This one is a current WIP, Polin fake dating. It's probably going to be 3 chapters, maybe 4 idk. I have written the bit where their bluff is called and some smut after that, but I have to write all the middle bit of the story. 😅 Here is something.

She looked up at him with wide eyes, unsure how to proceed. She had watched their verbal tennis match with apprehension, feeling color rise to her cheeks as Hyacinth cited their lack of public physical intimacy as grounds for deception. She stood there silently, mouth agape with horror at being found out, and now Colin was sliding an arm behind her back. She turned into his embrace, her hands involuntarily coming to rest on his broad chest. His face softened, right hand rising up to gently stroke her cheek with his thumb. Her pulse quickened, chin tilted up, the soft lights of the chandelier framing his face. He hesitated, brow furrowed, and she felt his arm tense on her lower back.

“Your rules…” His mouth barely moved as the words left on a breath. He held her eyes, searching their depths, and his earlier assurance came back to her. I promise not to kiss you unless you ask me to.

“Kiss me,” she whispered.

And he did.

So a few weeks ago, I was super blocked and couldn't find inspiration for any of other 6 WIPs, and then I had this random scene come to me. I didn't get far with it because there a lot of details that need to be worked out. But here is a little something!

“Sophie, dress the mannequins!”

The young woman in question heaved a sigh of relief as the door shut behind the other women, bell tinkling softly. She’d be running the shop herself for the next couple of hours. Not that she minded. With her stepmother and stepsisters gone, she could finally take a break herself. Dropping onto the stool behind the counter, Sophie took her phone from her pocket. Her notifications led her to Discord and the server she had joined to connect with people outside her so-called family. She spent so much time at the shop that she wasn’t able to find real friends.
