As ya girl leaves Heavensward and enters Stormblood it is time to revisit her Warrior of Light's feelings on the world and characters around her.

Without further ado - Cimorene Geneq Greystone's Post-Heavensward Relationship Vibes
Starting right off the bat with-
Haurchefant - what is there to say? she loved him. she loved him so much she can't put words to it in the wake of losing him, and maybe never will. there's a jack and rose from titanic vibe to it, in that she truly feels like he saved her, in every sense, and as much as his death destroyed her she's not going to throw her life away because he would've wanted her to live. they weren't married before he died, but they had intended to, so she does take his name afterward - again in a very jack and rose way. she will carry him with her forever.
Alphinaud - would kill for him. would die for him. he is 100% the scion she is closest to, to the point where it definitely transcends scions for her. that's just her baby brother. don't fucking touch him.
Tataru - continues to be best girl who deserves nothing but good things now and forever
Ysayle - felt an echo-kinship/sisterhood with her that she never really felt with Minfilia, oddly enough, and always knew her heart was in the right place even when she didn't agree with her methods. She was already numb from losing Haurchefant so she didn't have a very strong reaction to her death in the moment but it still hurt her deeply.
Estinien - Gets Him on, like, a fundamental level - and that’s even before losing Haurchefant puts her on a similar revenge path. Doesn’t always agree with him, mind you, but Gets Him. If she had actually lost him alongside Haurchefant and Ysayle… she would have ended this expansion in a very VERY dark place. Finds his and Alphinaud’s relationship incredibly endearing and has a non-zero amount of attraction toward him that she is Not Acknowledging, Thank You.
Aymeric - choosing to read that dinner date as Let's Mourn the Good Man We Both Feel Responsible for Getting Killed... Together. He still remains too much of a politician for Cimorene to feel truly comfortable around him - again, in spite his best efforts. her favorite thing about him, genuinely, is how much he cares about Estinien
Edmont - let's just say, there's a reason Cimorene took Greystone as her last name and not de Fortemps. He has a good heart, and she respects him, but she does sure land in Ishgard and immediately see how his parenting fucked up all three of his sons in different ways and kinda chooses to keep her distance from him, emotionally. she had an excellent father, in her opinion, and even though he's gone she's not in the market for a replacement, thank you.
Artoirel - Honey, Cimorene was NOT like a sister to Haurchefant at all, but she will gladly be a sister to you. His eldest daughter energy is off the charts and she cares him very much. (Also I, Tangy the player, have an AU where he and Cimorene have a political marriage and I have feelings about it)
Emmanellain - spends every second with him either annoyed with him or deeply, deeply angry on his behalf because it is clear to her most of his behavior is due to the aforementioned fucked up upbringing. Still, she doesn't like either emotion he gives her and so, admittedly, also tries to keep herself distant from him. She feels kind of guilty about that.
Y'shtola - she was pulled out of the Lifestream while Cimorene was still in a really bad place post-Vault and was kind of just operating on autopilot so, like Ysayle's death, it didn't Hit her as much as it would have any other time. As feeling slowly returns to her, she is glad that she has Y'shtola back; her no-nonsense attitude is MUCH appreciated
Thancred - Cimorene is dealing with a lot of grief and he is dealing with a lot of grief and this means she doesn’t really know how to deal with him. She’s not beefing with him by any means but she’s also more than happy to give him the space she understands he would want.
Warriors of Darkness - at first had no thoughts other than 'You know those days when you're like, 'this might as well happen?'' Then she got like, their whole story and she is simultaneously heartbroken and terrified of repeating what happened to them. It’s kinda a background/subconscious dread right now but she WILL be having nightmares about it!
Urianger - he gives her the heebie-jeebies. he has nothing else to give [bass boosted]
Krile - *shoves adoptions papers in her face* you're Cimorene's mom now do not resist
Alisaie - she maybe... forgot Alphinaud was a twin if she's being purely honest. HOWEVER it took the space of one conversation for it to go from confusion to adoption. that's Cimorene's baby sister. don't fucking touch her.
Yda/Lyse - kinda surprised at how NOT upset she is with the whole false identity thing. The Cimorene of ARR would probably have asked ‘why didn’t you tell me?’ when it was an option to do so but like, she gets it now. Grief, uh, fucks you up. That’s not important; what matters is having Lyse’s back now - and she does.
Papalymo - Tangy the player had his death spoiled EARLY into playing so like, I knew. But also, Tangy the player cried upon hearing that he was eventually going to die when I had only had him for like 24 hours so to say it still hit both me and Cimorene very hard in the moment is an understatement. She is. very angry now. She is going into Stormblood just so fucking angry.

