calming down for 2 seconds the cinematography was great this episode and the pacing was a definite improvement from ep1, which filoni also directed! this played into his directing strengths a lot better w the action and emotion. i won't lie i'm still not sold on the show as a whole i do think eps 1-3 were okay i guess, 4 was a step up and 5 is like. wow ok go girl. also the way they used anivader in this episode made me rlly sad for the kenobi show bc that show should've been smthn like this, using him as a vision for obi-wan's development instead of the villain of the show bc thats a tired fight but hey! this is abt ahsoka not kenobi i digress. SPEAKING OF loved how it was actually ABOUT the titular character for once. anyway. going insane. i don't have too much faith the show can keep this up but i'll be happy if it can reach smthn close to this as it goes on

Dussekar is an enegmatic and strange character, shrouded in mystery

[LONG POST INCOMING] [[like its massive]]

1st off, tell me if he EVER, at all , ONCE actively helps you

Chapter 1, Otempes does most of it

Chapter 2, Wiscara tags alongside you to take her scissors back and beats up herbrother ro do so

Chapter 3 you just go with Otempes, but THIS is when you meet Dussekar

Chapter 4 is primarily a solo mission, with Wiscara telling you where to go

Chapter 5 everyone tags along, EXCEPT Dussekar (put a pin in that for me)

Chapter 6, Tucker (who does not need to help) convinces you to take a more active approach instead of waiting for a problem to occur and then solving it (see chapters 1, 2, and 4)

Chapter 7 Base cleph and Otempes solve this, you coming along because Claire told you too.

Chapter 8 EVERYONE gets involved

...yeah hes not the defenition of a "team player".

2nd, Dussekar is just some guy, just some guy that got what he wanted because of a likely meaningless task

3rd, he seems to be apathetic or blatantly NOT CARE about scriptliss despite saying that he does. (put a note about the "apathetic part")

This shows us a lot about the characters. Dussekar knew about rumors, meaning he forgot or didnt care to check on Scriptliss, who was IN HIS. WASTEBASKET.

Scriptliss does actually bring this up in their conversation (see red text), instead of confronting this or apologising for it, he changes the subject, focusing on protag.

Once scriptliss notices this he seems a lot more extroverted and friendly from his demeanor not even 5 seconds ago. Most likely scriptliss does not want anyone to find out what happened in pr2 but he does bring up some very good points.

There was no reason Dussekar should not have been able to check in on Scriptliss. Hes immortal, Dussekars immortal, his wastebasket is RIGHT THERE.

(seriously buddy, you cant spend 5 minutes to attempt to reconcile with you only remaining friend? he seems very willing now)

(i would rewrite lanter and dussekars entire conversation but thats like rewriting the bloody bee movie script)

MUCH IMPROVED OVER TRIGGER IN LIKE EVERY AREA, INCLUDING ITS USE OF KENGO. only real complaint i have is them revealing the Spheres motivations minutes before they are destroyed but thats a fairly minor thing looking at the show as a whole

3.ultraman: mystery of ultraseven

great stuff continuing the momentum of the last mini series, i do have issues with the ultra comic verse that dont get addressed, but regardless it was a great read, interested to see ma boi ace show up in whatever is next

4.kingdom hearts dark road

one of my fav KH stories, elevating xehanort alot, giving insight into how his beliefs formed and i absolutely need this freed from its mobile prison and given the back cover treatment

5. Ork #オーク

i was sceptical as FUCK when this was announced, and inoue and the producer were saying how they wanted to make a sentai season that was a comedy drama aimed at 20somethings, but fuck did they land it. top 3 sentai seasons for sure. taro is my boi somethings like how under written murasame is, alot of the stuff with kijino and the zenkai gears turning into avataro gears plotline that was seemingly dropped ( if the Vs movie addresses this i take back the last one) bothered me, but as a whole i really liked this season

8.Psyren (reread)

this series goes hard. i love the cast and i think more people should read this.

9. Agents of mayhem - dropped got about 8/27 missions thought this. ITS ASS the cars feel awful, esthetical it wants to be overwatch soo bad. in the 4hrs 40mins i played enemies became spongy as shit and the second gat mission bugged turning 3 waves into infante boring and bland AND THATS NOT MENTIONED THE 1 MAJOR BOSS I FOUGHT THAT WAS JUST * puts up shield and summon turret* 3 TIMES THEN THEN BALL JOKE SEGMENT WHERE YOU SHOT ENERGY BALLS. THE BORDERLANDS TEIR REDDIT WRITING IS SO MIND NUMMING FUCK

no "which ones the real one" plot is good. i screamed when they revealed the twist.

