the crossover movies aren't canon but if they hint even slightly towards the characters arcs ruby and yang are going to go through in the future i'm going to be feasting for days.
like. from ruby's point of view, yang was the person who had full trust in her; she agreed to board this crazy ride because somehow, ruby always knew the right thing to do.
but then they got to atlas, and ruby started making more decisions, and yang started showing more doubts; about lying to ironwood, how things hadn't gone exactly how they planned, etc. this culminates in them going two separate ways: ruby working towards sending a message to the world via amity, and yang focusing on mantle.
during this separation, one thing stands out: "do you think... she thinks less of me... for not helping out with amity?" jaune, as a leader himself, thinks yang is talking about ruby bc the argument was between the two of them about what they should be doing—in other words, it's the most blatant example of yang doubting ruby's leadership, and the way ruby reacts to it speaks volumes.
Tumblr media
in a sense, yang is taking ruby's presence as granted. that no matter what happens, ruby will be there, just as yang is there for her.
but that's not how it is anymore. and in the ever after, while ruby struggles with the pressure of leadership and her plans not working out, yang has to deal with the fact that she's no longer the person ruby feels comfortable to talk to about her problems, that she missed how bad things had actually gotten with ruby.
that she almost lost her sister.
which is a lot to grapple with, when yang once told raven that she only cared about making sure her sister is safe.
so, post-v9, if ruby seems more reckless, if she no longer makes any plans and instead goes with the flow like yang does, it makes sense: you don't have to deal with the pressure of your plans working out if you don't have a plan, and when her sister has been one of her most vocal doubters, acting like yang "let's do what we do best, charge blindly into danger!" xiao long fits the bill. what is yang going to do, criticize herself as well? pffft.
to yang, however, it raises alarm bells. what do you mean ruby is acting like her, when just recently she had rushed in to save ruby from neo, fell into the void and believed herself to be dead before her team found her? she almost lost ruby once by missing the warning signs, the possibility of it happening again is more real than ever and ruby acting reckless like yang with no plan to speak of certainly isn't helping.
they could very potentially jump to the complete opposite sides of the court in one fell swoop thanks to natural reactions to what they've been through so far and it's. juicy.

A Swimsuits Appeal
Ruby: Whoo! Let’s hit the pool everyone!
Yang: Lets go!
Nora: Cannonball!
(SPASH!)
Nora: Ahhaha! How was that, Ren?
Ren: Quite impressive, Nora. But, do that at the deeper end next time.
Nora: Okay!
Blake: It was nice of, Miss Schnee to let us use her indoor pool.
Jaune: I’ll say, it gives us all a well needed chance to relax.
Blake: Speaking of, Schnee’s, where is, Weiss?
Jaune: Still getting changed I guess?
Weiss: You are quite right, Jaune.
Jaune: Hey, Weiss are you… ready…?
Weiss: I’m ready. Going in for a swim sounds so refreshing after all we have been doing lately, don’t you agree, Winter?
Winter: A swim sounds nice, and all, but I am more looking forward to sinking myself into the jacuzzi later. Oh hi, Jaune~!
Jaune: H-Hi, Winter. You look nice…
Winter: Oh, why thank you, Jaune. We got our new swimsuits after we went on a family shopping trip.
Jaune: Family?
Willow: Well, since you were going swimming, I thought I might as well join in on the fun. Although, I too am looking forward to relaxing in the jacuzzi more than swimming. Are you planning on joining us, Jaune?
Jaune: I-In the jacuzzi?
Willow: Yes, in the jacuzzi~!
Jaune: S-S-Sure! I’m looking forward to it.
Willow: Marvellous~!
Winter: I’m looking forward to it.
Weiss: See you in the pool, Jaune.
Jaune: Y-Yeah… Oh, and ladies!
Willow: Yes, Jaune~?
Jaune: Your swimsuits… T-They look quite fetching on you… On all of you
Tumblr media
Willow: Oh… Why thank you, Jaune.
Winter: Told you one pieces were my style.
Weiss: I never denied that.
Winter: Yes you did.
Weiss: No I didn’t!
Jaune: …
Blake: …
Jaune: Fuuuuuuck! They look so damn hot!
Blake: They look nice, but I wouldn’t say the look hot. I think I look far more fetching in my bikini~!
Jaune: Ahh, Blake… You, and your unsophisticated plebeian tastes.
Blake: Excuse me?
Jaune: Don’t you know that the one piece swimsuit is the ultimate expression in ladies swimwear to emphasize the raw sexual appeal of any woman?
Blake: I… What?
Jaune: You think a bikini is more sexy than a one piece, why is that?
Blake: Because it shows more skin.
Jaune: Is that it?
Blake: What more is there to it? The smaller bikini the more skin you get to see; seeing all a women has to offer right there in front of you. It’s like catching someone in their underwear, but your actually allowed to check them out~!
Jaune: Ahh! You have such a boorish taste. Something you no doubt got from those third rate porn books you described as high literature.
Blake: Excuse me?!
Jaune: You see, the one piece is superior because of one simple fact: It hides everything, but hints towards everything~!
Blake: W-What does that mean?
Jaune: You see a bikini shows off everything; you know what the subtleness of a woman’s curves are, you can clearly see how well endowed a woman, how well defined the fullness of a woman rear is. And if they wear an even smaller bikini you see more, but their is no beauty in such apparel that gets the blood boiling with desire, and unbridled lust. It is quite simple really, very boring, and only alluring to those with such simplistic pallets such as yourself.
Blake: Then why is a one piece better then, you can’t see anything?!
Jaune: True, there is nothing really to see, but with the mind there is everything to see!
Blake: Meaning?
Jaune: As I said, in a bikini you see everything a woman has to offer in a bikini, but in a one piece it hints at everything she has to offer. It shows off how well endowed her bosom is, but since you can’t see her flesh precisely, your mind starts to wonder, and think of so many possibilities. Tell me; what do you think your mind starts to think about?
Blake: About how she looks without her one piece on. And, i-is her one piece holding them back, a-and making them look smaller… If so… H-How big is she actually…?
Jaune: Precisely, but there is more! They fully encompass her chest, so you get to see the shape of her chest, you know how big it appears to be. But, what is worse, it is that it is tight across her body. However, that makes it all the more tantalizing in the long run~!
Blake: How so?
Jaune: Look at, Yang, she’s wearing a bikini, and you can clearly see how well they bounce to, and fro don’t you?
Blake: They are… q-quite bouncy…
Jaune: Now, look at, Willow, do see such a heavy bounce in her full breasts?
Blake: N-No… They’re just there barely moving…
Jaune: But, what if they weren’t? What if they were bouncing about; would they look as good as, Yang’s, or even better?
Blake: T-They’re bigger, so…?
Jaune: Oh such dry, simple tastes you have, you will never experienced the many succulent flavours of a woman’s body at this rate.
Blake: Flavours of the body?
Jaune: Let’s move on shall we: Look at, Winter, do you see how her bodysuit so snuggly is wrapped around her waist?
Blake: Yes.
Jaune: Do you see how tight it appears around her wide hips of hers?
Blake: Yes…
Jaune: Doesn’t that make you want to run your hands down her body? To feel how it rises, and falls under your touch.
Blake: Y-Yes…
Jaune: So imagine your hands running higher up her body, tracing her succulent curves of her chest. To learn what it truly feels like to embrace a woman’s hour glass figure~!
Blake: Oh gods…
Jaune: Now look to, Weiss.
Blake: O-Okay…
Jaune: Notice how her swimsuit hugs her shapely rear, how it almost perfectly maps out her smooth curves.
Blake: Shapely…
Jaune: Don’t you want to just pull at the edge of her swimsuit, to let it go, and see how her butt ripples upon the impact. How the sound will echo within your ears. And, the moan that escapes her lips. Don’t want you to hear that?
Blake: Oh gods yes…
Jaune: Well, now that you understand how intoxicating a woman wearing a one piece can be, now imagine the best part.
Blake: T-There’s something better than what you’ve been describing…?!
Jaune: You’ve successfully imagined a woman wearing a one piece, now imagine them taking it off.
Blake: T-Taking it off…?
Jaune: When it comes to a flimsy bikini like yours, you just pull a couple of strings, and it falls to yhe ground, then you’ll go out it in like those third rate porn videos you like to pleasure yourself to.
Blake: How did you know that?!
Jaune: I didn’t, you just a basic bitch, so it’s not hard to assume what your interests on.
Blake: I-I’m not a basic bitch…
Jaune: I highly doubt that. Now, back to a lady in a one piece. When you take off her swimsuit, your arms will be across her body. Running up, and down her body as you press yourself against her. Feeling her body against you only being block by a thin piece of fabric. But, your hands have to run up her shoulders, to peel of the straps that have been stuck to her body. Then you pull them off revealing that succulent chest you have been fantasizing about, then you run your hands down her waist, peeling more of her swimsuit off, revealing more, and more of her succulent body in the bare flesh until it’s all gone. All the while your mind is running wild with the desire to kiss her all across her body. Passion runs you rampant as you crave to squeeze her body, to feel the softness of her skin upon your hands. Your body burning with lust to claim her as yours, and yours alone. Do you feel that, Blake, the desire, the lust, and the passion coursing through your body?