Oh gracious. Everything. She was attracted to Fakhri from the moment they met, and that attraction only grew with the time they spent together. Watching his hands is a particular delight that often leads to thoughts about them on her skin, how she feels when he's touching her. There have been many occasions when she plays little games with herself, watching him play the piano or guitar, or shuffle his cards or any activity where she can focus on him; enjoying the play of muscle, bone and tendon and think filthy, filthy thoughts. [Bonus when his Gift kicks in and he picks up flickers of what she's feeling. Extra awkward in public. :3]
But she loves watching him - in motion and at rest. To her, he is the most beautiful person in the entirety of creation, and she is often terribly smug that he's hers.

Hello and welcome to my page of OCs! Call me Dial (or Fugo if we're close). This page is meant to be a hub for all my FFXIV shenanigans, but especially characters and their stories.
Be warned that I don't really tag many CWs as my characters are full of them, so expect occasional slurs, sexual references, drug and alcohol mention and all that stuff.

Jah'to "Jack" Rhydir [Coeurl], a Twelveswood born and raised Keeper, a younger twin. He left home early due to family conflict and quickly adapted into the life of a robber and criminal otherwise. Fate eventually brought him to meeting the love of his life through the most curious of circumstances. Now, he is on the path of recovery as a co-owner of a small apothecary with a side-hobby of raising chocobos. [old outdated carrd]
Vivienaix Vaitabeois [Coeurl] is a down-on-his-luck musician, chased out of his noble family for disobedience. Not prepared to face the broad society, he'd spent over a decade as a shut-in in a small apartment in Ul'dah, reading books, tending to his plants and writing music only for his own ears to hear. Eventually, the finances his family graced him with ran dry and in his search for a job he could do with his minimal skills he found himself back in Ishgard, forming a very complicated relationship with his new boss.
Cillien Cedrepierre [Mateus], a mysterious Duskwight of a million faces, who claims to have grown up in a poor family in some remote Twelveswood village. Although depending on who you ask, you may hear a completely different story of his origins, making one wonder if Cillien is even his real name. He's got a perfect mask up his sleeve for any person and situation, yet one question remains: does he himself still remember what he truly looks like? [carrd]
A'nanas Tia [Coeurl] is a self-made, yet genuine doctor of psychotherapy, otherwise known as a mind-mender. With his practice still being quite novel to the mending community, he frequently struggles with having his work be officially recognized or otherwise sponsored. But he doesn't give up, taking willing patients as part of the Stardust Apothecary services and writing books on the matter.
Rakim "Nile" Ottah [Coeurl], a classic criminal mastermind with a flamboyant and eccentric side to him. A proud son of Dalmasca, who fled to Eorzea with his waning parents and eventually had to survive in the streets of Ul'dah on his own. His strong leadership and skillful manipulation led him to the top of a small gang of robbers, which slowly evolved into a very powerful syndicate under his wing.
Zachand Greystone Karasu [Coeurl] is the son/daughter of Nile. He isn't the brightest, but her cheerful and innocent attitude often compels people to call her an angel. She isn't opposed to it, always happy to act on the nickname and help a person in need with all she can. ...Which is often quite a lot, since Nile frequently showers him with very hefty allowances and very little regulation to where those allowances go.
Teppei Shirayuki [Diabolos] is the youngest son of a fairly influential Hingan family. Far from being the family heir with plenty of older siblings, Teppei has grown into quite a spoiled brat. His lack of sense of responsibility led him to causing problems for his parents, who kindly asked him to sail overseas and not stick his nose out for a while as the dust settled. He is only happy for it though, as he is finally completely left to his own devices and also can stay as far away as possible from his despised oldest brother.

