Jack 🐺 HC's : He got so round face but its cuz hes got slightly chubbier cheeks, so when he gets his hair all messy or hes still wakin up he looks like the "He eated bees"
Sebek 🐊 HC's: Minor facial scars and scars in general, i dont think he'd have anything crazy since despite his brash behaviour he is very on about perfection, the TOP of his ears are bigger but not pointed also
Deuce ♠️ HC's: His hair is obviously more neat but when hes asleep or doesnt comb it/style it he has very messy and more noticabley longer hair in the back, at most it covers his nape, he also often falls asleep forgettin to wipe off his makeup (which earns him a scolding from riddle)
Ruggie 🦴 HC's: SNORES SO LOUD AND A DROOLERRRR, everyone who likes ruggie and self ships i hope u know i think he drowns u in drool cuz that mf sleeps like a tired dAWG /lh

Sona/Sebek meet:
Theyre both in class 1-D so on the first day of class Sebek immediately striked convo.
(In the game its stated there isnt exactly any girls enrolled which makes me believe it isn't inherently spos to be an all boys school but they just rolled with it since its p much only dudes who end up there, so for the first femme to be enrolled it sparked everyones curiousity teehee)
For the most part it was just Sebek being curious and nothing more but p quickly they always sat next to eachother and studied more as a habit.

SEBEK about my sona:
- is absolutely annoyed or worried, i have narcolepsy so sometimes P4 happens when i get just slightly too warm
- For the most part actually enjoys the convos they have since we study similar subjects and i particularly like potionology (Science club :3)
- When annoyed he purposely shuts up which sounds weird for sebek but he found out it quickly becomes WHOS LOUDER!! and got both in trouble each time
- Sometimes brings lunch to me since i be forgorten to eat
- Since hes in Diasomnia and my sona is Ignihyde he often prefers that they study in the library or in Diasomnia cuz he hates the enviroment of Ignihyde
- Overrall sees my sona as a good friend but also as a mild annoyance he very much doesnt need to deal with but he still does
MY SONA about Sebek:
- Thinks hes a bit silly and gets to uptight fast, annoys him on purpose
- Does secretly enjoy when he is a hardass cuz it means that there is likely competition ahead (ARIES 😭)
- When the vibes are calmer often falls asleep or gets physically close to be bothersome (think like a cat purposefully sittin on ur laptop during a writing)
- During potionology/science magic classes makes explosives or dictates the entire project which makes them bump heads
- During calmer vibes (part 2) they often just read or talk about random stuff though can often be over ruled by Sebeks "Malleus the great" speeches
- Sebek has been mad about someone leaving random food in his bag (ranging from sweets to full on meals), somehow he hasnt picked up its my sona 😭