Blake: Yes~! Yes, I’m feeling it~!
Jaune: Then let’s do something about it~?
Blake: What do you recommend we do then~?
Jaune: This!
Blake: Wha?! Ahhh?!
(SPLASH!)
Yang: Haha! Nice one, Jaune!
Jaune: Thank you, thank you very much!
Blake: Bhaa! Why did you do that?!
Jaune: You looked like you needed to cool off.
Blake: You asshole!
Jaune: Maybe. Now if you’ll excuse me, some ladies require my attention. Tata~!
Blake: Grrrrrrrr!
Ruby: You okay, Blake?
Yang: Yeah, you look a little upset. Was it because, Jaune pushed you into the pool?
Blake: …
Blake: I should have bought a one piece swimsuit…
Yang: Eh?
Ruby: What?
Blake: I will have my revenge you stupid sexy blond! You hear me! I will have my revenge!
Ruby: What is she talking about?
Yang: Beats me.
Ruby: Okay then.

Bad Jaune had left Ever Alter. He had barely taken the first step in Remmant. He was old again.
Jaune: I should have killed that girl
Weiss was jumping for joy in her mind.
Yang: Look on the bright side—
Yang's sentence was interrupted as Jaune armor crumbled to dust.
Underneath the armor.
Jaune was wearing a black shirt that seemed to be clinging to his body, showing off his muscle very good work.
His arms were strong and huge, full of scars.
Jaune looked at team RWBY.
Weiss had her mouth open and was drooling as blood spurted from her nose.
Blake's face turned red.
Ruby just blinked.
Yang: You are now Dilf! A, your sword shining
Yang pointed to Jaune's sword that had fallen to the ground.
Jaune turned to see that his weapon was indeed emitting a strong glow.
His eyes widened for an instant.
He grabbed his weapon and said something very low.
Jaune: Calm down
All except Blake, who was confused by what Jaune had said.
His weapon stopped glowing, Jaune sighed.
Jaune stood, holding the weapon in his left hand. He wasn't holding his weapon by the hilt, he was holding it by the sheath.
Because he didn't have the accessory to hold his weapon.
Ruby: What happened to your armor?
Jaune: Ruby, that armor should have been destroyed a long time ago
Ruby: ?
Jaune: That armor was rubbish, I wish I had gotten rid of it long ago and replaced it with a new one.
Yang: So.... Why didn't you do it?
Jaune: I was cursed
Ruby: By whom?
Jaune: A cursed creature that I should have killed at the first opportunity. That thing still laughs! Just remembering it makes me angry
His eyes began to glow for a moment.
Weiss: What was the curse
Jaune calmed down.
Jaune: I could never take off my armor. If my armor was destroyed, I would die instantly. Also, the armor would lose its resistance with every hit I took
Blake: But your armor is still quite good
Jaune: It's because of my aura
RWBY: What?
Jaune: It is serious? I was in that place for years, do you think I had no training?
RWBY:.... 😶
Jaune: I spent most of my youth training to improve my fighting skills. This allowed me to develop my skills and to evolve my Semblante
Yang: Then why were you so easy to defeat?
Jaune: Curses also diminish my skills a little
Weiss: Wait a minute. You said your armor didn't break because of your aura right?
Jaune: Yeah
Weiss: But that should be impossible. And who was this creature that cursed you, and why did he or she do it?
Jaune: Why didn't I sleep with her
...
...
Yang: She was sexy?
Blake: YANG!
Yang: There must be a reason he doesn't want to have sex
Weiss: Let's get back to the main topic. Who is this woman
Jaune: None of you know her, her name is not found in any fairy tale
Ruby: So who is she, where did you find her
Jaune: She called herself Merlin. I found her while exploring the underground of that place
Weiss: Does that place have a underground?
Jaune: Yes, I would say or I could say that the underground is better than the surface. I had a good time down there and discovered and learned some really interesting things there.
Yang: Come on, does it really matter if she was sexy or not?
Blake: YANG!
Yang: THAT!?
Jaune: *sigh* Yes, Yang, she was sexy
Yang: So why didn't you sleep with her?
Jaune: Why didn't I want
Yang: You are a shame
Jaune: Have you ever looked in the mirror?
Yang: It is clear! I am wonderful, there is no one like me
Jaune started laughing.
Yang: I told the funny guy
Jaune: Yes, in that one I saw the most beautiful women there are
Yang: I doubt
Jaune pulled his scroll out of his pocket.
Jaune: So see
Tumblr media
Team RWBY was impressed.
Blake looked at Yang.
Yang looked at Blake.
The two of them were nothing compared to this woman.
Jaune put his scroll in his pocket.
Jaune: Let's go before we get caught in a sandstorm
Ruby and Yang were crying in their uncle's arms.
Weiss was reunited with her family.
Jaune...
Ren:...
Nora:...
Ren:...
Nora:...
Ren:...
Nora:...
Ren:...
Nora:...
Jaune: You're not going to say anything?
Nora: What do you want us to say!?
Ren: Nora is right, we…… We don't expect you like this
Jaune: Like this?
Nora: You look taller!
Jaune: I'm still 180
Nora: You've become a wall of muscles!
Jaune: I'm not even that muscular
Nora: That beard and that ponytail and... That's Pyrrha's
Nora pointed to the piece of cloth in his hair.
Jaune: * Sigh * Yes, that's what was left of her, I couldn't save the rest. I went through hell on earth
Nora and Ren looked at their former leader and saw a man breaking.
Nora: Jaune, can I take a picture of you?
Jaune: Can
When Jaune crossed his arms, Nora ran very quickly and lifted his shirt.
Jaune had a well-defined six-pack and a few scars, but there was one that stood out.
Four horizontal claw marks on the abdomen.
Nora took the photo very quickly before Jaune could do anything.
Jaune looked at Ren.
Ren raised his shoulders and then lowered them because he didn't understand anything.
Jaune: Nora who did you send this photo to?
With a smile on her face, Nora showed her scroll.
His eyes widened a little.

From Full House to Four of a Kind!
/===/ @ sirnoobsalot I mean May Zedong is a redhead. Neo could change her hair color on a fly. If you wanna go the Milf route Glynda is there, it's a good sequel since she'll be stopping this shenanigan (presumably) only for Pyrrha to hoist her over her shoulder and drag her back to her full house /== Master Post List ==/
The students of Beacon were giving Pyrrha a wide birth, with many red-heads and blonds donning hats or just dying their hair completely to hide from the "Red Queen" and her obsession with whatever she was doing with the girls she had already... absconded with.
Yang: I'm scared... like what if?
Blake: Pyrrha has already said you are off limits. You're my blond remember?
Yang: She's on the prowl again...
Blake: Well I doubt she'll... crud! Crap!! SHIT!
Yang: Blake?
Blake: The transfer students!!
Yang's eyes open wide, but it was too late. There wasn't enough time to warn any of them. It was like watching the circling of a shark as Pyrrha moved about the outskirts of the cafeteria, her emerald eyes watching, appraising, and then selecting.
Yang: Wish me luck.
Blake: Yang?
Yang jogged the short distance from where she and Blake and been standing to intercept Pyrrha as she prowled.
Yang: P-Money... what cha doing?
Pyrrha: I came to a revelation last night...
Yang: And that was... maybe you should stop collecting people?
Pyrrha: Heavens no! It was that four of a kind is better than a full house.
Yang: Four of a kind? You mean you're going to...
Pyrrha: Oh she's adorable...
Pyrrha points out a shy red-head wearing a beanie pulled down over one eye...
Pyrrha: How could I forget that Arslan was a blond! She's perfect! Excuse me.
Yang wanted to shout out a warning, but Pyrrha was upon her quarry in a heart beat.
May: (Cradled under Pyrrha's arm) EEP!
Arslan: (Thrown over Pyrrha's shoulder) NIKOS! WHAT THE HELL?
Pyrrha: You two are perfect! That's four of a kind for red-heads... but only three of a kind for blonds...
Arslan: Put me down!
May: Four of a kind?
Pyrrha: Hush! Jaune is very loving and will father so many beautiful children with you!
May/ Arslan: HUH???
Yang slowly made her way back over to Blake. As she and everyone else watched as Pyrrha started to walk off with two stunned young women...
Glynda: Ms Nikos! Enough of this! You are not only disrupting the peace of this school, and interfering with the composition of other teams... why are you looking at me like that?
Glynda took a step back, as Pyrrha adjusted Arslan and May, before taking a step forward, and strange unnerving smile on her face.
Pyrrha: You're... blond...
Glynda: Yes...
Pyrrha: Four of a kind!
Glynda: What? HEY! OUCH!
Pyrrha: Everyone comfy? Time to meet You baby daddy!
May/ Arslan: Baby Daddy?