For your first question: I think this is a really good example of how talking through other people isn't the best solution. Do you have any way of getting in contact with your cousin directly? Because things are definitely going to be changed and exaggerated if you are talking through your aunt and dad. Once you talk to her, be truthful. Be sincere and tell her how important she is to you. I'm betting she'll come around.

For microfics: Nope, just go for it! You don't have to do anything beforehand, just start! I can't wait to see what you write!

For the last part: First, are you sure you friend is straight? If she definitely is, then yeah, it might not be worth it to say anything? But I mean, you could always try bringing it up casually. Like "Oh, I think you're really pretty!" and see what happens?

With the guy- I know it sounds cliche, but if your friend likes him, stay away. I've been there. I've seen friendships fall apart. It's not worth it, especially since you're not even sure of your feelings. let me tell you some verry exciting things that happened in monday that i couldn’t tell because of my assignments:)

i dressed a bit provocative that day, with business casual pants which hug my body quite tightly and emphasize my curve (especially for the lower part of my body) and a white collared top which also hugs my body very well and is a bit cropped. i even wore a push up bra with it to emphasize my figure lmao. im skinny curvy body type and its a desired type of body where i live so even when i was walking down the streets i could tell the outfit gets good attention, judging by the literal strangers staring at me in awe😭 i actually dont think im so otherworldly pretty but you know some days you just look extraordinarily good? i was having one of those days.

anyway i was a bit late, so he had already started the class when i actually arrived. since i came in late i knocked and walked in, literally everybody went silent and stared at me to admire, EVEN HE STOPPED MID SENTENCE AND LOOKED AT ME LIKE 😯 for a second then he asked why i was late and stuff. then we moved on with the class but this man literally could not take his eyes off of me?? he kept teaching the class with eyes locked on me. and i dont know if it was about me or just random but he had a boner after a few minutes i came in😭 and he gave me soo much attention by teasing me,chatting with me. and he even got playing cards from one of my friends to show me a “magic trick”😭 but guys, there were so many girls by him saying “do me one too” and stuff but he came in front of me, sat down and showed me many tricks😭he got literally so proud of himself every time i actually got shocked lmao. then when he was done with the “magic tricks” he was showing me, he left the classroom saying goodbye to everyone.

as the day went on i came by him solving one of my friends questions and i decided to sit with them. he was solving the exam questions for my friend to do better next time. while he was solving them for my friend, i was also recommending ways he could solve the questions which he was also teasing me with and we both were kind of play-fighting on the solutions. then i actually got mad at something he said so i started to completely ignore him and not talk with him while we were there with other students😭he really didn’t like that and he apologized to me in front of everyone so that we could go on our little chat. and i obviously got normal and forgave him after. but the man that he is, he just doesnt know where the teasing ends so i got mad again,i walked up and walked away. while i was walking away he kept repeating “ elle come back, that was the last time i promise, elle do come back i was just joking” like OMG and for context this man is like ice cold to everyone all the time. so i was actually VERY shocked but i kept walking away and sat somewhere else. not even 5 mins go by and he sends a student to get me to sit with him????😭???? excuse-moi???? very flattered obviously i did go with the student and sat with him. once i got up again after that but not to actually go, just to fix my outfit, he immediately went “don’t go, stay with us” I WAS LIKE😳 “okay” and sat back down.

everything was all amazing, some little things also happened but honestly this would take pages if i were tp actually tell them, so thats all for now:)))

ok so i guess youre just gonna also get my favorite series. i really really like ghost farm because it elicited a very good (for me) reaction from all of my readers and it was one of my longer fics at the time i think. so going with this one i also really like fallen star because we got to see stars perspective of what she was going through during ghost farm

3. a single pale phantom

this is of course another swagger bishie reveal fic. i played around with dash finding out danny was phantom right in front of danny and danny being aware that dash figured it out so this was sort of a break in the norm for me. dash figured out danny was phantom but kept it to himself until danny needed his help and ye jhbvgcf

4. bleeding colors

this one was sort of a rewrite or like a refiguring out of a fic i did in like 2018, just named colors. its (of course) a swagger bishie fic where when your soulmate dies, you see in black and white and dash is having a hell of a time trying to figure out what the fuck is going on so yes there is also a reveal in it too kjhg

5. Dash Phantom

this one i really liked because again dash but i liked being able to play with their relationship in this because they had been friends when they were younger so theres that, plus dash being dannys bully, but then they share this big giant secret, and all at the same time their romantic feelings for each other are growing and it was fun writing the snippets of all that. and also the jokes there were some good jokes in here

what did you think of batdr?

