You know the look in Jaemin’s eyes. It’s the same look he gives his cats, the look he has when he’s doing things he loves. Above all, though, it’s the look he gives you. Sure, you’re his first girlfriend, but you know a man in love when you see one. He thinks you don’t notice it either. You see the look in his eyes when you catch him looking at you, listening intently to whatever you’re telling him. You could be saying the most mundane thing, and he looks at you as if you hung each celestial body with your own hands. The look in his eye is nothing short of pure, unbridled love. 

“Are you almost ready?” your boyfriend asks, still fiddling with his camera.

“Mhm,” you respond, “Just getting my sandals now.”

Jaemin planned out a whole afternoon for the two of you to go out and have a picnic followed by wandering through a flower farm nearby. It’s late summer so the sunflowers are in full bloom and showing their bright petals for everyone. Your boyfriend just couldn’t resist bringing his camera along to capture the beauty of it all. 

“I thought you said you only had to grab your sandals.” you hear your boyfriend tease lightly from the bathroom doorway.

Small things seem to never go unnoticed. Despite this being Jaemin’s first proper relationship you find yourself being more adored by him than anyone you’ve ever been romantically involved with. Your afternoon is spent full of fun and, of course, your boyfriend’s loving gaze on you when he thinks no one is paying attention. The afternoon quickly bleeds into night though and you find yourself back at home and getting ready for bed. Jaemin is already uploading all the pictures from his camera to his computer. 

After removing your makeup and changing into something far more comfortable. (Namely one of Jaemin’s t-shirts and lounge shorts). You find yourself shuffling over to his computer chair and wrapping your arms around his shoulders. Pressing a kiss into his temple, you look at him editing pictures already. A smile grows on his lips before placing a kiss against your forearm. Every time he comes across a picture of scenery, you watch as he meticulously edits the pictures to make them appear just as he wishes. However, every time you’re in a picture, he hardly edits anything. The most he does is enhance the lighting and shadows to make you stand out more.

“Why aren’t you editing my photos like you do everyone else’s?” you ask, “You never edit out blemishes or edit coloring like you do for everyone else you take photos of.”

“What is there to edit?” he asks, “You’re stunning all on your own. You’re everything I could ever ask for. What you see as blemishes, I see as another beautiful quality that makes you, you.”

He turns his chair and pulls you to sit in his lap.

“Even now,” he starts, eyes dripping with love, “your hair is a mess, not a single drop of makeup on your face, clothes that aren’t meant to look flattering. You are the most gorgeous person I’ve ever seen. You’re my first love, and I pray to whatever may be that you’ll be my last too.”

“Would you like something to drink?”, Phil eagerly asked the young Mormon missionary, who’d just knocked on his door just a couple of minutes ago, asking if he would like to hear about the Savior. Aaron slowly sipped on the tea as he went through the pamphlets. The whole time Phil just stared at the young man who was sitting next to him on the couch instead of the papers in front of him, anxiously anticipated the sign of the “sugar” taking effect on the unsuspected victim.

My stand on the Transgender Genocide

For the last week, I've been online, and researched, and warned, and read... All about two topics:

Cat Pictures - I just can't live without them.

Genocide - and about this I should continue writing this post. No more cat pics.

What's a genocide?, you may ask. Well, it is not necessarily systematic murder in camps of specific groups. It is any kind of an attempt to remove a group from society. It can be any kind of group:

Individuals of Species, a Sub-Species, or a Race within the Species

Individuals that carry a specific look, gene, or attribute

Believers of an ideology or religion

Basically, any kind of group. And no, it is not necessarily related to genes.

What's the problem with a genocide, then? If genocide means a removal of a certain group from society, what's the problem? If one honestly asks this question, they probably have been brainwashed at least once. And that's a completely different topic. I'll assume (and believe) genocide is bad for the entirety of the post.

What's the danger for us? For us, trans people - or any person - that is a huge danger. Genocide usually continues to murder, and usually doesn't stay restrained to a single group. The Nazis started with killing trans people, too. It means loss of our rights and our ownings - and later, our lives.

I accidentally deleted this paragraph. Oops. I'll rewrite it the best I can remember. I DELETED IT AGAIN I HATE MYSELF.

That won't happen to me. That's what the Jews thought pre-WW2. People really don't like their bubble being poken - the brain tries to protect itself, by the most valid strategy at the time - complete denial. No offense intended.