Glynda: Help me! Call Ozpin! Call Ozpin!
Everyone just froze as Pyrrha walked out of the cafeteria. May Zedong under one arm, Arslan Altan over a shoulder, and dragging a panicking Glynda Goodwitch by the ankle behind her.
Glynda: (Desperately clinging to the door frame) Help me!?!? Please?
Pyrrha: Now, now professor... just think of all the blond bundles of joy you will give Mama Arc!
Glynda: Ahhhhhhh!!! Hhhhheeeeeellllllppppp!
Everyone shivered as the door frame leg go and the authoritarian professor vanished into the hallway.
Yang: Blake?
Blake: Yes Yang?
Yang: I am VERY happy to be your Blond.
Blake: Thank you Yang. That means a lot to me.
Off in a corner of the cafeteria silently sat a young woman. Her eyes narrowed as she watched the display of pure power and insanity. She titled her head to one side then the other. before standing up and making her way out of the cafeteria, hot on the heels of the one she was sure people were calling the "Red Queen".

The Trial of Jaune Arc
"Whagh... What happened?"
Ruby Rose lifted her head from the solid ground, finding herself in the middle of large, yet not empty room. Bustling about around her, there were dozens, if not hundreds of people shambling swiftly, murmuring in a cacophony of sounds she couldn't understand. Strangest yet, they all looked like her best friend.
Jaune Arc was her first friend at school when she arrived at Beacon, her older sister, Yang, not including. He stood taller than her, expected of someone a few years older, and had a big, goofy smile under his mop of shaggy, blond hair. He was... different from all the other students. Where everyone else was so sure of themselves and their abilities, Jaune seemed less sure. Like he expected himself to fail, for some reason.
Thinking on this self-doubt he held, she remembered the events prior that led to her occupation in this room. Last week, he tried once more to ask her bestie, Weiss Schnee, out on a date. Except it was different this time. This time, Jaune didn't even try, or try to try. It was like he took one step forward, then turned around and left without breathing a word to her. In fact, Weiss didn't even notice until Ruby told her.
Jaune was going through something, and Ruby wanted to help. But she wasn't exactly an expert on how to fix things like self-esteem or social awkwardness, so she turned to the one thing that held all the answers for her: online research articles. One link led to another and she found herself ordering this weird door from an even weirder website, talking about "repairing broken minds". When she went to show Jaune and maybe put her money to good use, she tripped and the door stuck to his head and she found herself falling into him! Into his mind!
That's when things started coming together for her. Specifically how she ended up in this strange, unknown building that shined white all around. She looked down to the shiny, mirror-like floor, finding her reflection staring back. She smiled, then frowned, and then was shoved off the floor and into a room. She tried to fight her way through the incoming tides of Jaunes...
"E-Excuse me!"
"Pardon me!"
"I need to-"
"Agh! Stop shoving!"
...only for it to end in vain.
The room Ruby was steamrolled into was just as white and shiny as the one prior. She stood up and noticed that there were Jaunes everywhere. Jaunes were seated in wooden benches both behind and away in front of the little wooden fence. In one corner, one Jaune was dressed in heavy-looking, white armor. In the other, a Jaune wearing glasses sat in a chair, in front of a very big, complicated... thing with a lot of buttons.
"All rise for the honorable Jaune Arc."
The Jaunes stood at the order. Ruby whirled around in confusion. She heard the doors open behind her and three people entered, all of them Jaune. The first was a very fancy-looking Jaune, with slick-back hair and tiny glasses at the end of his nose. The second was the exact opposite kind of Jaune and was hunched over from carrying a suitcase full of papers that were spilling out. The final Jaune was the most haggard of them all, wearing a black-and-white striped outfit and manacles around both his feet and his wrists with a long chain connecting them together.
"Be seated." Ruby turned to see another Jaune, this one much bigger and honestly the weirdest looking one so far. Instead of his signature blond hair, he had a wig of curly, white hair and wore a long, black robe. Ruby hopped into an open seat behind the defense table.
"Is the prosecution ready?" The Jaune with slick hair nodded, not needing to say a word. "And is the defense-"
Before he could finish, the nervous Jaune screamed so loud that his head popped. Ruby blinked a couple of times to make sure she wasn't dreaming that. And just for good measure, she reached down to pinch her arm.
"Mr. Arc!" Ruby looked up to find all eyes on her. "Is. The defense. Ready?"
Giving a gulp, Ruby nodded. "Y-Yes, your honor."
"Then I call this courtroom to order." Judge Jaune banged his rubber hammer on the desk thing. "Jaune Arc, you stand accused of three very heinous crimes in the eyes of Remnant. Do you understand these charges?"
"I do." Jaune answered next to Ruby.
"Uh, I... I don't."
"A Jaune doesn't know what he's doing?" The cool-guy Jaune gave a chuckle. "Must be a day that ends in Y."
Everyone laughed at the joke. And yes, everyone that was a Jaune laughed. The judge, the jury, the guard guy, the buttons guy, and even the Jaune next to Ruby laughed. It really unnerved her, but she gave a chuckle, an uncomfortable one, but a chuckle regardless.
"Jaune Arc, you stand accused of the following crimes; embarrassing your ancestors, wasting everyone's time, and being a failure. Now that you have been explained and understand these charges, how do you plead?"
"I plead guilty, your honor." Jaune said next to her.
"NO!" Ruby shouted, echoing loudly across the spacious room. Everyone stared at her, even the one next to her. However, while everyone else's eyes were filled with anger, shock, and disgust, his were more... confused? Like he'd heard something he'd never heard before and was trying to figure out what it was that was said.
"What... did you just say?"
"I..." Ruby gulped, then slapped her hands against the table as she stood up. "I cannot accept these charges. Jaune didn't do anything like that!"
"And do you intend to prove that?" Judge Jaune asked.
"Yes, your honor!"
"With evidence?"
"Yes!" Evidence was stuff to prove things, right? Ruby started wishing she'd paid more attention to those courtroom dramas her dad would put on.
"Very well." Judge Jaune nodded and straightened himself. "This court will adjourn itself until the defense has provided the necessary evidence to prove beyond all reasonable doubt that Jaune Arc is innocent of the charges accused against him." His hammer squeaked. "Court is adjourned."

You just know that if they do V10
The world will be painted as having been completely useless without the Heroic and Stalwart Team RWBY to GUIDE them. The Beyond Shorts will likely already anviliciously tell the audience that.
Raven and Yang will suddenly be besties and ALL LITERALLY UNRESOLVED ISSUES YANG HAS THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN RESOLVED VOLUMES AGO will be once again forgotten. Inferiority complex? Masking her aimlessness with bravado? Rage? Who cares, everything is fine now.
Raven will come full circle being completely useless with a character arc that you could literally cut out and not miss anything (literally, Yang could have encountered her at Vacuo right now for the first time and NOTHING would change). Seriously if there was one character the show wasted the most it would have been all the mystery and build-up her character had only to end up...THIS.
Ruby will be fine and giddy now, having been "cured" from having traumatizing experiences and doubts, because this show hates human beings being human beings and the writers likely actively hate Ruby Rose and having to have her as protagonist of their Jaune Show.
Weiss will yet again have no subplot being the "Schnee successor" idea which completely ignores that the very concept of SDC is rotten to the core and built upon classism and exploitation.
Blake will continue not having any sort of plotline because anti-faunus stuff got "solved" by her "looting and burning speech" and she's uwu catgirl gf now.
Ozpin being a body-snatcher will yet again somehow be side-stepped.
They will absolutely somehow find a way to tell the audience how it's wrong to be mean to the rich colonizer people and how something something both sides, something something violence bad.
They will once again off-screen the important and interesting things like characterization or worldbuilding - all while spending screentime on Jaune or padding.
Bonus points if they STILL attempt to throw Jaune at Weiss because oh yeah this show needed even more bad writing decisions than it already has.
This setting deserved so much better than being whatever this is.
Yang and Blake deserved so much better than literally having no development or characterization for each other OR their relationship.
And Ruby deserved so much better than being a God-Chosen-Hero Prop that is not even allowed to have flaws or characterization or actual growth as THE PROTAGONIST OF ENTIRE SHOW..

I kind of feel like it's really funny when people are like "Ironwood was always set up to be a villain from V2-" which it's true that there were indications that he might fall to villainy but that absolutely does not mean that the actual fall was written well. Or people say "Ironwood actually was evil from his first appearance in V2" and then like...
The reasons they give for why they think Ironwood is evil or could've been evil are things like:
"He was put in charge of security during a sporting event!!!"
"He told the Vale Council about how Ozpin's choice in sending a group of teenagers without a full year of training to Mountain Glenn didn't work out that well!"
"He responded to a potential threat to a city by bringing extra soldiers to help with every indication that it was cleared by and even wanted by the Vale Council, and he didn't read the show script enough to anticipate that someone who was supposed to be dead would hack the non-sentient robots he brought in to try to make less human lives at risk!"
