me in my room giving a speech about how they purposely removed important key traits about jacob from the new moon movie that made him a better person in the book like how he told bella he would be her friend if that’s what she wanted but he would wait forever to be a romantic partner for her if she ever decided that but he wasn’t trying to push her to be in a relationship and how in the book bella doesn’t have to tell him that she doesn’t like music anymore he just figured that out on his own and in the book he doesn’t bring up edward to her randomly like that scene where he talks about “that cullen guy” and her smile fades that doesn’t happen in the book he literally avoids mentioning edward because he can tell that would make her really upset and he knows her so well and he’s a great friend to her and even if you don’t ship bella and jacob together you end up loving his character while you read new moon and-

Rewatching Twilight…and the more I watch it the more I’m convinced that Edward and Charlie should have gotten together. The vampires coming after Bella? Never would have happened. Can you imagine them trying to go after a middle aged dad?? They’d look at him and be like “Oh, Edwards just playing the long game.” Edward being creepy and oiling his love’s window? Nah, he’s try it once and get a face full of Charlie’s rifle. Jacob’s, very very bad, imprint on a baby? Nope! Charlie already has one kid thanks, he doesn’t want nor need another. Instead of weird drama and love triangles you’d have Edward trying to woo Charlie, and Charlie just being vaguely confused and flustered because apparently vampires are real, his best friends son is a werewolf, and one of the vampires has romantic interest in him? I’d pay to see Charlie stumble through being courted by a vampire while also dealing with Bella and Jacob’s whole mess, it’d be way less creepy and way more entertaining

Awake Chapter 71 Baby Proofing

The next day Jake takes off work and spends the day baby proofing. He installs corner guards on the sharp furniture, door knob covers, latches on the cabinets. He puts nonslip pads in the bottom on the tub. Baby gates will keep his advanced and adventurous sons from getting into the kitchen without an adult.

Bella watches him, the twins always close by. She is slightly calmer. The boys watch their daddy work with fascination.

“Okay boys, daddy is making sure you can’t get hurt. We are going to keep you safe and your mommy calmer.” He tells them as he does the last thing on his list, placing outlet covers over all the plugs in the house.

“Thank you Jake. I do feel better.”

“No problem Bella. I really should have it done already.” Did he know that they would be pulling themselves up at five months? No. Should he have expected it with their genes? Probably.

Now to deal with the rest of what is stressing her out. After work the next day, he stops by the Cullen’s .
