I love your works! I hope you thrive in the community :D Can I please request an arcane Jinx x reader where reader always greets Jinx with a "hey babygirl" with a hug and a kiss on the cheek and they say it in such a gentle and loving tone, Jinx one day gets emotional over it and it's just a lot of sweet fluff?
Let's go, you and me, until the end of time
Tumblr media
Tags: Jinx x fem! Reader, hurt/comfort, angst to fluff, word count 1253, authors note at the end
Summary: Jinx knows you love her. Despite all the shit she's done you never showed any fear or hesitance around her and kept being her rock. However, after a particularly draining episode, insecurities come back to haunt her and it's up to you to comfort your girlfriend and make sure she feels loved.
Every now and then, Jinx thought that she had to have done something right in her life for the gods to grace her with such a perfect girlfriend like you. When the two of you first met, she was pleasantly surprised by your unabashed nature and how easily you befriended her. Even as you got to know her better, witnessing both the good and bad sides of her, you never faltered, never took a step back, as if trying to leave. You held your ground, you held her, even when the voices got too loud and her mind was in such a frenzy that she could barely distinguish reality from figments, you were still there. She fully expected you to leave after you witnessed her first episode, but you just got closer and closer to her until you asked her to be your girlfriend. Despite all the doubts in her head, she knew she wished for nothing more than to be yours and for you to be hers.
You were both very touchy and affectionate, you more so than her as she still had some fears and insecurities about being too much. She was scared that if she showed how clingy and desperate for your praise and touch she actually was, you would leave. But every single time the dark thoughts started to kick in, you’d prove her wrong and the worst thing was, you weren’t even aware of the positive impact you had on her.
Oh, you were so so lovely, so gentle and kind towards someone who couldn’t see the good in themselves but, she thought, if such a lovely person like you could love someone like her then she can’t be that bad, right? I mean, you were always so open and affectionate towards her, giving her as many kisses as she wanted and never showing any annoyance as she whined for more. Your hugs were tight and so full of love that whenever you held her, her mind was quiet for once. You gave her many pet names, which she returned wholeheartedly, and you always seemed genuinely interested in her work, and Jinx thought that the sparkly look of fascination in your eyes was truly the most beautiful sight that this shitty world had to offer. You were so patient and tolerant of her ramblings, always supporting her through her episodes by holding her hand or just standing close and talking to her softly when she couldn’t handle physical touch.
Because of all this and so much more, Jinx loved you. She loved you enough to tell you about her past, all the memories that haunt her, and the burdens she carries, she even told you her real name and allowed you to use it. You two basically had no secrets in front of one another, always joined at the hip and holding each other tenderly.
But try as you might to reassure her how much you love her despite everything, doubts still kicked in. Especially after extremely upsetting and exhausting episodes such as this one. There wasn’t a time when she needed you more but you've been gone for days, going back to your apartment after spending a week at hers. Silco grew irritated at Jinx's neglect of her duty as she was too enamored by you to do anything other than keep you company. So you, not wanting to get Jinx in trouble by being a distraction or get on Silco’s bad side, decided to leave and let her do what she needs to do for a while with a promise that you’ll be back in a couple of days.
Not knowing when you were coming back and worn out from the mental strain the episode caused her, Jinx curled up into herself and blankly stared off in the distance. She spaced out so much that she barely took note of her apartment door opening or the sound of soft steps making way towards her room. Like an angel sent from Heaven, your beaming face entered her room and, not noticing the state she was in, you made your way towards her, hugging her softly and placing a soft kiss on her cheek.
‘’Hey babygirl,’’ you greeted her with a voice filled with adoration, ‘’I’m sorry for coming unannounced, I just thought it has been a while and I wanted to check up on-‘’, that was when you noticed her red, puffy eyes and trembling lips. Quickly taking her face in your soft arms, you directed her gaze towards you, asking in a worried, but patient voice; ‘’What happened, baby? Are you hurt? Do you want to talk about it? Are you okay with me touching you or do you need space?’’ Knowing that it may take a while for her to gather herself and respond, you patiently waited. You were expecting all kinds of replies, but what she said next wasn’t one of them.
‘’Why do you love me?’’ and oh, if the doubt and sadness of her raspy voice didn’t break your heart in that very moment, nothing ever will. You knew Jinx had her doubts, for she was only human but you sometimes forgot just how heavy of a burden this silly, amazing girl carried on her tired shoulders. Gently brushing away some soft, blue locks which obscured parts of her face, you took a deep breath and said, ‘’I love you because you’re you. I love your intelligence and wit, your sense of humor, your creativity. I love how good you are despite everything you’ve been through. I love the way your hair frames your face, the way your tattoos adorn your beautiful frame. I love the sparkle in your eyes when one of your amazing inventions works and the art you decorate them with. I love the way you hold me in your arms and how you kiss me and look at me like I’m the most precious thing in the world. I love your qualities and I love your flaws. I love all the good and the bad you ever have to offer to me and that’s how it’ll always be. You’re my sunshine, my sweetheart and no one could ever convince me that you’re undeserving of all the good that this world has to offer. I love you more than anything, Powder.’’ You finish with a soft kiss to her freckled nose and hold her as she starts crying again.
You know she feels the same about you, you needn’t hear it from her to know it. Right now, it’s all about her. You gently card your fingers through her hair, whispering sweet nothings into her ear and holding her for God knows how long.
Slowly but surely, she starts breathing more evenly and eventually rises her head up to look you straight in the eyes. She mutters a soft ‘’I love you too, my trinket.’’, and lets you slowly drag her up and sit her down on the couch as you prepare some hot chocolate for your darling girl.
That night, the two of you fall asleep entangled with one another, so much that you can’t even tell where your body begins and hers ends. Exchanging soft pecks and tender touches, the two of you fall asleep with your hearts beating in tandem and matching smiles on your faces. No matter what the world may throw at you, you will always love this ridiculous and utterly lovely blue-haired girl and she will love you, until the end of time.
a/n: dear anon, thank you for this lovely request and kind words. i've gotten a bit carried away and wrote more angst than i originally planned. i hope you'll enjoy this work regardless as it is the first fanfiction i've written. if this is not to your liking, feel free to let me know and i'll write a new work that'll be more fitting to your request :)

slipping through my fingers. ii
jinx manages to revive you, but it isn't exactly what she expected. nor is it a very happy reunion. reader: neutral. cw: reader in extreme pain, distress, a very light mention of bile, mirroring the events of jinx's revival. for anyone wondering why jinx didn't revive [y/n] with shimmer, the reasoning will be explored in later parts.
Tumblr media
looking at your body again, lying across a table in her hideout, jinx wanted to cry again. you were dirty, injured, after protecting her from that monkey bomb. without you, she would be dead. without you, ekko might have gotten the gemstone. without you, her entire plan would've crumbled like a weak foundation.
it was so cruel to take you away before seeing the success you would've brought. dick move, god, but jinx was gonna undo it either way. she cracked her knuckles, expression determined and unbroken. this was gonna be a long night of studying the arcane. but it would all pay off. this was gonna work. it was gonna work! and she would finally tell you how much you meant to her.
she worked quickly. she didn't have a choice.
every few seconds, she glanced at you. maybe you would move, you would breathe, blink, something, anything.
and at some point you... did. your shoulders moved and you breathed, shallowly, mumbling something that she didn't comprehend. she was too busy rushing over to you, shock numbing her senses.
"[y/n]?! toots, you- you're a... you're alive! oh god, please, say something. hey, c'mon. c'mon, you can say something, please!" carefully cupping your cheek, she looked over your face, your eyes just barely opened. for a split second, there was recognition in your gorgeous gaze. but it was snuffed out like a candle. jinx bit her lip, feeling overwhelmed again. did she just lose you for a second time?
no. no, she was gonna get you back. she was going to get you back.
"don't you worry a little bit, precious. you'll be back. and i will never, ever, ever let you die again. i promise." she pressed a gentle kiss to your forehead.
maybe you still felt it.
Tumblr media
out of pitch blackness you gasped for air, choking on your own breath. your eyes shot open and your soul was shoved back into your body with no mercy, bringing you nothing but pure, searing-hot agony. you couldn't help but cry out, shutting your eyes tight again to try and keep from crying.
"[y/n]!" though murky, you could hear... a voice. it felt like you were supposed to recognize it.
was [y/n] you?
your resolve wasn't strong enough to keep back the tears. they spilled haphazardly, and your body convulsed with painful sobs. the pain was just getting worse and worse and nothing was helping, not like you had anything that could. your entire body, every single part of every nerve, was being stabbed with red-hot knives over and over and over but you never grew numb to it.
"[y/n], it's okay, it's okay, sweets, i'm here!"
someone took your hand in theirs, and you squeezed it tightly, your knuckles turning white.
"you can get through this, precious, you're okay. you're okay, you'll be okay!" seeing you like this broke her heart, almost as much as watching you die. but you weren't gonna die. never again. just like she promised.
with the comforting words of whoever this was, the pain finally became manageable. it still hurt like hell, and maybe that was where you were. but then it became bearable. then it faded into a dull, aching throb in your entire heavy body, mocking you by being just painful enough to keep you squirming, but hurting more when you moved. tears still stained your dirty face, and jinx did her best to wipe them away. but they simply didn't stop.
"h-hey, toots, you- are you okay? can you open your eyes for me? please, please, just look at me, okay?" the desperation which you heard made you even more afraid. not only did you just experience such searing pain you forgot your own name, but now you were greeted with a worried voice that you didn't recognize.
you obeyed, though. you always did.
your eyes swam with lingering pain and endless confusion. it hurt jinx to see that, but at least you were looking at her again. at least you could see her again.
"hey! hey, sweetheart! you're back...! oh, you're back! it worked, oh my god, it worked..." she hugged you, and the affection so deeply comforted you, yet your confusion still remained. perhaps it only got worse. your vision was clearer; you could see a little bit. you didn't recognize the place you were in nor the person who was embracing you. but you had a feeling that you should recognize them. the vaguest sense of deja vu. this should be familiar.
yet it wasn't.
"w-what... what happened? where am i? what's going on?" good god, you sounded terrible. your throat was scratchier than coarse sandpaper. in the back of your throat, you tasted copper. bloody bile.
"you... well, ya died, toots." she paused, inhaling deeply, trying to get it through her head that you were back. you were alive. there was no need to cry anymore. "i couldn't stand to lose you, so- so i promised i wouldn't. i had to bring ya back. don't hold it against me. i just- i love you so, so, so much it hurts sometimes and i was an idiot to never tell you that before. so i'm telling you now!" her tone and volume were all over the place. she pulled away from the hug, tenderly cupping your cheeks in her hands. "i love you. and not platonically either. i love you, i dedicate everythin' to you, and- a-and i wanna spend the rest of my life waking up to your gorgeous face."
the relief and adoration in her eyes couldn't have possibly been directed at you. it felt like you were enveloped in this beautiful warmth of love and yet you recalled nothing about where it came from. your heart ached for this person you didn't know, this person you should've known.
"so- so do you... love me back? y'know? do you wanna wake up with me too?" jinx's voice shook, though it was softer.
"i-i... i'm sorry. i don't know who you are." you had no recollection of this girl or your relationship. yet tears still blurred your vision when you saw that love seep out of her eyes, leaving them dark, horrified. her expression was molded to fit her eyes.
"what? what? no. no, no, no." she pulled away, stepping backward before beginning to pace. she filed through books for a few second, tossing them aside without care if they didn't have her answers. "fuck, did i do it wrong? no. no!"
within an instant, jinx turned back to you, slamming her hands down on the table beside you. the sound made you jump and flinch away. "no! no, i refuse to believe that! you're fucking with me! don't say that, you remember me! you've gotta!"
those eyes, that expression, that aura, everything about her screamed angry. her expression softened into pure shock, seeing the terror which you reflected back.
"please- please don't hurt me, i-i don't know you."
instantly she stepped back again, covering her mouth with her hand. "oh no... no. i just got you back. i can't lose you again." she sniffled, swallowing back her own cries.
"who are you? what is going on? i-i, i just- what is happening?"
the pain was steadily flowing out of your body and, therefore, out of your voice. jinx was once again greeted with that familiar, beautiful sound unique only to you. whether it made her feel better or worse was... inconclusive. maybe both.
"you really just don't remember me, huh." she chuckled. what else was she supposed to do? "i'm jinx. i was your best friend. i- i showed ya how to make bombs and other trinkets and you were such an incredible person, i can't- i can't believe i still managed to fuck this up! oh my god. oh god." with every word she spoke she got closer to crying. but she couldn't. please, not now, not ever.
just like before, you managed to keep your cool after a moment, even when jinx was panicking right beside you. "okay... so, jinx, you were my best friend?"
"i a- i was."
"what's, uh... my name? is it [y/n]?" you had heard her say it. but you weren't all too sure if it was really your name.
the look she gave you was purely indescribable.
"y-you forgot your own name..?" she tried to swallow the lump in her throat. "your name is... your name is [y/n]. you were one of- no. nah. you were the kindest, sweetest person down here. you could forgive people even after they.. fffucked you over! i have no fuckin' clue how you managed it. life down here isn't exactly rainbows and roses and yet somehow you were! you... i can't believe i managed to lose you again. i'm so sorry, [y/n]. god damnit." jinx forced herself not to cry, trying to bottle up those emotions and toss them away.
you looked down at your hands. even though you had nothing to understand, the agony you had just gone through gave you a sense of strong clarity. like someone with poor vision wearing proper glasses for the first time.
"can you teach me to be who i was before?... please?"
you could feel her gaze on you, and this time, you looked up to meet it. she wanted you, and you wanted your life back. your memories back. it was a logical conclusion.
to her, you looked like a confused child, scared and alone in a dark forest. but you'd found a lighter. so maybe it wasn't going to end badly. the hope that glittered in your eyes still didn't disappear. even after getting your soul ripped out of your body then shoved back in, going through the worst pain imaginable, here you were. almost smiling. determined to become who you were before everything.
"y-you..." jinx covered her mouth, trying not to cry. at least she couldn't see you through the tears already in her eyes. "you're still so precious. i would do anything to get you back. a-and if that means i show ya everythin' all over again, tell ya every story in the books, destroy the world and build it back up, i'll do it. i'll do it, [y/n]. i-i gotta."
the exhaustion was steadily creeping up your spine. "you don't have to destroy the world for me. we can just build it back up."
within a second you were enveloped in another tight hug. now that you had calmed down, and maybe partially because you were so tired, it felt cozy and warm. so you returned it. you relaxed into it. and that just made her silent cries a little louder.
"that's what you would'a said. you're still in there somewhere, toots. i'll get'ya out. i promise. i promise."
maybe you were still confused, still not used to being, uh... alive again. but at least you weren't stumbling blind. at least you had a lighter, no matter how small it was, or how little light it gave off. whoever you were before you died, it was no wonder you died for jinx. if she cared about you this much, surely she cared about the world the same.