"He didn't immediately succumb to everything Ozpin wanted without even considering that Ozpin might be wrong, and instead he had to think about it and get advice from Glynda before he decided for himself whether or not he thought Ozpin's idea of getting Pyrrha to be the next Fall Maiden was a good idea!"
"He said 'if you were one of my men, I would have you shot' to Qrow! What's that? The mains are physically aggressive with themselves and others up to pointing their weapons threateningly at Qrow for stepping forward and saying hey and Weiss pointed what was essentially a loaded gun in the face of an unarmed underage teenage civilian for the crime of not immediately springing to the side to let her into his house and therefore threats of physical violence within the context of RWBY can't be used as proof of anything unless we assume that all the main RWBY girls minus Ruby herself are destined to be evil villains? And also Ironwood later proves that he wouldn't try to hurt Qrow even if he was well justified when during the Fall of Beacon he wouldn't go all out against Qrow in a fight despite the fact that Qrow was acting like he was fully going to attack him? None of that matters!"
"He wouldn't let Yang continue to compete in the Vytal Tournament and doubt the evidence of his eyes and the eyes of everyone else and the on screen evidence of Yang attacking Mercury and he didn't just assume that Yang was manipulated by the semblance of a secret Salem agent into thinking something that wasn't true, and he empathized with her instead of just letting her do whatever she wanted!"
It's like.... What do you mean? Ironwood is no more 'always destined to be a villain' or 'already evil' than like the majority of the good RWBY characters, including Weiss, Jaune, and Yang specifically. He's no more 'always destined to be a villain' than Qrow or Winter. And again, whether or not he was set up to potentially become a villain in the future, that doesn't mean anything about whether or not his fall to villainy was well done. This is literally the most common thing people do when people complain about Ironwood's fall to villainy being badly done, is insist that Ironwood was always set up to be evil and listing these stupid ass reasons as 'proof' when it actually doesn't even apply to the conversation at hand anyway. He could have the world's best villain set up, but it wouldn't make the actual fall to villainy good or convincing when they rushed it and fumbled it.

Knightfall: Deep Love
Jaune's hand then slowly cupped her face and his hand moved to her bang of hair that covered her missing eye. Cinder knew what he was trying to do, and so she placed her hand on his, stopping him.
"Don't... want... see it," She told him. "Ugly,"
Jaune looked at her, and shook his head, "I don't think there's any part of you that could be ugly" He told her bluntly.
Cinder looked at him with a stunned expression. She had always worried that Jaune would stop loving her because of her injuries, yet here he was before her, still proclaiming to love her.
She removed her hand slowly from his which told Jaune that it was ok for him to see it. He slowly moved the bang of hair away from her eye and he saw her missing eye. It was just a socket and he looked at it with pity and sadness.
"Told you... ugly" She told him.
Jaune shook his head, "No," He told her "You're Still just as beautiful as the day I saw you," He told her.
Then, without hesitation, Jaune leaned in and kissed her just above her missing eye, Cinder could feel his lips pressing against the scared skin just above her missing eye.
To some, it was weird, no doubt, but it showed Cinder that he truly did love her, that no matter how she looked, he cared for her. For her, it meant that her knight saw her beauty despite the literal hole in her face.
The kiss ended and they looked at each other, both of their hearts beat much faster as they stared into the eyes of the other. Orange eyes that resembled burning embers looked at dark blue eyes that resembled the vast ocean.
Before they could even think more about their feelings or even talk more about it, they both crashed their lips into each other and their kiss was sloppy and full of lustful passion.
Cinder felt the heat spreading throughout her body as Jaune's hands began to gently trace her curves, even touching her scared flesh making her hum in pleasure. She began running her fingers through her hair, massaging his scalp with her fingertips.
As their kiss deepened, it became more heated and more lustful, until finally, their tongues gently slid into each other's mouths, poking, and probing the mouth of the other. Jaune leaned forward and Cinder leaned back, now, the blonde leaned over the ravenette the kiss broke and once again, the two looked at the other and said nothing. However, Cinder felt droplets of water fall onto her face, and she looked at Jaune's face only to see tears falling from his eyes.
"Why... crying?" Cinder asked.
Jaune looked at her with a surprised expression, but then he himself realized that he was indeed crying. "I-I... I don't know..." he replied,
Cinder soon realized why he cried and then lifted her hand to cup his face and wiped away the remaining tears on his face and she gave him a soft smile, "Don't cry..." Cinder told him, "Not... fault..."
Hearing those words, Jaunes tears fell a bit faster as he leaned down and began to sob in her chest, Cinder simply smiled softly and petted his hair, comforting him
"Safe now... safe... together..." She said.
Jaune continued to sob but Cinder continued to pet him and slowly, the sobbing of Jaune began to die as he had fallen asleep, with Cinder following suit, holding his head to her chest as a soft smile graced her lips.
for that moment... they lived happily ever after...

So, I have some thoughts about Jaune’s situation and what that means for his character going forward.
Tumblr media
First, shipping. I’ve made no secret of the fact that White Knight is hands down my favorite RWBY ship. Does his new age and the gap in years between him and Weiss, or any other character who was previously in his age range, change that for me?
Tumblr media
For two reasons.
1: Weiss is a grown woman with a literal license to kill. If she makes the personal choice to pursue romance with Jaune despite his older age, I don’t think there’s a problem with that. If she’s old enough to be a licensed huntress and fight monsters that want to murder all of human and faunus kind, then she’s old enough choose to date Jaune, DILF status or no. The same is true for any of the other girls on team RWBY, or anyone else who was around his age when he fell in the Ever After.
Now, how Jaune might feel about that in this hypothetical situation with their ages is another matter entirely. Though with everything else he’s been through and had to deal with since V8’s finale, I imagine his current age wouldn’t be his biggest hurdle to pursuing a relationship with Weiss, or whoever else.
2: I seriously doubt Jaune’s going to stay at this age when they leave the Ever After. The Ever After is full of all kinds of magic. If there’s a way to grow and shrink people, then it’s not a stretch to think that there’s magic that can revert Jaune’s physical age to what he was when he entered the Ever After. So it’s not a big concern for me.
That and if Jaune does remain in his DILF form then that just means Weiss will have competition in the form of Willow.
Second: the possibility of Jaune dying this volume. I don’t see it happening, at least not right now. I know a lot of people are worried about that, but I don’t think that’s going to be his fate. Jaune is, at this point, a main character. He has a lot more to do in the story and they aren’t going to throw him away like that. If Jaune dies, then it’s going to be at the hands of Cinder in a climatic final battle for the fate of Remnant. Preferably while taking her with him.
Third: the theory that Jaune can’t or won’t leave the Ever After. A lot of my thoughts on this tie into my thoughts on why Jaune isn’t going to die this volume. Jaune’s clearly been in the Ever After for a long time, but it’s not because he can’t leave. It’s because he wasn’t going to leave without team RWBY. He’s stayed in the Ever After this long because he was waiting for them. Even if he didn’t know for sure that they would arrive or that he would find them, he wouldn’t take the risk of leaving and potentially abandoning them. And likewise, he isn’t going to stay in the Ever After when he had friends and family back on Remnant, which is still currently in grave danger of being destroyed by Salem.
So yeah, those are some of my thoughts on Jaune’s ‘fate’ going forward. I don’t think he’s going to die or refuse to go back to Remnant, and he’s still perfectly shippable. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. They’re just jealous that he’s a certifiable DILF now.
The DILF knight, if you will. I mean, just look at him…

I definitely need to set my boundaries now. I don't say anything is letting her ask for my time and energy anytime anywhere

Shadow Knight, and Magic Girls
Chapter 1
Jaune looks at the clock, it was close to nine. Close to when they'd start to emerge. Tiredly, he gets up from his desk, takes his notes from the previous night he was reviewing and tucks them into drawer, and locks it.
Couldn't have anybody finding it, he had no idea how far this rabbit-hole went, and that scared him. Until he found the bottom, he wasn't stopping, then maybe he could share his knowledge.
Jaune thought for a second, thinking about those flying girls that had appeared the other night and obliterate that shadow beast without even trying. Then how they'd start bickering, who's kill it was and totaling a parking garage.
He shivers. Jaune doubted he could even do ... something or another while they were around. They were a terror, he was glad he had been across the street when it happened, and not inside.
Nobody had been harmed at least.
He touches his shoulder, where a dark black bruise still stung from where a piece of concrete at hit him.
Mostly everyone.
Jury was still out on them, and he wasn't eager to talk to them, maybe when they were more down to earth, he'd try. But, they wouldn't need his help, no people like him needed help, the common person. Strong as they were, they could be everywhere.
Nor could he, but he could be somewhere, and maybe that would be enough to help.
He slips out the window of his house, hanging from the sill for moment, then falls, bending his knees and then rolls forward in a crouch.
Looking around the yard, he didn't feel anything out of place, or sense anybody around. Not in the mystical kind of sense, but the with his eyes and rest of his sense kind of sense.
The street was quiet and dark. Making him grateful for living so close to city limits, almost outside of it. It about made up for all the nightmares he got because how dark it would get out-here.