A little while back Google sent me an ultimatum. Pay 24 bucks a month for my and my parents Google accounts, or lose access to all my email, purchases, books, photos, decades of history. Flickr did the same thing. Cloudflare, another company I loved, got into the business of platforming the alt right. Microsoft bought GitHub and stole everyone's code for their AI training.
All these things that I liked, even loved, existed solely to be bought out, upsold or flipped for a profit and gutted. Maybe not immediately. But there's really one goal in capitalism, and that's extracting as much value from the thing as you can.
I quite love my MacBook. It's easily the best computer I've ever owned. But on the flip side I have friends I just can't contact because they use iPhones. My mum wants to know why she can't FaceTime me, and I have friend groups with group chats I'm not invited to because I use Android. This was a deliberate, documented decision by Apple to lock everyone into their ecosystem and extract as much value as they can with the least effort possible.
I fucking hate it.
But if anything has made me any more anticapitalist it's Elon.
Fucking Elon.
Twitter was a product that I loved. 15 years ago I joined, on a whim, because it was doing the same thing I was trying to make my blog do. Little updates in the sidebar. I never imagined it would have such a big impact on my life.
I think I was 21. Damn. I basically grew up on Twitter. Living through my 20s with (initially SMS access, but eventually) a permanent uplink to the hive mind which shaped who I am today. Initially I was just broadcasting my thoughts, which reflected my narrow worldview at the time. But it slowly became more of a community thing and opened my eyes to the larger world around me.
#btub was a monthly meetup of Brisbane folks, The Brisbane Twitter User Brigade. A hodgepodge group of internet weirdos who would rock up to Greystone Bar and just hang out together. Network. Get drunk. We had those cheesy "hello my name is" stickers which we'd write our Twitter handles on (@goAshley!). It was hilariously dorky, but I loved it in an ironic sort of way.
At its peak we filled the entire deck area and went late into the night.
Through the years I met some of my best and closest friends on Twitter, through btub and otherwise. Eventually it became maybe not mainstream, but a lot less about community. But it was still my uplink to all my internet friends. Any moment of the night or day I could pull out my phone and not be alone. Or sometimes be more alone than I ever was, depending.
I always said I would leave Twitter when they introduced ads in the feed. They introduced ads years ago, but I still loved that place. They introduced the algorithmic timeline that amplified hate and surfaced other people's anxieties to make them yours. But I stuck around because you could turn that off. Jack Dorsey introduced crypto to the platform and I still stuck around, reluctantly, because that's where all my internet friends were.
Then Elon Musk.
I was willing to see it through because I used to like the place. But I don't think anyone was prepared for the speed it devolved. Elon seems to be an outlier in this tale of capitalist bulldozing, because there's no motive here other than that he appears to be a complete fucking idiot. But nevertheless It's clear he has no respect for this thing that we have collectively loved, and he's certainly not going to make it a safe or pleasant place to be from now on.
It's heartbreaking. The end of an era. All because the rich man wanted to own the internet.
The hive mind, my avian companion, custodian and curator of my thoughts existed solely to be bought out, flipped for a profit and gutted. Fucking capitalism.
Anyway this whole post came about because I love Automattic. They do really good stuff and Tumblr is lovely…

* originally from tijuana, mexico the gonzáles family moved to the states when manuel was still a toddler to “ flee from the violence of said city & persue the so called american dream ” … or so manuel was told. the truth— his father was neck deep in some trouble with some dangerous men & leaving the country seemed like the safest choice. unluckily for little manu, violence followed him wherever he went, no matter how many borders he crossed. adapting to the american lifestyle was a challenge but dealing with his father still involved with drug trafficking & organized crime was a different kind of difficult.
* he had to learn how to survive a life governed by the fear of his father getting caught & his mother getting hurt in the way. he didn’t feel safe. he never did— let alone when his father started dragging him into many of his operations more often. first as a dealer, then as a broker. it was during that time where he learned how to fire a gun & differentiate between synthetic & natural drugs— anything he could learn to up his game of survival in the life. manuel was afraid no more.
* it’s until he is fresh out of highschool when he lands a job as a handyman in a ranch of his then new hometown of scottsdale, arizona that he tries to keep himself as busy & as far away from home as he can. he gets to briefly live a normal life, finding the comfort of numbing himself from reality with the help of alcohol & easily falling in love with the wrong people— like with one of his fellow handymen at the ranch or with the girl out of his reach from across the street.
* enter his college years where he enrolls in the state university to become an accountant like his mother & with the hopes of leaving his past behind & carrying something else into his future— but unfortunately, he is unable to. before he can even graduate, his life turns upside down when both his parents are reported to be missing. to this day, he still doesn’t know who is reponsible but he has his guesses: one of his father’s rivals. another result of his poor choices.
* the country life takes manuel under its wing as he devotes himself to it, even if being surrounded by nature almost seemed like too much of a contrast to his very agitated life. he grows fond of animals & of horse trials, soon earning the title of local cowboy in his neighborhood.
* after a relative of a so called mr. puhlman finds the talented manuel gonzález in arizona & offers him a job as supervisor in a town where aliens are said to freely roam the streets, he lands in roswell, new mexico to make a life for himself. when mr. puhlman retires, he leaves the ranch under the ownership of his young apprentice— & the rest is history.

