#poorly drawn mdzs #better drawn mdzs #mdzs #madam lan #A-qing #Band AU #(Reminder that Madam Lan's design inspiration goes to Qourmet!)#Madam Lan may have been the winner per vote count but there were so many strong advocates for A-Qing!#I played around with a few versions of what the 'poll winner' art was going to be and ultimately decided I wanted them both.#As any good theater love knows though - The battle for leadership was a ruse. They *all* get a chance to be featured.#Cooperation was the real end goal! However I do think these two have the best frontman energy of the group.#Or at least 'crowd favourite' energy. I also really loved hearing what people thought their vocal styles would be like!#This was probably one of my favourite polls to do and I love drawing these characters a lot B*)#I'd love to spend a bit more time in this AU so count on me bringing it back.#One thing I keep feeling like I need to redeem myself on is Madam Lan's Translucent skirt. I have *not* done the concept justice yet.#It is such a crack-platonic ship but I want to think Madam Lan and A-Qing would enjoy each other's company.#Possibly also with JYL as well. They can be like mutually beneficial therapy dogs to each other.#Madam Lan never got to see her kids grow up into teenagers after all. She only had sons. Never daughters.#Even if she saw her kids once a month we do know she treated them with so much love and kindness.#She would bite the shit out of YZY for yelling at JYL. What a sight to see. A-Qing would also start biting (for fun).

Huge news everyone I have noticed TWO new Ray guitars tonight: a white strat and a red SG

#i think he may have used the SG a couple other times so far but it hasnt been on my list #as soon as tour is over im genuinely considering going through every concert and compiling a full list of frank and rays guitars #i started one a while ago but they both keep adding more #he should bring out the explorer i havent seen her on stage yet :'(#he used one back in danger days and it looks GOOD on him #i mean sunburst LPs will always be Rays Guitar. but the explorer and ES look so good on him theyre a close second #weird to see him with a strat but im a strat hater so thats not a surprise #also its all white 🤢 my single least favourite guitar im SORRY at least franks is all black

No. @respectthepetty you cannot just make this flippant remark when this thought popped into my head during ep 7 or 8 - I don't remember when because I blocked it out as soon as I thought it. I think I was contemplating other people's thoughts that Pearmai and Kwan should end up together - because LESBIANS! - and then I thought It would be funny if Not also turned out to be gay...but that would mean everyone was gay and I didn't think the show would do that... but... and I hate to say it, but what if?

Let's look at the evidence.

Not is the exaggerated toxic masculinity Bro. But maybe that is all a front - maybe he's overcompensating - to hide the part of himself he doesn't want people to know about (because that's nothing that's ever happened before).

I wonder if Not like-liked Pisaeng at school? Is that why he felt so put-out over Pisaeng seemingly choosing a girl over him? If he didn't want to fight Pisaeng, what did he want to do?

I mean, he was very invested in whether Pisaeng and Pearmai would have sex.

One of the other Bros asks if Not thinks Pisaeng will score and his response?: "Damn right, he will." Why is he so sure? Is it because he thinks Pisaeng is hot and obviously no one can resist him?

But now, maybe Not is starting to like-like Kawi... He thinks Kaw's cool. He thought Kawi was dating Max and then looked disappointed when Kawi said he wasn't. He's happy to state he thinks Kawi is cute. And thinks Kawi is gay (maybe he was looking for Pearmai to confirm his suspicions so that he could feel better about himself).

He called Kawi to sit with him on the bus instead of with Pearmai. He likes to touch Kawi when he can. Maybe he pushed Kawi to confess to Pearmai so that Kawi could get rejected...because if Not can't have him then no one can.

He didn't actually get the girl...so is that because he doesn't actually like girls?

He writes complicated books...and is a sensitive soul deep down who just needs some encouragement.

He dates Pearmai and Kwan at the same time...but maybe that's because he could never shake off the 'straight man' persona he had built for himself. And so leaned into it so much he didn't care what he was doing.

I don't like this at all. It's highly circumstantial...BUT as I'm writing this I think I actually want it to happen. Because this series has already shown that not only is a community important for accepting and developing who you are but also that as Kawi develops himself he also enables the people around him to flourish in their own selves - Max and Pisaeng as examples. So what if that does also extend to Pearmai and Kwan (go lesbians go!) and also Not.