But, it made for good night-vision training. He rounded to the woods, and went into it, thankfully the moon was out a little tonight, so it wasn't absolute darkness.
He made his way to a old, mostly dead tree, and dug out a duffle bag, one of many he had started storing.
Jaune stopped for a second. He sure was glad he was alone, if anybody was around, they might think he was some kind of criminal, or druggie.
Then he got to stripping and equipping.
Reinforced coat, a full face helmet, steel-toed boots, reinforce gloves, two belts (One for utility and the other for security), and some heavy-duty jeans.
It wasn't much, but it was the best he could do, and he wasn't expecting to take on the cops, or the military ... Yet. Jaune still didn't know the nature of the shadow monsters, but he hadn't ruled out secret government weapon.
Taking a deep breath, he reached into the hollow, grabbing his weapons of choice.
Ferrum Vis, a hollow metal pipe that had been with him since his first encounter, serving him well in-spite of it's battle scars.
Dragon's Breath. A sawed off shotgun, that he got though... means. Plus he needed it more than some punks, or whoever they were.
And, finally a plain, but well made combat knife, Spite. It more than lived up to it's name, having saved his hindquarter on more than one occasion, no one expects a knife to the eye style.
Taking gearing up his utility belt with a couple surprises, he was done gearing up, and set out into Vale.
Tonight, he would begin his one-man crusade again.
---
Jaune found his first enemy of the night quickly, as he walked through the alleys of Vale. The stench of it made him take a step back, it was always the soonest thing to hit him, the alarm bell in his noggin to wake him to action.
It was impossible to describe without experience, but it was like tar-cloying up the nose with a sickly sweet and humid smell, that was at once thick and fluid, seeming to fill any space around it, and stick to it like a deep infection.
It was bad smell. He had yet to smell worse.
He saw several beady red eyes in the center of a stark-white mask. The mask large, and looked like it was made of bone, or maybe, petrified wood? With a red line down the middle of it all, which was a bit of relief to Jaune, as the more markings on those masks tended to mark them as more dangerous, perhaps older, monsters.
But, most of all, the mask was situated on a pile of garbage that formed a vaguely human form. A dumpy, smelling, and ugly humanoid form.
Still, it was a shadow monster, a type he recognized. A Masker, it's only weak spot being it's mask, everything else was just being controlled. In this case it was controlling garbage, which there was a unfortunately high amount back here.
Jaune took a step back, holding Ferrum Vis defensively, as he made himself a smaller target, and looked around the alleyway for any advantages he could use.
Not anything really, other than making it following him to somewhere lest confined.
The Garbage Masker took a step towards, and then another, then swung down a bag of filth at him. Jaune inched to the side, barely needing to avoid the strike, this monster was clumsy, but he felt the power and weight behind the hit.
He could not take any hits from this thing, it was twice his height, and probably four or five times as heavy, that translated to trip to the hospital he wouldn't be coming back from. If he got to the hospital.
The bag limp slammed against the ground, releashing a utterly terrible smell, that still got in under his helmet, Jaune's eye's water.
He wanted to get as far away as possible now, as he felt his gear get stained by the juices that went flying with the hit.
Steeling himself, Jaune jumped up, and stuck the pipe into the trash heap it called a chest, and pulled himself up in a fractions of a second, then left it there, as he sat on it's headless torso, then brough out Spite, and stuck it under the mask, and levered it off with a sick, wet pop.
He had tried break these masks before, it wouldn't work with his knife, but removing them had the effect of making it lose power over the body.
It resisted him, fought him, the mask, not the trash heap, but it's body fell apart, and Jaune slid down, grabbing Ferrum Vis, then put the mass against the wall, and started bashing.
It cracked, and soon, it was turned into black smoke. Jaune made sure not to breath any just in case. He didn't have any clues on what these thing were, besides the one's he had gathered, which was all conjecture.
Which Jaune was heavily leaning towards being a Government Black Site Project to eliminate the homeless.
Ok, actually that one he got from Nora, not that she knew about this thing he was doing, but she never failed to have a conspiracy theory to tell him.
Taking a deep breath, Jaune then thought for a second, that was bit too easy, and shuttered. This would not be a good night, it was pattern he found. On nights were the first kill was easy, it was would only get harder from here.
---
Jaune hated being right. At least in this case, as he stared down something that was as tall and bulky as the Trash Masker he fought earlier, but much, much more dangerous, and muscular.
Something that could only come out of a tribal hunters nightmare stood on two wolfish legs, but with a mannish torso and arms, but a full lupine face, and four terrible, red eyes.
Crap. A Wolf-Monster. It was also the largest one he had seen to-date.
He just met it as he left the alley, going out into a intersection, then it bounded towards him.
Jaune barely had a moments notice to ready himself, a clawed hand the size of a tennis racket nearly giving his head and neck a divorce. He felt the power behind the blow, as he moved away by sheer reflex pushed to it's limit, feeling the air following the blow nearly pulling him down!
Crap. He watched as it's claws dug into the concrete, leaving scars in it's surface.
Forget a hospital, if he got hit he wasn't going to have a open casket!
It pulled it's arm back, and swung with it's other hand, it was fast, but with the windup it had to do, it wasn't hard to follow. Jaune slid edged away, thinking which weapon to use.
The Wolf-Monster didn't bring it's arms back this time, it jerked it's head at him, mouth agape full of white knife-like teeth and a red inside.
Jaune took a step back, and decide to introduce the Wolf-Monster to a dear friend. Taking aiming, Jaune opened fire at the monster's gaping mouth with Dragon's Breath, a hearty boom echoed down the street, as it kickback into his shoulder, as a lead slug fire out of the double barrel shotgun.
Half of it's head flew off in a spray of black matter and quick evaporating mist and red stuff, taking half of it's mask with it as well.
This did not kill the monster, as Jaune had hoped, as the creature stumbled back, it's other remaining half of it's head looked at him madly.
Stupid monster with no vital organs.
Jaune clenched his teeth, the stock had slammed into his bruised shoulder. He fired again, but failed to take off the monsters head, hitting center mass, leaving a large red hole in it's chest.
It bounded towards him, half-head snapping it's remaining teeth at him, while it swung it's freakishly long arms at him.
Jaune held the shotgun defensively, he didn't have time to reload, and started taking stock of his situation.
He was three steps away from the monster. He was mostly fresh, but had no way to reload his gun, before it tore him apart, and no amount of stabbing and beating at it would kill it before it killed him.
It could reach him in one step, and swing at him before it was half a step to him. It was missing half it's head though, and some of it's chest.
Jaune made a snap decision, sliding to his left, under the arm, and threw himself forward into a run, taking off behind the monster, and out into the intersection, out into the open.
It didn't seem to notice at first, charging where he was into the alley-way.
Jaune gulped, he reload the shotgun with a practiced hand, then reached into his coat for a lighter, then to his utility belt for one of his surprises.
The Wolf-Monster had turned around, was bounding back at him now, some fifteen feet away.
Jaune lit the rag and threw the bottle at it's good side.
Crashing into the monster with all the force of a pro pitcher, the bottle shattered, the oil caught fire, and the monster's head burned.
This did not deter it, not in the least. It continued to charge at him, full force, and now on fire. The heat was insane. Jaune leveled the sawed-off and blew off it's burning head.
It's headless body continued on with all the force of a runaway horse and carriage. Jaune didn't have time to dodge, or move, it was too close, he took the brunt of the force, and was sent flying like a rag-doll, with the body on top of him.
Jaune felt something crack, his eyes swam, and he rolled with the body. Then came to stop as they hit something solid, the body taking the brunt of the blow, but still knocked his breath out.
He was also pinned under it. Jaune was strong. He was not lift several hundred pounds of weight off his chest with his arms pinned strong.
Jaune sighed, he'd have to wait for it to turn to disappear. He'd resigned himself, thinking of it as kind of a break.
Eventually the weight lightened, allowing him to push it off, and he felt everything hurt, he looked down, and saw a piece of glass had introduced itself through his coat, and left him with a nice long, if shallow cut across his waist.
Jaune frowned, that was problematic.
"HALT EVILDOING MONSTER-THING!" A Girl in red floated above the intersection point a red-scythe at him.
That was even more problematic.
"Really, alerting the monster to our presence before we can attack, Red?" Came a snide voice, as Jaune saw a Girl in white came down to float just above the red one.
"Evil-doers, couldn't think of anything more original?" Came a cool, deadpan voice, as a Girl in black floating around the shadows.
"Hey! Ease off, it's not like we can't handle a bit of challenge right?" Came a confident voice from the Girl in yellow who floated above them like a sun.
"Hello, everyone. I see you all are here too?" Came a polite voice of a Crimison Girl who floated away from the rest, coming just out of the sky.
Crap. All of them were here. Why were all of them here? Why were they all here, right now, and pointing they're weapons at him?
What did he do now?
They're hands were glowing, time for action. Jaune moved a inch.
"It's moving!" Red shouted, then came at him like a hurricane of, well, redness.