ADHD & Autistic Doctor
(Doctor Character Study part 2e)
An Analysis of the doctor through the view of him having ASD & ADHD part 5. I want to thank @browneyesandpinstripes Parenthesis denotes the source of a material. Brackets are an aside comment.
10th Doctor:
Ten is hyperactive even when he is at his lowest point. He has still had very strong presentations of his neruodiverngence even though he is a very social and considered one of the most “human/normal” doctors. Even in his human form, he retains much of these behaviours. Showing that even when he isn’t a time lord much of the neruodiverngence stays with him. (TV: Human Nature / The Family of Blood)
Special Interest/stimming with his little machines (TV: Blink, TV: Partners in Crime, TV: Utopia, TV; The Sound of The Drums)
Always rambling from the get-go.  ( TV the Christmas invasion). You can also see this often when he is thinking but it will drift around a bit on the subject ( TV: Smith and Jones). Continues this behaviour of going on tangents and missing the point of things ( TV: Human Nature, TV: Blink, TV: The Sontaran Stratagem / The Poison Sky)  
Rambling combined with not getting social things get you lines like “I thought there'd be happy slapping hoodies. Happy slapping hoodies with ASBOs. Happy slapping hoodies with ASBOs and ringtones. Huh? Huh? Oh, yeah. Don't tell me I don't fit in” (TV: School Reunion)
Will ramble sometimes even to himself  (TV: The Girl In the Fireplace)
Rambles/info dumps about the year they arrived in and ends up talking about his thumb (TV: Tooth and Claw)
Distracted by small things, like stopping fighting monsters killing the whole human race to talk to rose about his hair. (TV: The Christmas Invasion)
Doesn't quite know the proper time to talk, or handle the situation when dealing with Reinette rambling and the getting distracted while fighting the enemy. (TV: The Girl in the Fireplace) Also when Donna is sucked in, he gets distracted by why she's there. He then starts to ramble on saying a bunch of stuff his brain definitely working faster than his common sense (TV: The Runaway Bride). We see this again when the doctor says “ It's a bit rubbish. How many prisms has it got? Way too many. The magnification gone right over the top. That's stupid kind of, Am I being rude again?” The doctor misses the social cue and his mouth moves faster than his brain so he has to check for roses perception. The doctor says a little before then "Well, they were bald, athletic. Your wife's away, I just thought you were happy" (TV: Tooth and Claw) Another example is when the doctor says, “Conglomeration, that’s what I said!” Jack replies “You’re supposed to say sorry.” (TV: Utopia) Again here he needs prompting from jack to realise what is the appropriate social response. Talks about why they haven’t taken Reinette’s body parts right in front of her (TV: The Girl in The Fireplace). Oblivious to jack and Martha's feelings for him (TV: The Sound of The Drums)
He never stands still often running about the TARDIS hitting things with mallets and jumping around to make it fly.  (TV: The Stolen Earth)
Extremely impulsive, this is often combined with a need to be brave. Deciding to stay in danger because its whats there (TV: The Impossible Planet) Choosing to fly down an air shaft to protect river on the flimsy evidence that she had a screwdriver that was his (TV: Forest of The Dead) He eats out of the jam jar not really thinking about if he should or not. (TV: Fear Her) Jumping through the time portal when he knows he can not come back (TV: The Girl in The Fireplace)
Climbs on things he shouldn't sometimes to make a point. (TV: The Evolution of the Daleks) Lays back on chairs sprawled out in a way that is not particularly appropriate (TV: Partners in Crime) Sitting and standing awkwardly (TV: Utopia)
Experiences sensory/info overload saying “Oh my head, My head” holding his head. (TV: Tooth and Claw)
Echolalia “So, physics. Physics eh? Physics. Physics. Physics! Physics. Physics, physics, physics, physics, physics, physics, physics.”  “No. Good for you.  Good for you. Oh, good for you, Sarah Jane Smith.” (TV: School Reunion ) “You're Mister Thick Thick Thickity Thick Face from Thicktown, Thickania” (TV: The Girl in The Fireplace)
Disorganized throws his coat around everywhere (TV: The Girl in The Fireplace)
Doesn’t get turns of phrase, and missing points. Donna says;“Don’t tell me the TARDIS has gone”  The Doctor Replies“Okay” Donna then asks”So where is it?” A confused Doctor answeres,“You.. told me not to tell you?” (TV: The Fires of Pompeii)  Another example; “Tell you what then, don't step on any butterflies. What have butterflies ever done to you?” (TV: The Shakespeare Code)
Possible sensory issues with pears (TV: Human Nature). Always wear the same 2-3 suites possible for sensory issues and a sense of normalcy.
Starts having a meltdown until Donna brings him back down (TV: Partners in Crime)
11th doctor
A very stereotypically ADHD and autistic character. An awkward, socially oblivious obviously strange character. His characteristic truly shines through but are definitely augmented by his C-PTSD and his struggles with identity carried over from ten.
Constantly twirling and jumping while flying the TARDIS or messing around underneath always having to be active (TV: The Doctor's Wife, TV: The Impossible Astronaut, TV: The Vampires of Venice, TV: Dinosaurs on Spaceship etc.)
Impulsivity is very true with this doctor. He calls theAatraxi back without truly thinking it through, in this case, it worked out fine because he was as scary as he thought he was (TV: The Eleventh Hour) He runs out of the TARDIS to see a little girl without checking out where he is properly on a whim (TV: The Beast Below). Follows vampires just running away without telling the others (TV: The Vampires of Venice). Lands inside a pirate ship because he felt like it. (TV: The Curse of The Black Spot). He sits at the president's desk in the oval office (TV: The Impossible Astronaut) Impulsive wastes time and changes his clothes when he should be trying to stay alive (TV: Let’s Kill Hitler)
Like all the doctors he will talk fast and skip around often ending u talking mostly to himself. (TV: The Time of The Angel's, TV: The Curse of The Black Spot)  He’s aware he does it but still has trouble stopping it “Crikey, Charlie, look at that. Ooo, I know someone who'd love to have a look at that. And the Ponds. Mustn't forget the Ponds, Neffy. Haven't seen them in ages. I'm riffing. People usually stop me when I'm riffing or carry on without me. That's also an option.” (TV: Dinosaurs on a Spaceship)
Talks to himself while working through things (TV: Vincent and The Doctor)
Incapable of sitting still constantly restless (TV: The Impossible Astronaut, TV The Power of Three, TV: The Lodger, TV: Vincent and The Doctor)
Sometimes completely zone into something and misses what people say. (TV: The Time of the Angels)
Hyperfocus on single things causing him to agitate those around him, and miss what's going on (TV: Vincent and The Doctor)  So focused on one thing Amy has to help him actually remember to run. (TV: Dinosaurs on a Spaceship)
Often distracted to the point of misplacing his companion (TV: The Rings of Akhaten)
Can try and be helpful and empathetic but can sometimes end up worsening things as he struggles with understanding the other people's reactions.
Sensory issues with food. Apples, bacon, eggs yoghurt, beans. (TV: The Eleventh Hour)
Dyspraxia, Trips and slides while running ( TV: Dinosaurs on a Spaceship)
Obsessive behaviour and hyper fixation on The Impossible Girl mystery to the point of it is all he can think of (TV: The Bells of Saint John)
Oblivious to how social interaction should work. Struggles with volume and often considered odd (TV: The Lodger). Just talking to Clara about random stuff while dressed as a monk (TV: The Bells of Saint John)
No sense of time (TV: The Lodger)