But the children! There are two responses to this sentence:

Your children will feel much safer being able to express themselves without crappy ideologies restraining them from doing so.

Children growing up in a place where rights are being taken from a group, will know very well not to join nor declare themselves a part of said group. That's just human survival instinct.

I'll stay and fight! Your choice. I'm a scared piece of crap, so I won't. Heavily unrecommended.

How can I flee? Here's something I wrote about that in a Reddit comment.

The Jews thought the same thing before WW2. They didn't believe the Nazis would murder them. They didn't want to run. Six million of them were wrong.

Run for your life. Now. Take all your assets. Cash only. Take digital stuff, and papers that prove you own something - but they'll be worth something only AFTER the genocide will end, so make sure you have physical valuable stuff. But the country CAN and WILL revoke your ownings. And not in USD - take it in another currency. You don't want your money not to be accepted because of sanctions, or the value of the money to drop because of a war.

You will want to move all the ownings you weren't able to take with you to the ownership of someone you trust, or to another country's banks (recommending the swiss).

Plan ahead. There'll be lots of refugees. The genocide won't stay restricted to only trans people. You will want to have valuable stuff to pay to people for food and a place to live in the country you'll be in. Secure a place to live.

And most importantly: flee. Tell all LGBTQIA+ people. Especially trans people. And don't say "I'm stealth", the government will seize your medical history and find out. The government will track you online. Don't say "it's illegal", because genocide is illegal, and they'll take any step possible to exterminate us.

Flee from the US. It's not about keeping those who will find out they're trans, and don't know yet - they'll grow up with enough internalized transphobia not to dare to say anything to anybody. It's not about a long term plan. This is about IMMEDIATE SURVIVAL.

Take a loan, to afford the tickets and housing in Europe or Canada or whatever place you wanna go to. It'll be invalidated when the law declares us inferior and non-human, when they'll forbid us from having bank accounts.

I'm NOT crazy. I'm Jewish, and German. My great grandfather was smart enough to run away, before he was murdered. His entire family - dead. This is a reboot of my culture and family's most remembered and important event. This, my friends, will be a holocaust.

They'll systematically murder and exterminate us. No remorse. They won't even see us as human beings. Flee the country. Please. Don't let hell collect another six million people.

And no, Hitler didn't go this far. He just said we're inferior, and should be murdered so "natural" selection will do its job. *They* are trying to finish Hitler's job. The monster that systematically murdered people, Jews, people of color, trans people, gays, intersex people, autistic people, and more and more - still has a legacy. We must run, and we must defend ourselves.

Canada seems like the best option - refugee status - but we know not if a genocide will be the only thing to happen. As far as we know, the USA could start WW3. After all, transphobia and racism commonly come together. If the republicans will win the elections - those who stayed are doomed. If the democrats win - it is only a delay, not a win.

knowing him, she kept her bucket safe by putting it aside before greeting him with the famous phrase. it's a good thing too, since the treats he gave her were a warm hug and cheeks that were pink from being pinched to match with it. of course, when he asked if she had anything for him in return, she handed him the cup of instant cook ramen which was, in fact, the only treat she'd brought for her trip. you know, just favorite member things.

lua is yeosang's favorite. everyone knows that—the members do, atinys do, even non-fans can see it. but that doesn't mean he can't play a small trick on her from time to time. so when it was his time to shine, he gave her a packet of jelly belly's bean boozled. actually it wasn't less of a trick and more of a weapon that she can use against wooyoung once he pulls another prank on her.

okay yeah, lua is definitely yeosang's favorite.

SAN !

on the count of one, everyone act surprised that he gave her a treat. gasp! he thought of playing a trick on her; really, he did—uh huh, sure—but backed out last minute and gave her a lucky cat lamp that he caught her eyeing last week. atinys definitely enjoyed watching this section of the vlog, seeing as how the two bickered over whether she should receive it or not. in the end, san kinda won, kinda lost—he got treated to a kiss on the cheek.

honestly wasn't expecting it, this one was such a plot twist. everyone knows that the girl hates slime, she's made that clear on several occasions before. but seeing as how it's the day of spooks, mingi thought it'd be a good idea to let her dig in a box for her treat. she only took one second to process what she was touching, then another to yank her hand out of it, causing the box to fly away.

she gave him the benefit of the doubt, okay? seeing as how he plays tricks on her every once in a while, she thought that day would be one of those where he would be nice. but wooyoung doesn't know what that word means, and she ended up using the camera stick to defend herself from the “monster” that had snuck up on her while she was roaming through the company. even though he just made her soul jump into the next dimension, she still gave him a treat—not.

so technically, what jongho gave her is a trick. i mean, who likes receiving apple slices on the one day of the year where filling your stomach with as much sugar as you can is excused? but lua saw it as a treat because he took the time to peel the fruit and remove the seeds before cutting it up. she didn't even let the members know what she was going to do for the special day, so how did he prepare? (spoiler alert: hwa told everyone right after she left him to meet joong.)

either way, it's a treat in lua's books, and that's that.