But, it was incredibly direct and telegraphed, Jaune could see the sycthe move in his head, before she struck. Jaune ducked under he sweep, she looked surprised as Jaune was not there, but below her. He put the shotgun to his shoulder and fired, not a foot away.
She went back a foot, looking more confused then pained, in fact she was completely unharmed by the slug. "You ... shot me?" She sounded out the words, as if trying to figure out what it meant.
Jaune said nothing, holstering his gun and taking out Ferrus Vis.
"Ru-, RED!" Yellow's voice was like thunder, as she came crashing down with a almighty force. Jaune had seconds to react, he grabbed the closest thing next to him, which happens to be a floating girl.
The force rattled him, as Yellow almost hit him, but Jaune pushed Red in front of him as the two super-girls collided. Jaune watching in horror as she barreled through a stone wall.
He then started running.
Just in time to see White shoot some sort of ice beam at him, so he ducked. "Humpf." Did she really expect him to take that?
"Nice shot, Ice Witch." Came from Black.
"I don't see you making any attempts." White already pointing her rapier with at him again, to likely shoot another beam.
"Hmm, can't do any worse than you." "Girls, please. He's getting away." Crimson pleaded, pointing at Jaune with her javelin, as he starting running.
Black smirked at White, disappearing, and reappearing in-front of Jaune, shorts word at the ready.
Jaune pulled out a can of something, then sprayed.
Blacks hyper-sensitive nose and eyes were not ready for bear-mace. She fell down clutching her face screaming.
Jaune ducked again, as ice beam almost striking him, and freezing Black.
He needed to do something about her. He reached down to his belt.
"Oh no, you shall not!" She pointed her rapier at him again.
Jaune ducked again, and hid behind the frozen girl, then reloaded his gun again. Using then took aim.
"Do you really think such a weapon will work?" White said haughtily.
Jaune shot out the lights, plunging them into darkness.
"You rogue!" She screeched.
Jaune then took a modified lighter throwing it at her, briefly lighting up her face as it exploded in a splash of light, giving Jaune a very gratifying view of her surprised face, even if he couldn't make out any features, as the light went off.
She screamed, clutching her face.
Jaune didn't savor it, as he ran as fast as he could away from these mad-women.
A glowing crimson girl stopped that notion. "Sorry, I know you're human, but you have committed several crimes against Vale's public order, so I shall be taking you in."
Jaune said nothing, but inside he burned at the sheer hypocrisy at that statement, it though, warred with his urge to laugh at the sheer lack of awareness of that statement.
So, out came Ferrum Vis. He rose the iron rod in a parody of a fencer's stance. He was not going peaceable this night, or any night.
She nodded, but Jaune thought he saw a bit of pity in her eyes.
She flew forward at blinding speed, but like her friend, in telegraphed manner. Jaune inched to the side, his dark-colored clothes blending in well with the lack of light.
He took out Spite.
She looked around for him, as he crept in the shadows. With a twirl she struck at him, her javelin striking the wall behind him, as Jaune struck, Spite was attached into the hollow of Ferrum Vis, to create a makeshift spear.
She wasn't expecting the extra range, his strike hitting the jugular, but sliding off with a crimson glow. It had no effect, but she staggered back like she had been thunder-struck.
Jaune didn't let up, striking her wrist and knocking the Javelin out of her hand, she looked confused, had she never been disarmed before?
Then he kicked her in the jaw, sending her into the wall. Floating didn't really give good support.
Her hand glowed, and Crimson's jaw set, Jaune took off running.
She made too go after him, but Jaune's hand went to his belt, and then threw the object at her.
Crimson remembering what he did to White then covered her eyes.
But, there was no bang or light, just a light force hit her arms. She narrowed her eyes, it was just a pebble.
Then came a metal clang, and her eyes landed a piece of plastic, just as it exploded into light.
------
Crimson unsteadily floated out of the alleyway holding her face, eyes watering.
Her expectant comrades waited around her. Looking away shamefully. "He got away." Crimson admitted.
A chorus of cries came.
"How?" Yellow cried. "We had him, how'd you girls mess up?"
"Us?!" White shrilled. "You're the one who missed him with a clear shot!"
"Yeah, you and Red, are the ones that kept us from getting a drop on him, this is just as much your fault." Black hissed, her eyes red from the bear-mace.
"You girls never had a problem with me doing my hero stuff before!" Red cried. "
Crimson clapped her hands. "It's all our faults! We all missed up." They grumbled.
"I didn't think he would shoot me, or that he was just a guy."
"Yeah, just a guy that clowned on us. I feel so embarrassed." Yellow said sulkily.
White pouted. "How do you think I feel? He was toying with us the whole time, who was he anyway?"
"The Shadow Knight, I think it was him, he matches the description." Black's eyes finally cleared up, and her sharp senses smell iron. Eye's narrowing on the blood on the ground. "He was already injured."
Crimson looked at the stain's aghast. She had fought a injured man!? "Who is the Shadow Knight?"
"A vigilante, who showed up around a year ago."
"Like us." Red realized. "Do you think he's like us?"
Black shook her head. "No, not from what I heard. Apparently, he just targets criminals, and probably Grimm too, considering how much Black Matter he was covered with for us to get confused."
Red shuffled embarrassed, Yellow throwing a arm around her shoulder. "It's find, accidents happen." Then pounded her fists together. "And, we'll show him up next time! Can't have vigilantes running around causing trouble."
White nods. "Yes, I agree. People like him should stay in at night, can't civilians getting hurt. I mean, we're out here most nights to fight evil, and he has the gall to get out here and try to help, like we're not doing enough."
Black was silent in thought, before nodding. "I think we should keep him."
There came a chorus of confusion.
"Think about it, if he's been at this as long as we have, then he might have insights we don't. Plus, we might be able to learn a thing or two."
She got a looks of disinterest from Yellow and White, while Red then mumbled a agreement. "I don't think we made a good impression, he probably doesn't want to anywhere near us again."
"Then we subdue him." Crimson said fiercely, then back-pedaled under her allies stares. "For his own good, I mean. I agree with Black, if he's been at this for a year, as just a man no less, than he's got to be stopped before he gets himself killed. Then we can use him for the greater good against the Grimm."
"Well," Yellow tossed her hair. "If Captain Crimson says we should, then I guess we should."
White looked away haughtily. "Fine. If it means I get to settle the score, fine with me." She began floating away. "It's getting late, anyway. Same time tomorrow?"
The others nodded, and then took off.
With Crimson remaining looking down the blood stained alley. Thoughts coming to her unbidden. When was the last time anything had landed a hit on her, much less disarmed her, toyed with her?
Made her heart beat, give her excitement? The thrill of hunting Grimm she got when she first became Superior to the rest of life? When had these nightly adventures become safe and tame?
It was the first time in a year she had a 'lost' since becoming empowered, and Pyrrha was excited.
-----
Jaune closed and barred the park bathroom. He took off everything from the waist up, getting a good look at his cut.
It was a long bloody gash, at least seven inches long, oozing blood, but it was shallow, as looking into the dark, red mass, he didn't see any bone or muscle tissue, which was a blessing.
It hurt like hell.
It was about to hurt worse.
Taking a deep breathe, Jaune cleared his mind, taking a brief look at his tone, muscled body. SOmething that might be fit for a supermodel, if he could be so arrogant to think.
If not for the tragic amount of scars across his body. It was a miracle that he was alive, perhaps even some beings sick pervsion that kept him moving. That was fine though, as long as he could keep the Shadow-Monsters at bay.
This new wound would scar and fit right in.
-----
Jaune threw up into the sink, as he got done dressing, cleaning, and suturing close his cut.
He didn't even fell pain at his point, it was just a general feeling of unwellness.
Putting back on his clothes and gears, he exited the bathroom. Almost bumping into a green-haired girl with a skateboard.
Her eyes went wide, and Jaune feared he'd have to run and that she'd scream.
"Oh my Brothers! You're the Shadow Knight! Aren't you , right? Dude you totally are! This is like so awesome, you saved my aunt, do you remember her? Cause, like you're the only reason that she's still here, thank you, thank you so much! And-"
Jaune held up a finger to his helmet. The skater-girl's eyes went wide. "Oh, sorry to keep you! You got super-secret Shadow Knight business, um, but could you like sign my board?"
She practically bludgeon him pushing it into his chest.
Jaune nodded. But sighed, as his stitches hurt. Pulling a pen out, he sighed the board.
Then booked it. He really wish he had met her before he got injured, and could afford the time, but he needed to get home before he passed out.
Reese Chloris looked at her board in awe. "Awesome... I should have asked him to sign my boobs."
-------
Jaune slept through first period.
He slept through second period.
Then third, and fourth.
He did not sleep through lunch, in fact he woke up just in time. Much to the surprise of everyone. One second he was sleeping like a stone, the next he was at the door.
No one made to block his passage, not the student or teacher. Anyway one in front of him quickly getting out of his way.
Not because Jaune was forcing them too, but out of a sense of fear, not by Jaune's intention, but as simple cause and effect.