Hello! I just love your arcane x reader works! Can you do arcane characters x gender neutral! reader who either died or got kidnapped during a mission?
Oh not making Reader dead nope, these characters have suffered enough they don't need a dead lover.
Pairing: Jinx, Vi, Caitlyn, Ekko, Vander, Silco, Sevika, Viktor, Jayce, Mel x Reader
Tags: angst, hurt/comfort, injury, cuddles, nightmares, crying, rescue mission, reunion kisses
A/N: Well um... Jayce might... you know what no, Mel is gonna be fine!
Tumblr media
First, know that you won't stay kidnapped for long. If it for some reason is days then be ready to be face to face with a very tired and very pissed off Jinx when she finally manages to track you down.
Who ever kidnapped you most likely won't survive to tell the tail and even if by some miracle they do they sure as hell won't ever look at the color blue the same way ever again. She might be tired as all fuck, on the verge of collapsing even but she won't rest until you're safe and sound in her arms back in her house.
"You're safe and sound now sugar. That must've been scary for ya. Don't worry, they won't hurt you again. Or anyone else for that matter. Oh, no don't look at them like that, ya shouldn't be sorry for them, they don't deserve your compassion."
Tumblr media
By the time Vi finds you she's bruised up maybe even more then your kidnappers. She's fought her way through all of them, yelling and cursing every single one of them. She gathers you in her arms and carries you back home.
As much as she wants to be the one taking care of you she's also pretty beat so you take the role of caretaker instead. Her hands are red and covered in cruises from vicious punching, twitching when you kiss them gently. Shit, you got her feeling all mushy, she could cry, no she is crying, she feels very lucky to have you.
"I'm supposed to be the one taking care of you sweet stuff, you're the one who got kidnapped. I know! How is it that I'm more banged up then you? You should have seen those sorry bastards, one actually cried for his mom. Did... did they make you cry? If they did I'm going back and kicking their asses all over again."
Tumblr media
Caitlyn, as much as she wants to, doesn't rush in. She has a plan, one that assures that not one of those who wronged you escapes her sights and a fair trail. In which they will be put behind bars for kidnapping and extortion.
She takes care of most of them by herself, a little more rough around the edges then usual but still not missing a shot. She can't afford to. Can't help but cry when she cups your bruised face in her hands. She was scared, so damn scared that this was it. Right now only your kiss will make her feel relieved again.
"Darling, its me, its just me. Please, I know it hurts but... oh gods... please just let me hold you a little. I don't care that they're looking, I need this right now. Don't worry I've got a warm bath and even warmer hugs ready for you once we get back home."
Tumblr media
Ekko arrives to rescue you with an entire team of Firelights at his back. He doesn't even bother hiding his face with the mask, he wants them to remember him, the look in his eyes and how it could have been the last thing they ever saw.
There's no way he can tear himself away from you once he's got you safe and sound in his arms. He doesn't leave your side while your injures are being treated or while you sleep. In fact he doesn't even sleep until you wake up and smile at him again the next morning, that's the point where he feels like he's done a good job.
"Firefly how do you feel? You took a bit of a hit to the head but the doctor said you should be okay now. Sorry, I got careless and let my guard down. I saw them coming but I... I wasn't fast enough. Its not okay! I could have gotten you killed. I would lay my life down for the cause, and that does double for laying down my life for you."
Tumblr media
There isn't anything or anyone that can move around Zaun without Vander's knowledge. He thought he left his violent days behind him a long time ago, and for the most part he has but there's still that protective spark in him that can activate his violent side easily.
His fists may be covered in blood but his smile and eyes are as soft as ever when he looks at you. Soft kisses are pampered all over your forehead, the tiniest broken hiccup tearing from his mouth as he nuzzles you close to him and carries you back to the Last Drop to look you over.
"I should've taken care of that gang long ago. Then you wouldn't be in this situation darlin'. How do I feel? Not a scratch on me as you can see. You on the other hand... don't worry you still look pretty to me, bruises or not. I can kiss them better if you just stopped your squirming around."
Tumblr media
Zaun is Silco's domain. If anyone is stupid enough to try and kidnap you in his own territory they won't stay hidden for long. And once he finds them, well, he's got plenty of uses for scum like that. Painful use.
As for you, you get nothing but his undivided attention until the last bruise on your body fades away. Sure he does need to be in his office and all that but you can be with him, you can get kisses whenever you want even get to cuddle with him on the couch.
"Are you comfortable over there darling? If you want I can get something better brought here. Shimmer? Well it would be faster but I'm not getting you hooked on this, you're much to precious to me to be some experiment. Your kidnappers on the other hand will serve their purpose."
Tumblr media
They will have to eat through a straw for the rest of their lives if they even survive Sevika getting her hands on them. They should be so lucky to only get away with broken bones and nothing else with the way she was making her way through them.
Sevika is very careful when she's handling you, she'd never been so gentle with anyone. It's new, endearing even. You're pretty sure you hear her cursing beside you when she's got her arms wrapped around yours as you fall asleep, followed by a very long kiss on your head and a heavy, relived sigh.
"Sleep sweet thing, no one's gonna hurt you hear me? They can try but I'll kill them all, lucky if that's all I do. The only reason those idiots are still breathing is cause I didn't wanna get their blood all over your pretty face. If I see them again there's gonna be a lot to clean up."
Tumblr media
Viktor doesn't think he can let you out of his sight ever again after you're back at his side. He only wishes he could have done more then waited for you to be retuned to him. At least you're safe that's all that should matter.
He should be the one looking after you but he's the one who ends up with nightmares that night. He's already lost sleep, he should be resting but when he thinks about you not being here anymore, it crushes him from the inside. All he wants, all he needs right now is to cuddle up next to you and listen to your heartbeat.
"Sorry I woke you up darling. I'm alright, don't worry. I'm not crying, just had a bit of a bad dream. Go back to sleep please, you need it. I'll be fine, as long as I've got you here by my side there's nothing I cannot handle."
Tumblr media
Jayce holds you close to his chest while he carries you to the doctor. He's constantly kissing the back of your hand, his hammer leaning against the bedframe just in case any of the kidnappers got away and wanted to try their luck again.
There aren't many things that can make him scared like the thought of losing you. He tries to be logical most of the time, he feels like that's what he should be, but you make him act on his emotions, you make him want to scream and cry and tell you over and over how much he loves you and how he'll never let anything bad happen to you again.
"Hey, you're awake! Whoa babe, easy, don't try getting up right now, you need to rest, you've been through a lot today. Just say the word and I'll get you whatever you need. You always take care of me so let me be a good boyfriend and spoil you for a change and help you get better okay?"
Tumblr media
Mel was almost ready to throw diplomacy out the damn window and turn both Piltover and Zaun on their heads to find you. But that would be going against everything the two of you are trying achieve. That said she doesn't show mercy to your kidnappers either, making sure they get put away for a long time, never seeing the light of day again.
After every meeting with the Council she rushes home to you, her mind stuck on you all day, unable to concentrate properly. This will be an issue for her until you recover but you being safe and getting healed up are... more important to her then impressing the Council.
"I made it home early for you darling, and I brought some more medicine. Would you like it now or after you eat? I see, very well then, just my company for now is it. I must say you've become a bit more spoiled recently. I don't mind one bit, as long as you're alright I'm happy to provide you anything you want."

Powder.
Jinx.
She caused more trouble than she could ever imagine.
If only she didn’t set off that bomb that day.
If only Sevika jumped in front of you instead of Silco.
It still haunts her to this day.
The sudden flash of blue, the shocked expression on Silco’s and your’s face.
She wishes it could have been her instead of you. Now, she has no one. Not someone she’s willing to be with, anyway. No one could replace your voice, your touch, your kisses, your smile, your love.
Being at The Last Drop didn’t feel the same without you, so she moved to a different space to play with her buddies.
When Silco brought Powder in, Sevika was still upset, not only for the lost of her arm, but because she lost you. She didn’t know Jinx was the culprit; well, until it slipped out. Sevika was livid. She lost one of the only people she loved, from some kid?
She wanted to beat the shit out of Jinx, but for obvious reasons, she never did.
All Sev could do was visit your gravestone, think about you and the past memories you two had. She tried to go to Babette’s to drown these feelings, but they never went away. The women there weren’t even close to being like you. After so long, she stopped and just continued working and working.
No matter how much Sevika masked her feelings, without a doubt, she missed you. She always has. No amount of masking could deny this.
If only things were different.

hii, could you make a one shot where jinx is "friends" with the reader but they like constantly kiss each other or are super clingy to eachother and everyone thinks they are more than friends until they end up confessing their fellings?
ice cream sundae // jinx
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
warning: fluff, kissing & some angst
pairing: jinx x fem reader
a/n: this took me such a long time but i hope you enjoy it :) i had a lot of fun writing it so thank you for the request! also can you tell how much i wanted ice cream while writing this?
your relationship with jinx wasn’t exactly ideal. it was sweet— fluffy cotton candy, cavity-inducing sweetness. the type of ice cream dessert where you could just feel the bits of sugar melting on your tongue, and the budding stomach ache looming near. it was comfort and love except without the usual strings or a daunting “relationship” title.
although to most, you were in fact together— nearly inseparable, and you couldn’t fault them. after all, “friends” don’t share fervent kisses that leave them breathless for minutes on end. nor do they spend hours each night bound until the other manages to fall asleep.
at first, the intimacy didn’t bother you. you and jinx had always been comfortable around each other. the added intimacy only seemed to strengthen your relationship even further which neither of you seemed to mind— well that was until others took note.
silco’s office was crowded with chembarons and compatriots— all eager to hear about his next plan. they practically hung on his every word, offering the fearless leader their undivided attention. yet the sight was enough to draw hushed snickers from your lips.
“they all look constipated,” jinx chuckled, swinging an arm around the small of your back. she pulled your body close to hers despite the somewhat seriousness of the situation. you nuzzled into her side, burying your face into her neck. the noise drew the attention of a few but you managed to suppress the budding laughter— at least for a while.
“no he looks constipated” you smirked, “how do they even take him seriously?” your eyes darted back and forth between the crowd and silco— once again you felt like you were going to lose it. jinx clutched onto you as if to remind you of where you were. but one glance at her blue eyes sent you into an uncontrollable fit of giggles.
the two of you were too distracted to really notice it but dozens of eyes turned your way, along with silco’s. jinx’s arms wrapped around you almost instinctively as both you and her succumbed to laughter, clinging onto each other for dear life. to everyone else in the room, you looked like a couple.
first, it was the intimacy— jinx rarely left your side throughout the entire meeting. each time someone looked over, the distance between the two of you seemed to diminish by the minute. however, aside from that it all seemed natural like you belonged together— and not once did either of you pull away.
“jinx.”
silco’s voice was loud and stern, startling you from her grasp. he ambled towards her, redirecting the attention back onto the three of you. even with the added set of eyes, jinx maintained the distance, gently ushering you back toward her.
“i’m sure there will be plenty of time for you to flirt with your girlfriend after the meeting.”
girlfriend…?
a brief silence swept over the room, completely sucking the air from your lungs, and simultaneously leaving jinx speechless. you were aware that people mistook you for being more than her friend— but when it was finally brought up your feelings seemed like they were on display. free to be analyzed and picked apart by everyone, including jinx.
“uh— she’s not my girlfriend,” she blurted a lot quicker than expected. you couldn’t help but flinch at her words, so concise and almost deliberate. she wasn’t wrong and you knew that but why did everyone else have to?
“regardless, try not to interrupt again?” sharply, silco turned on his heel pulling the attention back towards his speech. and although much hadn’t changed you couldn’t bear to be near jinx. the sugary appeal of a partial relationship no longer seemed ideal, because in the end you were still left with the ache.
she turned back towards you, remorse seeping its way into her features, “ignore hi—“
“i have to go.” mentally, you were already far from the crowded room. without another word, you slid from her arms storming towards the door as you left jinx’s side for the first time in months.
there wasn’t much of a goal in mind— but you needed to get away and there weren’t many options. each one that presented itself had an increased chance of you seeing jinx again, and you couldn’t face her just yet. thus, you continued to walk the streets of zaun, following the dim light that the moon sanctioned.
the silence only seemed to stir your thoughts even further and they weren’t angry ones. you couldn’t bring yourself to be mad at jinx because she hadn’t done anything wrong. the fact is you weren’t her girlfriend and no amount of kisses or gentle touches would change that. gradually tears brimmed your eyes but you refused to let them fall, swallowing the growing knot in the back of your throat.
the last drop was the first place you found solace after hours of mindless wandering. you stumbled towards an empty seat, slumping over the counter. you missed jinx— you yearned to be close to her again but it had to be real, you couldn’t simply be her “friend.”
“an ice cream sundae, please.” you mumbled to the confused bartender.
despite the fact that it was a bar and not a dessert stand your request was granted in a matter of minutes. placed in front of you was a large cup with a blend of french vanilla and rich chocolate. drizzled in syrup and cookies that covered the entire top. at the very center of it was a small cherry that looked all the more delectable. yet you couldn’t bring yourself to pick up the spoon or let alone move.
you felt her first, her touch soft and gentle as a long set of arms snaked around your waist. she propped her chin on your shoulder, bringing your dessert to her lips. the bar was quiet, nearly empty— yet you became hyper-aware of every movement. jinx’s affection was never something you needed to process up until now. however, it was the first time you truly felt conscious of it.
“never had this flavor before.” she hummed, leaning up against the counter. cerulean eyes glazed over yours, setting your cheeks ablaze. the soft skin of her arms gently brushed against your waist causing hundreds of goosebumps to form. and no matter how hard you tried, you couldn’t conceal it from her.
jinx muttered, her voice somber, “y’know when you ran out last night i waited– but you never showed up.” her eyes were glassy and at first glance, it looked like she was on the verge of tears. instinctively, you brought the pad of your thumb to her face, gently wiping them away. despite the budding tension, she didn’t flinch away, only leaning further into your touch.
“i had to think.” the words came out as a feeble whisper, completely flying over jinx’s head. you could practically feel her growing more restless at the sound of silence pervading the bar.
“what about?”
she desperately tried to keep her voice calm but it became glaringly obvious that she was losing it. her eyes darted between yours almost crazed, and deep jagged lines began to form around her nose.
“us— i mean what are we doing jinx? i’m serious, we act like we’re dating and it’s to the point where everyone thinks we are.” you sighed, bringing your hand to the side of her face. the warmth soothed her, relieving some of the stress that was mounting on her shoulders but you couldn’t push anymore— not until you knew how she felt.
“who cares what other people think?” she spat, deflecting even further to no avail. your heavy gaze sent heat straight to her cheeks, coating them in a bright red shade.
“it’s not about what they think— why can’t we just make it official? it’s not a secret that i love you and i’m tired of just being your friend.” the desperation practically oozed from your voice, sending a pang of guilt to jinx’s chest.
“you’re gonna make me get all sappy, you know i hate that,” she joked, a hint of sadness lacing her words. there was no going back. for a moment she pressed her lips together, taking a deep breath before continuing.
“it’s not that i don’t love you….i have for as long as i can remember. but if we make this real it’s all gonna change— i know it will.” her eyes offered you a moment of clarity, they pleaded with you but were honest— she was honest. it was all you ever really wanted, some sort of confirmation that she felt the same way.
“that doesn’t have to be a bad thing.”
“but it usually is, and i can’t screw this up, y/n.”
“look at me, i’m not going anywhere but you have to trust me….do you trust me?” you cooed, turning your body towards hers. the distance between the two of you grew smaller yet neither of you pulled away. jinx took your hand in hers silently nodding as you placed a palm over her thigh. you were no longer in limbo, you needed to find some way that the two of you could exist as more than friends.
you pushed the half-melted ice cream sundae away, plucking an additional straw from the counter.
“i’m not really in the mood for dessert right now hun,” jinx said, although she reached for it anyway.
“that’s okay, just share this with me.” the both of you brought your lips to the straws, humming at the sweet taste that lingered on your tongues.
jinx brushed a strand of blue from her face, craning her neck to get a better look at you. slowly, her eyes roamed over your face, taking in your features one by one. it was something she was used to doing but never this intimately.
“is it just me or is this the best thing you’ve ever tasted?” you asked, yet jinx was way too distracted to even notice. slowly slipping, her eyes fell on yours and for a moment she held them there, in both admiration and awe. she couldn’t fathom a world in which you were just her friend.
“jinx?” you called, your voice snapping her back to reality.
“hm?”
“do you like it?”
jinx plucked the cherry from the top bringing it to her lips, a bright sparkle glimmering in the corners of her eyes. she brought the fruit to her lips, although her focus was far from it, and the tempting desert just a few feet inches from her. she leaned in closer, testing the invisible boundary.
without another word her hands made their way to the back of your head, initiating a fierce long awaited kiss. in a matter of seconds, you leaned into it, clasping onto jinx’s body for dear life. your tongue swirled in her mouth, savoring the sweet taste of sugar left behind. neither of you could get enough of it, it was infectious and almost addicting.
when jinx finally pulled away she was breathless, ardent passion blurring her gaze. she ensured that her eyes never left yours as she whispered, “i loved it.