So, grain of salt, at time of writing, I have not played or watched BatDR all the way through; I got it liveblogged to me by a friend (which honestly was an ideal experience) and then watched some cutscenes. INITIAL FEELINGS SUBJECT TO CHANGE.

When BatDR’s release date was announced, I told friends that I thought it was going to be a pretty tight balancing act – if BatDR was REALLY GOOD, it could kill the enthusiasm for the fandom; yknow, a lot of times when you get what you actually want out of a story, the fervour fades. If BatDR was REALLY BAD, I could become too embarrassed about this franchise and not enjoy playing in it anymore. It has to be the perfect balance of messy and unresolved, but not TOO sloppy or thoughtless, and unfortunately for my ability to stop thinking about it, I think it kinda nailed it. BatDR has some heartfelt and startlingly compelling ideas that it executes sort of incoherently, which makes it FASCINATING.

The joke I keep making is that it’s not a sequel, it’s not a prequel, it’s a fanfiction. And I don’t mean that as a diss – it has a fanfic off-the-rails willingness to commit to a wild, self-indulgent take and just go with it, and I think that’s great. But it’s also sort of… disconnected from the original BatIM, in a way? It doesn’t follow BatIM’s themes at all when you think about it. Conflicts and questions in the original game (the downfall of the Studio, Who Was The True Creator Of Bendy, etc.) are strangely brushed aside in this game, rather than developed or resolved.

Which is why you get weird things like, there’s a REAL ACTUAL NEAR-PERFECT TOON BENDY wandering around, but the original BatIM characters (Joey, Henry, Sammy; people you’d expect to have some kind of big feelings about a true toon Bendy) don’t ever get to interact with him because their feelings on toon Bendy aren’t the point here. BatDR explains what the loop in BatIM was, but that’s not something you discover yourself, because the loop is obsolete now – it’s just explained briefly in order to get to the real focus of this game, Joey Drew having a daughter. Even before you get to timeline questions/possible inconsistencies, the game feels less to me like an actual sequel that builds on the previous game, and more like a neat AU with its own headcanons bouncing off of and interpreting the previous game.

Anyway, some random specific thoughts that come to mind:

They really coulda done something with the family theme if they’d just had Wilson go ahead and say who he was early on. Why did that have to be a surprise? I don’t think saving it really added anything.

Everything about Audrey being Joey’s daughter is AMAZING and I can’t stop thinking about this. Absolutely fascinating development. Have a lot of conflicting feelings on how this was handled but THATS FOR ANOTHER POST; I really do like this, though.

"Something he had always wanted, but could never have: A family." SO JOEY'S LIKE, CANONICALLY GAY IN THE GAMES TOO NOW, RIGHT??? THAT'S PRETTY CLEAR CUT????? LIKE ITS THE MOST OBVIOUS REASON JOEY COULDNT HAVE A FAMILY BEFORE??? HES A GAY SINGLE DAD!!!!

I RLY LIKE THE DESIGNS FOR HENRY AND JOEY. I was surprised to find that the way my brain parsed them was like, they’re the designs for the BatDR AU. Like BatDR is a new fan showing off their designs for their crew, and I’m drawing fanart for their cool AU.

The Ink Demon/ Bendy stuff uh, resolved very strangely. Am very into Bendy and the Ink Demon being the same entity but wish that had been explored a little more!

I actually like Sammy’s cameo(s). I’ve always gotten the feeling that the creators of BatIM were never entirely sure what we all saw in Sammy, so if they didn’t have anything they were particularly hyped to do with him, I think cameos were the right call. The Subject 418 moment is PERFECT. NO NOTES. His 5 seconds before getting shot at the end is like, it’s silly that he died immediately and we all joke about it, but also there’s an element of OH, IM SO GLAD HE GOT TO BE HERE FOR THIS for me, too.

