I was just coming in to give an update!!!!!

Madrid lost 2-0 to Real Sociedad.

We have 5 more matches left which leaves with a potential of 15 points to be played.

If Madrid drops any points against Getafe on Saturday we are champions even before we hit the pitch on Sunday against Espanyol.

A Real loss would leave us with a 14 point difference and only 12 in dispute so mathematically impossible to catch up to us. This is assuming they lose and we don’t even get any points (concluding matchday 34 of 38) If they tie with Getafe we would still be with a 13 point difference before we even play against Espanyol so again mathematically impossible to lose La Liga.

Atleti plays tomorrow against Cadiz and if they win they’ll be at 69 points so they’ll be 2nd place. This would leave us at 13 point difference and this is where we have to be careful… Atleti’s game tomorrow is still part of matchday 33, so if they win tomorrow they would be at 13 points from us and with still 15 points left to play 😬 so we would DEFINITELY have to win against Espanyol. A win for us on matchday 34 would leave us with 85 points and Atleti with either 72or 70. So either a 13 or 15 point difference with only 12 points left to play so we would be crowned once we win against Espanyol. A tie against Espanyol would leave us with 83 and then we have to suffer a little more if Atleti wins because then they would be at 72 so an 11 point difference with 12 points in dispute.

Soooo while I would love for Atleti to take second and beat Real to third, Idk if my anxiety can take so much suspense against Espanyol.

one of the first matches with potter he played a 433 and i remember we won that game even tho i don’t remember who it was against 💀 and even though i know we have different players and everything now etc i still feel like that’s what works better for us as a team as well. not to mention a few things we have spoken about before as well, such as him playing them out of position like on extremely different positions as well, plus them probably not knowing what to expect whenever they get there on matchday while he announces who’s about to start and so and so on. it must be weird for them as well i imagine 😬 i agree with you sarah <3
