Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again Trailer

A sequel to the Night at the Museum films, Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again follows Larry Daley’s high school aged son Nick as he takes over for his father as the museum’s night watchman for the summer. He’s well aware of the ancient tablet that brings the museum’s denizens to life at night and is happy to see his old friends. However, Kahmunrah has escaped and plans to free the Army of the Dead and conquer the world.

Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again stars the voice talents of Joshua Bassett, Jamie Demetriou, Alice Isaaz, Gillian Jacobs, Joseph Kamal, Thomas Lennon, Zachary Levi, Akmal Saleh, Kieran Sequoia, Jack Whitehall, Bowen Yang, and Steve Zahn. Matt Danner directs the film from a screenplay by Ray DeLaurentis and Will Schifrin. Music is by John Paesano.

Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again has frequent mystical lightning effects surrounding a supporting villain character. These effects happen frequently and without warning, with only the first instance lasting more than a second or two. One brief shot near the beginning has ominous flickering lights in a dark room.

For the most part the camera work is stationary, given the 2D animation style, but there are brief moments involving high-speed travel through tunnels or hallways.

Flashing Lights: 8/10. Motion Sickness: 2/10.

TRIGGER WARNING: An animal regurgitates an object it swallowed.

ADMIN NOTE: Disney+ has proactively included a strobe light warning for this film. We are glad to see this becoming a more regular practice.

Based on the popular film franchise, Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again debuts exclusively on Disney+ on December 9, 2022.

Every night at the American Museum of Natural History when the sun goes down. Nick Daley’s summer gig as night watchman at the museum is a challenging job for a high school student, but he is following in his father’s footsteps and is determined not to let him down. Um... Letterman's entire features and face claim in my head is Atticus Finch from 1962 with ragged salt and pepper hair.

Also, Letterman has a private library in his home in which he keeps hundreds of books for him and his adopted brothers.

He has not one favourite book, but a whole bookcase of favourites, three of which are "The Hero With A Thousand Faces" by Joseph Campbell, "The Watchmen" visual novel by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons, and "Love Yourself Like Your Life Depends On It" by Kamal Ravikant.

This Time Last Year ; Nostalgia of Iqbal Road

At this time of the year i'm missing Iqbal road. Since the days are shortened we'd be coming back from school during the golden hour. We'd just keep on walking from Iqbal road to Tajmahal road without really intending to. Sunlight would be scattered around the streets with the sun coming down and aligning perfectly in the middle of Tajmahal road. We would stop at Ring road almost everyday to eat ১০ টাকার চিতই পিঠা with as much ভর্তা as our heart desired. Tanisha still talks about the চিংড়ি ভর্তা to this day. We also ate পানি পুরি on many days even though that isn’t a winter special. But to us it was.

Even though our school classes ended somewhere along that timeline we couldn’t leave Iqbal road properly because of the one and only- Udvash. Sure, memories are priceless but we did pay six thousand taka for the memories of winter 22/23. We'd leave out two whole CQs or 20 marks worth of essays and we'd অপু দশ বিশ the MCQs. We'd come out of the building and beeline for the tea stall next road. I'd always be the first to finish the 'piping hot' tea. It was also an excuse to just scan through the books at Kamal Library without buying anything.

Dhanmondi lake, Basketball match at Joseph's, trying out the whole menu of Shumi's hot cake were all disguised as 'Model Test'. Of course i'm leaving out the part where our parents got the smses from Udvash. We all know what happened after that.

I don't miss my school, nor do i miss the neighbourhood i lived in for four years. But looking back at this time last year, the only thing that stayed with me is the warm hug from Iqbal road that healed a huge part of me.

As for his similarity to Jonah, it is his return from occultation as a youth after being of old age.

As for his similarity to Joseph the son of Jacob, it is occultation from his special and common ( associates ), his disappearance from his brothers, and his father Jacob's confusion regarding his status despite the close proximity between him and his father, his family, and his followers.

As for his similarity to Moses, it is the continuity of his fear, the length of his occultation, the secrecy of his birth, and the weariness of his followers from the pains and disregard they saw after him, until Allah allowed him to appear. He then supported him, and He reinforced him over his enemies.

As for his similarity to Jesus, it is the schisms of the disputers about him until one sect from them said, “he was not born”, another sect said, “he is dead”, and another sect said, “he was killed and crucified”.

As for his similarity to our grandfather, the Chosen One, it is his appearance with the sword, the fighting of the enemies of Allah, the enemies of His Messenger, the arrogant, and the tyrants; and that he will succeed through the sword and fright. No standard of his will return in defeat."