The Wild Child, or otherwise also known as Jack Huxley. Jack William Huxley, if you really must known. Born and raised in Los Angeles to a groupie mother Angela Huxley and a rock star father Tommy Richards from The Vipers, though the latter never really acknowledged him.. that’s why Jack changed their surname to his mother’s upon turning fourteen years old and moving to Roswell where his maternal grandmother lived.
Despite their eternal hate towards his father, one thing was certain.. Jack inherited both his father’s musical talent and hate towards traditional education. All he cared for was music, never school.. no matter how much their grandmother was trying to make them do so. It was no wonder he spent all of his high school days in detention or in a garage playing music.. from the very early age on, Jack knew he’d become a rock star.
Choosing to not go into college, as if they even could, Jack decided to stay in Roswell focusing on their music. They found a work as a radio host at Roswell’s Rocket Radio FM.. their show is called The Music Education, which was to mock all of their teachers who were against Jack and his music. Their days were filled with playing music, working and partying whenever possible.. which also led to a drug and alcohol addiction.
However, with now being almost thirty years old, Jack was still a radio host and was still using, although if you asked Jack, everything was under control.. it wasn’t. And of course, Jack still had a band that was not well-known outside of Roswell. True, it would have been easier to use his father’s connection to make it, but despite man’s numerous offers, Jack was refusing every single one of them. Not just because he didn't want people in Roswell to know who their father is, but also because if he’d make it, he’d make it on their own.. not because he’s a son of a rock star.

He may have been upset and Sarah went missing and she was a s***** looking girl in the bridge and they're trying to blame him because jealousy and she was not murdered yet no but is missing, any other three were on the bridge and no the two below were and the other one was one of the same people that were on the bridge over they're using some sort of strange technique to heat it up and trying to say that Trump did it because it's trying to grab them grab our son and my husband that is and he wasn't trying very hard he had to have him cross the road first before doing anything you couldn't get him on anything so it looks a little funny he's waiting frantically like Uncle Buck so there's an easy way around it and he would know that and he's done that before over there said the portal party and with the other couples as well I'm sort of chasing him out so you can see how it's confusing to him and he went up in BG was in the way now these guys are stopping wet with weakness but they're still kind of doing the job and then an unclassy way but they're doing it and it looks much better than before meaning it looks like they're trying to stop him so they're taking hits and tell me after trying to frame them but was right there his number to one guy was in front of him on the bridge and he's the partner in the Steven seagal movie he's Steven seagal's partner and trying to incriminate him and they haven't even found the girl yet so I'm not sure why they're doing it so close they're playing it very very close in I mean they're right there and accusing him of not being a good cop accusing him of not doing things by the book and being the criminal. So guys begins his own investigation and he's a big black guy finds out that it was Tommy f who was choking him out and he says how do you know he says a little harder than the other guy and you had to shake and drive and moving her helped and he says I found something similar
And he is jacked up Steven seagal and we think it's foreigners and they're finally arriving this is what they're doing to tell me if and he said this is kind of how it is but a little more friendly he said wow that's incredible and it's not even father and mother and he said well who the hell is it okay.
So it's a lot of fun and he's in it now and these guys are after him and they are going to greystone Mansion and the reasons are for the illness they have and they're going to start becoming the X-Men