BONUS: STRAY KIDS !

in hindsight, lua should have messaged inka to let her know that she was going to visit. at least some of the members were home, she supposed she could work with that. and it actually did work great: bang chan had the same reaction as seonghwa when he saw her, jeongin requested—on behalf of himself and jisung who still acts too starstruck to speak up—to get some pictures with her, and felix gave her a mini bag of his famous brownies.

uh huh, she definitely had to visit the skz dorm more often.

MLB Season 4 Character Analysis: "Dearest Family"

Introduction

Hey everyone, I'm back with another season 4 character analysis and this time it's "Dearest Family". You may be wondering where my analysis for "Qilin" is so the answer is that it got removed for some reason and I have no idea why because I made it just like my other posts so far so until I get the answer and understand what's going on we're going to be moving on with episode 21. If you're new to this series then here I look at our favourite MLB characters in depth in every individual episode of season 4 in order to give an overall picture of the characters' journey throughout the season.

Yeah, so "Dearest Family", good episode. We see for the first time that our perfect little kwami, Tikki is not as perfect as she seems due to her obsession over sweets, Marinette trying to figure out what it all means, and her family members arguing over what's best for her. So this analysis is probably going to have the most characters POVs we've had since "Crocoduel". So let's get started.

Character POVs

Tikki

"I was afraid you would thing less of me. Because of my cravings"

For the very first time, we see Tikki have some weaknesses and some characterization. Ever since the beginning, Tikki has always just been Marinette's guide and bright-side-up to help her through difficult times but never had any character of her own. But here, we see that she has cravings for new and unique sweets that happens every few hundred years and according to Plagg, the last time it happened was when chocolate was invented and she made it rain chocolate for eight weeks.

The reason for Tikki's abnormal food cravings compared to other kwamis is due to her being the kwami of creation which makes a lot of sense. Tikki's sweet cravings seem to be so dangerous that all the other kwamis in the Miracle Box are afraid of her and that says a lot. These cravings went to the extent that she even used her power without having a holder which caused a giant galette bigger than the Earth to be made and affected the Earth's gravity but thankfully it was destroyed by Cat Noir as Astro Cat.

When Tikki saw that her cravings were taking her away from Marinette, she stopped as her worst fear, as she stated to Marinette, being afraid that her cravings would make her think less of her, came to reality which really shows how much she cares about her relationship with Marinette and shows the strength of her bond with her. When Marinette tell her that she can help her overcome her weaknesses, this is what gives her strength to try to overcome her cravings.

2. Marinette/Ladybug

"Of course not! I'll always like you, Tikki. Everyone has weaknesses, you know. Let me help you overcome yours. Just like you helped me overcome mine."

This episode is seems that the roles of Marinette and Tikki have been reversed. Tikki has always been the one to help Marinette with her problems and share wisdom on what she should do and encourage her to be better. But now Marinette is making it up to Tikki by helping her overcome her weaknesses.

When Marinette first discovered that Tikki's craving, she was in denial that Tikki had some sort of problem as she believes that she knows Tikki best even when the other kwamis warned her about Tikki's cravings. She tried to control the situation by stopping her from eating their family's galette and transforming into Ladybug to prevent her from eating more which backfired as she got the craving as well when she was transformed.

When Marinette saw that Tikki was going as far as using her power without a holder to appease her cravings, she realized her mistake and admitted that Sass was right about Tikki and she didn't know her as well as she thought and when Tikki revealed to her that the reason why she never told her about her cravings was because she believed that she would think less of her, Marinette assured her that they would work to overcome her weaknesses together just like Tikki has always helped Marinette with her weaknesses.

3. Sabine

"The person who knows best what Marinette needs is Marinette herself!"

Moving onto the family argument on what is best for Marinette, we'll start with Sabine. From her perspective, Marinette is the only person who knows what's best for her and she's old enough to do so and she is the one I most agree with.

