I think it was a lost oppertinity to have the Squirrelpaw Handiwork to be a gathering/trade thing instead of normal shop.
As it stands its kinda like the squirrels made all those clothes and gear for mc (because we all know that its not in Garys size) and then refuses to give them to them untill they get A LOT of money.
You're squirrels! What do you need that money for? Have you greedy little creature learn how to operate a vending maschine?
If it was gathering/creating like with Farah's workshop then it would make sense if they go "*insert herd here* really like you now. To have you fit in more we can make some outfits for you! We just need some stuff first".
And you could introduce some new plants to find. Mostly mushrooms. Farah said the 'leather' she was using was actually mushrooms right? So brown mushrooms could be gatherd for warrior herds outfit (and saddles and bridles). The glowing blue mushrooms could have been gathered for the mystic herd as die. Forest herd... Well they could survive of the existing herbs.
Trading, like with the archeology could have worked too.
But the traditional mining would only really work for warrior herd with them wanting to find old relics.
Mystic could have wanted to find things for their alter.
Forest herd would have wanted plants maybe, to teach the foals about them.
Just squirrels/herds asking for grey world money seems odd.

Did I buy all the new Jorvik wild tack even though I had no idea which horses I'd use it for and already having 40 tack sets not in use? Yes. Did I buy the tack specifically for the jorvik wilds even though I know I'll probably never use it? Yup. Did I buy Erinys, Petra, and their matching pets the day they released? Yes. Did I also cave and finally bought a Knabbstrupper, and then not even a day layer, also buy a Lusitano? Yes. And why did I do this? Cause my self control is at 0
I would say I too have no self control. But it seems like you take the cake. XD
I do buy all magical horses and pets and gets released. I want to have one horse of each breed so I tend to buy a horse as soon as they get released.
And I buy tack and clothes all the time  because they pretty, so I have a lot that I dont use in the wardrobe. But I havent baught the jovik wild tack. I want to but I just... close down the window without buying anything. :/ Dont know why, usually pretty quick to buy things like that.

So we know now there is a sapphire herd where all horses have blue in their color.
And Embermanes is a herd that lives where there are a lot of forest fire.
I wonder if there going to be more special herds we will learn about in the future.
Also I like to belive Galloper Thompsons mare is a Jorvik wild, even if the horse we can get at halloween is a Whinfell, Gallopers own mare is Jorvik wild and maybe specifically from the Embermane herd.
It just seems to fit better if the mare is Jorvik wild. Like 'alpha of the wilderness', 'respected by others' and 'can not be broken' fit lot better than Whinfells 'make crops grow' describtion.

I know it would probably break the game, but could you imagend the game world being in accurate size?
The villages being actually villages, Jarlaheim being a big town. Jorvik stables being this huge, fancy, amazingly populare stable its said to be. Silverglade manor and winery being absolutely large place and the nature being vast and free!!
The landscape is what I really want to get more off. It doesnt feel wild. If you put mooses or wild horse herds in the game, you would wonder if they would actually count as wild concider how close human civilization are.
I would love to get away and get lost in Jorviks nature. Like, actually need to take up the map to figure out how to get of forests.
Or ride along side the epona river and instead of looking right see a cliff and looking left and see a cliff, the fog makes it impossible to see where it ends, and maybe you could just see the outline of a woodear at the edge of the fog, that would run away when you get to close.
I know epona river doesnt really count as a swamp and woodears are suppouse to be up north but I would really love to see magical horses in their 'natrual' habitat.
Herd of brinicles in dino valley.
Looking out at the ocean at Fort pinta, you could just about to see the heads of kempos and telling sticking up just before promply diving down again.
At nights you maybe find Umbra and Alya 'dancing' around eachother by lakes or fields.
Just short moments like that, things that could be uncommon to happend but things that make it seem that magical horses are apart of jovik but are just very rare.
And new players who arent aware of these horses would get quite suprised when they witness them but dont know what they are.
I just really want the world to seem vast and mysterious.

I dont think Skyes scar is a druid circle
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(yes I use my own art for the cicles, Its the easiest and cleanes picture I can find quickly) First of all so isnt it in the same style as the druid circles. The circles clearly show what the symbols represent. They also hade that swirls that I think means magic? Its like everywhere. And many places on Jovik has a spiral. Open up the map and count how many places are created with spirals.
Skyes scar has non of that. (its has a lot simplier swirls than the druid cicles have) I first said the symbol didnt even has a cirle but its only Skyes scar has doesnt have a circle so sorry about that.
Many think it means fire. I ageed to that first but now Im not that sure. Or atleast dont think its completly true.
My original theory was that it represent a specefic magic spell, like fire. I belive all four circles can use fire so that also why I dont belive it a new druid circle. Sun is said to use a lot of fire but Lisa can use fire aswell. Alex and Linda probably can aswell but Lightining is more direct and Linda doesnt seem to be fighter at all.
But my other theory is that it stand for Wild Whisperers. Or its the symbol for the Embermane herd.
Tumblr media
When Blaze hits the ground the symbol appear in flames. So maybe that what happens when Embermanes creates fire, it leaves the symbol and it got documented as the symbol for the herd and thats why its in the book. Jwh are Joviks oldest horse breed and are used to the magic on the island so its not wierd if the Jorvik wild fire herd got documented in old books.
Skyes scar looks little too clean to be a burn scar but what if that why she and her family moved away from Jorvik in the first place?  Little Skye come in contact with an Emberman and got hurt. Family leaved because they dont think Jovik is safe for a young child and Skye dont like horses anymore. Even if she doesnt remember why.
Now when she is old enough to not toddler waddle into the wilderness, her mom thought it was a good time for her to learn where she came from.
Another thing I though was that the triangle where mountains and the swilrls where wind or fire and the Embermanes lived hight up in the mountian range.
Triangle is also the alchemy symbol for fire is also a simple triangle pointing upwards, this symbol has open buttom but it could be what its based on. But Im not sure if its just simply means ‘fire’.