GENT being all OOOOO LOOK AT ALL THEIR SUPER UNETHICAL SCIENCE, LOOK HOW SINISTER THEY ARE is kinda uninteresting to me. Something like, a single audiolog going “huh, that’s weird, when GENT left for their new building, all the ink left, too….” would be way more unsettling than explicit confirmation of GENT taking over and doing lethal human experimentation. And like, idk, I feel one of the things that made BatIM compelling was that it had all these spooky tropes, but motivated by a startlingly mundane desire – people believing in a cartoon so strongly that it accidentally veers into unhinged science and dark occult worship along the way. As soon as they’re just doing normal unethical science with ambiguous motives that seem totally disconnected from the studio, it becomes kinda generic.

Nothing about Wilson is coherent, to the extent that I honestly wonder if the original plan for Wilson was different and he had to be shuffled around for some reason.

What else happened in this game….. Im glad alice got a murder party but I don’t know why she’s here. That One Scene with her and Allison feels very fanservicey but not in a bad way lmao.

ok so I have no idea if anyone even cares about this but

MAJOR MANDALORIAN SEASON 3 FINALE SPOILERS (for those who haven't watched it yet)

mandalorian ships (not literal but romantic and familial)

i think that bo katan and the armorer definitely have some unresolved tension going on in the background and it needs to be addressed

i was joking about them getting married when the armorer hands bo katan the torch to light the eternal flame of the mandalorian forge but seriously even if you cant see any of their face or any possible expressions, how are they so in love? like explain to me why i just know they were making melty gooey love eyes at each other in the 5 seconds they handed that torch over

and the way that the armorer just always floats over to bo katan somehow

anyways i ship them and they are canon married in my mind

din grogu?? im obsessed

that whole adoption scene was just the cutest thing ever

i was just screaming the entire scene cuz he was like oh what if his parents are ok with him being an apprentice? and everyone just looks at him and we just know that he's finally going to adopt grogu its just so cute and soft and god they are literally the perfect duo

i also love the way that grogu and din save each other whenever it comes to it cuz the way that grogu stepped in when din was down in the fight against moff gideon and then djarin came back and saved grogu from the spanish inquisition

ALSO

i love that axe woves got a lowkey redemption arc he was a bit of a dick in the beginning buuuuut i know we all were like ok maybe hes a little bit fine and he did end up being fine hell he even almost sacrificed himself for them all but of course we love mando tech and he got to escape so thats all good

the finale was pretty final

im unsure whether we are expecting another season or not? but i heard there was a movie if someone wants to confirm any of this info that would be cool

I know this is just a skill issue but i have yet to have a good experience playing sendouq as someone relatively new to comp splatoon and here's my reasoning

This is a long one so strap in

So, I've been wanting to get more into the competative side of splatoon since splatoon 2, I got super into watching top level players like Chara and DUDE and wanted in on it

By splatoon 3 I was getting way better results with my favorite weapon, Range Blaster, and found some new favorites that happened to be pretty good, the splatanas, so hearing about SendouQ, an alternative to playing Anarchy or X battles for "any rank of player" to find scrims and yknow play with voice chat or on the same team with a friend, I thought "oh that's great I can finally get into the real competative and maybe make some friends along the way"

So I joined the qeue, asked to join some groups to make a team, and waited, a bit longer than I hoped but i had no games under my belt yet so that was to be expected. Once we were in we were assigned as being an iron team, the lowest rank, and we would go against a silver team, the next highest. Now these scrims are played in a best of 7 format, we play until one team gets 4 wins and then that team wins the set.

So, we played like, 5 games and lost, no big deal, but I noticed my team were really bummed about it and we didn't really joke around much so that kinda soured the set, the next we got carried by a platnum player and we won 4 games in a row, kinda boring but it happens.

Next 2 sets we lose after spending 20 minutes waiting for team invites to be accepted, waiting for another team to play against which most likely wasn't a team we would be evenly matched against, usually silver or gold players, and then being bullied for 4-6 games before moving onto the next scrim, not to mention I sometimes was forced to play cooler support, a role I do not enjoy playing because I don't particularly like any of the cooler weapons too.

And then the last one I ever played, the same SendouQ routine happened, except the previous times I at least had the luxury of having 3 cordial, patient teammates, this time I did not. I got yelled at, and then the person who yelled at me then started ranting to the rest of the team in german, mind you, the reason that particular teammate was so pissed off is that we were losing, mainly because of mistakes made by me, the cooler support, the one who didn't fucking even want to play support and was only now just picking up bucket for these sets.

