Book review - The Sealed Nectar

Perhaps one of the best books on the Seerah (life of the prophet saw)

The book covers his day to day life, key events in Islamic history, the spread of Islam, the Prophet (saw) interacted with Companions and family, his role as a leader, as well as his characteristics and mannerisms.

The more you learn about the life of the Messenger of God (peace be upon him), the more you learn about his devotion to his Lord and his concern for all of humankind.

This book is available in most languages and good for those seeking awareness about Prophet saw, as it is easy to navigate and all stories/Hadith are fully referenced.

I purchased this book in English for myself and in Urdu for my mum from Darussalam book store ❤️

This post was inspired by another quote that I related to. When I got to college, the classes became 10x harder and I didn’t get accepted into my intended major. I became insecure and I felt imposter syndrome in every classroom I entered. It took a long time to let go of those setbacks, and put my faith in Allah. Long story short, I graduated!

We all need to realize that the Sunnah made by Allah should be performed in the manner told by Him only. We need to share this message with the whole of Ummah. Let us maintain the beauty of a simple Nikah and set an example for everyone. Let us marry our children with as much humbleness as our Prophet (P.B.U.H.) did. If somebody has to take an initiative, then why not you?

Book review - The Great women of Islam by Mahood Ahmed Ghafanfor

This was one of the first box I added to my collection.

It is an excellent book for any muslimah, and gives us a deep inside into the lives and roles of female companions, wife’s and a strong/pious figures throughout the Islamic history.  This book is extremely easy to read, and it’s broken down into small chapters, describing the life and key points of each woman, also includes fully referenced Hadith.

This book does not go into a very deep explanation of each female figure, instead it gives a 4 to 6 page overview, making it concise, manageable and great for a new beginner.

I purchased this from Darussalam books online.
