to say he was irritated when he saw the headlines from the tabloids was an understatement, he is beyond livid. but the comments just made everything worse.

user_1: wow aren't they married for years already? maybe his wife can't conceive any babies? LOL

user_2: must be, or maybe nanami's just realized his wife is just using him for his actor money

user_3: the wife doesn't know to make a sandwich i fear

user_4: maybe he got tired of his wife's ugly face, no wonder he hides it from the internet hahaha

kento doesn't give a fuck if people were dragging his name left and right but god forbid it involves you, his loving wife who has been nothing but utterly supportive of his career. for someone who stuck by his side for years, it angers him that people immediately assume that you were the problem. he knows the news isn't true, he literally just cuddled with you last night, so to say that you were getting a divorce almost makes him laugh if it weren't how stupid this situation is.

when his manager informed him about the situation, he immediately cancelled every schedule that he has for today, he will call the lawyers to settle this later but for now, his main focus is you.

you are someone who is used to the privacy of your own space which is why you opted to keep your face off his socials and remain anonymous to the eyes of his fans. kento hates it that your peace is getting disturbed due to his stardom, so he is willing to drop everything just to go home to you and comfort you. no one knows who you really are but the way it made people talk like they do, makes him angry. no way his wife is going to be disrespected like this.

the moment kento opens the door the your shared home, he's panting, sweat evident in his forehead and worry present in his eyes as he looks at you across the living room, sitting on the couch with your phone in your hands.

"shit," he thought, he knows you already saw the news, and worse the comments. he can tell just by your body language. your eyes sunken in sadness and your lips form a frown. he doesn't see it but he knows your heart is breaking too.

"honey," kento breathes out as he walks towards you. he knows you heard him, but you stay in your position, disbelief flooding your senses. suddenly, you came back to reality when you feel kento's warm embrace, his large and quick hands getting rid of your phone before placing it on your head and immediately feeling his chest against your head.

his breathing his ragged, unstable deep breaths as he tells you, "it's gonna be okay," and a thousand apologies to go with it. you nod instead, finding yourself difficult to talk. you opt to rub onto his arm, a silent reply to his comforting and kento seems to understand your gesture. he then kisses the crown of your head as he pulls you tighter in his embrace.

"am i holding you back, kento?" you asked, your voice quite muffled as you speak through his button down blouse.

"oh god, darling you will never hold me back, if anything, you keep me moving. don't listen to them, alright? i'm happy and contented to where we are right now, don't worry about it." he lets go of the embrace and cups your face with both of his hands. he looks at you with loving eyes as he brushes your lower lip with his thumb. you close your eyes as he leaned closer, then you finally felt his lips against yours. he gives a peck, another, and then a third one before he crashes his lips onto you for the last time as he takes his time to explore your mouth.

kento knows a lot of ways to apologize, and this is one of them. he is gentle, but his love is loud as he allows his tongue clash against yours, the wet squelch filling up the room as he allows himself to be drunk with your lips.

when kento lets go, his breathing is heavy but satisfied. "i'll take care of everything from then on, okay?" he says as he caresses your face and a smile creeps to his face when you lean towards his touch with a nod. "will you be releasing a statement?" you ask.

"yeah, i'll contact our lawyer about it and then we'll see what we can do." his answer earned a curt nod from you. kento noticed pursed your lips, obviously thinking about something.

"are you still bothered by the comments?"

"no, i mean, i'm a bit upset about how people were talking about me online but i'm just curious as to where all this came from."

"hmm, yeah, we'll take care of that too, for now, just rest your pretty mind and always remember that i will never leave you. that okay?" his gentle voice makes your heart feel full, and that's you know that your husband will always be at your beck and call. "yeah." you answered as you give his lips a quick peck, "i love you," you added.

"i love you too."

not a even a day later, the JJK LABEL had released a statement and an article regarding the fake news that had surfaced.

Nanami Kento Slams Fake Divorce Article: "Don't project your problems in your love life through me and my wife."

"the article itself and the comments are horrible and people are stupid enough to believe something that came from a tabloid known to release fake news. maybe this just tells about how gullible and stupid people are for believing groundless rumors and not my relationship." the artist stated.

"to everyone involved in the release of this article, we will see you on court and i hope you have any evidence about your claim. to the people who threw disgusting comments about my wife, please worry how alone you are instead of snooping around our relationship." he adds.

that day, kento's fanbase rejoice as the tabloids finally got their karma when it was reported that their company was finally shut down.

FUSHIGURO TOJI:

it was a normal day in the fushiguro household until megumi bursts in through the door with a loud and resounding—

"dad, what the fuck?"

