i shipped johnlock once upon a time, and some of the fics that i remember being really good are:

A Chemical Defect Found (On the Losing Side Remix) by AreteArt

A remix of missselene's "On the Losing Side." After Mary's death, John moves back into Baker Street. He and Sherlock stumble into a relationship, or something of that sort. Sherlock's rather giving when it comes to sex, but that doesn't mean he and John ever talk about it.

On any given day, Sherlock might come out of the bathroom smelling like an Alpha on the hunt (Alpha #8) or an Omega in heat (Omega #9), a Beta brooding (Beta #3), or like no gender at all. The last one was his actual scent, which wasn't so much scentless as confusing. At least in an adult. If Sherlock and John were the sort of people to read Mills and Boon novels, they could have said that what occurred was because destiny intervened and set two destined lovers in their one true pairings' path. It was the lasagna.

Ah yes, the old trunk scene. If Ben hadn't been comfortable doing it, he wouldn't have done it. It wasn't a dig at him, it wasn't done to traumatized him, it was a plot device. And then there's Mstoxictea rant on the subject:

I wonder if she's read the books. Because Sherlock is far from being a sympathetic character. He's cold, aloof and calculated. Exactly like he's in the show. In fact, a lot of what Mstoxictea is complaining about is straight from the original stories. I very much ACD had Ben in mind when he wrote his stories over a hundred years ago.

And then there's the queer bating accusation. Everyone involved in the show spent 10 years telling people that Johnlock wasn't endgame. That Sherlock and Watson are just good friends. If Mstoxictea and the rest of the extreme Johnlockers had listened, they wouldn't have gotten their hopes up for nothing. You can clearly see that Mstoxictea is still pissed that both her ships didn't happen. By that I mean Johlock and Freebatch.

Ok so idk many canon aro characters (which is sad there needs to be more and i am finding more but alas we have not met yet) but i do know some!! as for headcanoning, honestly i need to headcanon more characters as aro lol. disclaimer,, i went around looking at other peoples headcanons and agreed with them and now i share them with you :)) but also like for these characters i just have vibes and no explanation, solely going off what headcanons i saw that made me go “oooh yes” with no solid reasoning

Yelena Belova from the Marvel Comics: is canonically aroace afaik so go her, she’s fantastic

Georgia Warr from Loveless (Alice Oseman): is aroace!! 😭😭 her story devastated me in its relatability but it’s fantastic and i love her

Gwen from An Accident of Stars (Foz Meadows): an alloaro in a polyamorous relationship and has a kid. It’s canonically mentioned offhandedly but it’s NOT Her Entire Personality™️ !! Plus she’s a kickass character (And the whole book is filled with polyamory!!) i love Gwen, she’s a really cool character

Listen the Johlock girlies were right the show should have been an ARG. If I ever become a prolific producer enough writer I’m gonna write a series of modern Sherlock Holmes stories but there is an actual ARG. That literally sounds like the most fun ever . I’m sure someone has already done it but I think I could prob make it gay (gayer) . I’ve literally had such a good idea for a modern day Sherlock series. One day . At least when I have enough time to invest in it

Fandom: Sherlock

John was asleep on his feet. He had been half in and out of the dreamy ether for the past day, the case having taken three with no form of rest. But now, as they sat side by side in the back of a cab, John was truly asleep, and yet endearingly awake.

“That was brilliant,” John says, blinks slow, smile loose.

“What was?” Sherlock asks, because he's a bad bad man who can't help himself.

“Oh, you know,” John waves a lazy hand about, “The lot of it. ‘S’marvelous.”

“Mmm,” Sherlock hums in agreement, amused smile playing on his face, “My favorite part was the cat.”

“Yes, the cat,” John agrees to the nonsense.

“And the monkey.”

“Oh, yes, great chap, that monkey,” John yawns wide showing off his back molars, “Great chap.”

Sherlock snorts through his desperate tries to hold it in.

“Eh?” John asks, looking groggily over at Sherlock.

“Nothing…" and then because he absolutely can't help it, “Was just remembering the elephant.”

“Oh yes, can't forget. Lovely,” another yawn, “Lovely shoes.”

Sherlock can't help it, he lets out a trill of giggles, unable to stop it and unwilling to hide.

“Something, uh, um,” John squints his eyes as he thinks, they widen as he remembers the word, “Funny? Was it?”

“Nothing, darling,” Sherlock soothes his partner, hand patting on top of John's cold one. So cold Sherlock decides to wrap both of his gloved ones around it, warm it up a bit.

“Mmm,” John hums happily, laying his head back against the seat, “Love when you call me that.”

That was news to Sherlock.

“Do you? I was under the impression you hated pet names.”

“No,” John laughs, “That's you! Remember, silly?”

Sherlock smiles fondly at John's closed eyes and wide grin, “I think we may have both made an error of judgment on this particular subject.”

“Oh, alright,” John sighs happily, “Darling.”

Sherlock feels himself blush. Deeply.

“Perhaps… perhaps only in private,” Sherlock eyes the cabbie who'd been steadfastly ignoring them since they entered. Couldn't have the whole world know Sherlock melted at a single word, now could they?

“Whatever you want, darling,” John, obviously having forgotten they were in a cab, maneuvers his head to lay on Sherlock's shoulder.

Sherlock freezes underneath him, PDA being another subject they'd yet to broach in their seemingly fragile and very new relationship.

The cabbie looks into the rearview, eyeing the pair of them up.

Sherlock feels a sudden streak of boldness, meeting the cabbie's eyes as he lays a kiss on the crown of John's head.

“Forget what I said. Call me whatever you like, whenever you like.”

“Okay, snookums,” Johns says, nuzzling into Sherlock's shoulder.

….

“Well, maybe not that.”

Snoring is all Sherlock get's in reply.

Just as well.

Sherlock lays his head against John's and dozes himself until they reach Baker Street, where he will force his tired soldier to his feet, and then usher him off to bed, where they can snuggle truly and properly, and away from prying eyes.

Nice of Gatorshit to denounce the threats, but highly hypocritical given how she treats Sophie. Her whole "Sophie is dead/dying" narrative is pretty much a death threat.