I don't know if you're taking prompts, but I had an idea: Klaroline fanfic, Misfits AU/AH. I don't know if you're familiar with the show but basically a bunch of young offenders get struck by lightning and gain (super)powers. They find out that others got struck and also have powers. It doesn't have to be young offenders, but could be based around the idea of one or both getting struck by lightning and gaining powers. The show was like Heroes meets Skins/Skam/Teen Drama,
I’ve only seen a bit of Misfits! It’s on my to continue list. I snuck in some bonus Halloween vibes just because.
The Rush Too Much
Klaus rollsinto the driveway slowly, his eyes on the half constructed haunted house on thefront lawn. It was rather larger than he’d anticipated but then he’d only seenit in pieces.
Carolinehas obviously been busy.
It’s beendrizzling all day, and claps of thunder have been steadily growing in volume asKlaus made the drive home. Caroline seems undaunted, decked out in a rain coatand a knit hat. She’s perched on a step ladder, carefully stringing lightsaround the top edge of the haunted house’s façade. Her curls are a wild messunder her hat and her cheeks are pink and wind chapped. Still, he’d bet moneyshe’s humming happily to herself while she works.
The Fourthof July Barbeque she’d thrown had proven that Caroline took holidays veryseriously and thoroughly enjoyed herself in the process.
Carolinehad moved into the house in June. At that point she’d merely been a friend of afriend who’d been looking for a new living situation. Klaus had been desperateto fill his spare room. Kol had been unsubtly hinting about relocating andneeding a place to stay and Klaus thought living with his younger brother wouldbe a special sort of hell.
Asroommates he and Caroline could havebeen a disaster – they were both a bit overly fond of getting their own way – butthey’d come to rub along rather well. Despite being the social sort, and anunrepentant chatter box, Caroline was very much an only child, fond of her ownspace and occasional bouts of quiet. She was excellent at reading when hewanted company and when he preferred solitude. And while Klaus might not be asneat as she liked as long as he kept his clutter confined to his private spaces(and took care of the messes in the shared ones in a timely fashion) she mostlymanaged to keep from complaining too strenuously. They liked some of the sameTV, enjoyed arguing about the instances where their opinions differed.
If an outside party were to witness one of those debates they might have commented on how Klaus andCaroline tended to crowd closer together on the sofa, all under the guise ofmaking their points. Klaus had come to deliberately stoke the flames, tossingout a not-so-innocent observations that he knew would irritate her. He thought Caroline might be doing thesame, that she was going out of her way to touch him when they sniped at eachother, and Klaus was mulling over a way to test the theory.
Theroommate angle made making a move annoyingly complicated. Klaus had neverhesitated to go after what he wanted but he didn’t relish the potentialawkwardness that would follow if he was drastically misreading the situation.Their respective friend groups had begun to mingle and Rebekah would likelykill him in his sleep if he ruined it now that she was making her own moves onCaroline’s friend Enzo.
Besides, itwasn’t as if Klaus was just attractedto her. That would have been easy. He’d seen the way she looked at him when hewas just out of the shower, noticed her eyes lingering appreciatively when hewas shirtless and rushing around in the morning. If it was just lust they wouldhave been able to work that out in a night or two and then slip back into theireasy routine with their sexual tension no longer an issue. Klaus had found thathe liked Caroline. Liked making herlaugh, liked hearing her impressions of her least favorite coworkers as sheunwound from her day, liked sharing coffee and the newspaper over bowls ofcereal on Saturdays.
It wasdifficult to figure out if Caroline felt similarly. She was an affectionateperson in general, free with smiles and touches and, as far as Klaus couldtell, she’d yet to make a gesture that could be definitively considered morethan platonic.
He spentfar too much time thinking about it, dissecting their every interaction,wondering if she were possibly doing the same.
A wickedgust of wing whistles past and Caroline wobbles on her perch, steadying herselfjust as Klaus gets out of his SUV. “Hey!” she calls, once she’s stable again.“I didn’t hear you pull up.”
Klausburrows deeper into the collar of his jacket, stuffing his hand in his pocketsas he approaches her. “Lost in your own thoughts?”
“Somethinglike that. Do you like it?” She wriggles her fingers, dropping her voice, “Isit spo-oo-oky?”
Klausfights a smile as he studies the weathered planks. The haunted house is made ofwood with groves cut into it in a brick pattern, painted grey and made to looktextured. Caroline had made a special trip back to Mystic Falls to pick it up afew weeks ago, had spent last weekend painstakingly re-doing the paint. Klaushad helped, had even added some creeping vines around the windows and door inshades of green.
He’d been abit dubious as she’d laid it all out. He’d thought she’d been exaggerating whenshe claimed that she took Halloween was muchmore important than July 4th (and hewas a bit concerned about what Christmas would bring given that holiday’sposition at the very top of Caroline’s hierarchy of celebrations. He’s going toneed to draw the line at a Santa suit). It had been impossible not to be sweptup in Caroline’s excitement as she’d told him about how she’d helped her Dadbuild the haunted house, how they’d added and embellished over the years untilshe’d gone away to college.
He’d died afew years ago and this was the first time since that Caroline had lived in aplace with a yard. She was determined to restore the house to its former gloryand make a Halloween to remember.