"megumi, language, please!" you warned him.

your word goes through megumi's ears and went to his dad who is currently lounging in the living room reading his script. he paid his son's words no mind and gave him a raised eyebrow, urging him to continue.

"your name is all over tabloids because of a forum post. look," megumi says as he faces his phone screen to toji's face. to say that he's horrified to what he just saw is an understatement. so, with a worry mind, you go behind toji's lounging chair and read what's on the screen.

Acting Veteran 'T' Caught in An Affair!

At the night of Tuesday, Actor 'T' is caught leaving a hotel with a seemingly younger woman clinging on his arms. The two are being lovey-dovey in their Shibuya rendezvous. Actor 'T' is currently married with a child which makes everything even more scandalous. What would actor 'T'’s wife and child think about this? Seems like the man really took a liking towards sneaking away with younger women.

"what the fuck?" both you and toji's voice were erupting in the whole room. out of shock? anger? rage? megumi is not sure but there is one thing he's sure of, both of you are being scary right now and the red in both of you and husband's eyes are almost showing due to the high range of emotions you were both feeling right now.

despite knowing that toji is utterly in love with you and he was actually with you that day, it scares him that his father is facing this kind of scandal. people are horrible out there trying to ruin his father's career that he worked hard on and this is the proof.

toji might be used to having false rumors spread about him all over the years he is in the acting industry, but what he can't take is people talking shit about his wife and thinking less about her. the comments that he just read just woke up the rage inside of him.

"mom?" megumi had called you since it's been minutes when you had gone quiet. the sight before him broke his heart.

your eyes are trying not to let your tears fall, but the comments are too hurtful to ignore, too cruel to set aside. even though you know that it's covered with a codename (barely), you exactly know it's your husband that they are talking about. you're hurt about the comments but you're most scared of your husband's career coming to a screeching halt.

you suddenly feel your husband hug you so tight and you let it all out. his shirt might get damped but toji doesn't care, comforting his wife comes first. he then tells megumi, "call our lawyer, tell him what we just saw, they'll know what to do," megumi frantically nods and gets out of the house to do what toji had said.

"come on, ma, let's go and get some rest." toji had urged you to go with him.

"pa, this is so ridiculous, i know you know how to deal with these but this is just too much, they're targeting our family now." the sadness in your voice and the tears that flow through face break toji's heart. you don't deserve this. these assholes needed to be taught a lesson, and he knows he won't be nice about it. "i'll take care of this, 'kay? i love you and megs so much, angel."

toji's voice somehow calmed your senses and you let yourself cry in his arms until you're left with no tears. "i'm sorry, i'm too old to cry like this." you said as you try to wipe the remnants of your tears from your face.

"no one's too old to cry, darling," toji coos, glad that you're finally able to calm down, and caresses the back of your head. then, a sly smirk forms on his lips, "you know what else we're not too old for?"

genuinely curious, you look up to him, "what?" you asked.

toji leaned down and whispered, "another child, think we can give megumi a sibling?" and gave you a mischievous look.

"toji!" you exclaimed as you smack his chest, flustered of his words.

"gross, get a room, and is now really the time for this?" you suddenly let go of yourself from toji's grasp the moment you heard megumi back in the living room. toji chuckled, "i got it all covered, both of you rest up and i will deal with all of this." toji walked towards where megumi is standing and gives his head a gentle pat, "no one's gonna ruin us, alright?"

the conviction in toji's voice made it clear to both of you and megumi that he already has a plan in mind, and you trust him enough to believe him. he has never let the both of you down, after all.

the next day, news break out the the person who posted the rumor on the online forum is caught with other criminal charges aside from the defamation he just attempted to do. the horrible comments also seem to magically disappear.

Fushiguro Toji Busts Down Anonymous User, Other Criminal Charges Involved

"I hope this serves as a lesson to everyone else. I'm not backing down until everyone gets what they deserve for ruining the names of the people I care about. I will not let go until every single horrible person who rises their tongue against my family is punished." Toji stated.

"Be careful what you read and comment online, please don't forget that the people you talk about are not just subjects, but real human beings." The veteran actor added.

the fake news spreader should have really known not to deal with a veteran who is powerful enough to protect the people he cherishes.

“Who did you kiss at midnight?”

“I kissed my wife,” Toji shrugged. “I wasn’t at the New Year’s party, I was at home.”

“Oh, there was a party?”

“How do you think everyone ended up knowing everyone else’s business?” he snorted. “Especially Megumi’s. That poor kid…”

“Everyone keeps mentioning Megumi’s kiss! Do you know who it was?”

