Imagine you're Shez and you somehow just defeated the Ashen Demon. You feel awesome, everything's going your way and then a bunch of mercenaries keep coming out of the woodwork to kill you.
You finally learn that Jeralt the fucking Blade-Breaker was the Ashen Demon's father and he's coming to rock your shit because you just took away the only thing that he was living for. His baby that he did everything to protect and his wife sacrificed herself for.
And those mercenaries? They're not just coming after you because their boss told them to. They're fucking livid because you killed that weird kid they trained with and watched grow up. The person who always had their backs in a fight and gave them little gifts all the time.
Nice knowing you, buddy.

my new summer dream alt is now jeralt in a fishing get up but like at the beach. i don't know if there are fishes at the beach but he's shirtless and he has four+ kids and their little gremlin brain buddies
and he's teaching them all how to fish. i don't know how to fish but i know that one of the shezes gets tired and decides they'll catch fishes with their bare hands and the other shez also thinks it's a good idea
so the same gender byleth shoves them in the water because they're being loud and because that's what they've been told is done at the beach, probably by claude or sylvain or even sothis
so the shez that fell drags them into the water so they drag opposite gender byleth in and jeralt gets soaked from head to toe
and just as he's about to scold them for making a mess and tell them to control their gremlins because they're arguing in the background, he hears this familiar laughter that takes him way back
he turns around,
and his wife is there, also dressed for the occasion.
next to flayn, who heard about the fishing so she came along, who is next to her overprotective dad who is curious about rhea's daughter, next to cyril who seteth brought along because he knows rhea would love it if they got along but also know that she knows nothing about communication, who is currently standing in front of rhea hiding in the bushes, trying to figure out how to approach her daughter
turns out kiran summoned her but she wasn't sure how to approach byleth so she spent her time asking around about them and making everyone promise not to breath a word about it
jeralt and sitri kiss and everyone lives happily after
(and sothis shoves arval into the water, only to be dragged down as well
byleth has no sympathy for her fate)

Okay, so I just started playing Three Houses (I’ve had it for a while, thought I should finally start playing it), and I’m confused on this one detail.
So we met this guy that used to work with Jeralt (Alois, was it?) and he was like, “are you the Captain’s child?” and I thought it was a joke at the time, because this guy seemed the type to make a joke like that, and we don’t really look anything like Jeralt, but other characters are like “oh you’re the captain’s child, right?” and I’m just so confused. Are we?? Is Jeralt my dad??

Obsidian Sea Pt 2: Niklaus Lehr
Let's talk about Niklaus.
Niklaus grew up in Gautier territory, born to a woman from Sreng and a Fhaerghan father. He's settled directly in the middle of thirteen siblings, each of his twelve brothers and sisters adopted as orphans of the battles with Sreng, some of them Srengian and other Fodlani. Growing up in such frigid conditions in such a large, hectic household has made Niklaus a bit of a recluse, much preferring to hide away in his personal space where he has control of things. His personality as as cold and harsh as the winters he endured in his youth, some quoting him to be "prickly," "stubborn," "sarcastic," and, most commonly, "a straight up asshole." He left Gautier for the School of Sorcery to escape the hectic nature of his home life, only to be met with Sophie who was a personality unto herself. When she ran off to join the mercenaries, Niklaus joined her, because he deemed her too flighty to survive such a thing on her own. It was on one of their jobs that Niklaus was hit with a dark mage's curse that is slowly draining the life out of him, only held at bay for so long due to his own stubbornness to not die.
Niklaus prefers Faith magic, less destructive and more cleansing than its Reason counterpart. After being hit with the curse, he's found himself unable to practice Reason at all, all his non-Faith magic coming out Dark.
After the fall of the monastery and the loss of Byleth, Niklaus returns to his hometown to see his family after many years away from them. Niklaus, as well as several of his adopted siblings, enlist in whatever side of the war they're on. While offered the position of general for his prowess, Niklaus refuses each and every opportunity to go higher than lieutenant. While he does grieve the loss of Byleth, he accepts early on that they're gone and does not bother trying to find them.
The next group of pictures is for the new things added that have to do with Niklaus, such as his personal ability and the new class he defaults as, as well as Jeralt's, since I don't plan on making a post for him.
More personal information like favorite tea blends, gifts, lost items, etc will come at a later date, when I show off his character sprites. But for now, I'll leave you with a full side by side comparison of him when I first thought of him, his pre time skip design, and his post time skip design.