We've seen how Marinette is good with planning and is always helping other people and coming up with great ideas, both as a civilian and as Ladybug. It's best to treat her as someone with her own individuality and her own mind and let her to make her own choices. And by the end of the episode too this is what we see them go with: letting Marinette decide what she thinks about getting a motorbike as a gift from her grandmother and decide whether she is old enough for a gift like that.

4. Tom

"I know my little girl better than anyone else and I think that bike is way too dangerous for her"

Next we have Tom, who believes that Marinette needs some like him to protect her and he believes that the motorbike that Gina got for Marinette is too dangerous for her which makes sense for his character considering the events of "Weredad", where he gets akumatized because he wants to protect her little girl, Marinette from heartbreak.

Tom cares about his daughter a lot and would go to great lengths to protect her, he even stated in "Stoneheart (Origins Part 2)" that he would protect her if Ladybug and Cat Noir failed to do so which at the time seemed like it was just a lighthearted joke but we know from "Weredad" now that it's true. By the end of this episode though, he realizes that he should let Marinette decide if the gift is best for her and their conflict is resolved.

5. Gina

"Happy Birthday, Marinetta!"

Next we have Gina, who was the one got Marinette the motorbike for her birthday which she didn't realize was just months ago due to her not spending much time with them as she travels the world on her motorbike.

The last time when she arrived to visit Marinette, she believed that Marinette was younger than she actually is due to the same problem that cause her to not realize that Marinette's birthday was months ago in this episode and it was in that episode that she realized that Marinette was no longer a little girl who ate candies and liked doing things like going to the petting zoo and going on the merry-go-round and was now a young woman who liked hanging out with her friends. So it makes sense for her now to get her a big girl gift like a motorbike and believing that Marinette is old enough for something like that. By the end of the episode though, she lets Marinette decide what she thinks and when Marinette decided that she was still to young for the bike, Gina was OK with it.

6. Rolland

"How can anyone have their head so far up in the clouds? A birthday is a birthday and a Galette's Day is a Galette's Day!"

Lastly, we have Rolland who still seems to be a little old-fashioned from "Simpleman". When Gina brings the motorbike as a gift for Marinette he believes that Marinette is not old enough to have one yet similar to Tom and believes that Marinette still requires discipline to be able to ride the bike.

This makes sense for Rolland's character as it's traditional for someone only to be able to have a motorbike when they are around 21 and before that they can't drive at all. Unlike, Tom he believes that Marinette needs someone to teach her about order and discipline before she can ride a motorbike and not someone to protect her. By the end of the episode, he realizes that he should take Marinette's choice into account and when Marinette decides that she's not old enough for the bike but instead should have a mini-scooter, he is OK with it

Alright, here’s the completed version of the trio’s house in The Sims 4! I’ve been working on this on and off for about a week, and I’m pretty happy with how it turned out overall. All of the screenshots with some additional info under the cut

This is the living room, it’s one of the more minimalist rooms in the house, but I like it

A little detail I like is that as well as the gaming console, there’s an item that represents everyone in the area: A potted plant for Teddy, some blue candles for Luna, and a cute little knitted octopus for Kit (I recently came up with the idea that one of Kit’s hobbies would be knitting/fabricworking since she would love the idea of making a piece of clothing for herself out of a roll of fabric with a flame pattern or another similar design, which would also lead to her working with yarn as well. I’m sharing this bc there’s a lot of furniture in the house that reflects this, it’s not just a random infodump hklfghklfgh)

This is the part that I’m most excited about, since there’s a lot of details in the bedrooms that I want to talk about (and I really like how the bedrooms turned out). This is Teddy’s bedroom, and as you can see, it is very plant themed

This photo shows off a lot of things that I’d like to talk about, so the caption for this is probably going to be pretty long. Starting with the desk, the pencils in the cup are mostly for him to write on sticky notes that he would occasionally put in books that he would read. The (Probably impossible to see) photo in the frame on the desk is literally just an apple on a white background. It’s mostly there because it was the nicest looking decoration that would fit in that spot, but for some reason I think it would be in character for Teddy to have a framed picture of an apple on his desk. Moving onto the shelf above his bed, the tiny orange and blue thing is a little knitted bear that Kit made for him. The flower lamp below it was put there because it looked nice, but now that I think about it, it would be perfect for reading in bed

