent visits to his family’s bakery wasn’t enough, then the way her beautiful dough eyes lit up certainly was. Whenever Julieta was in the bakery she was a vision of pure serenity- Miguel had to stop himself from practically swooning at the sight. Therefore, baking bread was a sacred act that Miguel needed to perfect for his sanity. If I can perfect the art of bread, I can perfect the art of love, he reasoned to himself.
HUH WHAT’S THIS?!?!? 🥸 A wip? Hehehe so I realised that since it’ll be a while till I post my next fiction (uni suck my big fat dic-) I’ll give you guys a sneak peak as to what I’ve been baking up in my word documents (lmao apologies for the lame pun).
I present to you guys… If Bread be the Food of Love, Bake on … a story about a very lovesick baker boy who is hopelessly in love with none other than our healing MILF. 😁
I’d also like to credit @includeangieinthesequel and @lariskapargitay for making their Julieta love bread because now I have enough inspiration to make this a few chapters long 😁❤️
PS: bonus points to anyone who can guess the Shakespeare play I referenced for the title lmao 🧍🏽‍♀️👁👁
I got you boo!!
Sickness Prompts: Dreamer with Julieta ☺️
Okay, so like, I talk in my sleep (and according to my best friend, I twitch and have hit them before... whoops...) so I'm very excited to get this down.
dreamer: [character] talks in their sleep.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Agustín wrapped his arm tighter around the only person he'd ever shared a bed with and the only person he planned on continuing to share a bed with for the rest of his life.
He'd finally managed to get his wife into bed after an hour of coaxing her out of the kitchen. Julieta would likely still be down there, cooking for the next day, planning more meals at least three days in advance. Calculating with expert precision what ingredients she would need, and how much of each one was necessary to complete each dish.
"Hmm."
Agustín cracked open an eye to look down at his wife. She was facing him with her head resting on his arm, her face practically buried in his chest.
"No-mm," she said again, her nose scrunching just slightly.
A smile formed on his lips. These occasions were far and few between, but he knew she was getting good rest when she would talk in her sleep. His heart nearly burst when she smiled, her expression soft and serene, another thing that was rare to see from her lately.
"Mm, Tíno, stop."
Oh, this was too good, she was dreaming about him. Her smile did not leave her face as her nose scrunched up again, his little rabbit or conejito as he put it.
"Hmm, mi tigre~" unbeknownst to her, the hand she had on his side squeezed him lightly.
Even better. She was having one of those dreams. Agustín's smile spread even wider, he was always amazed by the fact that a woman like her could love a man like him. His hand moved to her side, running his hand down to rest on her hip as he continued to watch her.
"Tíno stop, that tickles!" she giggled and brought her shoulder up to her ear, guarding her neck.
He got an idea.
Something neither of them was unfamiliar with, was waking up to the other's lips on them in some way. What better way to wake up than to what you were dreaming of?
He kissed her forehead gently and then her cheek, slowly and carefully slipping his arm out from under her head. Propping himself up so he hovered over her, Agustín pressed his lips to her neck, where she had brought her shoulder to cover moments before.
"Hmmm, Tíno~" she loosed a breath and turned a bit, laying on her back rather than her side, letting her head turn the other way, a smile still graced her beautiful lips.
Perfect.
Agustín moved down her body, kissing her collarbone and just at the top of her breast. He moved again, this time to hover his body over hers, straddling her to make it easier to work his way down. He kissed the place between her breasts, just above the fabric of her nightdress.
"Sí, Tíno, I-hmmm," her words were cut off as she brought a hand up next to her face, her nose scrunching again. She huffed a breath and turned over to her other side.
Agustín yelped and fell back onto his side of the bed. In her quick movements, she'd jerked her knee right in-between his legs. Agustín lay on his side in the fetal position, his back facing his wife as he held himself, trying to remember how to breathe.
The sound of Agustín's anguish woke her almost instantly. "Agustín is... what happened?" she picked her head up and turned to look over her shoulder at him.
"N-nothing, amor. I-I'm fi-fine," His voice about three octaves too high. "Gobacktosleep." He really just wanted her to rest when all was said and done.
Julieta sat up and faced her husband, placing a hand on his upper arm. "Did you hurt yourself?" Concern laced her words as she assessed his body language.
"K-kind of. I- ay-" he winced as it still hurt. God, what a woman. Luisa certainly got her strength from her mother. "Y-you were talking in your sleep. And I-I h-had an idea. But you moved. And - ay, mi cojones." He groaned and buried his face into the pillow.
"Mi amor, I'm so sorry!" Julieta squeezed his arm. This sadly wasn't the first time she'd done this to him. They weren't sure if it was his bad luck or her terrible timing.
Agustín groaned again, "It's alright. It was an accident."
"I'll be right back. I-" she made to move and get up out of bed, likely to fetch something to take away the pain.
"No! No. I want you to rest. It'll go away." he turned his head to look at her over his shoulder now. She was blurry without his glasses, but he could still see the look on her face. She felt terrible. "Come here. It already feels better," he turned slowly and opened his arms to her. "Come on."
She pouted but did as he said, laying her head on his chest and draping her arm over him. "Are you sure you're alright?" she was still sleepy, and certainly wouldn't stay up for very long if they were to stay this way.
"Positive," he kissed her forehead again, the throbbing lessening with each passing second. "Go to sleep, mi amor. I promise, no more attempts at funny business.”
Julieta turned her face up to look at him, "I suppose... I wouldn't mind a little bit of funny business... if you're alright?" she had been so overworked lately, that they had hardly any time to be intimate these past few weeks. Nothing past a kiss here and there.
It was obvious to see just how alright he was when the bedding tented around his nether region. "More than alright if you're- hmph," he was cut off when she moved and met his lips with her own.
Her hand rested on the side of his neck while her thumb grazed over his jaw. Julieta tugged on her husband's bottom lip as she pulled away, "I'm sure... mi tigre~" she smiled down at him and that was all it took for him to purr and fall into her trap.
