You ever find something so good to read that you can't possibly actually read it? Like it's just. So good. How can I read something this good. I can't handle even a sentence of how good this is.
the fact that dazai is the strategic one in soukoku makes the goose!dazai au 1000000x better
AGREED especially since @originalartblog's lore for this AU specifies that Dazai speaks only in honks—so from an audience perspective Dazai is honking out a strategy, and Chuuya just goes "What was that Dazai? We have to use Corruption? Ugh, fine."
Speaking of corruption, Nawy's dead apple screenshot edit with goosamu still kills me, every time I look at it I end up laughing until I'm in tears
IF THERE WAS A QUIZ ON WHAT ELECTROFOREZ SONG ARE YOU I'LL BE HOPING I'D GET THIS ONE BECAUSE HONESTLY!! if you've never heard ANY of their songs, this one is one of the best as I feel?.. It's just so beautifuly written AND I NEED SOMEONE TO TALK ABOUT THE SYMBOLISM IN THIS FOR HOURS. Vampire theme & catchy lyrics (if you understand russian!) & very interesting and like... idk? It's so hard to get tired of the instrumental, it's sooo energic I think? And I just love that. My brain loves it way too much I think skkks
As a person who is extremely particular about musicals, I would like to give a glowing recommendation for Guillermo Del Toro’s “Pinocchio” for being the first piece of art ever that legitimately made me want a musical number literally seconds before every single one. I was also never disappointed. I didn’t even know it was a musical going in, but right before the first number I legit thought to myself, “Oh, this would very strangely be an amazing place for a musical number, I’ve never actually wanted one of those before,” and then it happened and I lost my mind.
Cannot emphasize how this has never happened to me before. I’m feeling new things about musicals here. They did the music just right. Not just the lyrics, but the buildup to the songs themselves. The voices. The movements. More than that, the segues made sense and a whole new world has been laid bare before my eyes.
This movie is a masterclass in tone, plot development, and cohesive storytelling. (All of this is rounded out by a solid condemnation of fascism, which all musicals are, in my humble opinion, improved by.) The music, the animation, the voice acting—all of it contributes to the whole in ways very few films manage to do.
10/10, I want to own this on blu-ray and also possibly find a way to preserve it forever.
“... they heard a clueless Cao Weining lament beside them. ‘I always feel like you two being together is a little strange, considering that you are both men; but after today I have finally understood: Being men or women has nothing to do with someone who is able to understand you with a mere few words, someone who can complete you like a pair of immortal soulmates.’ “
my negative rizz loser boy who you’d think was combatting the sirens’ song by completely killing the vibe but was actually just trying to sing along with them because he’s a ✨fanboy✨
