It's Midsummer Eve, and as he hides away in the shadows, Joxter sees his son for the first time. As he watches the events of Snufkin's night unfold, memories from his own past begin to resurface.
Is Snufkin just like him? Or does the young Mumrik have qualities that he lacks?

Juksu (my sister's rabbit) was on the couch and my sister was struggling to get him off of it because he would just "surrender" and lay down instead of jumping off the couch. She asked me to do something about it, so I opened a page from my biology text book (that I was using to study for an essay), pointed a finger at him and yelled "Methanospirillum hungantii!" like it was some kind of spell. For some reason it worked.