By the timethe painting had been done Klaus had agreed to help carve jack o’lanterns (andhe’d been out on a mission all day searching for perfect pumpkins). He’ssomehow even been roped into manning the haunted house, in costume (though he’dvetoed the first dozen or so of Caroline’s suggestions), and handing out candyto the neighborhood children – previously the stuff of his nightmares.
A crack oflightning sparks and they both startle. “It certainly fits into the currentambience,” he says. “It’s perfectly apropos for a dark and stormy night.”
“Right?”Caroline agrees. “I’m going to have to take a picture for Instagram after I’mdone with the lights.”
Klausglances up at the darkening sky, “Maybe the lights can wait until tomorrow,love.”
“I’m almostdone. You can go in. The pumpkins will be fine in the car. I’ll help you unloadtomorrow.”
She turnsback to her task and Klaus fights a sigh. He’s only lived with Caroline for afew months but he’s well aware of what she’d like when she’s set on a project.She stretches to reach a corner and Klaus eyes the step stool worriedly. He hasno idea where it had come from and it doesn’t look especially sturdy. He stepsa bit closer, a hand rising to hover around her lower back. “How about I help?If you fall and break your neck I’ll be stuck with about a dozen pumpkins and aBatman suit.”
He can’tsee her face but he knows that she’s smiling. “Pumpkins are nutritious and delicious. And I’m pretty sure youcould totally use the suit to pick up women. Chicks dig the illusion of atwelve-pack.”
Klaus openshis mouth, intent on using the opening she’d just given him – he has zero interest in picking up women whoaren’t her – but he’s interrupted by another flash of lightning, closer thanbefore, and accompanied by an ear-splitting burst of thunder. Caroline yelps,losing her balance and toppling off the stool. Klaus lunges for her, wrappingan arm around her waist as she crashes into him. He struggles to stay uprightwith her added weight, and they plow into a nearby tree. “Fuck,” Klaus gritsout as he takes the brunt of the impact and pain shoots from his shoulder.Caroline looks up worriedly at the curse, her hands running over his sides,“Sorry! I’m so sorry. Are you okay?”
“Fine,” hemanages, clenching his teeth together.
Carolinerises up on her tiptoes and touches his shoulder. It stings, even though she’sbeing careful. “Ouch, that looks gross. You’re bleeding. I can call Elena. I’msure she’d be thrilled to practice her stiches.”
“No,” Klaussays, immediately. “I’m sure it’s just a scratch.” Elena Gilbert was Caroline’sleast tolerable acquaintance and he did nottrust her to sew him up, doctor in training or not.
Carolineisn’t completely placated, “We’ll see. I’ll clean it up when we get inside andsee if the bleeding will stop on its own. The better news is I think I can evenfix your jacket.”
“You don’thave to…”
She makes adisbelieving noise, “Shush. It’s the least I can do after you did such a kickass knight in shining armor impression.” She catches his eyes, hers narrowingeven though a smile curls her lips, “Try not to ruin it with an ‘I told youso,’ okay?”
“I wouldnever,” Klaus teases, gratified to see her smile widen.
He thinksabout kissing her. Imagines her sharp inhale and grasping hands as sheresponds, softening and crowding closer until they both forget all about thechill in the air. Unfortunately, once again, Mother Nature sees fit tointerrupt a moment.
The lastthing Klaus remembers is a light so bright he has to close his eyes.
He awakenswith a cough and it’s painful, his throat dry and burning. It’s fully darkoutside though the moon is full. Klaus can just make out the splinteredremnants of a trunk where the tree used to be. He’s soaking wet and smells ofsmoke though all that barely registers because his head is pounding. It’s difficult to focus – why in the world is he layingon the ground?
A movement catches his eye and a he remembershe hadn’t been alone. He sucks in another lungful of air and turns his headwith a pained groan, one that’s echoed by Caroline as her hand flutters to herchest. He hears her thick swallow, watches her push her tangled hair from hereyes. She looks confused and Klaus can’t blame her, wincing as he sits up.“What…” her face twists and she coughs, hoarse and hacking, rolling to herside.
Klausreaches out to rub her arm, helps ease her into a sitting position when shequiets.  “I don’t know,” he says,answering her unspoken question. He nods to the tree, or the jagged splintered remainsof it. “I suppose the lightning hit the tree? And we were thrown in theimpact.”
“We wereunder a tree during a lightning storm,” Caroline moans, burying her face in herhands. “My girl guide troop leader would kick my ass. Of all the moronic…” Herexpression turns guilty, “Sorry, It’s not like you had time to figure out abetter plan when I fell. I didn’t mean it like that.”
Klaus wavesher apology away, “I know you didn’t.”
“It couldhave been worse, right? We’re both in one piece.”
Klaus’relief grows when she smiled. If Caroline’s managing that sort of optimismalready she must not be injured. “I genuinely did not think the storm was thatclose though, truthfully, I was a bit distracted.”
“By?”Caroline asks with a slightly teasing flutter of her lashes.
“By havingmy lovely roommate so near, of course.” He heaves himself to his feet beforeCaroline can reply, stretching and double checking to ensure all his limbs havea full range of motion. He’s a bit achy but it’s nothing a proper meal and a littlesleep in a warm bed won’t cure. He offers Caroline a hand and she takes it,mimicking his actions once she’s upright. He watches her carefully. “All right,love?”
She nods.“I’ll probably have some nifty colored bruises but everything’s intact.” Shehesitates for a moment before she steps closer, winding her arms around hiswaist in a hug. Klaus draws her even closer, gently, mindful of the bruisesshe’d mentioned, burying a hand into her hair. Her forehead rests against hisshoulder, “I’m really glad we’re okay,” she says.
“As am I.And look, your haunted house survived too.”
“It’ssturdier than it looks,” Caroline mumbles. He expects her to pull away to checkbut she doesn’t, seemingly content where she is. Klaus eyes the structure, thebranches and chunks of tree that litter the ground next to it with somedisbelief. “You’re probably not as stoked that it’s standing,” she teases. “You’restill on candy duty. Wonder Woman can’t face the hungry hoards alone.”