The cute decal above the door is from The Sims version of Pokemon, which I think he would enjoy a lot. The things on the shelf to the left are beverage cans (I think they’re basically thermoses) and a camera, since he would like to take photos of nature and his friends. The penguin with a hat and the 3 green pixels on the bookshelf are more little knitted guys from Kit, the other two things are a cherry blossom tree snowglobe and a bottle of honey from Honeycomb Village that he keeps as a memento

Lastly, there’s his nice floral design dresser, which has two of his favorite things on top of it 

Onto Kit’s rooms, this has just as many if not more things to ramble about, so the long chunks of text aren’t over yet. The main thing visible in this one is her craft desk where she makes all of her knitted stuff, and a little orange ghost thingy hanging above the storage shelf. There’s also a cat shaped lamp, and a bi flag above her bed

Kit would definitely have a lot of posters hanging up in her room, mostly anime ones jklghljkgh

Another poster, this time a big (sims version of) Pokemon one hanging above her dresser, where she has a cat planter like the one on Teddy’s nightstand. There’s also a cool sci-fi sword mounted above the door, and triangle lights next to her gaming set up that I’m going to talk about next

Kit would definitely love RBG light stuff, so I made everything in her gaming area have rainbow lights. Onto the shelf that’s next to the PC setup, there’s a lot of stuff here, but I’m only going to talk about some of it since there’s like 14 things on it. It’s impossible to see, but on the lower areas of the shelf, there’s a framed Pokemon card and some earbuds, plus an unopened booster pack of cards. There’s also some smiley plant pots full of plants (That look like pretty easy to take care of plants since one of them is a cactus, which is a nice coincidence since it implies that Teddy gave Kit some low-maintenance plants since he knows that she doesn’t have experience tending to plants). There’s also a jar of candy since she has a sweet tooth, and a rack of swords above the shelf. Also yes I know the console being there is kind of weird since there’s already one in the living room, but I’m too tired to change the room and get a new screenshot, so we’ll both just have to accept it for now

Lastly, we’re on to Luna’s room, which I have a lot less to say about because there is pretty much nothing in there. I didn’t get lazy designing this one, though, Luna just doesn’t need that much stuff in her bedroom

There was some spare room in the house, so I decided to convert it into a gym/lounge for Luna since her room wasn’t large enough for her to have any exercise equipment in. It has the same minimalist vibe (And the same wallpaper color)

I was originally going to put a punching bag in this room, but I found out that there was a sparring bot, so I decided to go with that instead

There’s a nice little seat here for Luna to relax on between workouts

There was more extra room that I didn’t want to use for Luna’s exercise room, so there’s a door in the middle of it that leads to a cluttered storage closet

This is Teddy’s garden outside of the house. I’m going to be honest, it does not look good at all, but I made it while in a terrible mood because I drank 3/4 of a small cup of black coffee, which was apparently more caffeine than I could handle (Fun fact, in addition to making you jittery and unfocused, having too much caffeine in your system also makes you very irritable) and I have already spent way too much time on this house. Maybe I’ll make it look good some other day

Blog #1 - Lose yourself to plants

This post will just be an introduction to the plants I have right now. I want this blog to be like a journal where I make weekly updates on the state of my plants and what's happening to them. Posts after this will most likely be way shorter, just including pictures and notes on the plants.

This year I decided to start a bit early. The weather has been great the past few weeks and it bring me in a great mood to start working on the balcony again. The store I usually buy plants from doesn't sell outside plants anymore so I had to find a new place to buy them. I did find an amazing replacement for that previous store. I'd say they're way better that the previous one. It's like half an hour by bike but it's worth it's totally worth it.

Anyway, introducing our plants of this year:

Name: Trachella Species: Trachelospermum Planted on: Match 8th 2024

Since I have a trellis I wanted another climbing plant for it. I chose her because she only needs partial sun, doesn't get too big and also because she can't handle temperatures under -10 'C so she probably won't survive the winter. I'm not sure yet if it's a good idea for me to have to potentially huge plant on my balcony that I might have to remove when it gets too big, so I'm still playing it save for now. I just hope she'll look great on that trellis!

Name: Cynthia Species: Hydrangea macrophylla Planted on: June 4th 2023

Hydrangea macrophylla are very hardy plants. Cynthia here has survived the whole winter without needing any tending to. She's the successor of another Hydrangea I had. They were the only casualty in the battle against the neighbor's cat, which I creatively called "Balcony cat", who was ravaging our once peaceful garden for months. It was their second year here but they died before the battle against Balcony Cat was resolved. Cynthia is already doing a great job following up her predecessor and I hope she'll continue to do great this year!