“Oh, no, it’s not something I’d ask,” Toji backtracked. “Like I say, I was at home with my wife. I’m really too old to be on this set, I’m probably the oldest by like ten years.”

“Really? How old is Mr Gojo?”

“God, I don’t know. He isn’t thirty yet.”

“And no-one except you is married, is that right?”

“I’ve never asked, but I don’t think anyone else wears a wedding ring,” Toji agreed. “Makes New Year’s all the more fun, eh?”

“I was under the table eating grapes,” Nobara confessed. “And to be honest, I don’t think it’s worked. I’m still as single as ever, a whole week in.”

“Do you think that’ll change?” the interviewer asked. Nobara laughed.

“Listen, if people don’t want all this-“ she gestured to herself – “then what can we do? They’ll just have to suffer their lonely, empty lives. I’m not suffering, I already have myself.”

“So it’s just a bit of fun?”

“Yeah, I don’t really take these superstitions seriously-“

“-And that’s why she was genuinely distraught that it didn’t work,” Megumi interrupted, handing Nobara a scrunchie.

“Distraught?! I wasn’t distraught!”

“Tie your hair up, you’ve got a fake wound to put on. And yes you were, you were clinging to poor Satoru for dear life. His Versace shirt got wet, and he had to throw it away.”

“Why did he throw away a perfectly good shirt just because it was wet?” Nobara asked, distracted.

“He’s just like that. Are you gonna tie your hair up? We have places to be.”

“But I was talking to the interview lady!”

“No, no, it’s alright,” the interviewer assured them. “I’ll catch up with you later.”

“Hmph.” Nobara dragged as much hair as she could into a ponytail at the base of her skull, and then grabbed Megumi’s arm. “Let’s go then. You’ve probably got fake blood to be dripped on you. You’ve always got fake blood to be dripped on you.”

“What’s this obsession with kissing people? I think I was with Yu at midnight,” Nanami said, looking thoughtful.

“As in, Yu Haibara?” the interviewer clarified.

“Yeah. I guess it’s confusing, having both Yuji and Yu on set at the same time. And Yuta’s meant to be here soon… Anyway, I’m pretty sure we were watching the countdown – he was talking about otters, I think…?”

“I kissed my beautiful girlfriend,” Shoko smiled. “It’s going to be a good year this year!”

“It’s a secret,” Gojo winked.

“Does that mean you didn’t kiss anyone?” asked the interviewer cheekily.

Gojo laughed. “You can think whatever you want, honey. I just know I’m not ready to tell the world who I kissed.”

“I kissed Miwa!” Kokichi grinned, arm slung around his girlfriend.

She giggled. “Here’s to another year!”

“Why, are you volunteering?” Toge asked, eyebrow raised.

The interviewer gawped. “What?”

Toge cackled.

“He’s kidding,” Yuta sighed. “I think.”

“I’m kidding,” Toge agreed, wiping a tear from his eye. “I am completely single and not looking to change that, thank you so much.”

“So you didn’t kiss anyone at midnight?” the interviewer checked.

“Not a soul. Would’ve smudged my face paint,” Toge confirmed. “I don’t think many people kissed, but Nobara was definitely eating grapes under the table, so maybe that’ll be different next year.”

“Kokichi did,” Yuta mused.

“He literally has a whole girlfriend, of course he did.”

“Megumi did.”

“Megumi di- MEGUMI DID?!” Toge turned to look Yuta full in the face, horrified. “WHO DID HE KISS?”

“If he hasn’t told you, that means he didn’t want to know,” Yuta shrugged, looking slightly embarrassed. “I probably shouldn’t have told you.”

“If I find out he’s been hiding this on purpose, the little shit-“

“Please mind your language on camera,” the interviewer chided gently.

“My bad. I’m just gonna- gonna go see Megumi for a minute.” Toge swivelled his head around the room, eyeing everyone beadily.

“He’s in the break room,” Yuta said helpfully, and then realised what he’d said. “Whoops.”

“Thanks, Yuta. I knew I could count on you.” With a pat to Yuta’s shoulder, Toge stalked off, looking furious.

Yuta turned back to the camera. “They grew up together,” he explained.

“Did you kiss anyone at midnight, Mr Okkotsu?” the interviewer enquired, clearly desperate to get the interview back on track.

“Who, me?” Yuta rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly. “Uh…”

“He actually turned down a kiss, can you believe it?!” another voice called, off camera. The camera turned to reveal Maki, still in costume, huge spear over her shoulder. “Oh, not from me,” she added, probably spotting a look on the interviewer’s face. “From one of the costume girls. She was really cute, too…”

“You’re not getting many juicy stories, are you?” Yuta asked sympathetically. “Hmm, who would have a good story…?”