“I’llsurvive,” Klaus tells her dryly. He might even enjoy the experience, because he’scertain Caroline will go all out with her costume. “Shall we go inside?”
Carolinehums and Klaus stiffens when her lips brush his throat, “Yeah. We smell likebarbeque and dirt. Rock paper scissors for the first shower?”
“Deal. Doyou want to order some food?”
“Totally. Ideserve pizza.”
She tanglesher fingers with his as they make their way up the footpath. Caroline casts hima speculative look, “You know, they say near death experiences arelife-changing. That they put things into perspective.”
“Oh? Andhow do you expect your life to change?”
Shesqueezes his hand, “First, I think you should pay for the pizza so we can callthis a date.”
That issomething Klaus can definitely do. “And second?”
Caroline’slips curl, a smirk with a naughty edge that makes Klaus’ interest rise and hisbody tense. “I’m not sure. But I’m open to suggestions.”
He’d wonthe first shower (best two out of three). It might have been more gentlemanlyto have let her win but Caroline wouldn’t respect such a move, as competitiveas she was. He’d rummaged under the sink for his electric razor, figuring hemight as well tidy up a bit since the evening has potential to go somewhat differentlythan his evenings in with Caroline usually go.
If he getsthe opportunity he’d hate for the beard he’s been lazy about tending to chafeany of her delicate skin.
He stripsdown, happy to get out of his wet clothes. Turning to the side he’s pleased tosee that Caroline had been wrong about the severity of the cut on his shoulder.There’s only a thin scratch, and it’s no longer bleeding. He doesn’t even needa bandage nor does the wound hurt when he pokes at it. Klaus is just reachingfor a towel when the door opens and Caroline enters. He hadn’t locked it andshe jumps when she sees him, the door shutting behind her. Her eyes widen andshe flushes prettily, her eyes slamming closed as she turns around. A hurriedexplanation tumbles from her. “I didn’t think you were in here since I didn’thear the water! I was just going to pee but I can totally wait and…” she’spicking up speed and Klaus wraps the towel around his waist. He’s about tointerrupt her (or at least try to) when their very eventful evening gets evenweirder.
Maybe he’dhit his head at some point but Klaus drops the razor as he watches Caroline plowthrough the bathroom door. She’sstill talking, apologizing, but it’s now muffled by the wood.
“Caroline!”he calls, taking several large steps forward. He rips the door open, uncaringwhen it bangs into the wall. She faces him slowly, her lips parted like she’dbeen in the middle of a word. She eyes the door for a long moment, reaches outslowly, “Did I just…” she breathes unsteadily.
“I thinkyou did,” Klaus manages, fighting to keep his own tone even. Caroline’s gonealarmingly pale and if he loses his composure she’ll surely feel worse. Still,it’s difficult to maintain calm. “But how…”
He gripsthe doorframe when she touches the wall, her hand slipping into it, coming out on the other side, once more inside the bathroom while the rest ofher remains in the hall. He hears her breathing quicken, the obvious edge ofpanic in it.
He can’tblame her. He lifts his own hand, presses his palm to hers, pushing hers back untilhis own meets the solid wall. She yanks her arm away and into her chest,cradling like it’s been burned.
“You…” hestarts, trailing off. “Your hand. Through the wall.” He’s never been lessarticulate in his life but his brain is having trouble comprehending what he’djust witnessed. It’s impossible and,if he wasn’t seeing it with his own eyes he’d never believe it.
Sheattempts a smile, and there’s a hint of tears in her eyes. “What was that I wassaying about life changing? Becoming a super freak was so not what I meant.”
She blinkshard and Klaus shakes his head, grasping her shoulders firmly, “Don’t say that.You are not a freak. Perhaps it’sjust a fluke.”
Herexpression turns stubborn and she shakes him off and darts forward, easilypassing through the wall and circling behind him. “You were saying?”
Klaus runsa hand through his hair, “We’ll figure this out, Caroline. It’ll be okay.”
“Promise?”she asks, though her chin lifts and he sees a welcome spark of determination.
He doesn’thesitate before answering, “I promise. And I don’t hand those out to justanyone, you know.”
Carolinepresses her lips together and takes a tentative step forward before she laysher hand on his chest, dread flitting across her expression. Klaus holds hisbreath but remains still. The both relax when nothing happens, her palmsettling on his skin. It’s cooler than he’d like and he brings his own hand upto cover hers. “I can touch you,” she says, relief evident.
“Anytime,”Klaus replies, letting his tone dip suggestively. She rolls her eyes, a smallsmile tugging at her lips.
“This is such an inappropriate time forflirting.” As an admonishment it’s weak, particularly when her other hand comesto rest on his stomach. Her eyes fall, tracing over his skin as her hands pressharder. The towel was hastily secured, sits low on his hips and her eyes lingeron it for a long moment. Klaus’ lack of clothing seems to dawn on her andCaroline takes a quick step back, bumping into the vanity. She staresresolutely at a spot beyond his shoulder. “Right. We can’t do this right noweven though I really, really want to.You, shower. I’m gonna call for the pizza and get my laptop. I’ll see if googlehas any entries for post lightning strike weirdness.”
She bustlespast him before Klaus can think of a clever way to lure her back. Perhapsthat’s for the best. They’ve got a pressing matters to deal with, a problem tosolve. He’d promised to help her and it’s not one he’d made lightly. Whateverit takes for her to be okay he’ll do it.
He’s waitedmonths for a sign that Caroline felt something for him he can wait a littlelonger know that he knows that she does. When they do move forward, when he hasher underneath him, flushed and squirming and on edge, he’ll require her full attention.