And thats when it dawned on me. None of these 5 scrims yet were evenly matched. Either my team would be shitstomped or we got lucky with who accepted our invite, none of these scrims had me face an iron team, nor did I ever make any new friends from them, so I'm just left with a feeling of getting my ass beat with nothing to show for it, only to wait for the next assbeating to commence. And then sometimes I don't even get to play what I want to play or even what I feel comfortable with. Sometimes I'd get forced into the support role and cost us the game cause I don't play support, and then I'd get yelled at when I don't play a weapon I had 30 seconds to get used to well?? How the hell is this for all levels of play?

To say that is just a lie. Yeah its not like you need to be S+ or have a certain X power to participate, but I was not able to get into a game where I wasn't way less mechanically skilled than everyone else, you might as well be gatekeeping less skilled players because I could not compete whatsoever. It simply was not fun in the slightest.

It wouldn't even be a problem if it weren't for the fact that this is the ONLY WAY to play in a competative setting with VC, or communication in general, and the only way to play comp with friends. The point I'm trying to make is this:

Don't play games competatively

Okay so i gotta talk about Gen V ep 5 or am gonna explode!

And gotta talk about The Boys S4 spoilers for 2 reasons... 1) something mentioned by Dr Cardosa in the episode and 2) the VoughtHQ twitter leaker... mainly cuz am getting this after trying to check on a leak from season 4... their twitter also wont load for me... like can we just let Becca Saunders rest? Can her poor life stop being milked for manpain??

Spoilers under cut obvi.

First-- off congrats Marie and Jordan I hope you 2 get married and be the power couple this universe needs.

Second here its out Butcher cameo lol. I think this is from S1 after killing madelyn but seeing him in a beanie its so weird altho there is a Homelander article in the same page so who knows.

Third-- Cate you poor bitch!! I felt so betrayed but i dont doubt she its being brainwashed/groomed by Dean Shety so maybe she can be redeemed and her powers are too strong.... i dont doubt that there its a chance she its involved in who appears in ep 6 if thats not a halucination.

Fourth-- Dr. Cardosa mentioning a virus to deal with them... so i guess thats how we r gonna deal with the supe population and why i think the vought hq leak might be real as it mentions the virus as well... i think its super interesting that Vought its developing a virus to kill supes, i guess stan edgar did had a way to make V24 viable despite having supes and maybe a way to get rid of Homelander... by giving him the common cold i guess.

Fifth-- am glad that Maverick is another bisexual king but its the bestiality jokes necessary?? altho I assume his alpaca gf Sloane its just a shapeshifter. So far we got Marie, Jordan, Emma, Cate and Andre as our bisexual monarchs and thats basically the whole cast sans Sam... absolutely iconic Kripke, best apology after fucking up Dean Winchester but i wont forgive you for what u did... still thank you.

Sixth-- the pv for the next ep has fucking Soldier Boy!!! Deep down i feel he its most likely a halucination... saw some ppl theorizing that Cate its mindstorm daughter and she witnessed Mindstorm getting killed by SB so she will use her powers to send them to a mind prison to fight SB which is absurd but i doubt SB its there unless Cate's powers were use to brainwash soldier boy and use him as a weapon in the future, as his powers r too good plus is Vought wants to kill all supes then it makes sense for them to team up with the american govt and have SB as back up while they work with the Superona.

Seventh-- i only now noticed there its a wall poster for homie and loneliness on those school mental health ads which is sad and funny.

Eight-- overall great episode loved how much its happening and its only been days inside the canon, and fuck Rufus! How its the next 3 eps gonna kill me!! Like its too freaking much!!

And finally this shit...

I would not be surprised if this virus is the one being developed in The Woods by Vought, second if this is real then Butcher its a complete pos and a hypocrite i expect the following scenarios of: a) during the time Becca was raped or the wk she went missing thats when Butcher cheated on Becca so its not hatred that motivated his revenge against Homelander but guilt for cheating on his wife... probably with his married fbi plug if i had to take a guess. Or B) Becca learned of his affair decided to have her own affair with Homelander tried to end it which resulted in her S.A. which its why Homelander doesnt see what he did as rape bcuz i guess its not assault if its ur GF/Wife in his mind.

And i guess he takes V or the V24 never left his body unless some Supe can give powers which cause Butcher to use them am so confused is he like a power conduit???

I am gonna say Frenchie or MM will die in this story unless by main characthers they mean any of the Seven, Vought execs or Neuman... doubt Hughie, Starlight, Kimiko or Homelander are gonna die in S4.... but maybe Ashley who knows.

And finally giving cookies to Ryan did like HL saw the tumor felt sad for Butcher and decided to let him see Ryan? or did Ryan just sneaked out and met Billy??