“Yeah Katsuki! Show her what you can do!” A boy encourages as he and another friend watch the blonde blasting explosions at a girl with H/C hair. “Stop! Please!!” The girl begged but the boy wouldn’t stop. “Look at her! Such bad luck.” A boy laughed, “HAHA!! Like a jinx! Hey- Let’s give her a new nickname!” The other said. “Heh, Jinx? I like that nickname.” The blonde smirked, grabbing the girl’s hair to face him. “Your name is Jinx, alright? You have such bad luck, you’re probably the reason why you’re an orphan. I think Jinx fits you well.” The boy smirked, the girl was scared, unable to say anything. “She accepted it so easily! How pathetic!!” The brunette boy laughed, the other joining in beating her up.
Suddenly there was a voice that got the bullies attention, “Hey!! Stop bullying her!” The blonde, Katsuki, turned around to see his childhood “friend” Izuku. “Deku! You want a beating too?” He asked with a grin. “If you don’t stop! I’ll- I’ll tell on you!” The timid boy stuttered. “Tch, c’mon Katsuki.” One of them said, Katsuki scoffed before kicking the girl one more time and walked away with his gang.
The boy quickly ran towards the beaten up girl, asking her if she was okay in a panicked voice. "Do you need to go to the nurse??" He asked but to no response, the girl just looked at the ground with a blank face, as if she accepted her fate. That she was nothing but a jinx.
Everyday for the past middle school years, she has been bullied by Katsuki Bakugou and his gang after they learned that she was an orphan. She was beaten up, called a jinx, always having bad luck following her. Even worse, she started to have mental issues, always being seen talking to herself or having a panicked look in her eyes. She practically accepted her fate, getting bullied and having bad luck following her.
Her orphanage tried to get the treatment she needed but to no avail, she was just.. unable to be fixed. She suddenly began to have breakdowns in class, but no one helped. Everyone simply viewed her as a freak. It was just a matter of time before she was taken out of school. Bakugou and his gang didn't have their little toy anymore and so they started to bully Deku for being quirkless. When the girl started attending the school in their second year, Deku was able to avoid getting bullied. However, by the time she pulled out of school at the start of their third year, Katsuki and his friends had turned their attention to the poor, timid boy.
When the two boys were accepted into U.A, it was a huge turn around for Deku, finally being able to become the hero he always wanted to be! If only she could achieve that with him. Katsuki was only fueled with rage, angered that he was not the only one that was accepted. He had Deku pinned to the wall with an angered look, demanding to know how he got accepted, along the lines of “Did you bribe them?!” But it wasn’t true, Deku had worked hard after receiving One For All and he got in with his own efforts, with the help of All Might.
Weeks have passed since middle school ended. He has been putting in a lot of effort in U.A with his new classmates and making new friends, growing closer every day. He continues to make attempts to get in touch with his middle school friend Y/N L/N, but the orphanage says that she ran away a few months after dropping out of middle school. He tried looking for her but failed. He eventually admitted defeat and gave up trying to find her.
Little did he know, he would be seeing her soon.
It was the day the students were gonna learn about rescue. They all had to take the bus to the U.S.J because it was farther from the main building. Everyone was already outside with their hero costumes, except Deku who had his gear and his PE uniform instead of his costume. “Hey Deku, aren’t they your gym clothes?” Uraraka asked, walking up to Deku. “Where is your costume?” She asked, pointing at his clothes, “Ah, it got ruined during the battle training, so they’re repairing it for me.” He embarrassingly said.
Everyone was then ordered by Iida to go inside the bus to begin the journey to the U.S.J
By the time they arrived, they were greeted by the pro hero No.13!! The students were in awe of the hero as the hero explained the meaning behind the name of “U.S.J!!” The students were so excited to be learning how to rescue others but villains had other plans..
Suddenly, the lights started electrifying and turning off which made the students look up. And then the fountain water flowed intermittently and a big misty purple portal materialized out of nowhere. Villains had appeared. The students thought it was part of an exercise but Aizawa said otherwise.
As the problems began to increase, a light blue ashy haired man and a joyful looking girl with H/C watched the chaos that had occurred by their arrival. “Hey, Shiggy! Can I maybe play with a certain blonde?~” The girl asked with an excited smile, “Do what you want, you mentally unstable child.” Shigaraki sighed, the girl smiled happily by his approval, “Giri!! Help me out here!” She called out to the misty man, “Of course, Jinx.” The misty bartender nodded before opening one of his portals for her. “Thank you!!” She thanked before skipping inside the portal and arriving in the Ruins Zone.
A blonde and a red haired boy were fighting off the goons that were sent into the zone with them, easily defeating them all with the blonde calling them all weak and even attacked one of them that were trying to sneak behind him with an explosion, And just as they were gonna go, a portal appeared in front of them, “Another extra! Fine, bring it on!!” He grinned, both of them positioning themselves to attack this anonymous attacker.
A girl with H/L H/C hair with a steampunk themed outfit waltzes right out before the portal closes. The red haired boy dashed towards the enemy and just as he was gonna take a hit, the villain swiftly dodged the attack and pulled out a makeshift gun and shot him with an electric shot. The boy quickly recovered and ran back into action, catching the villain off guard and managing to hold her in place, “Bakugou! Quick, take a hit!” The boy, Kirishima, called out but the boy stayed frozen, taking recognition from the villain’s E/C eyes that were tinted in bright pink.
“Bakugou!!” Kirishima yelled again which took Bakugou out of his frozen state and he quickly got back in action, blasting a powerful explosion towards the red head’s direction, managing to take a hit. Kirishima pounced back, siding with Bakugou as they waited for the villain’s next move. “Haha… I miss that heat! Did ya miss me, Kacchan?~” The H/C girl chuckled, slowly lifting her head up to show her glowing pink E/C eyes.Bakugou’s eyes widened as he finally remembered who she was.
“Y/N..?” He muttered softly, “Y/N? No no, it’s Jinx! Remember? You made me who I am today!” She laughed. “Oi, this must be some sick joke, I thought you wanted to be a hero!” He yelled out, “Heroes wouldn’t want an unstable student to be a hero, All For One helped me see that.” She smiled, creating a small crystal and smashed it onto the ground, “Bakugou, watch out!” Kirishima yelled before a F/C explosion engulfed the 3 people.
When the smoke cleared out, the girl stared at Kirishima who was protecting Bakugou with his body. Y/N looked at this with an angered and distorted look, scribbles were all around her, scribbling everything around her. Voices in her head started to talk, along the lines, “Monster!” “Freak!” “Jinx!!” And there were scribbles all along the boys’ faces. She was engulfed in a feeling of rage and sadness.
The boys finally recovered and looked at the distressed villain. Bakugou quickly blasted towards her, taking the opportunity as she was distracted, oh so he thought.
The girl noticed and quickly blasted her gun towards him, an electric feeling shook his body. “Have you gone weak?! You are so pathetic!” She mocked, walking towards him but a red head blocked her from doing so.
She managed to hold them off in the zone when All Might appeared. By the time All Might defeated the nomu, a portal appeared in front of her. “Oh? I guess it’s my time to go! It was lovely seeing you, Kacchan!” She smiled, walking into the portal before the two students could hit her.
“Until we meet again~”