“Where’s Toge? He’d know,” Maki pointed out.

“Just gone to hunt out Megumi.”

“About New Year’s?”

“Yeah.”

“Which idiot told him?!”

“That would be me…” Yuta’s ears turned red at the tips. “In my defence, I thought Megumi would’ve told him!”

“So the good story is Megumi’s, then?” the interviewer asked.

Yuta and Maki looked at each other. “Try someone else first,” Yuta hedged. “Oh look, there’s Toji!”

“I kissed my wife,” Toji shrugged. “I wasn’t at the New Year’s party, I was at home.”

“Oh, there was a party?”

He laughed nervously. “That’s true enough. Someone else might have a better story. I don’t know who’s on set today? It’s definitely Yuta’s day, but his story is boring – did you know he turned down five offers and spent the countdown trying to catch olives in his mouth that Toge was throwing? I don’t know if-“

“You’re rambling,” said Nobara, from her spot on the floor behind. “And it was the other way around. Toge was catching the olives.”

“Oh, of course. Yuta doesn’t even like olives. Anyway-“

“I think Geto’s next door,” Nobara offered. “He definitely kissed someone at midnight.”

“Oh, I did kiss someone, I’m just not saying who,” Geto laughed. “It was someone famous.”

“One of your cast mates?”

“Mhm. Really, though, there’s loads of them, so that’s not any more information than you started with.”

“Can you give us a clue?”

“Absolutely not. They’d sue me.”

“You’re quite open about your sexuality; was it a man?”

“Absolutely it was a man! But again, there’s only one or two women in this cast, so that doesn’t really help much.”

“You should probably bear in mind we’re asking everyone on set today who they kissed at midnight.”

“And if he’s not on set today?”

“Well, there is that…”

“I wouldn’t really mind if you did find out, I’m not quite on that level of fame yet. It wouldn’t affect me much, since I’m not an idol anymore. It might kill him, though – not his career! He just might die of embarrassment.”

“In that case, we’ll leave you! I’m sure the fans will find out sooner or later.”

“They do have some scary powers,” Geto agreed. “Why don’t you find Megumi? He kissed someone, I think.”

Eventually, the cameras found Megumi and Yuji whispering in a corner together. When the interviewer waved at them, Yuji’s eyes widened like a deer in the headlights. He started whispering furiously to Megumi; the interviewer respectfully kept the microphone away until they’d finished.

“Mr Itadori has already answered this question,” she began.

“Oh, I heard,” Megumi nodded. Yuji winced.

“Oh, um – is this a bad time, then?” the interviewer hesistated.

“No, no, it’s okay,” Megumi shrugged. “I think we’ve come to our conclusion.”

“Wonderful!” the interviewer smiled, clearly extremely confused. “In that case, who did you kiss at midnight, Mr Fushiguro? Did you kiss anyone at all?”

“I did kiss someone. I kissed Yuji.”

Silence.

“Okay, I know I said you could say it, but that sounded really awkward-“

“Shut up, Yuji, I think she’s gone into shock.” Megumi put his hands on the interviewer’s shoulders, trying to get a sense of her breathing rate without getting too close.

“Oh my god. Try to reassure her while I find a first aid person,” Yuji said, before thinking better of it. “Wait, no. I’ll reassure her, you find a first aid person.”

Megumi rolled his eyes, but speed-walked off to find someone to help. Meanwhile, Yuji calmly reassured the interviewer that everything was fine, nothing had gone wrong, everything would be okay.

Neither of them were entirely sure why exactly she was so shocked.

“-So basically, she expected me to say Mai or something,” Megumi shrugged. “I think. I don’t think anyone’s really sure, but it was the surprise that got her. She’s not homophobic or anything.”

Next to him, the interviewer smiled. “Absolutely not! I think it’s lovely that you two have gotten so close over your time on set. I hope we see more moments in season two!”

Yuji thought about this. “I mean, I guess there is? Mainly, season two is-“

“THAT’S WHERE YOU ARE!” someone yelled. There was a loud crash, and the door burst open; Toge, hair released from its gel-inflicted helmet, face paint smudged into a blue beard, careened into the room and skidded to a stop just behind Megumi. “WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL ME YOU’D KISSED-“

“I’m kind of in the middle of something,” Megumi pointed out. “Can you leave?”