She might look a bit awkward with that empty space next to her, but that's because her previous plant-mate was a single-year plant. I still need to find a new plant to keep her company, but I want it to be another single year plant. I want Cynthia to grow as big as possible, so there might eventually not be enough room for two plants in the planter. I just want to be ready for that.

Name: Cammy Species: Campanula Portenschlagiana Planted on: June 4th 2023

Cammy is the second plant returning from last year. Plants like her are usually found on mountains growing between the rocks, so it's no surprise she survived the winter easily. She has a lot of space because I hope she'll grow into it and we'll have a nice patch filling the entire planter.

There's not much history to tell on her because she's always just vibing in the background. Minding her business and doing just fine.

Name: Victor Species: Vinca minor "Alba" Planted on: Match 8th 2024

I picked Victor because I thought he'd look really good in the planter on the drainpipe. I think he'd look beautiful with the stems hanging from the side. But two years in a row now, every plant on the drainpipe gotten infested with aphids. I don't know if I've just gotten unlucky and an aphid just happens to get blown onto my plants or that I bought plants with aphids on them. Either way, I hope just hope that I won't have to deal with them this year and that Victor will be spared from the aphid curse.

BUT, Scammers Are Everywhere (Almost) The persistent problem of scammers posing as breeders of gorgeous cats and kittens with the sole goal of getting you to send them a deposit via Venmo or another payment service with zero accountability scares and concerns most people today, which is why many choose to go to a shelter: to see the real cat or kitten and fall in love with the purrball in their arms. Now solving the puursonality mismatch issue is another, where you simply fall in love with the purrball that goes on to destroy your home. Other things are weighing on you as you are considering as a new kitten PURRent, such as supplies, toys, litter, and food, aren't quite populating in your head, yet, just the dream and desire of a new kitten all curled up in your lap and next to your computer, is coming to attention. Should I go to the shelter and look, or should I hope to get that stunning breed I've been dreaming of, forever. I know these kittens are probably going to be hard to find and then, how much will it cost, and will it be near enough to me to go and get this dream kitty. So I started searching on Craigslist first, as I didn't know of other sites at the time, and I luckily found a dream of a kitten, with gorgeous pictures, so I decided to inquire. I sent the reply via Craigslist email, and never heard back from the person who made the listing. I start to wonder when I would hear back from them, so I went back to see the listing and it was removed, vanished, gone, so I figured all of the kittens were taken. I start googling the breed and found another site, and spent 45 minutes searching for the breed, not to locate any listings. I continue my search and go back to Craigslist a couple of days later, only to discover the listing is back up. So again, I send the reply email.  I did get a reply, they wanted my phone number to send texts as their preferred form of communication. The texts were saying the kittens are available and are being reserved fast so I need to send a deposit via Venmo now to reserve a kitten.  Wait a minute, I haven't even seen any more pictures of the kitten I would be receiving, the final price, the health status, vet records, color, male or female, nothing.  Just send the money to Venmo to reserve. I was very hesitant and decided to continue looking.  This seemed outrageous to me, I need more information before I send money for an unknown kitten and even where they are located. The next day, I get another text message from the person at the other end of the text for the kittens, only this time, It wasn't a nice tone at all. More demanding, It doesn't seem like they would be nice to kittens with this tone so I replied and said I am not interested. That wasn't good enough, The texts just kept coming as if on a fast-moving train, sounding more demanding and desperate with each text. I was going to miss out! On what, I thought, I don't know enough about the kittens to make a decision and the information isn't coming that I ask for, just the reservation deposit demand.  I blocked their number and was done with them, and it was a very disappointing experience for me. I figured this was a near-scam attack that I barely missed.  I also figured that's why their listing was removed, and flagged because they are professional scammers. As I continued my search for my dream cat, I found another site, GoKitty, which certainly has alot of listings, with "beware of scammers" banners, warnings, and disclaimers, so right away, I wonder how legit these listings are after my last experience. I did look around and discovered some kittens to inquire about.  The email system used is good, although many breeders do not respond to inquiries. While Communication is slow with the back-and-forth email from their site, it is a delayed experience and takes time to achieve any thorough communication. I did run into the same encounters with similar pictures and decided to go to my local shelter and see if I could rescue a wonderful kitty that I can see in person. It seems like actual videos of kittens are a missing experience and to use actual videos, I would at least get to see the actual kittens and their living conditions.  And see them age as they grow.  It seems like I could get to know the purrsonality as well with videos. As I reflect on the process, I concluded that scammers are way too prevalent and widespread and something needs to be done to address this.  As a potential PURRent, I was very disappointed in the entire process and hope that someone will figure out how to solve this. Finally, as I googled one last time, I came across a new site, KittyCats.CO. The thing that struck me is they are setting examples right from the start and all over their site, that Scammers will be permanently banned and that all precautions are taken at the start.  They don't want regular cat listings, but more the Appreciated Breeder which comes with thorough steps taken to achieve this Badge listed on their listings, complete with actual video in the listings and a direct communications platform so both parties can directly communicate or schedule a video call, audio chat, instant chat, email and communicate together by sharing pictures and updates of the kitten I reserved. Yes, I found my new love there in KittyCats.CO. And I get to see the updated videos and pictures communicate with my new breeder friend and after I get my kitten, we can share all the love together in our own group or as friends on the social platform.  I loved the PURRfect Match Adoption Questionnaire and filled it out. KittyCats.Co team sent it to the breeder they thought would be a good fit based on my answers, and then, after we agreed on all of the details, the Deposit Reservation Form and Verification, worked like a charm.  Both parties are assured they are real, and it's a secure way to find the love of your house this way. I know it says three but I have to mention all of my pictures I have of my cats. One is white and real big, bigger than some dog, two are black, white and grey and one is orange. Unfortunately two have already passed so I love looking at those photos.