What if Not sees how Kawi has changed, how open he and Pisaeng get to be about their relationship? What if that paves the way for Not to admit and accept who he is? (shhhhhh what if Not and Max end up together?). I don't want a redemption arc for Not...but if it's this kind of redemption then I'll accept it.

im gonna be honest, we dont have many bobby hcs (i really wanna change that, i fucking ADORE bobby - and, if its any help, i actually have a fic up ((dont look back in anger)) where he’s a main character!! although its an au, i hope it’ll suffice for now :3)

- bobby is definitely a prankster, but like, hes NOTORIOUS for it. and not in the bad way. he has silly pranks that only mildly inconvenience the person on the receiving end (like the dumping water on lmq and cals heads after races) and he’s Always at the scene of the crime when something silly happens. he just Is the embodiment of silly. and yes i know this is canon for the most part but hes literally just so silly i cant not include it

- hes the youngest of the trio, the baby, even, he’s a december baby, born in 1988 (same year as lightning - cal is an ‘87 baby i believe - so when bobby started racing in 2007 he was still 18) but just at the End, whereas lightning was born in may . despite this he’s still the tallest, and probably the most well built of the three . aka lightning is scrawny and cal is just Average. and when lightning makes fun of him for being a Baby hes like ok well ure literally short as hell. what about that. huh? what can you do about your height? i’ll have a birthday but you dont have a get taller day? huh? and lightnings like. well. okay.

- i feel like he befriended cal first, like, he and lightning “hated” each other but it was less hate and more lightning being incapable of making friends (lmq and cal met at the infield care center after strips crash, so they were friends ever since then) and so cal was just in the middle of this “rivalry” that was in reality like. hey. cal. i think that bobby guy is really cool do u think he’d wanna be my friend. and cals like I DONT KNOW TALK TO HIM? and they talk and theyre like wow i actually thought u hated me (theyre best friends now)

- bobby both has an iconic autograph, but hes also so good with his fans its impossible for anyone to hate him. he has so many iconic pictures and literally everyone he meets praises him for his kindness and blatant silliness . hes just super easy going and generally amazing to be around

- out of all the racers hes probably got the most amusing advertisements as well, he will go ALL IN for whatever octane gain (or his smaller/secondary sponsors) want from him, and its so Genuine it just feels like he LOVES to be there

- he loves taylor swift. AND I KNOW WHAT YOURE GONNA SAY. “ITS STEREOTYPICAL” BUT NO U DONT GET IT.. SHE DOESNT MATCH THE REST OF HIS MUSIC TASTE AT ALL. hes the last person you’d ever expect to listen to her. he says its because they have the same last name so hes obligated to be a fan, but also the day Taylor Swift (album) debuted he bought the dvd and forced the other two to listen to the entire thing multiple times on a road trip and its safe to say that since the day taylor swift has existed, lightning and cal have feared her album release dates.

- hes the burnout king. every race he wins he will do a burnout down the frontstretch in front of the grandstands that will take his tires down to the RIMS. the tire marbles are INSANE

THIS IS ALL I HAVE IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY 😭😭 i wish i had more and i WILL eventually make more trust me on that.. but thank you so much for the ask and i hope u liked them :3

Int: So, you were the designated driver most of the time, then were you?

May: Oh... you know, it was great - when we were back in the States, when we were back in New York and you know, we had the car, we had this car, and we'd go out to visit, John was so thrilled at the fact that I would be the one driving, that it was just the two of us, there wasn't... he didn't go for the limos and all that. I mean, he understood it like if we're going to an opening, that's different, but you know on the daily basis he'd rather not deal with that, you know. And of course I took him on a New York City bus ride one Saturday morning and he was so shocked and all these people are sitting on the bus... getting on the bus and they see him and they're going... and you could hear the whispering, they're going "Is that John Lennon?", "No, it can't be!", "Yes, no I'm telling you, I think it is!". And then John's sitting there going like this with his finger holding onto his face and he's going "Tsk... it's the nose - it's giving it away, it's the nose." And then somebody finally yelled out and said "Hey, John! How you doing?" and he goes "Fine!" and he turned to me, "It's time to get off the bus."
