JPW - Something Happening / Always Happening

Not only is Jason P. Woodbury a great writer/editor/podcaster/dude (you know his work on Aquarium Drunkard / Transmissions / Wastoids, etc.) , it seems that he's also a great musician/songwriter. Go figure! Jason's debut under the JPW moniker is a start-to-finish beauty, like Cass McCombs and JJ Cale meeting up in the Sonoran Desert at sunset for some hazy, sunbaked jams. Drum machines tick, guitars glisten, vocals drift, time stops. Very happening!

I finished my watch of the 2021 Ribbon Mania show, overall decent but not great, as expected but still suprising given it was their biggest show.

Also I have been watching the JPW invasion of All Japan and it has so far been fun, I heard it was when the King's Road style was truly born, so I thought to probably give the 90s AJPW a fair go I should watch this, my favourite All Japan match I have seen was No Fear vs Holy Demon Army, ***** for me, but the rest of the stuff was really good, but not particularly special like ****-****½ even for the most popular stuff, but I still want to give it a proper go.

Happy Easter! I never mind answering this question; I just always feel vague compunction for being resentfully indifferent to these novels. I've read... 3 of them? I think? And they were... fine. (More detailed thoughts here and here.) The JPW continuations are competently crafted but I do not find them intellectually interesting, and this, where Dorothy L. Sayers is concerned, might be the sin against the Holy Ghost. I've read fanfic that I think is more genuinely experimental and transgressive (e.g. that of @huntercombe) and that is more insistently, creatively occupied with the practical and philosophical management of the Wimsey-Vane marriage (e.g. that of @rain-sleet-snow.) I hope you're well too!