The cause, Jaune's field of being. Not a supernatural effect, but natural effect one might get from being close to a big cat, or a large angry herbivore, such as moose.
The instinctual force telling those around him he was dangerous, a predator.
Everything from the way he carried himself to the way he walked, it resulted in Jaune shining with danger even to the blind.
It did not help how tall he was, how tired and beat up he looked, or the unbroken steel in his eyes that scanned before him like a hawk, or how well built, and swift of movement he moved with.
The effect was in his pursuit of heroism, Jaune had unintentionally made himself into something of thug or bandit to those around him.
Well, to most that is.
Making his way to the lunch table, he brought out a lunch box full of meat and carbs, scafing it down like a hungry dog, empting it completely.
Then went back to sleeping.
Two people then went and sat beside him, on either side.
Ren sighed at his friends unruliness, and slid him the notes for class into his pack, quietly eating his own lunch.
While Nora began babbling to him, about various conspiracy theory, almost certainly subliminally influencing Jaune while he slept.
As long as he had these two, he'd be fine.
-----
Jaune was walking home, went he saw it.
It was a girl a year below him.
And, another it.
This it being Cardin and his gang, bunch of good for nothings, they were cornering her.
"So, my dad bought me this new car after the last one got totaled, due to like bullshit and stuff, he's like super rich, and got me it after I won the trophy for school. You see that? It's huge, like something else I got. So how about it, Rose, want to hang out with me and the boys?"
Ruby tucked herself uncomfortably into her hoodie. "I have plans, will you move?"
"Come on, it can't be that important." Cardin slammed his hand against the wall. "Not more important to me."
"It really is!" Ruby squeak.
Jaune had seen enough.
Walking over, he made eye contact with each of cronies flanking Cardin.
Jaune stared them down with a very direct message. 'Move or be moved.'
They shuffled around looking tough, but did not make eye contact with him.
Pushing pasted them, he sent them stumbling to the floor. Big and strong boys they were, athletic and experienced too. By using normal standards they were quite intimidating.
Jaune did not use normal standard, and they were no match for muscles forged from fighting literal monsters.
Putting one hand on Cardin's shoulder, he gripped and smiled. "Cardin, got room for one more?"
There might have been a time where Cardin had bullied him, Jaune idly remembered.
But going through hunt after hunt, nearly dying over and over again, and still coming to school in the morning, it made Cardin look so small.
He realized that after his first hunt, and stood up to Cardin. He got his ass beat to the infirmary the first time. What happened the second time probably is what kick-started his reputation.
The January 12th Bathroom Beatdown was till talked about when he wasn't around. It was a miracle that he wasn't expelled.
That was over a year ago, and Jaune was strong now, stronger than he had been then.
He pushed down, and Cardin felt as though he had a weight sitting on him shoulder, pinning him, he could move. His gut that he lived by was telling him to move was to die.
"Just kidding. I was just coming to get Ruby." That was her name right? "Nora wants to ask her if it's trues her dad is a black-ops super spy for real, and you know I can't say no to Nora."
Cardin nodded, sweat beading down his brow. "Yeah, no problem bro. I'll just go bowling with the boys."
"Good. Now come along Ruby." The red-head looked confused for moment, holding her hands behind her back. The shyly followed along until they were out of site.
Cardin then fell down. "Shit. I thought he was going to use the plunger on me again."
Dove rose off the ground. "Well, Rose is dead. Lets go bowling."
"Yep." Sky Agreed.
Russel. "Better her than us."
---
As Ruby followed along Jaune she kept her hands tense.
She hadn't want to hurt anybody, but she wasn't going to let Cardin push her around either. Now, the schools more feared student was making her follow along, what did her really want with her?
Did... Did he want her that way?! Her face flush.
No, she'd resist his devilish charm, and continue to fight evil!
Ok, maybe she'd wait to resist just little bit.
Smarts flew off her finger-tips.
"Ok, you should be good." The giant blonde said abruptly.
"What?" Ruby said confused, her blush disappearing as she tried to remember what he said earlier. "Weren't you going to take me somewhere?"
"Oh, that was just a white lie to get Cardin to leave you alone. Bye."
Ruby grabbed his arm, and he turn fast, faster than she thought a normie could turn, and for a second her heart stopped.
He looked like he was going to kill her!
"Uh, it's just, I thought that you were... Thanks for protecting me!"
"You're welcome, now let go."
"No! If you protect someone it means you're a good person, I don't care what others say, you look so lonely and mean, but I know you're nice. So, we're going to be best friends forever, now!" Ruby rambled hearfeltly at Jaune.
Jaune looked away. "Ok." He did not know how to deal with gratitue when he wasn't losing blood.
"Yippie! New friend! I can't wait to introduce you to the other girls!"
"Other girls?" Jaune asked nervously.
"Yeah, now that you're my friend, that make you they're friend as well."
Jaune felt the urge to now runaway from this tiny girl and never look back, least she find him.
Oh, Brothers. What has he done?
Ruby let the magic she was holding onto disperse, she wouldn't need it now, Jaune was a big softie, she was sure.
The other would love him!
Now, they just had to catch the Shadow Knight, and make him they're BFF too!

Hot Buttons issue: Do you think Cinder should have died at the end of V5?
Hmm, good question.
Well, thinking about it simply from a power scaling point of view. Cinder to that point has killed the main mentor of RWBY in Ozpin, and the strongest of the protagonists in Pyrrha. Not to mention she's a fully fledged maiden, so we can assume she's pretty much the strongest of the antagonists outside of Salem.
Of course, she still was recovering somewhat from getting silver eyed at Beacon, so she's probably not at full strength at Haven.
So who could beat Cinder and not break the power scaling? Raven can since she did in canon. And that makes sense, as she's a maiden herself with more experience.
Qrow? He was having a hard time with Tyrian, and did technically lose that fight, but that was with Ruby kind of getting in the way. And I'm not going to bring up the Atlas rematch, since that's kind of ex post facto.
If we assume that Qrow is close or as strong as a aura user can get without magic, than you could have him win a 1v1 without it feeling like he pulled a win out of nowhere.
I don't think any of RWBY or JNOR could beat her 1 on 1. And with how things were going up in the... courtyard? Whatever you want to call it, I doubt they would be able to get more than one or two people to go down and actually do anything there. And I still don't think they would beat her 2 on 1.
And if Raven's still down there, it would basically still just be her win with some assistance.
And I guess Ruby could technically beat Cinder with her silver eyes, but seeing as she hadn't used them once after Beacon, and hadn't been trying to train with the either, that would feel a bit anticlimactic for me.
------
So, Raven and Qrow are probably the only ones who I would think could beat Cinder without it feeling like an ass pull.
But there is a problem there.
Neither Raven or Qrow really have much of a personal vendetta against Cinder. Raven kind of does when Cinder killed Vernal, but Vernal is kind of a nothing character, so that doesn't really work for me.
Qrow has absolutely no connection to Cinder outside of the fall of beacon and everything that happened around it.
Blake is busy dealing with her personal antagonist in Adam and Yang was doing much the same with Mercury. They don't have any sort of personal vendetta against her more so than they have with any of the other characters involved in the fall, besides Adam and Mercury. And it's the same with Weiss. Since none of them really had much of a personal connection with Pyrrha outside of being in the same friend group.
That we see at least.
Ruby's had a few run ins with Cinder, and watched her kill Pyrrha. And Cinder has a thing against Ruby. So Ruby killing her off would work from a narrative perspective.
Jaune, Ren, and Nora all of course have the personal connection in Cinder killing their teammate, good friend, and partner in Jaune's case. So any of them killing her off would work too.
And having team RNJR come together one last time before disbanding to beat Cinder would be a good send off for the team. But I don't really think they could beat her, seeing as they couldn't beat Tyrian and Cinder should be stronger than him. Not to mention that they all probably wouldn't be in a position to fight Cinder alone as it is.
------
And of course, you run into the problem that you'd be killing off your most dangerous antagonist who isn't Salem in the middle of the second act.
That would be like killing off Darth Vader during the asteroid scene in Empire. It just doesn't quite work. Not that Cinder is anywhere close to Vader's level as a character, but I digress.
And you also have to go looking for the new fall maiden if you kill her off by having Raven beat her in the same way. Cause I doubt Cinder would be thinking about anyone else than Raven in that moment.
------
So in summary, despite the fact that I don't really like Cinder as a character. I don't think it any of the characters who could kill Cinder would be very satisfying to have do so. And any of the characters that would be satisfying to have beat Cinder could beat her without pulling out the eye lasers.
And if those two things did or could happen, it would be too early in the story to kill off the most threating villain who isn't the big bad.

Full Metal Plate
Winter: So, are you all packed, and ready to go… l-little sister…?
Jeanne: D-Did you just try to call me, ‘little sister?’
Winter: Is that alright? I mean, we’ve only know each other for a little while, and I’m still not sure that you’re… Huw?!
Jeanne rushed over to, Winter, and wrapped her arms around her for a tender loving embrace.