Toronto - October 2019
Just back from Hogtown and a very energizing and engaging art viewing experience at Art Toronto. Turning 20 this year, the fair has smartly grown from its beginnings as an exhibitor trade show to a premiere gallery platform showcasing the works of primarily established and emerging Canadian artists. This year’s edition featured just over 100 galleries with strong coast to coast artist representation as well as a sprinkling of international participants. Fair attendance (on the weekend at least) seemed to be strong and crescendoed over the course of the days as art fans and aficionados got their late morning/early afternoon brunch out of the way and committed to actively navigating the fair corridors to enjoy the strong offering on display. Discoveries and visual treats were abundant, and red dots were plentiful - all of which translated into a great experience for all.
The exhibitors presented a well-balanced mix of contemporary and modern art. The highlights by the more well-established historical Canadian artists included: Jack Bush’s “Suite of Five Prints”, 1965, serigraphs on woven paper (each, 26 x 20.5 in.), featuring the iconic imagery of “Red Sash”, “Red Stripes”, “Red Orange Green”, “Nice Pink” and “Stripes to the Right”; William Paterson Ewen’s heavily worked “Full Moon”, 1987, mixed media on gouged plywood (96 x 90 in.); and  William Perehudoff’s elegant “Nanai #13”, 1969, acrylic on canvas (64 x 77 in.). More contemporary standouts included: Julia Dault’s multi-layered “Double Double Land”, 2018, leather, silver leaf, printed paper and oil on canvas (24 x 18 in.); Manuel Mathieu’s swirling “Study on a Movement”, 2019, mixed media (24 x 24 in.); Shaan Syed’s “Double Minaret (Pink and Green)”, 2017 (83.3 x 71.8 in.); Ron Terada’s satirical wordplay wall installation of 26 paintings “IL: DR 2”, 2017-2018, acrylic on canvas (120 x 408 in.); and Tammi Campbell’s ode to Ellsworth Kelly “Green Curve with bubble wrap and packing tape”, 2019, acrylic on canvas (51 x 40 x 2 in.).
In addition to the conversation around medium, technique and influences, sports talk was also prevalent with all the major professional leagues in various stages of full swing. At the top of the headlines was the World Series showdown between the Houston Astros and the Washington Nationals (provenance … the Montreal Expos a.k.a. Nos Amours). With the Astros leading the series 3 games to 2, it’s mixed emotions for anyone living in La Belle Province. Other newsworthy tidbits included: the feats of the ‘defense-powerhouse’ 8-0 Patriots; the Sabres playing like a top tier team; TFC’s run into the Eastern finals of the MLS Cup playoffs; and then there’s the Dinos. With the pervasive feeling of having been left “Hung Out to Dry” still lingering in the air, the Raptors are searching desperately for an identity and more depth beyond the eight-man rotation they’ve been running with in the early going of the post-K’Why era. Coach Nurse has a huge challenge ahead in guiding the defending champs back into the post-season. As a minimum, the core must stay healthy, the newbies need to step up and someone needs to tell Gasol that the season has started.