“I’M SO BETRAYED RIGHT NOW,” Toge continued, steamrolling right over Megumi. “AND YOU KISSED YUJI? TALL-WOMAN-WITH-A-BIG-ASS YUJI??”

“Megumi’s tall! Ish,” Yuji defended, making Toge jump.

“My bad, bro,” he said. “I didn’t realise you were here.”

“Clearly,” Megumi huffed.

“Does Satoru know about this?”

“…No….”

“You told the internet before you told Satoru??”

“We were gonna tell him before this came out!”

“Oh my god, he is gonna kill you,” Toge said gleefully.

“Who’s gonna kill who?” someone else asked. A mop of white hair peeked round the door. “Are we still doing interviews right now?”

“Uh oh,” said Yuji.

“Uh oh,” Toge agreed, grinning madly.

Megumi stared at the sunglasses slowly making their way around the doorframe. “I’m gonna have to tell him now, aren’t I.”

“Yes.”

“Tell me what?” asked Gojo, stepping fully into the room. “It can’t be that bad. Like, what ridiculous thing could you possibly tell me?”

“Maybe that he kissed Yuji?!” Toge interrupted before Megumi could even open his mouth.

“Thanks, man,” Megumi said sarcastically.

“Is that true?” Gojo asked, still calm.

“…Yes.”

There was a long pause.

Gojo opened his mouth, then closed it again. He stared closely at Megumi, who stared back. Then he stared closely at Yuji, who looked more and more terrified by the minute.

Eventually, Gojo decided to break the tense silence.

“If you get pregnant, I’m not financing it.”

“WHAT?!”

Sukuna’s eyes widened, muttering in shock. His confident smirk dropped the moment Gojo Satoru walked into the room, seeing the cocky smile on the white-haired man’s face, his sky-blue eyes hidden beneath his rectangular dark blue glasses. However, the sight of Gojo didn’t catch him off guard. The sight of the black-haired woman with striking lilac eyes left him speechless.

Himiko Nakamura. The memory of her just sends a shiver down his spine, and he can feel her fierce gaze through the crowd. No matter where she went, an overpowering presence followed, even in a celebratory award-afterparty such as this. She made her name as an actress at an early age – and it was one of the things that drew him in.

Sukuna couldn’t help but plaster his pompous smirk back on his face, but the little twitch in his was evident when he spotted Gojo’s arm around her shoulder. He hated that Gojo could hold her so freely, so casually. He hated every second of it, he hated the way he smiled at her, he hated the way she gave him the smallest of smiles back. He hated the way she didn’t shove him off when he neared her, and most of all – he hated that it wasn’t him holding her in that way.

His red eyes followed Gojo with a burning stare, watching the way the white-haired man had his arm slung so casually around Himiko. He waited patiently, taking another sip of his wine as he swirled it around in the glass.

A minute or two passes before Himiko finally pulls herself away from Gojo’s arms, and Sukuna smiles to himself with a soft ‘Finally!’ as he exhales. He sees her walk further away from the popular white-haired actor and towards the row of tables filled with drinks and snacks, and his feet take him closer to her.

He takes a step closer to her, one foot in front of the other and he feels his heart pumping harder in his chest. He adjusted his scarlet suit jacket, smoothing his pink hair down with his other hand, and he couldn’t help but admire the way the dark violet dress she wore complimented her figure, the shimmer of the fabric and glitter with every little move she made.

Sukuna cleared his throat, his mind running wild with all the ways he could greet her, but none of them came up as he saw her bright lilac eyes stare into his crimson ones, and his heart stopped. She was just as beautiful as the day she left him, yet her cold gaze brought him back to reality.

“Sukuna,” Her voice called out, and the bitter way she said his name had him rolling his shoulders back.

Her tone was an ice dagger to his heart, her disdain for him evident just by how she held herself. She stood proud and tall – like the walls she had built for herself when she was with him.

“Himiko,” His smile grew, and he eyed her up and down. “Aren’t you a sight for sore eyes?”

Her sneer deepens, eyes narrowing as she speaks in that icy tone of hers, “As if you’d miss me.”

Sukuna’s eyes soften the slightest, but it flickers back to his cocky demeanour. He sees it in her eyes from how she tilts her head – she knows. Neither of them said a word about it, the pink-haired man glancing at his wine glass with an amused smile.

“You’re sharp as ever, darling.”

“I’m not your darling,” She mumbles, “Not anymore. I think we both know that.”

He lets out a bittersweet smile, red eyes locking onto her lilac ones, “A man can dream, can’t he?”

“He certainly can, but it doesn’t mean that it’s reality.”

“But he can try until it is.”