Jeanne: It’s okay, you can call me your little sister all you want, big sister~!
Winter eyes teared up before wrapping her arms around her in kind. They stayed that way for a while before breaking away.
Winter: Thank you, Jeanne. I… I needed that.
Jeanne: Any time sis. And, as for packing, I’m all ready to go. Well, bar my armour, well, my planned armour that is. I’m still a growing lady, I mean, look at these~!
Jeanne provocatively gestures to her sizeable chest.
Winter: Looks like… Double D-Cup’s?
Jeanne: They used to be A’s.
Winter: And, you’re fifteen?
Jeanne: Yep! Meaning these gals are still growing~!
Winter looks down at, Jeanne’s chest before looking down at her, C-Cup chest.
Winter: Well… good for you~!
Jeanne: You absolutely seething with jealousy, aren’t you?
Winter: Oh absolutely. Seriously, how are all, Arc woman so well endowed?!
Jeanne: Don’t forget about the men too!
Winter: …
Winter: I did not need to know that.
Jeanne: Yet~!
Winter: So you don’t have any armour at all, excluding your shield?
Jeanne: Oh I do have some armour! Give me - moment, and I’ll show you!
Winter: Alright, take your time.
~~~
Jeanne: And, done! What do you think?
Tumblr media
Winter: Not bad. It really shows off your figure. Seems light, and easy to move in. You are a fast fighter, this must suit you quite well. And, it does look like it will accommodate for any future growth spurts.
Jeanne: Yep! I can really move around in this. But, after I reach the peak of my growth spirt, I’m going to switch to wearing some more full plate armour. This is just a stop gap until then.
Winter: Oh? Why do you desire to do that? Light armour seems to best suit your fighting style. Wouldn’t full plate armour slow you down?
Jeanne: Depends on how the armour is designed. If it’s thick, and made from heavy metals, its going to be damn heavy. But, if the armour is dense, and made with thin armour plates, it can be quite light, and easy to run around in. Hell, I can even do a backflip while wearing heavy plate armour.
Winter: But, you don’t have heavy armour?
Jeanne: I… I could do a backflip in full plate armour!
Winter: Alright.
Jeanne: Whatever, just know this: when I get my full plate armour, you going to be amazed with what I can do with it. And, more importantly; I’ll look damn good in it too~!
Winter: Oh really? My grandfather may have worn full plate armour, but he didn’t look that good in it.
Jeanne: That just means he didn’t have any style, just like the rest of you snobbish, Atlasians!
Winter: Like anyone can look good in full plate armour.
Jeanne: Wanna bet? Hey, Jaune!
Jaune: Yeah?
Jeanne: Put your armour on, I wanna win a bet with, Winter!
Jaune: Am I playing any other part in this bet?
Jeanne: Nope!
Jaune: …
Jaune: Ha… fine… I’ll be out there in a moment.
Jeanne: Thank you~! Ha! Just you wait, Winter, I’m gonna make you eat your words!
Winter: Oh I highly doubt that.
~~~
Jeanne: You done, Jaune?
Jaune: Yeah, I coming down.
Jeanne: Get ready to lose, and question your sexual preferences, Winter!
Winter: I doubt…? Wait, what was that bit about, ‘sexual preferences?’
Jaune: Okay… Care to tell me why I’m doing this?
Tumblr media
Jeanne: Oh yeah… Momma likey~! So, Winter, what do you think?
Winter: …
Winter: Okay… You win, Jeanne. You can look sexy in full plate armour.
Jeanne: Hell yeah, I wi…?! Wait, did you say ‘sexy?’
Winter: No! No I didn’t! I-I’m leaving! I-I-I still need to pack!
Jeanne: You think your little brother is sexy you brocon~!
Winter: I AM NOT A BROCON?!!
Jeanne: Don’t be upset, Winter; we can still share him!
Winter: What the hell are you talking about?!
Jaune watched as the pair left, their voices slowly drifting off into the distance with only one thought upon his mind.
Jaune: …
Jaune: I got to get out of here. I have got to get the hell out of here!

RWBY ask: After being helped from being stuck in a tree Jaune feels the need to reestablish himself as Alpha and do that by pinning Pyrrha to the tree and fuck her.
"Sorry to get rough, Pyrrha, I just have to do this quick so you don't forget it~." Jaune says to her while he has her up against the tree and he shoves his huge alpha stud cock inside her ass and pounds her full and makes her moan like a heart eyed whore while he proves to her that he's an alpha stud. "I never doubted it~! Ah, Jaune, your cock is so good~!" Pyrrha never doubted he was an alpha stud but she loves getting fucked anyway and she moans like a whore while he hilts in her thicc booty and claps her hard to make her his.

Ruby's Handlers Pt. 1
Ruby: (Shuffling cards) Okay, I'm transferring the energy.
Weiss: Okay? And when do you deal?
Ruby: After I finish shuffling eight times!
Jaune: (Rolls his eyes) She's really in on this whole thing.
Weiss: Where did this come from?
Jaune: She watched a shuffle master online.
Ruby: (Laughs)
Jaune: And you know how she gets into things.
Weiss: Yeah.
--------------------------------------------------
Ruby: GET OUT OF THE WAY OF THE CAMERA!
Jaune: Please. Get out of the way of the camera, please. Please, what are you doing?
--------------------------------------------------
Ruby: And Weiss was all worried, but then I showed her what we would be doing, and she was like, "Oh, that's not so bad."
Jaune: Right.
Ruby: We're gonna be hitting each other with marshmallows on our hands.
Jaune: Even so, I don't know if I could watch.
Ruby: Dude, I thought you were my bro...
Jaune: I am very much your bro. In fact, I would say the fact that you are my bro makes it so hard for me to watch because I don't want to see you get hurt.
Ruby: But... But I'm going to slay, queen!
Jaune: It's possible that you'll slay.
Ruby: It's LIKELY that I'll slay!
Jaune: Fine, it's likely that you'll slay! But there is a large woman named Elm who is also equally trying to slay and whose sole mission in life right now is trying to stop you from slaying!
Ruby: Oh, whatever, dude! I'm going to slay harder than she slays!
Jaune: Oh man, if this... If this episode comes out after the fight and you just get fucking demolished-
Ruby: It's not gonna happen, though, and you know it!
Jaune: I don't know it, and that's why I'm so scared! How could I possibly know that?!
Ruby: Because you always go, "Ruby really gives it her all! 100%!"
Jaune: And you do give your all! You absolutely give your all! There is no doubt in my mind that you will do the absolute best that you are capable of.
Ruby: Mhm...
--------------------------------------------------
Ruby: Why are there zombies?
Weiss: Because it's the end of the world, and everybody loves zombies.
Ruby: THAT'S NOT THE ANSWER!
Ruby: ...I'm sorry that I yelled at you.
Weiss: Okay, you need to tone down the sass, missy!
Ruby: I'm sorry! I had Burger-Schnees earlier.
Weiss: What?! Who gave you Burger-Schnees?!
Ruby: I bought it myself because I'm a grown woman!
--------------------------------------------------
Ruby: And there'll be that one scene in thirty years that's like the behind-the-scenes moment where they go, "Then Ruby Rose had a lot of Burger-Schnees and didn't tell anyone." You know, that kind of shit?
Jaune: ...What?!
--------------------------------------------------
Weiss: Do you want some?
Ruby: No, I don't want, Weiss. Stop asking me if I want any food! Like a sweet, loving wife!
Jaune: She's so sweet.
Ruby: No, thank you, babe. I love you.
Weiss: I love you, too~!
--------------------------------------------------
Jaune: (Holding jar of dust) Way to go, Ruby! You filled the whole thing like a good girl~!
Ruby: (Laughs)
Jaune: (Laughs)
--------------------------------------------------
Jaune: It's full of fun activities! (Tosses canvas)
Ruby: (Canvas hits) Ow!
Jaune: Uh oh. Did I hit you in the head? (Laughs) I'm sorry!
Ruby: (Whines)
Jaune: Oh, no, no, no. Shh. Shh. (Holds her) Come on. Who's my special girl? (Pets her) You're my special girl.
Ruby: (Looks at camera, Wiggles brows)
Jaune: Who wants to paint? (Pulls away, Whining continues) Who wants to paint?
The current hosts of Lancaster are Ruby Rose (top) and Jaune Arc (bottom).
--------------------------------------------------
Ruby: Ooooh! Look at that! It's so shiny and sparkly!
Jaune: Whoa~!
Ruby: That's because the chemical reaction causes the air around the dust to shift!
Weiss: That's right~! Aw, Ruby, you do listen!
Jaune: ...I thought it was magic.
--------------------------------------------------
FACADE
Ruby: ...Fake-sade.
Jaune: Fuh-sahd, Ruby.
Ruby: (Laughs)
Jaune: Are you really fucking serious? Did that happen? Was that real? I think it was real, otherwise you wouldn't be laughing so hard.
Ruby: (Laughing)
Jaune: I'm worried about you.
