i just now realized i barely talked about convergence in here and like only rambled about it on twitter. i dont have many complex thoughts but i LOVE the characterisation of vikjayce i love it so much. i love how viktor has acne from his mask, i love how he’s “ugly”, I LOVE HOW THERES ENOUGH HUMAN IN HIM FOR HIM TO BE CALLED UGLY, i love how jayce calls ekko “kid” and genuinely cares about him, i love how he’s portrayed and how hes a good person that sometimes makes mistakes, i love how they’re so metroman x megamind in this i love it so so much its amazing

you know being the wannabe character designer that i am i can't help but look at Ekkos rebel outfit and Sevikas robot arm and see interpretations of the machine herald design and i wonder if i'm seeing things or not but looking at their league designs and then back to their arcane designs it's pretty obvious they were trying to make the audience second guess wether or not ekko was actually the machine herald just based on the mask and hooded coat. (not only that but the mask sorta has blitzcrank vibes to it based on the coloring of the metal alloy that's behind the white material)

meanwhile Sevika's arm is built in a very particular way wouldn't you say? like i've tried to make various different interpretations of Viktors arm based off of his model in League of legends and his league splash art

and eventually i would probably end up with something like Sevikas arm just because of the stripes on the arm/bicep of her augmentation

and the shoulder/pauldron which alsmost has the same sorta design shape as viktors in league

just those two things made me start to look for more props or items in arcane that sorta looks like it could fit onto the machine herald model and i came across the mask of the enforcers suprisingly

flip it upside down and you'd have something with grids that could fit onto a pauldron with the same curved shape

and last but not least there's the Noxian soldiers who have both the cape, the red around their head and the mask which could be easily warped into looking like the machine heralds mask

these guys also have some things that remind me of Jayce's League model such as the shape of their pauldrons and the fur around their necks and my brain is going haywire with the implications of Jayce and Viktors outfits having noxian inspired traits in their designs as the machine herald and defender of tomorrow.

but with all these 3D models that fortiche has to work with i can't wait to see what sorta kickass scraped together design they'll make for the machine herald because his league outfit really does look like he's had to scrape together pieces of metal from completly different parts and had to either weld it onto his outfit or build it into his augmentations.

Arcane Headcanon #5

I've read that in various stories that Viktor has a knife tucked in his cane or that his cane is a teaser or both (this being a favorite).

So allow me to suggest:

Sword cane

I can imagine Viktor learning fencing as he considers it elegant. And I love to imagine that at some point he thought:

Viktor: What would happen if I fused a Hexgem to my sword cane?

The result?

A fucking lightsaber

(This is Viktor deflecting the Hexclaw's ray that Jayce accidentally shot. How these two did not kill each other before neither of them are really sure).
