Really hoping that Sam Kirk becomes the "oh my god, they've killed Kenny" of SNW. Maybe retcon his death in TOS, too. Just Sam Kirk, constantly dying on every away mission.

As soon as Sam leaves, M'Benga breathes easy for the first time in months, until he hears that another Kirk is getting transferred to the ship, and rumour has it he's fast on his way to becoming Captain.
