The peaceful Sunday was interrupted when an unexpected guest decided to show up. Xias found out (very late) about PT9's death after the old man didn't make any contact for a while and decided to verify it.
Jenny wasn't aware her late husband was helping around a young research drone who got stuck in Strangetown. At first she got worried PT9 had yet another secret child he never bothered to bring up, but Xias cleared up the misunderstanding. Although he did see old Pol almost as a father.
In the meantime, PT9's actual sons pretty much moved on from their father's absence. They still missed him sometimes, but his image was slowly fading away from their young heads and was being replaced with silly teen problems.
JoAnn starts the round in aspiration failure - I have to assume that's because of all the werewolf howling from herself and others, and she doesn't like it. She continues the round in aspiration failure when Jamie is killed by a falling satellite. Now it's rumoured that the latest spate of abductions has caused atmospheric debris to be dislodged...
Virginia's taking things day-by-day as she copes with the tragic loss of her eldest son Bondi.
Glaciers have melted to the sea
Things have gotten closer to the sun
I wish the tide would take me over
And I've done things in small doses
I've been down onto my knees
So don't think that I'm pushing you away
And you just keep on getting closer
When you're the one that I've kept closest
Lilith enjoyed her job, but being the only one to leave for work on a Sunday morning was not the most thrilling experience. Especially not after a restless night with her husband.
Meanwhile, Johnny was beaming with happiness and didn't even mind putting his average cooking skills to use for the family.
Jenny brought up the topic of Johnny and Lilith living with them, curious to know if the couple discussed it and if they've made any decision whether they want to stay or leave at some point. Johnny still wanted his independence, but living in the family house made him feel comfortable enough to consider actually staying.
Jamie was really putting his mother's limits to the test. He didn't want to think about Lilith moving out and tried to distract them and change the topic. Thankfully for him, Jenny was very forgiving.
Before aging up to the teen stage, Jewel brought Apple Hart home from school. Jamie realises she's technically his niece, but Jill is firmly in the "pollination technician" camp rather than "parent" camp in this case, and Apple makes it pretty clear that she's an orphan living with Mama Lacy since her dad Leon died. Jamie never got the whole PT thing - but now he's older and wiser, and can maybe understand where Jill and their father and all the PTs before them were coming from.
We have to admit the 10's might have been the strangest times for rockers to work, yet all the genres struggled back thanks to the massive restructuring of, well, everything, I guess. However, some succeeded immensely, though I would claim they fitted more in these times. For instance, the xx may have debuted in the late noughts, but they did find themselves much more attuned to the zeitgeist during the 10's. Nonetheless, Coexist, their entry for the period, belongs to a category of albums some didn't know how to perceive, i.e. I recall there were a couple expressions of disappointment over the disc despite the critical acclaim. Eventually, the LP became more cherished as the scene changed. They ended up being the progenitors of the path the consequent popular music took.
It’s Friday and Jill got up early again to take care of her baby siblings while her parents slept. Though Jenny had to get up early cause finally it was her first day back at work since having the twins
Jenny: So even while I’m at work, I need you to take care of the twins before school while your father sleeps.
Jill: Even on weekends?!
Jenny: Well yeah!
Jill: Oh and mom?
Jenny: Yes?
Jill: Can I have money to go and buy a video game? I’m tired of playing SSX 3!
Jenny: We will see, money is tight right now. Plus you have a job now, you have your own money now.
Jill: I know I just-
Jenny: Your a teen now. You don’t always have to ask us for money. You have a job now.