She gives him a look, her hold on her glass tightening, “Sukuna, don’t.”

“I’m not saying anything specific,” He rolled his eyes, but his tone was uncharacteristically soft. “But… but what if I were to try again?”

Himiko’s back straightens, “I assumed so since you did hint at it, but you know why I left, Sukuna.”

“I do. But I can change, you know that Himiko.”

“Do I?” Her eyes narrowed. “Sukuna, I left you because you were so, so manipulative, you did anything to make me stay with you. I couldn’t take it, and you knew it, so forgive me if I don’t believe a single word you say.”

Sukuna opened his mouth to say something else, but a hand on his shoulder halted him, his red eyes met sky-blue ones, and the dreaded Gojo Satoru smiled over at Sukuna with a lighthearted grin.

“Hey Sukuna, long time no see!” His grin was too wide for Sukuna’s liking. “I see you you’ve met my sweetheart.”

This irks Sukuna to no end, a smile of disbelief growing on the tattooed man’s face, “You’re her sweetheart? Himiko, he’s going to ditch you for someone else by the end of the week.”

“Nonsense!” Gojo grins widely, pulling Himiko to his side. “Miko, has he been bothering you with his bad jokes?”

“...Yeah, definitely,” Himiko mutters, leaning into Satoru’s touch. “Let’s get out of here. I’ve had enough partying for tonight.”

Sukuna could see it in her eyes, the way she avoided his gaze now. Her posture remained upright, but everything in her body language was enough to tell him she was giving him the cold shoulder. He narrowed his eyes, ignoring the way his stomach tied into knots.

“It was nice to see you around, Sukuna,” Gojo grins, but it holds a dangerous glint. “But hey, it was fantastic seeing you again.”

Sukuna rolled his eyes red eyes with a grumble, but he fell silent as Himiko eyed him as she passed, Gojo’s arm a bitter reminder that she’s not his – and he doesn’t have a chance at redemption; not like deserved one anyway.

As she passes, the speakers blare a song, almost as if fate was mocking him, heck he barely stood a chance the moment Gojo Satoru walked in with his arm around Himiko’s shoulders. Kali Uchis’ voice rings through the venue, the upbeat tempo a sickening reminder of his failures.

‘Why can’t you see you’re dead to me? Just leave it be, you’re dead to me.’

Public Shock as Megumi Fushiguro Refuses to do Promotional Video

The Jujutsu Kaisen star says he “doesn’t understand” why he was “suddenly grouped differently” for the interviews

The entertainment world was shaken on Monday when the Jujutsu Kaisen official twitter account announced that they were cancelling their planned promotional interviews due to “lack of participation” on the actors’ parts. While fans were outraged and demanded to know what happened, Megumi Fushiguro took a leap, stepped out, and took the blame.

“Stop sending hate mail to the cast,” he tweeted. “I chose not to be part of the interviews, and my friends stood with me. There were some problems, but we’re working through them.”

The star went on to explain via replies that he felt the groupings for the interviews were problematic, and that there was a simple solution that he’d like the promotions team to employ.

In an interview with Electric Magazine, he said, “I don’t understand why I was suddenly grouped differently. For every other interview I did, specifically those for season one, I was grouped with characters and actors I was connected with – Yuji, Nobara, Satoru, whoever. Season two has brought in a few minor characters, including my character’s biological dad… I just don’t think my character should be grouped with his biological dad over his friends.

“Promotions thought it was a good idea to group our characters together because in the show, we’re related. But it doesn’t work like that. My character hates his dad, why are they putting us in an interview together?”

Fushiguro also specified that he meant no hate towards Toji, the man who plays his character’s father in the show, but he thought it made little sense for their characters to be in the same interview.

Other cast members also stepped in with messages of support for Fushiguro, including co-star Yuji Itadori and adoptive father Satoru Gojo.

“Biological relations mean nothing when someone has been abandoned. This may seem overdramatic to some, but these interview groupings are an insult to adoptive, found, and loving family,” the famous actor wrote.

“No-one should have to bring up their personal life in public to have their voice heard. Everyone who has a brain would know these groupings are completely wrong. Stay strong Megumi, you’re doing the right thing,” Shoko Ieri replied to the emotive post.

“good for you megumi. stand up to those ignorant idiots,” Nobara Kugisaki tweeted, complete with a picture of her and Fushiguro together.

“Megumi’s character already has a dad. Biological does not mean family. Things will never be right until the producers understand this,” wrote Itadori.

“I will not being doing the interview until Megumi can do his,” was Kento Nanami’s bold stance.