I've been thinking for like 10min and I just can't think of anything really. I live in the country side so there not many people to see to begin with and when I lived in small city everything was normal. The only thing I can remember was this guy being drunk and getting into a fight with someone causing the tram to stop but other than that. Now if we talk about internet stuff, like some shit I've seen on tiktok, that's another category lmao. I think there the weirdest thing someone said def was a girl peeing in MSG in the pit of a Harry Styles concert because she didn't want to lose her spot, I think about that daily whenever I see pics of Harry.

Death of a kitty

The post below is not 'new news' -- it's something I've been meaning to post since early July. It may be 'new to you' or it may be something you already know about via Facebook or elsewhere. Our cat, Marie, passed away on July 6, 2022 after a lengthy battle with cancer. If you have actually been following me here or on Facebook, you'll recall multiple posts about poor miss Marie over the last few years.  (See here, and here) Marie started having health issues in mid-2020.  She developed a huge bloody tumor on her left side and numerous smaller tumors here and there.  We had the biggest tumor surgically removed -- twice.  Each time it grew back within a few months. It never metastasized internally and she never seemed to really notice it much; she had as much or as little vim and vigor as she'd ever had.    However, when you have a tumor that looks like this (see picture) weeping blood, you realize that you've got to act.   In late 2021 and early 2022 it became obvious that something more needed to be done, and that's when she began a program of CCNU oral chemotherapy, given every six weeks or so. The tumor started to shrink within a week or two of the first dose.  Six weeks after the first dose she had her second dose, and the tumor really began to shrink at that point.  She also lost a lot of appetite (one presumes due to nausea from the chemo) and we were given mirtazapine in salve form to smear inside her ears to stimulate her appetite.  Each time she looked a little droopy, the mirtazapine would have her back to normal pretty quickly. After five months, the tumor looked like this: Carole and I were delighted.  The oncologist at Peak Veterinary Referral Center in Williston was delighted.  There was next to nothing in the veterinary literature about treating feline progressive dendritic histiocytosis, and on at least one celebratory checkup I suggested that perhaps she could get a good paper into some journal or another on the subject. We agreed to administer one final chemotherapy treatment in mid-June, "just to make sure get all the cancerous cells". That's where we made our big mistake.  If we hadn't done that, she might be alive today. After two weeks or so, her appetite began to wane again.  Unlike the previous occasions, mirtazapine did next to nothing to perk her back up.  We told ourselves that it had helped a bit and that she had shown more appetite, but frankly, I suspect we were just seeing what we wanted to see. After two days of lher ooking like a limp dishrag we hustled her off to Peak again, where we got the news that she had a hematocrit that was lower than anyone (the oncologist or the technicians/nurses) could ever recall seeing in a living cat.  It was on the order of eight percent.  Her red cells were all but gone.  Her white cells were all but gone as well.  It was as though she'd just stopped making new blood cells. I consented/begged for heroic measures because a) I'm an idiot and b) I felt responsible, having cheerfully encouraged that final round of chemotherapy a couple of weeks earlier, that final round that seemed to have blown up on us all catastrophically. The oncologist warned that going all-out would be ... expensive. I said "I'm opening the checkbook, doc, please save her." Carole, for her part, was much less sanguine (see what I did there?) about Marie's prospects and the value of spending ... well, spending as much as we wound up spending.  But she knew how soft-hearted I am about cats and other animals and did not want me mad at her later, saying "if you'd agreed to take out a second mortgage to pay for treatment, she'd be alive now!" They gave Marie meds to stimulate blood cell production and transfused blood into her and she perked up considerably. For, oh, about 12-14 hours. Then it all began again.  She dwindled.   There was another transfusion and more meds.  