Hot take but canes are not a limited resource. Most mobility aids aren’t but canes especially. Canes are $20 at a lot of stores like CVS, Walmart, etc. You aren’t taking that resource away from “real” disabled people (hint: you ARE a real disabled person) in fact buying more canes creates more demand and works to make more stores carry them for better prices. You aren’t faking being disabled or hurting disabled people, you’re working to make canes more accessible which is helping disabled people.

Get the cane.

🦈 Which character is the toughest to write?

Frankie. oh my god i love her and would love to write her more but jesus christ she is a hard character to nail down. i am always scared im gonna do her wrong whenever i write her. miss lou im so sorry i cant do you justice like you deserve

💭 What inspires you and your writing?

oh a bunch of different stuff. music is an obvious one, both cause of the vibes™️ but also because my current fixation is music lore. all i gotta do is listen to a funky song and bam! we got a new fic. i've also gotten ideas from reading different fics (i dont copy the plot but sometimes a line or two will inspire me, or ill think "very cool but what if [this thing] happened" and i go insane from there) and on occasion random comments or sentences.

i mean one time i was writing a multi-chapter fic and like. there's a major MAJOR twist that was inspired by a comment i got on chapter 10 and it was one of my favorite plot points of that series. this comment singlehandedly made me redo an entire character storyline and made this character, who i had come up with for a scene or two at most, insanely important to plot and a huge part of the sequel fic i did. the comment wasn't exactly what i went with but it did inspire me to change that part up

❤️ What is your favorite line that you’ve written in a fic?

That's really hard actually. a lot of my favorite parts of my fics are less single lines and more "effective in the context of the situation" but i did have some bangers in the love like ghosts fic i suppose. I kind like this one:

"There’s nothing beyond this edge of the world but concrete and the unforgiving earth, but you'll be damned if you aren't tempted."

#i wanna write fics about frankie but im. scared #hate to write 2 (two) scenes in the character study fic with her in it and it was a NIGHTMARE #i had to rewrite the convo like 10 times and completely rewrote that scene twice because it just wasnt working #also yeah the plot twist was about sfp and hereward #like look it was an insanely good plot point that i made up 1/4 ways into the fic that completely recontextualized his actions but it worke #and improved the character and the story tenfold. and people also lost their MINDS over that twist it was great #commenter i owe you my life for that #ive also got a line in an unfinished fic but ive reworded it so many times i dont feel like posting it yet #dani speaks #ask #asks

First Night on PNF-404

The crew of the S.S. Arcadia have landed on PNF-404 in response to a distress call from the esteemed Captain Jefferson. Three of its members, Max, Chloe and Rachel, took a group photo to commemorate their first night on the planet. What will they find on this strange, bizarre planet?

Apparently the Pikmin brainrot I've been suffering this past day or so has not supplanted the incumbent Life is Strange brainrot, but rather has fused into a PNF-404 AU of some sorts. So here's a drawing of Max, Chloe and Rachel as Pikmin captains! My brain is currently cooking up a whole ass plotline for this AU, maybe I'll share more of it later!

(Yes, Rachel has a custom-made plaid space-suit. She's just that much of a stickler for fashion.)