And it’s an important space for brands to make an impression on potential customers. General Twitter stats
1. 500 million tweets are sent each day
That’s 5,787 tweets every second.
Yes, this official number is impressive, but let us please note it was first announced in 2014 and hasn’t changed in the years since.
2. Twitter only became profitable in 2017
It wasn’t til Q3 2017 that Twitter posted its first profit: 91 million dollars. And according to analysts, that was based more on cost-cutting (in sales, marketing and R&D) than business growth.
However, Twitter has been consistently profitable for the last four quarters, and it posted its largest profit ever in Q3 2018. The stock market likes this bump: Twitter was #21 on Forbes’ Top 100 Digital Companies list for 2018 (beating out Facebook at #26).
3. The most popular emoji on Twitter in 2018 was the laugh-cry face
Followed by heart-eyes at #2, and cry-cry at #3.

4. 326 million people use Twitter every month
That’s nine million fewer than in mid-2018, and four million fewer than late 2017. Management blames bot purges, Europe’s new data privacy laws, and some technical issues for the decline.
5. 9% more people are using Twitter on a daily basis
While monthly users decrease, the number of daily users has been increasing consistently since 2016.

This lines up with Pew Research’s finding that 46 percent of American Twitter users visit the site at least once a day.
CEO Jack Dorsey stated that Twitter is focussing on making the platform “a healthier and valuable everyday service.” If these numbers reflect Twitter’s goal to be more attractive to good users while booting bad ones, they may translate to higher-quality audiences for advertisers.
6. 80% of Twitter’s users aren’t American
259 million of those 326 are international users. Twitter supports these users with 35 offices around the world, and the platform operates in 33 languages. (34 if you count emoji.)
Additionally, Twitter actively supports uptake in the developing world via Twitter Lite, the app’s data-friendly alternative. Twitter Lite is available in more than 45 countries, and this dedication to growing new markets has translated to increased international revenue growth for Twitter.
7. 24% of US adults use Twitter
Of those adults, Twitter users tend to skew urban, educated, and higher-income.

8. User growth is predicted at less than 1%, in the US
Emarketer predicts that Twitter will only add 500,000 American users in 2019. Most of the new users will be adults over the age of 25.
9. Only 6% of US teens say Twitter is the most important social network
According to Statista, teens don’t prioritize Twitter over other platforms. (Yes, Snapchat still reigns supreme.)

10. 80% of Twitter users are affluent millennials
That’s what Twitter says, anyway. This number lines up with what we know about the platform’s general demographics. 45 percent of American 18- to 25-year-olds say they use Twitter, for instance.
But does it line up with the fact that the most retweeted tweet of all time is a plea for free chicken nuggets?