You giggle as Vi spins you around in a corner of the meeting room. The very long, boring meeting had just ended and you were waiting to be dismissed. There would be a dinner since it was late, so everything was being set up by the Councilors’ staff in the room adjacent to this one. You get pulled into Vi’s arms and you rest your head on her shoulder.
“What should we do when we go home?” You whisper.
“Let’s go on a date.” Vi whispers back, “We can pull up a scary movie and make some popcorn. I know you wanted to watch Fear Street.”
“We wanted to watch Fear Street.” You poke her, “Don’t lie and tell me you’re not interested in a lesbian couple as main characters.”
“I really do want to watch it.” Vi chuckles, “I just think it’s cute how excited you are.” You straighten up when they call for everyone to enter the dining room. Vi leads you inside, pretending to be a proper gentleman as she pulls out your chair for you. You both laugh as you take the seat and she pushes you up to the table. She takes the seat next to you and throughout the whole dinner, you’re playing footsy with her. You’re like little kids, glancing at each other through the corners of your eyes and trying not to expose yourselves. Although the Councilors were used to your antics, a few even found amusement in it. You’re given a stern glance by Vi’s uncle, Silco, who’s well aware of your little game. He’s the whole reason the two of you are here in the first place. It makes you stop briefly, but you’re right back at it a few minutes later.
At the end of the dinner, you sweetly say your goodbyes to the Councilors before Vi is whisking you out of the building. You’re back to your usual silly antics as you walk down the hallway and come to the front door. In your distraction, you accidentally walk into another person and stutter out an apology.
“It’s alright.” The woman chuckles, steadying you, “It seemed like you were having fun.” You take a step back and smile brightly at her, Vi wrapping an arm around your waist. ‘Oh wow. She’s very beautiful.’ You think to yourself. Long, dark blue hair with a very attractive face.
“Still, I’m sorry.” You hold out your hand, “I’m Y/n. You are?”
“Caitlyn.” She shakes your hand, before extending it to Vi, “And, you are?” Your back feels cold when Vi removes her arm to shake Caitlyn’s hand, “Vi.”
“It’s nice to meet you, Caitlyn.” You smile at her, intertwining your fingers with Vi’s, “But, we have to get home. Sorry again for running into you.”
“That’s alright. It was nice meeting the two of you.” Caitlyn flashes a smile. With that, you and Vi headed out of the building excited to have your little impromptu date.
Tumblr media
“Vi?” You look up from the couch, turning to look at her in the kitchen.
“Yeah?” Vi glances at you.
“Do you want to go out tonight? It’s been a little bit since we’ve done that. You know, being so busy and all.” You snort. With Vander choosing to become the full-time bartender of The Last Drop, it was Vi’s turn to become the liaison between the two cities. Since Vi didn’t want to do it alone, you joined her but the work took away from your private life. You had to sacrifice a few things, especially as of late. Silco had the two of you running all over Zaun since Sevika was out sick. You were genuinely surprised to hear that she was out sick since you couldn’t remember the last time she was. But, the woman had caught a fever and was out of work until she was better. The last time you and Vi went on a date was a few months ago when you met Caitlyn. So, you were feeling a little antsy for that quality time with her.
“Actually, I’m going out in a few hours.” Vi smiles sheepishly, “I meant to tell you yesterday but Powder distracted me.”
“You’re going out?” You perk up, surprised to hear that, “What are you doing?”
“Caitlyn wanted to meet up and talk about some Councilor stuff.” Vi places your lunch on the table, “We’re going to meet up at that little coffee shop in Piltover.”
“Oh! Well, tell Caitlyn I said hello.” You peck her on the lips, “Bring me back a coffee?”
“You don’t like coffee.” Vi raises an eyebrow, “Why do you want me to bring you one?”
“Knowing you, you’ll forget to order yours because you’re too busy talking. But, you remember to bring me back something so technically the coffee is yours.” You grin cheekily.
“You’re adorable.” Vi chuckles, shaking her head fondly, “I’ll bring you back a coffee.”
When Vi came home that night, you were getting ready for bed. She was gone for hours but that’s how those kinds of meetings could go. Sitting and talking about things in a more social setting was easier. The last one you had with Councilor Shoola was about six hours long because you got off track a few times. So you happily greeted her as she leaned against the doorframe, but something felt weird the way Vi gazed at you. Almost like she was trying to memorize you. You were going to question her about it when her voice sounded.
“I want to break up with you.” Vi says clearly, making you freeze. Your shirt falls from your hands as you stare at her in disbelief.
“What?” You breathe out, heart pounding in your chest.
“I’m breaking up with you, Y/n. I don’t want to be with you anymore.” Vi sighs, awkwardly looking down at the ground.
“Oh.” You choke out, eyes springing with tears, “W-Why? I-If you… don’t mind me asking?” You try to speak around the lump in your throat. Your mind was spinning, confused and shocked at these words. There were no issues in your relationship. The only thing that took a backseat were your dates but everything else was going great. You regularly had sex and affection wasn’t withheld. There was nothing you could think of that would’ve hinted at this coming.
“I’m interested in dating Caitlyn and she’s interested in it, too. We’ve hooked up a few times and talked about it. The only thing keeping us from being together is my relationship with you.” Vi says honestly, and it makes you cry. You knew she wasn’t the kind of person to lie, but at this moment you wished that she was. Vi admitted to cheating on you. She had her hands all over someone else and still came back home to you like it was nothing. You sit down, tears running down your face even as you fight to keep them in.
“Okay… Leave, then.” You look up at her, Vi hesitating at the sudden anger in your voice, “Leave! Take your shit with you! You better be gone when I’m back.” You get up from the bed and bump her shoulder as you storm past her, grabbing your keys and wrenching the door open. It slams shut behind you but you’re marching for the stairs in a haze. How could this happen to you without there being a single sign? Nothing that Vi did was out of the ordinary.
You didn’t know where you were going until you were pounding on the door. Tears were falling from your eyes and there was no stopping them. It was freezing outside with it getting closer to winter, and your short shorts and sports bra were doing nothing to keep you warm. The door opens and Ekko gives you a confused look when he sees you.
“Y/n/n? What are you doing here at this time of night?” Ekko puzzles, before his eyes widen at your state, “Shit, come on. Come inside.” He gently pulls you inside, closing the door with his foot. No words are exchanged between you two as you’re guided to the living room and seated next to the fireplace. The warmth sends a shiver through your body, and you rub your arms as Ekko reappears with a shirt.
“Here.” He says softly, handing it to you, “Put this on.” You take it from him and pull it on before curling in on yourself. He sits next to you, draping a blanket around the two of you in the process. The only sound in the room is the crackling fire as you stare dully into the flames. ‘It was me, wasn’t it? It’s my fault. I wasn’t good enough for her. After five years, I just wasn’t good enough.’
“Vi broke up with me.” You rasp out, glancing at Ekko, “I’m sorry, I didn’t know where to go.” You're on the edge of crying again. It felt like anything could tip you over and you’d be in tears. You couldn’t remember the last time you felt this fragile.
“Please don’t apologize.” Ekko wraps his arms around you, “You know I’m here for you… What happened?” You rest your cheek on his shoulder, letting out a shaky sigh.
“She came home from a meeting with Caitlyn-” Your voice cracks and you start crying again, “and told me she was breaking up with me… She wanted to be with Caitlyn… and I was in her way.” The words come out shaky as you choke back tears.
“What the fuck?” Ekko breathes out in shock, his hold on you tightening, “That’s so fucked up. You don’t deserve that… I-I’m so sorry, Y/n.” You start crying harder, clutching onto the blanket as your breathing becomes uneven.
“Please stay here tonight. Please. I don’t want you going home like this.” Ekko begs you and you nod.
“I don’t want to be alone.” You whimper brokenly.
“It’s okay.” Ekko whispers, “You won’t be.”
The next morning, your head was pounding from how much you cried the night before. You and Ekko had passed out on the couch after all of your crying and incoherent babbling. He made you breakfast, gave you some water, and offered you some clothes to wear. You turned the clothes down but asked him to walk home with you which he immediately agreed to. So the two of you left his place and made the thirty-minute walk to your apartment.
When you got there, you froze outside the door, dreading what you’d see when you went inside… at least, what you wouldn’t find. Ekko was patient, giving you concerned glances as you finally unlocked the door and stepped inside. The place was chilly as no one had lit the fireplace and you huffed a laugh. It was ironically fitting that your apartment felt the same way you did.
You scanned the place, against your better judgment, and found all of Vi’s things gone. Everything from her clothes to the little pictures of you two on the dresser. You didn’t know what you were feeling as you stared down at your bed, your shirt laying forgotten on the floor.
“Y/n?” Ekko murmurs from behind you. You turn to him, silently questioning what he wanted.
“Do you… want me to help you with anything?” He asks carefully. You knew what he meant. There were still pictures of you and Vi. Your pictures. There’d be gifts she gave you. Well, stole for you. Things you’d have to go through and get rid of.
“No.” You whisper, slowly shaking your head, “Not right now.” Ekko nods and opens his arms, a silent invitation that you took. The two of you remained that way for a while. Hugging in the middle of your bedroom as you processed the reality of your situation. Vi left you for another woman.
Ekko had to leave eventually, so you were alone. The silence of the place was deafening, but you felt too drained to do anything. So, you fell onto your bed before quickly realizing it was a mistake. Your sheets smelled like her. That triggered the anger in you and you couldn’t see through your tears as you aggressively ripped the sheets from your bed. You didn’t think as you took the bundled-up cloth and tossed it into your fireplace. Your hands shook as you tried to strike a match, breaking a few before you were successful. With an angry yell, you threw the match inside and watched as it smoldered before catching. You dropped to the ground, breathing heavily, as the flames ate away at it.
“Why?” You whimper to yourself, “Why’d you leave me?”
Tumblr media
Meanwhile… Powder waited until her sister and that bitch she was with were in the open. She followed them to the park and let her gang know where they were. She was enraged after Ekko told them that Vi broke her friend’s heart. Not only that, but her asshole of a sister cheated on her for some stupid fucking Piltie!
Powder was going to ask Vi if it was true, but that went out the window when she found her making out with the blue-haired girl. She wasn’t going to let Vi get away with it, even if they were sisters. So, that’s where the rest of the Firelights come into play. When her sister was at the spot she marked, Powder let out a whistle. The Firelights zipped in from nowhere, startling the pair below them.
With various curses being thrown at Vi, there were also paint-filled balloons. They were popped by other Firelights as they got closer to the two women. The shriek Vi’s side chick let out was painful to Powder’s ears, but it was satisfying watching them get covered in paint. They made a break for it, but the distance they were from the nearest cover was too far from the flower field.
“YOU CHEATING FUCK!” Ekko screams as the balloon he threw bursts into neon yellow droplets. Powder activated her own hoverboard, flying low enough for her sister to see her. This? This was personal. She grips the chompers in her hands, doing her best not to drop them in her anger. Why did it have to be Y/n? She was such a sweet girl and did nothing but care for her sister. And now, she was bawling her eyes out because of her sister’s selfish actions.
“VIOLET!” Powder screams, her sister snapping her head in her direction.
“POWDER?!” Vi exclaims in shock, paint running down her face.
“THIS IS FOR Y/N!” Powder hurls the chompers at the, pulling the pins in the process. Vi’s eyes widen in horror but they explode into a huge cloud of glitter before she can react, “HAVE FUN GETTING THAT OFF, YOU CHEATER!” She glares at her sister, who’s staring at her in shock as the glitter covers her.

Days passed by in a blur but you’re not sure how many. You had sat in front of the fireplace long after the flames died. Not even your growling stomach could convince you to get up. It was the eventual ache from sitting on the floor for so long that convinced you to move. You trudged back to your room and stared at the stripped bed. All you did was grab a blanket and curl up on it.
Most of your time was spent laying in bed, but sometimes you’d find yourself on your bathroom floor. The apartment stayed cold, as you didn’t bother lighting the fireplace. It was only you, so there was no need to be warm. You had thought Vi took all of her things, but you were wrong. You found little things like hair clips, rolls of her bandages, and even some of her makeup. You couldn’t throw them away, stupidly thinking she might want them back. so they stayed where you found them.
You spent hours crying on your bathroom floor, spiraling into a depression you haven’t felt in years. And this time, you were dealing with it on your own. You couldn’t wrap your head around the reason why Vi left. You and Vi had been the couple. The one people looked at and said “I want what they have.” So where did it go wrong? Where did you fail? What did Caitlyn have that you didn’t? There had to be something, something that made you worthless in Vi’s eyes. Was it because Caitlyn has bigger boobs? A nicer figure? A better personality? Did she make Vi laugh harder? Smile wider? Hell, she was the daughter of a Councilor, not some nobody from Zaun. Unlike you. You couldn’t compete with that. Not with her.
Your friends came by to see you, the news of your breakup no doubt all over Zaun by now. They would knock on your door, some leaving food behind or slipping a note underneath. You tried to eat but didn’t feel hungry, so it ended up in the garbage. The notes sat unread on your counter, only making you feel worse. You knew people must’ve been worried about you, but that didn’t matter when she didn’t care. The one person you wanted to.
You heard the knock on your door, but you couldn’t move. You lay in your bed, staring blankly at your ceiling as the emptiness wears away at you. You didn’t even flinch as you heard the door open, followed by the heavy footsteps that could only belong to one person. Sevika. Your friends must’ve been desperate if they got her to come by. She wasn’t someone you were particularly close to since Vi had some grudge against her.
“Y/n?” Sevika’s voice sounds and you turn your head to your room door. Her eyes widen when she sees you but she doesn’t step into your room. ‘Huh? Why is she so worried? There’s no reason to be. I’m fine.’
“Hey, Sevika.” Your voice comes out barely louder than a whisper, “I’m sorry my friends bothered you into coming here.”
“They didn’t bother me into coming here. I came out of my own concern for you.” Sevika sighs, “And clearly, it was the right thing to do. It’s been two weeks since anyone has seen you, Y/n.”
“Two weeks?” You frown, trying to think of how long it has been since you saw Ekko, “That… That can’t be right.” You could have sworn it was only a few days ago. That much time couldn’t have gone by.
“It’s true.” Sevika finally steps into your room, “Now, come on. Get up and get into the shower or I’ll fucking bathe you myself.” She threatens, making you blink. It takes a bit longer than usual for you to process what she said, but you groan when you do. Sevika doesn’t make empty threats. You stare at each other for a moment before you painstakingly peel yourself from the bed. You didn’t care that Sevika was given an eyeful of your body when the blanket fell. Her eyes were on you all the way to the bathroom.
“Don’t you dare try anything!” Sevika shouts as you close the door, “I’ll break down that door if I have to!” You sigh heavily, looking at yourself in the mirror. You looked horrible. Bags under your eyes, pale-looking skin, and messy, knotted hair. You could hear Sevika moving around your room as you turned the shower on. You stare at the water, zoning out, as you wait for it to heat up.
“VI!” You shriek before laughing, struggling to get away from her. The water from the shower was hitting your back as you tried to put space between you two. Vi grins as her fingers race across your ribcage, tickling you.
“Vi! Vi, stop!” You squeal, “I can fall! I can fall!”
“No, you won’t. I’ll catch you.” Vi says cheekily, continuing to tickle you.
You frown, reaching up to wipe your face as tears start falling again. With a shaky breath, you step into the shower and stand underneath the water. The hot water felt amazing against your skin and it brought you a warmth you haven’t felt in days. You let your body relax, closing your eyes as you try to enjoy this feeling.
“Hey, what’s a cutie like you doing here?” Vi stands next to you, a drink in her hands.
“Would you believe me if I said to party?” You joke, taking a sip from your own drink.
“Actually, I wouldn’t.” Vi leans against the railing, “Considering the fact that you’ve been staring at me all night.”
“Oh, Gods.” You groan in embarrassment, “I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to. You’re just so attractive that I can’t help but look at you.”
“Ah, don’t worry. I’ve been doing the same with you.” Vi smirks, “Except, I’m a lot less obvious about it.” You laugh and give her a wide smile before holding out a hand.
“I’m Y/n.” You introduce yourself.
“I know. You’re the girl that works for my dad… I’m Vi, but I’m sure you already know that.” Vi chuckles.
“Who wouldn’t know you? You’re infamous in these parts.” You snort, “A heartbreaker some say.”
“A heartbreaker?” Vi raises an eyebrow, “Who says that?”
“The girls who haven’t had the chance to date you. The ones who have dated you say you’re a complete gentleman.” You say teasingly.
“Wow, you’ve done your homework.” Vi teases you, “Now you’ve got my attention. What do people say about you?”
“I don’t know.” You smile flirtatiously, “Why don’t you tell me?” Vi’s eyes sparkle in interest, her lips curving into a smile.
You open your eyes, shaking your head to chase away the memories. You slightly panic as you rush through your shower with a new urgency to get out of here to avoid more memories. You’re a bit gentler with your hair, mindful not to rip any of it out, but you’re stumbling out of the shower not long after.
You yank the towel off of the rack, wrapping it around you before walking out into the room. You pause when you see that your bed has been made with a whole new set of sheets. Folded up on top are some clothes and a brand new fuzzy blanket that you run your fingers over. You smile sadly when you see a note from Powder tucked into it.
To avoid it for a little longer, you put your clothes on. If you had your way, you’d be right back into some pajamas but Sevika had chosen clothes for you to wear out. A quiet knock from your door comes just in time as you button up your pants.
“Come in.” You call out. You’re surprised to see Powder peek her head into the room. She gives you a small smile, slowly opening the door.
“Hey there, sunshine.” Powder hums, bounding into the room to hug you. You let out a soft grunt as she collides with you and hugs you tightly. There was something about the way she hugged you that made your heart ache. She went to pull away but you held onto her a little tighter, prompting her to hold you. This was the first time someone has held you since Ekko did, and you didn’t realize how much you missed it.
“I wasn’t good enough.” You whimper, everything flooding back to you, “She left me for someone else, Pow.”
“Hey, hey, don’t say that.” Powder grabs your shoulders, a frown on her face, “You were more than good enough for her. It was my sister who wasn’t good enough, and she doesn’t deserve your tears.” She wipes a tear off of your face before resting her forehead against yours. Your eyes flutter shut and you enjoy this moment with her. The smell of gunpowder and paint that you’re used to from her eases your frayed nerves a bit.
“Everyone is in the living room waiting for you… We didn’t want you to be alone anymore, but we knew you weren’t ready to go outside yet. If you want to talk about what happened…?” Powder leaves the question open for you to answer.
“I-I think I should tell everyone… can you give me a minute?” You glance at your bedside table.
“Of course.” Powder gives you a quick hug, “Come out when you’re ready.” She walks out of the room, making sure to pull up the door behind her. You can hear the quiet murmuring of your friends talking in the living room. You take a deep breath and open your bedside drawer, sliding your fingers along the inside ceiling. You feel your fingers bump into what you’re looking for and you pull it out, tucking it into your pocket. You close the drawer and slowly make your way to the living room.
When you turn the corner, you see all of your friends littered around the room. Ekko and Powder were sitting on the couch while Eve and Sevika sat around your dining table. They went quiet when they saw you, but you took the empty seat between Ekko and Powder. Ekko immediately pulled you into his arms and you started bawling all over again. You could feel Power hug you from behind and you felt ashamed to be crying again.
“I’m sorry.” You sniffle, wiping your tears as you pull away, “I’m always crying.”
“Don’t apologize.” They all chorus, making you chuckle.
“Thank you for getting me out of bed, Sevika. And, thank you to all of you for coming to see me or dropping off food. I really appreciate it.” You smile sadly, “I only told Ekko the brief version of what happened, so… I’m going to explain what happened if that’s okay?” You got quiet nods so you took a deep breath to steel yourself.
“Vi and I were together for five years. We’ve had our fair share of arguments like all couples do, all over silly things. But, these past two years we’ve been doing amazing. She treated me so well and I felt so lucky to call her mine. I was thrilled to hear that she was taking over Vander’s position and I took that responsibility with her. I was completely blindsided by her breaking up with me. She… had been cheating on me with Caitlyn Kiramman for months, and I had no clue. Nothing… nothing gave away that she was interested in someone else. So I um… thinking that we were fine…” The tears were back in your eyes, and you tried to blink them away as you pulled the box out of your pocket, “I was- gonna pro- pose.” You choke out as your friends gasp in shock. You open the box with trembling hands to reveal a beautiful diamond ring band. You handed the box to Powder to look at it but mainly so you could try to keep talking without looking at it.
“I asked Vander for help. I didn’t want to get her a plain band. We always joked that she’d be the one with a diamond ring because she secretly loved them. So… I got one custom-made. My plan was to propose on our vacation which would… be this week, actually.” You frown, bringing your knees up to your chest. The two of you had planned a year ago to go whitewater rafting in Ixtal to celebrate your fifth-year anniversary. The realization that it’s supposed to be happening right now made you feel more hollow. Sevika had the ring now, slowly closing the box and placing it on the table.
“Y/n… how much was that ring?” Eve nervously speaks up.
“Ah… just under three thousand.” You fiddle with your pants, finding it more interesting that the looks everyone is probably giving you right now, “I made sure the diamonds were ethically sourced, and they let me hand-pick them myself.”
“Shit.” Ekko sighs, and you burst into tears once more.
“What the fuck is wrong with me? I must’ve- been doing something wrong for her to leave me, right? There has to be something wrong with me.” You whimper through your tears.
“No, no, no, no.” Powder wraps her arms around you, “No there’s nothing wrong with you, pumpkin. No.” At some point, everyone ended up on the couch. You were sitting on Sevika’s lap, sobbing into her shoulder while everyone else comforted you. After that, they coaxed you into eating and spent the rest of the day with you until you got tired. Someone had carried you to bed and you sleepily begged them to stay with you. Everyone ended up staying behind and it turned into this big sleepover that put a small smile on your face.
Your friends stayed at your place for the rest of the week. They went out to get food and clothes to change into, but they stayed with you. Their constant presence helps you regain some of your appetite, so you were able to eat a small meal on your own. Another thing is that Sevika had been unceremoniously accepted into your friend group in the process. You learned that she had been hanging out with the Firelights this past month, and they’ve gotten quite close. She had wanted to talk with you but you were with Vi and she didn’t want to cause problems. But, you welcomed her with open arms. Your friends helped you keep yourself afloat for those few days.
They managed to coax you to leave your apartment for the day. Eventually, you’d have to get back to work, but no one was rushing you. You decided to join your friends at The Last Drop where you knew they’d be hanging out. The original plan was to meet up at the Firelight base, but you needed to make a public appearance. The chatter in the Drop was louder than usual or was it because you haven’t been out in public in weeks? Regardless, you find the booth your friends are hanging out in and head over to them. You were well aware of the talking slowly dying down the further you walked into the bar. You knew it would happen when you showed up, but that didn’t make it hurt any less. You’re Vi’s rejected ex-girlfriend. There would be a moment of silence out of respect for you, but you wished there wouldn’t be. You didn’t want their pity.
“Y/n!” Powder’s gasps when she sees you, everyone else glancing your way when she does. You give a small smile and wave, Eve shoving Ekko aside to make room for you. You slid into the booth, placing your elbows on the table as you let out a long breath. The chatter in the Drop starts back and you’re relieved that the moment is over. You were a horrible girlfriend. You didn’t deserve to have others pity you. It was your fault that Vi left. That she cheated. Why else would she? You weren’t giving her what she needed. That had to be it.
“I thought we agreed to meet at the Grotto?” Ekko gives you a confused look.
“I have to return to the public eye at some point.” You sigh, “Especially when I need to return to work soon. It’s kind of Silco to keep up my paycheck even though I’m not doing anything, but-”
“-Don’t.” Sevika narrows her eyes at you, “If he didn’t care, he wouldn’t be paying you, so I’m stopping you from saying that before you do.”
“Right.” You bite your lip, “Sorry.”
“Anyway!” Powder chirps, “You’ll never guess what the Firelights did this morning!” She starts rambling about a really cool project they had been given by Vander. You found your body relaxing, leaning against Eve, and enjoying yourself. There was something about being in such a social atmosphere that lifted the fog from your mind. The emptiness was there but now it was tucked away as you laughed at Sevika’s joke. You lean back in your seat, eyes darting out over the bar with a wide grin on your face. A grin that vanishes when you catch your ex walking into the bar… with Caitlyn on her arm.
Immediately, all of the joy you had been feeling vanished. A pit forms in your stomach as you watch Caitlyn clutch her arm, but your heart races when you look at Vi. It’s been three weeks since you’ve seen her, and there was something painful about the way your breath caught in your throat. It hurts. It hurts seeing her with someone else, but the love you have for her hurt more. You stare longingly as they approach the bar, Vander coming around to greet them with a forced smile. You watch their conversation, trying to read their lips but that’s not possible. The two women walk to an empty table and settle into the chairs, taking off their heavy coats and draping them over the back. You can’t look away. Not when they hold hands over the table. Not when Vi’s head tilts back with laughter. Not when her gaze looks past Caitlyn’s shoulder and finds yours. ‘Beautiful…’ You think to yourself, feeling the love rise through you but it was quickly squashed by grief. ‘Beautiful… but she’s no longer mine. I ruined it. It’s my fault she’s sitting there with someone else.’ Vi’s gaze moves back to Caitlyn. You’re crying before you know it, and a hand on your shoulder startles you.
“Huh?” You blink when you turn back to your friends. The expression on their faces is of restrained anger.
“It’s time for us to head to the Grotto.” Eve nudges you from the booth, wiping the tears from your face as she stands. She puts her arm over your shoulders, Powder springing over to wrap an arm around your waist. They rush you past Vi’s table, her and Caitlyn glancing your way as they do. You wipe at your face, looking down after you made eye contact with Vi again. You were almost at the door when the bar goes silent and you hear a loud clatter. Your head snaps around at the sound, your body halting when you see Vi on the floor holding up a wrist to her bleeding nose. Ekko was glaring fiercely at her, chest heaving from the anger and he spits at her. The last thing you see is Sevika leading Ekko away from your ex.