Amongst a split and conflicted fanbase, the official twitter simply tweeted, “We did not realise our actors would feel strongly about their interview groups and we had no intention to offend. The groups will be fixed ASAP and hopefully the interviews will go ahead.”

Many viewers felt this was an unfeeling response to Fushiguro’s genuine problem, with one even replying, “This just proves that the industry doesn’t care. It’s not about whether the interviews can go ahead, it’s about why it was deemed appropriate to group Megumi with a minor, unrelated character in the first place.”

Outcry against the producers and promotions teams seemed endless, with #jjkpromo and #staystrongmegumi trending for weeks across all platforms. Most felt that it had been a stupid decision from the start, since Megumi was a main character and should therefore be with the other main characters regardless of who he was related to. Others felt that extra sensitivity was needed due to Fushiguro’s own background, which was clearly the root of his ‘interview strike’.

“Yeah, I’m adopted,” he told Electric Magazine. “And yeah, that’s probably why I care so much. But the point stands. This character is unrelated to mine; this character is a minor, abusive father who my character despises. It’s not okay to normalise healing those relationships or still associating these people together.

“If I was someone who was abandoned by an abusive father – and I’m not, but many people are – how would I feel to know that the media still considers us family? How would I feel knowing that society prioritises that biological relationship over the connections I’d built with my friends?

“I guess this could be seen as overdramatic. It’s just an interview. I know. But it represents so much more; it’s a signal flare from the media and I’m not willing to let it go past me.”

Eventually, even Toji stepped forward, tweeting, “I’ve been quiet because I don’t know what to say, but I see I need to say something. Megumi is right to protest this grouping. I thought it was odd that we were put together as we don’t even share any scenes, but I see know it could have become weaponised. #istandwithmegumi.”

Seacoast

The festive noise from the gazebo, a few feet away from the seashore filled the private resort rented out to shoot the ending of the film you're starring in with your friend Sukuna. You find the nearest beach lounge available and sit down to catch your breath after a day of hectic work and a noisy celebration dinner.

Waves rhythmically drench the sand and withdraw back to the sea creating the lulling melody, soothing your ears with the mesmerizing hue of pale blue and coral skies announcing nightfall. You stood up and followed the shoreline, going farther away from the celebration. Surely they would understand that you are beyond exhausted and need some time for yourself too.

Not far from here, you could see the private villa rented solely for you. It's been a while since you get to have this silent time for yourself and walk out freely without the worry of press people coming up or chasing after you.

If only Satoru is here too... He's busy shooting his upcoming action movie with Suguru. Your mind wandered to him and the sudden announcement of his retirement. This is his last film and he deserves to have as much time as he wants to produce it.

It's hard and rare to land a role together since the both of you come from different entertainment companies. The last time you starred in an action romance movie with him, it was marked as one of the highest-grossing films in the country. Guess, that will also be the last time you'll do a project with him.

You shake off the sand from your sandals and fish out your card key but your hands froze when you notice the lights are on. Distinctly remembering that you closed it before leaving, the pressing fear that someone must've broken into your villa harboring ill intentions, your first instinct is to run back to the gazebo but it was too late.

The door opened and a tall dark shadow loomed above you.

"Are you trying to scare me to death?!" You hissed and clutch your chest. Glaring at the clueless Satoru, he tucks away his eyeglasses, clears his throat, and scratches his head apologetically but it didn't last long when you recognize the naughty glint on his eyes.

"Your PA let me inside and told me to wait here." He grinned and held his phone up. "Sukuna sent me a photo of you sitting on the sand alone, were you lonely Baby?" He cooed and held your hand, tugging you to the seashore.

"Wait what are you doing? Satoru?" Your toes crinkled against the sand invading your sandals but Satoru shrugged and took off his Islanders then motioned for your feet.

"Are you wearing a bikini underneath?" He kneels and tugs the straps of your sandals.

"W-what?!"

Satoru holds your hand and places it above his shoulder while he lifts your knee and removes the slippers off your feet, then does the same to the other. You stood there confused but lets him get you barefooted anyway.

"No one's here and we haven't got a decent date for months." He hums and reaches for the hem of his shirt, taking it off, and grins at you.

No wonder he always stars in action movies and is greatly loved, apart from Satoru's exceptional acting skills, his body says it all. Muscles in the right place, the ones that were naturally earned from hard and manual labor instead of those from the gym. Satoru and his little obsession with making tree houses for his niece and nephew are paying well with how glorious his pectoral muscles and sic-packs are formed.

Fuck!

And that Adonis belt that make smart girls go stupid... You slap your face earning a confused look from your beau, asking if are you alright?