11. 71% of Twitter users are reading news there
And, according to the same study by Pew Research, that works out to 12 percent of all Americans. No other platform rivals Twitter for bleeding-edge news and up-to-the-second happenings.
This relevance is quite possibly the reason Twitter continues to be such a major player in the social media landscape, despite size and reach. After all, Twitter invented the hashtag, and live-tweeting. (And Vine. RIP Vine. Never forget.)
12. Twitter is the number one platform for government leaders
Twitter outdoes Facebook and Instagram among powerbrokers. According to the 2018 Twiplomacy study, 187 governments and heads of state maintain an official presence on Twitter.
And in related news that is surprising to no one, Twitter is politically polarized. But since outrage is the most viral emotion on the internet, at least marketers can count on Twitter users being engaged. Just keep the relatively volatile nature of this environment in mind as you build your Twitter marketing strategy.
13. People are 31% more likely to recall what they saw on Twitter
This, as opposed to what they recall while browsing online in general.
Apparently, Twitter maintains a special place in its users’ hearts and minds. Or is it just that pithy content is stickier? Regardless, this is a notable lift that’s worth capitalizing on.

14. 75% of B2B businesses market on Twitter

And 65 percent of B2C businesses are marketing there. That means Twitter outranks Youtube, Instagram, Pinterest, and Snapchat.
15. 85% of SMB Twitter users say providing customer service there is important
One of the top reasons businesses feel they need to be on Twitter is customer service. It’s almost de rigueur now to @ your airline about every twenty-minute flight delay.
However, smaller brands can also jump on the opportunity to turn frowns upside down.
16. Only 3% of customers will @ you when they complain
According to Edison Research, brands need to put in some legwork and broaden their Twitter customer service horizons.

17. Twitter posted a 50% increase in ad engagements between October 2017 and 2018
As of their Q3 2018 conference call, ad engagements on Twitter continue to rise. If Twitter’s ROI wasn’t competitive last year for your industry and audience, it may well be now.
18. Twitter also saw a 14% decline in cost per engagement over the same period
Likewise, given lowering prices, if you’re not paying for Twitter ads right now maybe it‘s time to crunch those CPC and CTR numbers again.
19. Twitter ads are 11% more effective than TV ads during live events
More effective at “stimulating mental engagement,” to be precise. (And 9 percent better at memory encoding). This is according to a NeuroInsight study that also found people spend 4 percent more time on Twitter during a live event than they would normally.
Take, for instance, the 4.8 billion Tweet impressions during Superbowl LII last year, most of which—I can only assume—was everyone looking at pictures of Nick Foles holding his baby.
More than any other platform, Twitter lives for major events. That kind of predictable surge in interest is worth experimenting with in your paid strategy.
20. 40% of users say they’ve made a purchase because of an influencer’s tweet
Twitter is an indispensible platform for many experts and thought leaders, not to mention comedians. Have you considered complementing your traditional ads with a well-placed shout-out from the right voice?

In other words, a tweet gets half its interactions in the first half hour, and then starts a long, slow decline into the fog of time.
This is why some guides don’t have upward limits on the number of times a brand ought to tweet in a day.
22. Brands tweeted an average of 122 times a month last year

What does that work out to, four tweets a day? Six per workday?
Although, we hope they aren’t only tweeting on workdays. A better idea: schedule your tweets in advance to catch your audience when they’re online and engaged.
23. The best time to tweet is 3 p.m. on weekdays
In our studies we’ve found that engagement on Twitter peaks around mid-afternoon, if you’re a B2B brand.
B2C brands might have even better results scheduling around working hours. (Think commutes and lunch hours.)
That said, check out your audience’s habits using Hootsuite Analytics if you want to fine-tune your timing.
24. Tweets with a GIF get 55% more engagement
Twitter studied 3.7 million accounts in order to reach this, the conclusion everyone already knew.
But it’s nice to know the exact percentage, right guys?

25. 93% of Twitter videos are viewed on mobile
This statistic from Twitter’s internal data is a good reminder that video content needs to be equally effective whether or not users have their sound on.
In fact, mobile optimization across the board is a good bet: short, punchy, and vertical.
26. Tweets with video attract 10x as much engagement
We’re all still smarting from Facebook’s (um, alleged) inflation of video views, but this is a pretty compelling number. If you haven’t brought your video assets to Twitter yet, now is the time.
27. Promoted tweets with video saved 50% on their cost per engagement
Since Twitter Business is the one who came up with this statistic, it feels almost like they’re announcing a discount. However, it could make for an easy ROI lift for those of you with spare video content in your back pockets.
28. In-stream video ads lift purchase intent by 6%
Twitter’s new type of video ad is pre-roll before video content from Twitter’s publisher partners. Essentially, you can position your 15 second ad before desirable, “brand-safe” content (think: sports highlights, models talking about dogs) from big publishers like Condé Nast, Fox, Reuters, et cetera.
According to Nielsen Brand Effect’s data, these ads are performing effectively for their brands and are worth considering if you’re looking for a new tool to reach your audience.