That one little event tore your heart apart. You couldn’t get it out of your mind and it wasn’t the only time you were a witness to their affections. It was like she did it in spite of you. To prove to you that she was happier without you. You would become entranced by her, admiring her before you came back down to earth. Vi left you. She wasn’t yours.
A few more weeks go by and you’re tortured by your own mind. Once again, you couldn’t eat, couldn’t sleep, and the little warmth you had been feeling again was gone. Your nights were spent either curled up in bed or on the floor of your bathroom. A particularly dreadful night of nothing but memories about you and Vi had you sitting by the fireplace. The kindling for your fire was the usual wooden logs, but you had tossed in the pictures of you and Vi as well. The little things that Vi had left around your apartment had been shoved into the bottom of your trashcan during one of your meltdowns. You felt like you were on the end of your rope, and your friends were trying hard to help you. Vander had even pulled you aside to talk, offering to take the ring off of your hands but you declined. It was the one thing you couldn’t let go of, along with your love for Vi. She had consumed your life for so long and you couldn’t let it go. You couldn’t let her go, and part of you didn’t want to. She wasn’t your first love, but she was the one that mattered the most.
Your hands shake as you approach the Councilors’ Building for the first time in two months. Silco had filled in your absence by saying that you had been out on different business. The Enforcers standing at the entrance greeted you with their usual smiles and you nod at them as you pass. Everyone who worked at the building greeted you happily, saying that they missed you and hoped you have a nice day. You couldn’t return their smiles, so you only nodded to their words. Someone had asked if you were okay - Elora, Mel’s assistant - and you managed to tell her that you’re alright. She gazed at you for a moment before nodding and escorting you into the meeting room.
You must’ve been a sight. You had to put a bit more makeup on yourself than usual to hide the dark circles under your eyes. Eyeliner in thicker lines to distract from the tired and empty look in your irises. You looked too proper, too put together than what you usually portrayed when you came here. It was your way of hiding that you felt disconnected from your surroundings. That your whole world was crumbling beneath your feet. You had even worn your nicest gown, trying to ignore the fact that it was the one Vi bought you for your recent birthday. It was your favorite color and flattered your figure - purchased from a boutique in Piltover.
“Y/n.” Mel smiles happily when she sees you, “It’s so wonderful to see you!”
“Hello, Mel.” The corner of your lips turns upward, “It’s nice to see you.”
“You’ve been gone for a while.” Cassandra notes, “Your cheerful attitude has been missed. But, I do want to question if you’re alright?” You’re confused for a moment before it clicks. ‘Right… Caitlyn is Cassandra’s daughter and they knew Vi and I were dating. Now her daughter and…’ You swallow, trying to bring moisture back into your throat to respond. You wanted to tell her what happened. You and Cassandra had a very good working relationship, almost as good as you and Mel. A small part of you wondered if she’d reprimand her daughter if she found out about the cheating.
“I’m fine.” You respond, forcing a smile onto your face, “Just tired.” The meeting is called and you’re confused when your chair isn’t in the normal spot. Mel gently guides you to an open chair next to her and you’re disoriented when Vi and Caitlyn sit next to each other. The meeting carries on as usual and Mel fills you in on the side. Then Shoola calls out to Vi and you watch in confusion as she stands. She takes a deep breath, her gaze traveling around the room and hovering on you for a moment.
“The charity Caitlyn and I set up for the orphans in Zaun is progressing as we hoped. With her influence, even people in the upper ring are donating. People are donating clothes, toys, food, and money in higher quantities than we planned. If it continues at the same rate, we’ll be able to upgrade the orphanage by the start of spring.” Vi says proudly, everyone else smiling at the news except for you. In fact, you felt that little piece of rope you’ve been hanging onto snap. Your body went cold.
“What?” The word leaves your lips before you can stop them. All eyes turn to you, “But that… that was our…” Your head starts ringing, the room closing in on you as you feel dizzy. ‘That was our plan. You and I had planned on creating the charity. I thought… I thought…’ You feel like a fool. The feeling only gets worse when you feel a tear run down your face. You’re sitting in front of the most influential people in your cities, crying over your ex-girlfriend. You stand up abruptly, the chair scraping across the tile as your heart beats erratically. ‘She was right to leave me. I don’t have what Caitlyn does. I could never compete with her. Gods, I wish I could just disappear.’
“I-I’ve-” You stumble over your words, choking up before your feet are moving. You hear Mel call out your name, but you’re slamming the doors open without even a glance back. The Enforcers that had been by the doors shout in alarm as you come tearing out of the room. Your heels echo through the halls as you blindly run for the exit, startling people along the way. When you get to the front doors, you nearly crash into someone entering the building but they jump out of your way. Your feet take you all the way to the drop street and you’re gasping for breath as you step onto the conveyor. Your shoes are gone, torn off of your feet at some point, and discarded in a side street.
You feel nothing as you walk home. Your body and mind are too numb to care about the cold snow beneath your feet. Every step you take feels like a chore and you can’t even muster up any joy when you reach your apartment. The last of the heat from your fire greets you as you open the door, chasing away the deep chill that had taken over your body. Mindlessly, you walk into your room and sit on the bed, your head dropping into your hands.
You spent so long being hopelessly in love with Vi. You still were… but that was the problem. Your heart felt like it may never beat again. Vi had taken all of you with her when she left. ‘No one would care if I disappeared. Vi left me because I wasn’t enough. She’s moved on and is happy with someone else… The others are happier without me, too.’ You stand up, taking the ring out of your bedside table and looking down at it. ‘The least I could do is give this to her. It was hers. It is hers.’ You bite your lip and search for a piece of paper and a pen. A letter would be more than enough to tell her how sorry you are for everything, how you wish her happiness with Caitlyn and the charity. You fold up the letter and grab the jacket - Vi’s jacket - that you had found underneath the bed. With a deep breath, you head for The Last Drop, forgetting once again that you’re barefoot.
When you get there, you go straight to the bar where Vander is in the middle of pouring a drink. He acknowledges you and it takes a moment before he’s in front of you, “You good, Y/n?” He says, eyes filled with concern.
“I’m good.” You nod, not bothering to smile, “I found one of Vi’s jacket’s in my apartment and…” You trail off.
“Ah, right.” Vander sighs, “Go ahead and head on back. Would you like anything to drink?”
“No.” You shake your head, “Just here to drop this off.”
“Alright then. If you change your mind, let me know.” Vander gives you a smile. You nod and make your way to the house section of the building. You had been here so many times that you had no trouble finding her room. You pause outside of the door, anxious about going in, but you open it anyway. You have to stop yourself from crying when you do. The room smelled strongly of her cologne and it made you yearn for her. You place her jacket on the bed, neatly putting the note and ring box on top of it. With one last look around her room, you pull the door up behind you and head out. You end up taking a moment to linger, gazing around the building at all of the people enjoying their day. ‘Never change, Zaun. Never change.’ With a sudden thought, you head back over to Vander.
“Changed your mind?” Vander raises an eyebrow.
“No, but uh, can you tell the others that I won’t be seeing them later? Extra liaison business, I’m afraid.” You lie, “That I love them and I’m sorry for missing out on our drinks tonight?”
“Of course.” Vander nods, “Good luck with that stuff. You’ve always been so dedicated to your job. I admire that about you.”
“Thanks, Vander. I appreciate it.” You manage to smile at him before turning… and leaving The Last Drop once and for all.