Looking around and seeing that everyone is busy in the gazebo add that night is coloring the skies dark you tug on the front ribbon of your beach dress, drop it on the sand, and follow Satoru into the waters.

"Cold!" You waded in the water, the seawater envelopes your skin, and shivers crawl to your spine. He just laughs, holding your hand Satoru introduces you to the water until it reaches your chest.

"It's not that bad," Satoru lets you go and floats around you while you stood still, wiping off the salty water in your mouth. "Did you know I was in the villa? You came earlier than I expected."

"Nope, I was just tired and wanted to rest. I thought you were filming your movie. Why are you here?" You swim away and Satoru slowly chased after you. In the dark sea, the two of you swam like kids just near the seacoast, chasing and slipping away from each other. Satoru catches your leg and snakes an arm around your waist.

"Suguru got an urgent business and we're shooting the last scene. I can't do it alone so we got a three-day break. Then I miss my girl so much that I came running here," he pants and presses his wet forehead against yours.

You laugh and snake your arms around his neck. Noses rubbing the bridges while you two are submerged in the unsteady waters. Silence reigned until you found the courage to ask him about the thing that has been in your mind lately.

"When will you hold the press conference for your signing off?" You look into his eyes. Satoru frowned and tightened the string of your bikini top.

"A few months more, wanna come? How about we tell them we're getting married?"

The current of waves accompanied by Satoru's sudden declaration rendered you floating and jaw-dropped.

"M-married?" You stammered and Satoru nods.

Satoru move the hair framing your face and inclined his head sideways. He memorized the way your face contorts to confusion and speechlessness in between the open sea.

"I wanna grow old with you, do you want to spend your life with me?" With all sincerity he asked, gazing into your eyes, waiting and hoping to hear an affirmation to the question that has been poking him for a while now.

He's leaving the nosy entertainment industry to get serious in dealing with his family business. With him leaving the limelight he can finally pursue you without being targeted by scandals and controversies. None of you would have to put up the pretense of the rumors and no more strict clauses and contracts can stop him from openly committing himself to you.

"This is not a prank?" Your heart drummed, torn between hoping that it is true while the other heart, completely a wreck if ever he said he's just kidding.

"I'd be an asshole to joke about that." He rolled his eyes and let your waist go. "I'm not rushing, but don't take too much of your time thinking about it. I wanna marry, young and healthy." Satoru combed his hair back and winked, blowing you a flirtatious kiss to wipe off the sudden change of atmosphere.

"'Toru your hair is already white anyway, doesn't matter even if I take my time thinking about it, old man." You stuck your tongue and swim fast to shore leaving him frozen in shock.

"Old man? Who? Me?! Y/n-chan, how dare you!" He yammered and swam to catch up with you, the harsh sound of his swimming against the water urged you to swim faster and ran up the sand but Satoru chased and held your waist.

"Gotcha~"

Marriage? With Satoru?

It's not that you never thought of it, but you never dwelled on that topic either. Your schedules are often in conflict and it's hard to fathom the fickle taste of the public in your relationship. Satoru's reputation is a lackadaisical playboy while your clear and simple image often clashes with public opinion. Many are adamant and suspect Satoru is just pinning on you to be his next fling unbeknownst to them you and Satoru have been together for almost a decade, while you're both still learning and amateurs in this field. His handsome looks and role of having mistresses everywhere he goes he landed simply shaped his reputation.

But behind the curtains and incognito he's but a fluffy man with his childish antics and mischievousness combined.

Under the night sky with few lights in a distance, you folded your legs to a more comfortable position while Satoru is laying with his head on your lap and a guitar in his hand, strumming gently singing a soft song for you. You've both rinsed off and changed, then came back to the seacoast and laid a towel with some snack.

Satoru sings at ease with his eyes closed, completely relaxed at your lap and the splashing of the waves against the shore. The more you stare at his face despite the darkness, the more you notice how pale and tired he seems. Your hand reaches forward and brushes his jaws, growing stubbles little by little are showing, a sign he hasn't shaved for a while. The underside of his eyes is heavy and dark without the makeup and glasses covering them. You can understand his trend of wearing sunglasses when going out—to hide the telltales of haggardness—and mask them underneath.

Come to my table, come to my bed girl

Easing my hunger, easing my head

Bringing me fire, giving me water

Taking me high, taking me down

He opened his eyes and flash you a bright smile which you returned by holding your hair at the back of your ear, you lean down, and kiss the tips of his nose.

"Y-y/n-chan?" The tips of Satoru's ears flushed red, stuttering and plucking the wrong string.