A bit more perking up, but not as much as before. I visited her on the afternoon of July 5 (Carole had to work) and petted her and told her I loved her and once again, saw hope where there really wasn't any. But late that night -- around 1:30 am on the 6th -- we got a call from Peak, from the oncologist herself.   Marie was fading quickly and was, in the words of the oncologist, trying to die.  She said they couldn't keep on endlessly transfusing her because other cats might need the blood as well (and cat blood banks are not as well stocked as human ones; there was only so much to go around) and because it really didn't seem to be making a difference.  I could tell that she didn't want to be giving us such bad news, but that particular oncologist is a very nice, caring woman and clearly wished she could be saying just about anything else. I knew what she was looking to hear from me and I said it.  "I understand.  It's time to let her go."  Carole was sitting next to me, half asleep (it was 1:30 in the morning) but squeezed my hand.  She knew how upset I was and was going to be.  The oncologist said they would provide euthanasia so she would not suffer any longer. Cue the tears. The next morning I ordered her a headstone from the same company that we've gotten headstones for our other four deceased cats, dug a suitably deep hole in the sad patch out by our shed where the others are, and went by the vet to pay and to pick up her body. We have a strange ritual we do for all our cats when they die.   We bury them in their preferred pet bed, with their personal food bowl, with any other items that were especially significant to them, and wrap it all up in a shroud of some kind.   In Marie's case we buried her with a blue bath towel -- not an especially large one -- but one that had done good service over the years protecting Carole's lap from Marie's claws whenever Marie jumped up to get petted.   Whenever Marie had seen Carole put that blue towel on her lap, she'd known it was time for petting and would rocket right on up there.   We never would have been able to look at that old blue towel again without thinking of Marie, and we knew that if there was a kitty afterlife, she would probably want it with her. --- We are now down to three cats. One is Jacqueline, the long-haired black cat that I adopted at the same time as Marie, from the same shelter.   They had been at the shelter together for months -- black cats are not adopted as quickly as other cats -- and had actually been together before that at the house that wound up surrendering them to the shelter.   As far as I knew, Jacqueline had never known life without Marie around and I didn't know if she would behave differently or strangely when Marie was no longer there at mealtimes, no longer sharing sunny spots.  As far as we can tell, though, she's taken it in stride.  If she's noticed the loss, it hasn't changed her behavior. Our other two cats, Maggie the tortoiseshell kitty and Max the orange tabby, were not as close to Marie as Jacquie had been, although we had certainly seen plenty of times when Max would use Marie as a hassock or pillow, often when they were sharing sunny spots.   They don't seem to be super broken up about Marie's passing. But nonetheless, I am.  The oncologist said that there were two possible reasons for Marie's cell count plummeting -- one was an immune reaction caused by the chemo, where Marie's system attacked itself, or, that we had basically nuked Marie's blood-cell-producing marrow. I (not a veterinarian) think the second theory is most likely correct.   We were probably damaging her marrow with each chemo dose, but it wasn't until the last one that we finished wiping it out.   We will never know if she'd have had many more years of life if we had stopped after the second to last dose, since the tumor was all but invisible at that point; perhaps she could slowly have built back her blood cell production capacity. I still regret so many things, not least of which is my happy "You could get a great journal article out of this, doc!" comment.  You know that old saying, "the operation was a success but the patient died?" Well.  We clobbered that tumor, but at the cost of her life.  And all my "we're opening the checkbook, doc, don't spare anything that could help, no matter what!" did was prolong her suffering. Which Metrics You Have To Monitor Whereas A

CTR is a extra sensitive type of measurement than conversion as a end result of only clicks are required to alter the worth. But once more, CTR loses some directionality because the person might not go where they need.