The wind tugged at your dress as you stared listlessly into the dark waters below you. You know that your makeup is ruined, your tears washing it from your skin as you shake violently. You stopped trying to wipe them away when you reached the observation deck of the Sun Gate. The winter air bites at your skin through your coat and you shrug it off, hearing the heavy thing hit the deck. Nothing could provide you with the warmth that you had so desperately craved, so there was no point in wearing it. ‘Maybe someone who needs it will find it.’
You step over the railing, your hands clenching the freezing metal so tight that your knuckles turn even whiter than they already are. Your skin was as pale as it could be. Your regular skin tone had changed from your lack of sunlight and sleep making you look sickly. From where you stood, you knew that everyone would be better off without you. Vi would be better off without you in the way. The only thing keeping us from being together is my relationship with you. That memory. That single moment in your life had brought you to this point. This moment.
You close your eyes and take a deep breath. ‘I love you. All of you.’ You think, fingers slowly loosening their grip. You hear the sounds of boots pounding against the deck, panicked shouts cutting through the silence.
“MISS! MISS! PLEASE COME BACK ONTO THE DECK!” You turn your head to see a handful of Enforcers looking at you with wide eyes.
“We found her atop the Western Sun Gate.” One of them speaks into their radio.
“Please.” The one from before steps forward, “Please, give me your hand.” You stare at them, feeling nothing. You turn back to look at the water, taking another deep breath as you glance at the Enforcers before you jump. The Enforcers scream as you do. The wind whips your dress around and the next thing you know is that you’re falling. You close your eyes, trying to block out the feeling of tumbling through the air. ‘They’ll be happier. They’ll all be happier.’
Suddenly, you feel hands close around your arms and your eyes snap open. You look up, speechless when you see Ekko and Powder holding onto you. There are tears running down their faces as they slowly stop you from falling, not wanting to accidentally break your arms.
“You can’t do this!” Powder shouts over the wind, “We can’t let you!”
“Our lives would not be better without you!” Ekko shakes his head, “We’d miss you too much! Who do you think holds this group together?!” They start pulling you back up towards the observation deck. You glance back down, heart sinking as you realize what you would’ve done.
“How… How…” You’re confused about how they found you. No one would have known until those Enforcers called you in. But, they wouldn’t have been able to get here that fast after the Enforcer radioed. So, how…?
“Vander told us that you seemed off.” Powder whimpers, “That was right before I found the note you left in Vi’s room when I went looking for my hair tie.” You reach the observation deck and you’re startled to see a small crowd waiting for you there. Sevika helps them pull you back onto the deck, but she doesn’t let go of you. Her and Eve work together to wrap you up in a blanket, making sure you’re not trembling anymore. Sevika effortlessly lifts you off of the floor and cradles you against her chest.
“I didn’t think we’d make it in time.” Ekko wipes the tears from his face, smudging his face paint, “I used my Zero Drive so we could. I-I-I can’t lose you, Y/n/n!” He stutters while wringing his hands, clearly distraught. You’re surprised by how upset everyone seems to be. You genuinely thought they’d be happy about you disappearing.
“We can’t lose you.” Sevika mutters, making you look at her, “We love you, Y/n. You’re our best friend. I have only been friends with you for such a short time but I care about you. Don’t you dare disappear on me now.” Your eyes widen when you see that she’s been crying.
“We love you more than you realize.” Eve says softly, leading the way to the elevator, “I know it hurts, and I can’t begin to imagine what you’re going through… but we’re here for you.” Those words trigger some part of your brain and you’re crying again. Your little group crowds into the elevator and you find your mind lifting from the fog it’s been in. ‘I jumped. I-I seriously jumped. If it wasn’t for Ekko’s Zero Drive I could be…’
“Exactly. My sister made that decision on her own. You weren’t the reason she did it, but I know it’s going to take time to realize that.” Powder sighs, “But, we’ll be there every step of the way.”
“You’re living with me.” Ekko crosses his arms, “I was going to ask you today, but now I’m not asking. You need support and you’re not able to get that on your own right now.”
“You’re right.” You whisper, feeling miserable that you would’ve put them through so much grief, “I’m sorry, guys.”
“Don’t apologize. Seriously.” Eve shakes her head, “Heartbreak like this isn’t something to overlook.” The elevator doors open and you’re greeted by Piltover’s Crisis Team and Grayson, “You need to lean on us, and we’ll be there.”
You were taken to Piltover’s care center where they ran a bunch of tests on you and got you under some heated blankets. You hadn’t even realized that you were still cold when Sevika was carrying you. They got you hooked up to a bunch of machines and started an IV line for you.
It took some time for the shaking to stop, but they were constantly checking your temperature and being very attentive. A psychiatrist had come in to talk to you about everything before leaving to meet up with Ekko. Since he was the person on your emergency forms, he’d be the one handling things.
You were visited by more people than you thought. Mel and Cassandra had come rushing to the hospital to see you. Both of them brought you flowers and said some heartfelt words that touched you. They didn’t know the extent of the issue, but they reassured you that they were here for you. Grayson had popped in to talk and you thanked her for what she did. She told you that while it was her job, you were a good friend of hers and it pained her to lose you. More people stopped by with Vander being the one who spent the most time with you.
“She’s going to have to stay here for a little while. Only until we get her vitals back to normal. She’s quite low on a lot of key minerals her body needs. Since she’s living with you, there’s no need to detain her here for observation past that.” You hear the doctor talking with Ekko in the background.
“You nearly gave me a heart attack, Y/n/n.” Vander sighs, smoothing down his beard, “When Powder screamed at me to contact Grayson, I feared the worst.”
“I’m sorry, Vander.” You frown, “Things have been… so hard. You know how much I love Vi and to see…”
“I know, lass.” Vander pats your arm, “I know.”
“Do you think she…will see the note?”
“Powder left it on her bed. She said that while you’re okay, Vi needs to understand what she’s done. And, I agree with her.” Vander crosses his arms, “She might come here looking for you… Would you want to see her?”
“…I’d like to talk to her. Yeah.” You nod after thinking for a bit, “The closure might help me move on.”
“I’ll let your bodyguards know.” Vander says as he stands.
“Bodyguards?” You furrow your brow.
“Do you really think Powder and Sevika left you?” Vander raises an eyebrow, “I heard they’re planning on sleeping outside your door.” He chuckles.
“Oh.” You blink. Vander flashes you an amused smile before he exits the room. You spend some time to yourself, thinking over the events of the day. Everyone thought you’d be upset that they stopped you, but you felt oddly okay. You weren’t upset, just tired. Very tired. Even though Vi cheated on you, even though you were heartbroken… you still loved her. Maybe that will change as time passes, but for now you have to work through your feelings. All of the people who showed up to support you helped put things into perspective. If they didn’t care about you enough to do what they did… you wouldn’t be here right now.
Your room door opens and your friends come flooding into the room. Ekko’s holding a tray of food in his hands and Eve helps him set it up for you. After being in the cold for so long, your body was weak so you’d have to try and get something into you. It was just a bowl of soup, but knowing the hospital it was packed with everything you’d need.
“Chicken and rice soup.” Ekko says when he catches you staring at it, “Do you… need one of us to help you eat?”
“…Please?” You whisper, cheeks flushing in embarrassment. They took turns helping you eat while filling the silence with jokes and funny stories. When you finished eating the topic ended back on what happened today, and it was a very emotional conversation. You realized that as long as you have your friends, you’ll be able to get through this no matter how long it takes. They’ve seen you at your lowest, literally lifting you out of a decision that would’ve changed everything… and they’re still here by your side. And that… that puts a smile back on your face.
“Oh! Y/n! Did I tell you that the Firelights covered Undesirable with paint and I covered them with glitter?” Powder chirps randomly making your eyes widen.
“You… what?” You blink, an amused smile tugging on your lips.
“We cornered them and covered them in paint with a glitter surprise.” Ekko snickers.
“And Sevika beat her up afterwards.” Eve smirks, “It wasn’t planned but it happened the same day.”
“You didn’t!” You gasp, head snapping to Sevika.
“I did.” Sevika shrugs, “She couldn’t walk correctly for a week.”
“I- …Thank you?” You question unsurely.
“You’re welcome.” They chorus. Yeah… your friends will help you get through this.

jinx ask if you can, Jinx with a s/o who's basically a total angel to her. tries to cheer her up, patch her up, and just be someone she doesn't have to be afraid around and just be super supportive even when she's having a episode.
Until a day comes when they have their own breakdown and tearfully admit they understand her and try to help her because they've been through the exact same stuff and know what it's like, only they didn't have anyone to help them like she has with silco and doesn't want her to deal with that pain alone.
Oh Jinx!!! Honestly she deserves all good things!
Tumblr media
Jinx hasn’t seen you all day and was growing more and more panicked by the second. She had searched every inch of this city and below and still no luck.
Heading back to her usual hideout, dejected and defeated, she hears sniffling coming from one of the corners. Nearing closer, she sees your huddled figure.
“Y/n…what’s wrong?? Where were you?? I thought you left me!! And—!” She starts to quiet down a bit when you lift your head, red eyes and all.
Noting you wiping tears from your eyes, she’s staring wide-eyed at you. Are you hurt? Did someone do something? Say something?
Rushing over to you, Jinx makes herself comfortable in checking you over while unleashing her barrage of questions, you manage a dry laugh.
“All this time I’ve helped you, even when you’ve had Silco, I forgot about myself. I’m such a fool.” It dawns on her that you’ve been in her place before, but at least she had a caretaker. You were alone.
You feel an awkward side hug from her, and while it’s a small appreciation, you can’t help but let your tears flow more.
In all her hyperactivity and antics that you help her with, while keeping her out of some trouble, there was no one there for you. Not truly.
You let yourself grieve what wasn’t for you, but also finding comfort in the fact that at least you weren’t alone now

Someone Better | Jinx x Reader
Tumblr media
╰┈➤  PLOT: Jinx knows she isn’t the easiest to deal with. She’s been told that multiple times in her life. Sometimes, it’s hard to believe anyone can love her. All of her. The days when her thoughts consume her whole are the hardest, but you remind her, you are always there to reassure her.
╰┈➤  WARNINGS: Sad Jinx, Gender-Neutral Reader, Reverse Comfort, Kisses, Use Of The Word ‘Baby’, Not Proofread
⍣ ೋ Enjoy!⍣ ೋ
Tumblr media
Usually, Jinx can push the self-depreciating thoughts away. She can distract herself with tinkering or maybe upgrading an old weapon she made. Sometimes she can talk to the voices in her head and other times she can create a false reality in her head to escape. But this time was different.
This time, the thoughts were bugging her about her partner. In specifics, how happy they were with her.
Jinx isn’t the best person morally and that can be hard to deal with. Wouldn’t her partner be their happiest with someone easy? Someone tame? Someone who wasn’t like her at all?
Laid across her table, Jinx eyed the scribbles on the dark material. She had one arm laid out on the table and her other hand on top to support her head. Typically, her mind would be buzzing. Constantly.
A song would pop up, she would get new invention ideas, or even random thoughts about people she hasn’t seen in years. But there was nothing there. Nothing floating around. It was almost as if her brain shut itself off.
“Jinx~!” Her partner called out. “I got some food and even some paint and these cool markers you can use on your stuff!” Their eager voice echoed throughout the empty and tall room.
Jinx had no reply. No movement.
“Jinx...?” Her partner called out again in a softer tone. Their shoes clicked and clacked on the flooring; their steps soft, steady, and gaining in proximity. Y/n placed down the bag filled with food and random craft supplies on the table. “You’re quiet. You’re never quiet when I get home.” Y/n pulls a chair over and sits in it. “Tell me what’s wrong, baby.”
Y/n began to rub Jinx’s back with a comforting touch. They’re careful not to rub or brush over the bruises Jinx gained a few days ago from a failed experiment. The aftermath was a crumbled building and Jinx rolling through the rubble. Jinx was sore for days and couldn’t do what she wanted. She was lucky Y/n was there to comfort her.
Jinx opened her mouth to talk. She could feel her vocal chords wanting to say something, but nothing was coming out. She closed her mouth defeated. Y/n frowns a little, but continued to rub Jinx’s back. “Hey, it’s okay. Tell me when you’re ready.”
“Ready” didn’t come till hours later. You two already ate and were drawing on her table in silence. You guys didn’t talk while drawing, and in fact, you guys didn’t talk at all. Well, had a two-sided verbal conversation at least.
You would talk to her and she would reply with a nod or a shrug. With only relying on her body language, it was hard to figure out what was bothering her, but at least you got her to eat!
“Are you happy?” Jinx asked suddenly as she scribbled a neon blue on a blueprint.
“What?”
“Are you happy?” Jinx repeated. “With me.”
“Of course I’m happy with you!” Y/n capped their marker and turned their chair to face Jinx. “Why wouldn’t I be?”
“Because I’m different. I scribble on my inventions, I live in a place like this.” She flails her arms around as she spins around in her chair. “I just think you’d be better with someone else. Someone normal?”
Y/n frowned. They pull their chair closer to their girlfriend and hold her hand. “Someone normal? Baby, what are you talking about? You’re the one for me, you know this.”
As Y/n rubbed Jinx’s knuckles, she sighed. “I just feel like I’m dragging you along... like, you have to deal with me and my abnormal self.”
Y/n sighed. “Jinx, your ‘abnormal self’ is the self I fell in love with. I love how unique you are. How you’re unapologetically yourself. I don’t care about the craziness you encounter sometimes or the mishaps you make with your experimental weapons.” Y/n paused to kiss Jinx’s hand. “Don’t think otherwise. I’m extremely happy to be with you; joyous.”
“You mean that?” Jinx’s bright blue eyes were dilated and rounder than usual. Her eyes had a glossy finish, like a ridiculously expensive baby doll. Y/n could just melt looking into her eyes. They wanted to hold and kiss her forever.
“Yes, baby. I mean that.” They place a hand on Jinx’s thigh and kiss her forehead. “How about we cuddle and nap together? Let those thoughts slip away forever.”
Jinx smiles, the first smile Y/n’s seen in hours. “I’d love that.”
Both Y/n and Jinx giggle as they make way towards Jinx’s bed. They jump onto her bed, swinging and laughing. They hold onto the suspenders to steady the floating bed before laying on their backs.
Y/n intertwined their fingers with Jinx’s, feeling her cold hands in theirs. Jinx turned toward Y/n and poke at their stomach. “The food you brought was scrumptious, lemon pie.”
Y/n laughed. “Thanks, Jinx... stop poking at my stomach!” They pushed her hand away.
“Whyyyyyy?” She whined with a pout. Every part of Y/n’s body was Jinx’s favorite, but, if Jinx had to choose one part (that wasn’t naughty), it would most definitely be their stomach. It’s the perfect spot to put her head on, to give soft touches to when they aren’t feeling well, and it was especially beautiful when they rose their arms and exposed the delicate skin. It was something short of enticing to Jinx.
“Becauseeee I said so.” Y/n kissed Jinx’s nose with a satisfied hum.
Jinx huffed but obeyed nonetheless.
Y/n laughed again and pulled the shorter girl closer to them. Her head on their chest and the hand that wasn’t holding hers around her body. As they rubbed the small of her back, Y/n hummed. “I love you.”
Jinx closed her eyes and gives Y/n’s hand a squeeze.
“I love you too, pinochle.”

brand new city.
[yandere] jinx has a chat with you after you went somewhere off-limits. reader: neutral as always cw: intimidation, possessiveness, threats, established toxic relationship, manipulation. (obv kami is not a character in arcane but in all honesty, i didn't know who would fit with this.) also this is unedited and just me simping for unhealthy things (some things never change.) it may be unpolished but i hope you enjoy it <33
Tumblr media
the door clicked closed. you breathed a quiet sigh.
"hey, toots. where were ya?"
you jumped at the sound of the familiar voice, hand clutching your heart. "j-jeez! you scared me, jinx...!" you laughed, quietly, trying to diffuse the stifling tension in the air. but her wide eyes remained glued on you, and you found yourself unable to meet her gaze.
"you didn't answer my question."
"..because you wouldn't like the answer."
you could feel her eyes scrutinize your entire being, your soul. you could feel the sneer forming on her lips, mixing with a scowl. "why wouldn't i like the answer, [y/n]?" she sounded angry, speaking through gritted teeth. but she didn't touch you. maybe she knew you were scared, though that never really stopped her before. she just felt regretful afterward.
"i went downtown to pick something up from kami."
"kami?! are you kidding?! i told you to stay away from her! i don't trust her and she's never up to any good! c'mon, you're better than this!" jinx began to pace back and forth, heavy heels thudding into the ground. you winced when she started yelling, but that didn't stop her.
"you're usually so good at doing what i say. what made that change? huh? what did she say- did she do something to you?" jinx grasped your jaw with her hand, though in no way was it a soft gesture. you were forced to look at her and, try as you might, you couldn't look away. you couldn't budge at all. "answer me. now. i need an answer, sweets. i need to know who i need to hurt." her voice turned into a coo. the tone was sickeningly saccharine, and the words made you numbly terrified.
"s-she didn't say anything to me. you don't need to hurt her."
"don't protect her, damnit!" her iron grip tightened when you tried to pull your head away. her nails dug into your skin, a weak whimper escaping your throat.
"stay still, toots. i love you, i don't wanna hurt you, but i need answers." jinx's voice lost that purring quality. "and if you don't tell them to me, i'll have to do things neither of us would enjoy. alright? i don't wanna have'ta do that. i don't wanna."
"i don't want you to either."
"good, we're at an understanding." her grip loosened slightly. enough for the ache to go away, but enough for it to still hurt. you weren't going to try anything. when jinx spoke like this, you didn't want to be the one on the other side of her anger.
"so are ya gonna speak? hm?"
"i-i didn't want to go to her at first. i just went to the shop to pick up some books. and she was there and wouldn't- wouldn't let me talk to anyone else." you explained as quickly and succinctly as you could, not even sounding like yourself. jinx's grip on your jaw made it difficult to move your teeth in accordance with your words. she glared daggers into your eyes, glancing over your face for any signs of deception. when she found none, her gaze softened slightly.
"why didn't you just leave, toots? kami isn't good. not good enough for you. she shouldn't be able to talk to you, look at you, breathe whenever you're around her. you could've left."
under any other circumstances your gaze would have dropped in embarrassment. at this point, however, you knew what would happen. "t-the books were important for our work and nowhere else had them. i-i checked everywhere, jinx, i did. she... wouldn't let me leave anyway."
your voice quivered.
jinx's eyebrows twitched, almost furrowing, her eyes almost showing worry for the quality of your voice. almost. almost. she let out a quick, sharp breath through her nose, nodding slightly.
"you know better from now on, don't you? hm? i know you don't like hurting people, but sometimes you have to. that is an example of when you should, darling. i may just have to walk with you everywhere, toots. since apparently i can't trust the world enough. but you... you know now."
you nodded quickly. as quickly as you could, at least.
jinx smiled slightly. it disappeared for a moment, a temporary scowl, before coming back again. "there's my [y/n]."
she let go of your jaw, spying the deep indents her nails had left on your cheeks. the pain was sharp and aching at the same time, and you covered the areas with your hand, squeezing your eyes shut.
"oh. oh, sweets, c'mere," jinx opened her arms to you, and you embraced her. she hugged you tightly, rubbing your back with her hand. "you're so good, baby. tellin' the truth isn't always easy. i'm so proud of you." her voice changed so drastically within just those words. from cold and stern to warm, loving, the jinx you had liked for... ever. the jinx who didn't even need to look at you to know what you were feeling.
"don't cry, toots! you did the right thing, i promise! you always do. i'm gonna have to pay kami a little visit, but then, i won't leave you alone all night, okay? anythin' ya want." you nodded slightly, trying to ignore the little sniffles you made, out of pain and fear. her hug still gave you such comfort, even when she had been the cause of both.
"i like... this. can we just stay like this?" your voice was soft. the aching in your cheeks lessened, and your now free hand rested on her shoulder.
"aww, sweets. of course we can! we can cuddle all night if ya want. i'm just gonna need'da step out for a few minutes, you can get all comfy and cozy, or dive into those books." jinx cupped your cheeks, and the remaining pain just seemed to disappear. her bright eyes brought you comfort when, to anyone else, they would've brought fear. "i'll be back in the blink of an eye. m'kay?"
you smiled, nodding. you didn't dare to think about what jinx would do to kami.
"oh, your smile, toots!" jinx kissed you, lingering in it for a moment. you returned it, of course. "i love ya, alright? forever and ever!"
"i love you too."
"of course you do!" she kissed you again, before peppering kisses over your forehead and cheeks. they were softer, more tender over the puffy indents her nails left, over the reddened areas her fingers had applied so much pressure. "i'm so sorry, darl. i promise, i'll make it up to you. you acted so well and told me the truth, i can't help but feel a little bad. i'll make it up to ya once i get back." jinx gave you a bright smile that didn't reach her eyes.
"it's okay, love, i know it was necessary," you responded softly. mostly because opening your mouth too wide stung.
"how did i get such an angel like you...?" jinx mumbled to herself, tilting her head at you, like she was examining a piece of fine art. she hugged you tight one last time before pulling away, a hard kiss to your head before she was gone, and you were alone.

𝐇𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝 {𝐒𝐢𝐥𝐜𝐨 𝐱 𝐅!𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫}
Tumblr media
Warning: the reader is an adult!! around the 30s (I'm sorry!!), kidnapping, blood, injury, heartbreak, swearing kinda angsty but fluff at the end, slight mention of smoking, kissing, nothing is happening btw Vander and Silco (I'm sorry again) and the reader is a mother figure to Jinx and Vi<3...
Okay I wrote this out of nowhere, it's shit but hey I am in love with Silco and Arcane is one of my fav show, so I'm sorry cause this is shitty asf :/
Tumblr media
She was Silco's right hand, he needs someone to be tracked? she was there, needs some information? she's there so is Jinx.
She was very hyperactive and a tough woman who can be very dangerous and would do anything for something she wants and loves, walking inside Vander's bar she grinned immediately hearing everyone go quiet, "oh come on~ am I not allowed to have one drink?" she chuckled before sitting on one of the chairs.
Vander raised an eyebrow walking towards the woman who sighed heavily and threw her head on the table, "what happened again?" he asked handing her the best strong drink for a moment like this, she took a sip, "he is calling me a friend once again, I'm tired of getting friend zoned, Vander!" she exclaimed chugging the drink in one go.
Wincing at the burning and cold drink rushing down her throat.
Vi suddenly walked in with her arms wrapped around Jinx's neck, the girls frowned and made their way towards her, "Damn, you look.. fucked up." spoke Vi sliding down another drink towards her, Y/N took it and held the glass watching as the drink danced with each move, "shut up pinky." she spoke.
"Silco brushed her off once again." whispered Jinx to her sister who raised an eyebrow, "he didn't brush me off- he just.. needed some time alone. he has enemies everywhere."
Vi looked at Vander who only shrugged in response, the H/C-haired woman looked at her glass before getting up with a sigh, "guess I'm just being ridiculous, that's all." she said with a scoff before handing the man the money who shook his head and pushed her hand away, "it's okay, you just go home and rest." smiling softly she walked away lazily.
Jinx ran to stand beside her watching as she stopped dead in her track and look at the blue-haired girl, "what are you doing?" she asked the girl who rolled her eyes, "we live together, duh~" replied Jinx sarcastically, "I know that, but I told you that you're staying with your sister, didn't I?" said the woman with a cocked eyebrow watching as Jinx's eyes slightly widened happily, "really?" she asked not quite sure about what she just heard.
"do you want me to change my mind?" Jinx shook her head hurriedly, "good. see ya soon, kid." ruffling the young girl's hair she watched as she smile brightly before throwing herself on her, taken back by the sudden hug she wrapped her arms around her waist slightly.
"Okay, thanks Y/N, love ya!" with that she ran towards her sister who gave her a thankful nod, Y/N waved them off lazily before replying, "yeah yeah, you are a pain in the ass sometimes but I love ya too." with that she walked out of the bar.
Vi turned to look at Vander for the third time who was staring at the door with a frown, "it's like something happened that made her so mad or something..." she said, "she has been really tired these days." Vander replied, Vi was always close to Y/N, she was like an older sister o her and a mother figure to Jinx, and both the girls loved her with their entire hearts.
Y/N spent the night drinking, dancing around, cleaning her weapons, and zoning off and staring at the ceiling, did he really not once notice her feelings for him? sighing she threw herself on the bed staring at the multicolor drawings Jinx did on her ceiling and all around the place, mostly skulls.
****
Silco expected her this morning in his office just like she always does but she was nowhere to be seen, Y/N was always there the moment the sun comes up, sneaking in by the window and sitting on his chair or his desk, the way she would appear saying "hello there boss~" every morning in a childish and with the most beautiful grin made him feel warm inside.
But today, no singsong "hello there boss" or her hanging up in the rafters in the ceiling just like she always does with Jinx, their special spot in his office.
Just emptiness, pure silence not one thing could be heard, he frowned looking up and around, but nothing.
It was terrifying.
what he did notice for the next hours was the way his ears would start ringing randomly and out of nowhere, the silence was way too scary and painful, and he despised it.
He got up grabbed his coat and walked towards the door calling for his men, "look for, Y/N." he ordered coldly, it has been 6 hours and she didn't once show up, and worry started eating him alive, what if something happened to her? what if she's dying? or worse, what if she's dead?
The last time he saw her, both of them got into an argument leading him to call her a no-one and that she only works for him, and seeing her expression full of nothing but pain and shock made his heart drop but before he could even apologize, she walked away in rage with a clenched jaw and bawled fists by her side ignoring his calls.
And the thought of her probably dead disturbed him and haunted him.
That was the last thing he ever thought would happen.
2 DAYS:
It has been 48 hours since the disappearance of the woman, his men looked everywhere for her, he looked in every spot she liked and went to a lot, Vi and Jinx were also looking for her.
Nothing.
No one dared to speak to their boss, he was way too angry and the last thing they want was to die in the hands of Silco, the eye of Zaun. Jinx shed some tears and looked everywhere, especially the spots where both mostly hung out together, their secret ones, Vi was worried sick and asked Ekko for help.
Here sat Silco in the middle of the night with his head in his hands, rage overtook him like hellfire, he missed her, he couldn't sleep for 3 whole days, the days she went missing and the night they fought, he missed her so fucking much, her laughter, her smile, her taking care of him, taking his cigar and throwing it out with a harsh glare, her kisses on his cheek, her injecting his medicine while sitting on his lap, her voice.
Her. her. her.
he needed her, he wanted her.
He clenched his jaw trying to fight the urge of punching someone, himself mostly, the silence was suddenly cut off by the sound of the window behind his chair opening, he turned around expecting it to be Jinx but his eyes widened.
There she stood stumbling inside the room with raspy breathes and painful winces as she held her side, her H/C hair messy, her hands bloody as she clenched her side with tears covering her eyes, her hair covering her face but he could see blood splattered all over her face, she looked fucked up.
"hello there boss..." she greeted between gasps trying to catch her breath and that was the only thing she needed to say before he pulled her to his embrace, tightly hugging her.
She froze, he did not just hug her, she must be dreaming right? the familiar scent of rich leather and tobacco scent brainwashed her as she immediately reddened, eyes watering.
Even with her body aching everywhere she hugged back melting against his hold, letting the tears finally race down her cheeks as she stepped closer, nuzzling in his arms and shakingly wrapping her arms tighter around his waist.
"I thought you died, oh my love." he sighed wiping her tears and kissing her forehead lovingly, "let's get you cleaned up, yeah?" but she didn't move instead just reached up to cup his cheek, her thumb brushing over his scar softly, "I thought I lost you.."
the sound of her voice full of pain was as if someone was stabbing him repeatedly in the heart, "you won't lose me, I will always be there for you, now come on sweetheart, let's get you cleaned up?" she nodded, her head was spinning as she suddenly grabbed his arm trying not to trip.
His hand immediately went to wrap around her waist as he immediately picked her up like a bride, she was losing consciousness, "stay awake from me, Y/N. stay awake." he ordered watching as she chuckled trying not to fall asleep cause who knows if she might never wake up.
"ordering me around when I'm dying, wow.." she spoke looking up at him with half-awake eyes, "you know, you have very attractive eyes..." Silco scoffed with a small laugh, "you sound drunk." he placed her on the couch and immediately got rid of her top ignoring how soft her skin looked.
"We gotta stitch it up..." he said grabbing the supplies, she winced and gestured for him to just get it over with, after cleaning the wound and needle he pressed it on her wound making her cry out in pain, her fingers scratched against the couch as she tried to grab hold of it, her hand on her mouth to stop herself from screaming.
Once he finished she gasped for breaths, wrapping the bandage around her waist he got up, cleaning his hands before helping her up she leaned against him and walked trying not to wince with each move. Silco sat on his chair and gestured her to sit on his lap, she did as told, her legs hanging off the arm and her head on the manchette.
Feeling his fingers run through her hair she sighed softly letting her eyes close, his other hand was running up and down her thigh, "who did this to you?" he asked watching as she opened her eyes staring into his, "doesn't matter anymore, I killed them all."
"Who fucking is it?"
"that guy who wanted to take your spot." she replied hand reaching up to brush the few strands that fell in front of his eyes before cupping his cheek, feeling him lean a little bit, "you have such beautiful eyes..." with that she closed her eyes once again.
No one ever called him beautiful, not with heavy scarring on the left side of his face and a left eye with an orange iris and black sclera, "darling? would you mind?" he asked the woman handing her the syringe for his eye which mostly looked like a needle gun, it's a micro-dosing shimmer to heal it or at least stabilize it which she hated.
Strengthening her posture she sat on his lap, his hand on her waist as she got the syringe ready, "you ready?" she asked softly watching as he nodded throwing his head back, his other hand sliding to her thigh, counting in a whisper she injected it watching as he grunted and pain and tightened his grip on her thigh making her grab his cheek softly.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry."
He looked deep into her eyes panting heavily and without a thought, he pressed his lips against hers making her gasp and freeze in place. her lips were so soft and perfect against his just as he was about to pull away she chased his lips once again.
He leaned more against the chair relaxing, she was here with him, and he can finally rest, she pulled away and went back to the way she was before, his hand on her H/C hair and the other checking other wounds.
"I'm alright, you can rest." with that, she closed her eyes letting the sleep consume her after 48 hours of being kidnapped and treated like shit, she was finally resting on her so-called boss's lap who was supposed to be her lover after their kiss.

- “ALL GOOD THINGS MUST COME TO AN END.”

You and Sevika worked together under Silco for years. As time grew, so did your bond between one another. From small glances at meetings, to Sevika offering her cloak whenever you needed it more than her, to Sevika bringing you on dates, to Sevika bringing you home with her. It was all fun. It always has been. Though, as they say, nothing lasts forever. A few minutes before your date with Sevika, Silco called Sevika in. Sevika told you to wait for her at Jericho’s meanwhile she takes care of some things. With a nod, you left and went to Jericho’s without any other thought. Boy was that a mistake.
When Sevika went into Silco’s office, Silco had told her to lock the door behind her, to which she did. With a cigar in his hand, Silco spoke; “Thank you for arriving on such short notice.” Sevika simply hummed. “What’s this all about?” Sevika questioned as she sat down. She was a little bit impatient, as she wanted to go on a date with you as soon as possible, but Silco was being a hold-up. With a sigh, Silco turned his chair around to face Sevika. “Them.” Silco simply said as he pulled up your file. Sevika reached over to grab it, to see it was you. She didn’t necessarily like where this was going, for good reason. Though, she kept her mouth shut. “They’re a problem.” Silco informed Sevika, his eyes narrowed as he taps his cigar on the desk.
Rightfully so, Sevika got upset, as she put the file down. “How’s that so?” Sevika asked, practically glaring Silco down, though, he didn’t falter. “They’re deadweight. They have done nothing practical. Either way, they’re rebelling.” Silco tells Sevika straight up, which gets her more pissed than she would like to have admitted. It was true, after Jinx’s stunts and Silco’s lack of action, you started to agree with Finn. Even with Silco’s punishment, you still stood with Finn, much to Sevika’s dismay. “They’re aren’t useless. They have done a lot over these shitty years. You act as if Finn isn’t the one to blame either.” Sevika tells Silco, clearly furious. Silco shook his head as he leaned back against his chair. “He won’t be a problem for long. For now, I need them gone.” Silco ordered. Sevika wasn’t taking any of this, as it made her sick to her stomach.
“..I’m not doing that shit.” Sevika retorts, her fists in a ball. “That wasn’t a request, Sevika.” Silco told her, his gaze hardened. “If you don’t, I’ll just let Ran take care of such matters.” Silco said as he sat up, but Sevika immediately got in his way. “No! I’ll..” Sevika yelled out before sighing, looking down at the ground, still furious. But if you had to go down, she wanted to be the one who does it. “I’ll get it done.” Sevika finally mumbled, not bothering to look at the man before her. Silco hummed as he sat back down. “Good. Now leave.” Silco demanded coldly, to which Sevika stomped out of his office, slamming the door behind her. She had to prevent herself from doing something stupid, so she took a few deep breaths and stomped over to Jericho’s, heading over to your date.
After a while, there you were, talking with Jericho before noticing Sevika. You told Jericho to hold on before getting up from the stool and heading over to Sevika. “Hey! What took you so long! Was Silco eating at you or something?” You asked jokingly as you walked Sevika to a stool next to yours. Sevika already felt guilty enough, but she tried to be subtle about it. “That’s one way to put it.” Sevika replied, forcing a half-assed chuckle, though, you just thought she was annoyed after it all. Soon, you two sat down together and ordered your meals. As the date went on, everything was fine; well, for you anyway. This whole time Sevika was thinking ‘why? How?’ Sometimes you even had to make her snap out of her thoughts because she spaced out.
Later on, you and Sevika finally payed for your food and drinks before heading off. During the whole date, Sevika had a plan and decided to bring it to action. Soon, Sevika held your hand and dragged you to an alleyway. “Why are we going this way? Home is on the right” You asked Sevika. Sevika didn’t reply. All she did was hug you. “I’m sorry.” Sevika mumbled, her eyes closed as she held you tight. You were really confused now. “For what, Sev.?” You asked once more, looking up at Sevika. “This.”
Was all Sevika said before she unsheathed her blade from her knuckles in her mechanical arm and stabbed you in the abdomen. This whole time, Sevika held you close. You gasped into her, holding onto her. As you embraced the pain from being impaled, Sevika muttered “I’m sorry” once again. “I’m sorry we couldn’t last.” Sevika whispered, getting teary eyed. “I love you..” was the last thing you heard from Sevika before you had your final breath, closing your eyes and slipping away from her. Once you had gone cold, Sevika held onto you for a little longer, a few tears slipping down.
As they say, everything is temporary.

warning: nothing like some soul crushing angst
pairing: jinx x fem reader
a/n: i apologize for how long this took me, i began it a little while ago but it’s been hard trying to find time to write— nevertheless thank you for the request :)

she wasn’t there, maybe in body but not mind—and if jinx tried hard enough she could nearly convince herself of it. she searched for indications of reality, anything that clearly solidified her presence at that moment in time. the pale, cold hands draped at the sides of her thighs, and the frenzied strands of blue that clung to her forehead were indeed hers— but they didn’t feel like it. she couldn’t truly register anything, not the tension that pervaded the atmosphere like dozens of rabid dogs, or the hushed sobs that fell from your lips mere inches away. frankly, the only thing jinx was truly certain of was that she was angry and it rarely, if ever, panned out well.
she detested it— losing control. it was palpable, relentlessly ringing in her ears and simultaneously draining out all else. heat rose in her cheeks dousing them in a fiery crimson shade. the searing warmth spread to all parts of her body, manifesting itself in words, each laced with untamed malice that spilled from her tongue. jinx could register them, one by one they slipped from her mouth— wrapped in more fervor than the next. the emotions were blinding, clashing, and contradicting with every turn. distorted images of your face, fatigued and demoralized crept into the corners of her vision, practically tormenting her.
despite it all you reached for her, desperately trying to reel your girlfriend back in. you cupped her face in your hands, rubbing your thumb along the soft skin as you suppressed your own tears. she wanted to stop, every bone in her trembling body urged her to— but the words were coming out faster than she could fathom.
“it’s all your fucking fault.” the phrase stung, burning red and hot like the corners of jinx’s eyes. eventually branding a bottomless black hole into the center of your heart. her eyelids twitched from the lack of restraint that swarmed her, and it went against every fiber of her being.
these weren’t her words.
“you don’t mean that,” you shook your head furiously, “i know you don’t— please just talk to me.” against your better judgment you succumbed to the scorching tears that burned the rims of your eyes, leaving them stained and scarlet red. you clung to her, pressing the palms of your hands to her face. the numbness set in, locking your fingers into place in spite of your adamance to keep them there.
she refused to look at you, and when she did it was paralyzing and distant. even the slightest glare sent shivers up your spine and it wasn’t something you’d experienced before. it was uncertainty. amplified by the notion that the person you loved was utterly unrecognizable.
“jinx look at me…. don’t do this,” your voice was small and meager in comparison to her presence. jinx stood bold and firm— even in her weakest moments. but you? you mirrored that of a mouse. a tiny, trembling rodent— one that cowered in the shadow of the very person that claimed to love you. your relationship hadn’t begun this way, and neither of you could have foreseen it spiraling like this.
but now that you’re here?
there was no reversing it.
jinx reached for your hands, cupping her palms over them. the contact was cold and distant but it sparked an ounce of hope inside you. her eyes flickered up, normally they were a deep, infectious cerulean blue. the very things that seemed to calm you, even in the most heated arguments. however this time it was different— they were different. her pupils were dilated, surrounded by an icy sapphire haze that penetrated you. her gaze diminished any semblance of hope or comfort from arising. rather it was replaced by anguish and a deep-rooted sense of melancholy that you feared— the two of you would never come back from this.
she closed the gap between you two, easing your fingers from her face. budding tension filled the air making it even more difficult to take a breath. rapidly your heart pounded against your chest, pumping with even more force as jinx smiled— the corners of her lips pulling into a menacing grin narrowly disguising the sorrow underneath it.
her lips brushed along the top of your ear as she leaned forward whispering, “i never wanna see you again.”
your knees buckled under the weight of your body. it became taxing to stand upright and you were sure if it wasn’t for jinx's body against yours, you would’ve collapsed. she spoke with such anger like it had been stirring inside of her forever, searing its way through and clawing at her sanity. jinx’s skin felt foreign, she almost didn’t recognize it herself. she was being carved out from the inside, into the shell of a dry husk plagued by bitterness and regret. at that moment there wasn’t enough fight left in her to stop herself from uttering the very words that would deliver the final blow to your bittersweet relationship.
“you’re dead to me.”
she unraveled her hands from yours putting as much distance between the two of you as possible. tears stained her cheeks but she had no shame in letting them fall. in a way she was grateful for them— they obscured her vision. preventing her from truly being able to see the damage she’d done. before her you morphed into a faceless figure, frozen into place. your mind was set ablaze with memories of you and jinx burning at the forefront. desperately you wanted to cling to them, scarring yourself in the process. but there was nothing to salvage.
there was nothing for you here.
you swallowed the large budding knot at the surface, gathering the shattered pieces of your dignity and lingering faith in jinx. each step felt heavier and more dreadful than the next but you refused to turn back.
“you’ll come back,” jinx whispered as you pushed past her, “you always do.”
she stood by dazed, but it was too late to take it back. there’d been many arguments, only a few of this magnitude. yet there was only one in which jinx had spat on the entirety of your existence. this wasn’t the first time you’d walked away. any other day she wouldn’t have batted an eye— but the ache that sat upon your shoulders, emitting from across the room was enough to spark seeds of doubt. she tried to extinguish it, piecing together hundreds of poor excuses.
you needed time. time to think and clear your mind.
the air inside was suffocating— terrible for thinking.
each one paled in comparison to the next. but as more time passed by they were all jinx had to cling to. obsessively latching onto just about every scenario that pervaded her thoughts. she needed to believe it, she needed to convince herself.
however, not enough convincing could distract jinx from reality. you didn’t return that night or the next. soon the waiting culminated into long weeks, accompanied by radio silence. she woke up, praying that she’d see your face— anything to remove that image she was stuck with. she wanted to touch you, kiss you, hell even get down on her knees if necessary. jinx would’ve done anything to take that night back. despite this she woke up alone and exhausted, growing bitter as time inched by.
months had come and gone since jinx had last seen you. contrary to popular belief heartache wasn’t healed over time. it was replaced by an endless void that grew until it was rotting and blackened. the space sat at the center of jinx’s heart, and rather than working to heal it, she just found ways to numb the vessel. yet the most convenient coping mechanism arose in an endless cycle of drinking— and inventing. thus most nights she was out scouting for pieces in the form of old rubble. before stopping by the last drop to wash away her sorrows, and on this dull night it was absolutely no different.
the air reeked of gasoline— so jinx knew she was on the right track. all she needed was gas, a small amount to complete the final part of her new invention. she’d spent most of the day roaming the streets until she’d come across an old engine. without a moment of hesitation, she snatched it from the junkyard, setting off toward the last drop. it was a prime environment for distractions, preventing her mind from lingering elsewhere.
loud music boomed through the bar as she sauntered in with a cheeky grin plastered on her face. she took the first open seat at the counter, gesturing towards the bartender. the man slipped a light blue drink her way, watching as she chugged it down in one gulp. although alarming, it had almost become routine for jinx. the harsh taste and burning sensation that filled her throat didn’t even seem to phase her.
“feast your eyes on this beauty,” she exclaimed plopping the engine out in front of her. jinx’s veins pumped with adrenaline as she fidgeted against the wood, sliding the drink back.the bartender’s eyes flickered between giddy jinx and the drink before lifting the pitcher, and refilling her cup to the brim.
“whatcha got there?”
she took a long sip of the drink smacking her lips together, “this my friend is the solution to all of my problems.” in more ways than one it wasn’t really an exaggeration. absolutely nothing beat the rush that jinx got from creating. it was something that only she could control— and it sure as hell wouldn’t leave her.
she began taking apart the engine, setting aside the pieces she needed. her eyes were bloodshot and her body was way beyond tired yet she refused to succumb to the exhaustion— once she fell asleep there was no telling what images she’d have the pleasure of revisiting in a nightmare. hence she worked tirelessly until her fingers were numb, but even then she shot back another glass, stepping outside for some fresh air.
the moon was full, casting a white haze over all the nearby properties. small stars nestled into the clouds revealing themselves in rare glances that mesmerized jinx. the scene was beautiful but she couldn’t help but frown. she hated somber moments like these, it left her remembering and yearning for something that she no longer had. she constantly found you in everything and it only forced the void in her heart to fester. jinx felt like she was in a dream. one where she could almost hear your voice, reminiscing in the way it filled her ears so sweetly. she’d dreamed of it several times but it felt so different now. it felt real.
in the distance jinx saw two figures, although she couldn’t make out their faces, one of them felt so familiar. laughter traveled from the couple to her— and it was unmistakably you. jinx couldn’t have made it up if she tried. she knew your laugh, she knew the way it sounded better than you did. it was infectious just like it was the last time she’d heard it. the sound nearly sent the drink flying from jinx’s grasp. despite the pestering voice that urged her not to, her legs carried her further.
you stood next to a figure— one that she’d never seen before. the woman’s hand slipped into yours as you leaned closer nuzzling into her side. she wrapped her free arm around your waist, pressing a soft kiss to your forehead. jinx’s stomach turned, contorting into a large knot that tightened the longer she watched. she wanted to call out but once again she was speechless, subject to the very emotions that pulled the two of you apart.
she’d never considered the possibility that you’d moved on. jinx had always hoped that some way— somehow you’d find your way back to her. and that maybe you were struggling too, grappling with restless nights and the memories of what you once were together. but seeing it— seeing you now, it changed everything. you weren’t a slave to your emotions, you were coping just fine and falling in love with someone new in the process. thus there was no gray area, you weren’t coming back and there was nothing she could do.
the two of you continued walking, diminishing the distance between you and jinx with each step. however, you didn’t recognize her until you were just a few feet away. jinx’s eyes were sunken and bloodshot, she was paler than ever, and if you hadn’t known better you would’ve mistook her for a ghost. she looked nothing like the radiant girl you’d once fallen for— she was a stranger.
for a brief moment, your eyes met hers. you didn’t know what you were searching for. maybe remnants of your old lover, indications that she was still there. but alas you were met with nothing, not even the slightest reminder. jinx’s eyes were cold and unfamiliar. yet this sentiment wasn’t exclusive to you. she too found herself searching, desperately scouring for the person you once were in her gaze. but there was nothing to be found— you were a stranger.
“who’s that?” your girlfriend whispered, glancing back at jinx. you snuck one last look at her frail frame, relinquishing yourself of any guilt and attachment towards her. the person you’d once loved had morphed into an unknown figure before your eyes, thus there was no need for them anymore.
you turned back toward your girlfriend, placing a small kiss on the underside of her jaw as you cooed, “no one important, let’s go.”
