Falling For You.
[REQUEST] spencer reid x BAU!reader but they're in a secret relationship, and basically she gets him to watch all these romcoms, so when he makes a reference to something like Notting Hill or You've Got Mail and then the whole secret is blown.

It was no secret that the newest team member had a thing for romantic comedies. From the little jokes she made with Penelope to the quote from Pretty Woman on her travel mug, she was a walking Rom-Com reference.
Hotch understood some of the references, JJ would talk her ear off about her favourites, and even Emily and Derek would jokingly re-enact that scene from When Harry Met Sally every time they had a team lunch. It was only Spencer who didn’t get the jokes, and after having to explain them all to him 1 too many times, she finally invited him over to watch some.
The first one they watched together was Can’t Buy Me Love. Patrick Dempsey, a loveable nerd has been saving up all summer to buy the telescope of his dreams when the girl next door accidentally ruins her mom's favourite dress and needs to buy a replacement… he ends up buying it for her on the condition that she pretends to date him so his Senior Year can be his best year yet. Spencer likes the movie overall, he wishes someone in his high school took enough pity on him to make him popular. But his favourite scene is when they go to the abandoned airplane graveyard and watch the stars in his homemade telescope.
“I can make one of those,” Spencer whispers to her.
“Really?”
He nods, “It would be pretty easy… maybe we could go star gazing someday too?” He asks, biting the bullet and making this movie date the first of many dates they’d go on.

The next movie they watch is Never Been Kissed. Drew Barrymore is a nerdy reporter who goes undercover at a high school and gets to relive her teen years while falling in love for the first time. Spencer likes this one because he can relate, he never had his first kiss until well into his 20s… and she was an actress, too. When he explains that to Y/N she can’t believe it, but he has the magazine photos of them saying goodbye after the case to prove it.
“Have you kissed many people since then?” She asks, wishing he’d move a little closer to her and steal one.
He nods, “a few.”
“anyone good?”
He shakes his head, “no, I’m saving the best kiss for last.”
She looks puzzled? “What?”
“My best kiss will be from the girl I end up marrying,” he gives her a smile and moves his hand over to hold hers.
“Oh,” she bites back a smile and looks down at their interlocked fingers. “Have you at least met her yet?”
“I think so…”
“Well, then shouldn’t you kiss her to find out if she’s the right one?” She teases, leaning into his space even more.
“I suppose you’re right,” he teases, he cups her face with his free hand and rubs his thumb over her cheek, “are you sure you’re okay with this?”
She nods and leans in all the way this time. Effectively pressing their lips together. And even for a first kiss, it sure does feel different. It feels like her last first kiss ever.

Keeping it a secret at work is hard when all they want to do is stare at each other with googly-eyes, they’ve fallen head over heels for each other and not told a single soul. No one knows about their movie dates or their real dates either. No one knows they’ve spent a whole night kissing or that they really, really, don’t mind sharing the hotel room with the two queen beds. And they definitely don’t know that they only slept in the one. Together. The whole week they were away.
After the case ends, they head back to her apartment for their mandated 48 hours off with the pan to watch as many movies as they can.
The third movie they watch is You’ve Got Mail.
“Rival bookstore owners hate each other in real life, yet on the internet manage to fall madly in love with one another. Based on an older movie called The Shop Around The Corner, it’s a beloved story brought to life once again by the one and only Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan.”
She explains every movie like this before they put it on. He’s honestly only watching them because he loves listening to her talk about them.
“You see, they both have partners in real life but they email each other every day, as friends… but you know what it's like in movies like these,” she smirks. “Best friends who have a lot in common find it easy to fall in love.”
“That they do,” he agrees.
He raises his arm over the back of the couch and she sits back, leaning into his side just as his hand lands on her shoulder. They snuggle up close, she hits play and he watches with glee, not knowing this was going to become his favourite movie by the time it’s over.
His favourite line is when two cars honk at each other and their drivers get out to argue, followed by Meg Ryan saying “Don’t you love New York in the fall?” Which is something Tom Hanks says to her in an email earlier that morning.
He loves the way the old man recalls a woman of his past and called her “enchanting” because what a wonderful thing to say about a woman.
He giggles when Tom Hanks tosses aside Pride and Prejudice cause he just doesn’t get it the way Meg's character does. But ultimately, he picks it back up because he wants to get to know her through her reading history.
“I sympathize with Frank,” Spencer whispers as he brings out a typewriter when they have a perfectly good computer at her house.
“I know,” she laughs. “I love the tablets at work, I can’t believe you still have Penny paint the files out for you.”
You are a lone reed standing tall, waving boldly in the curet sands of commerce. Frank compliments Kathleen, or at least he tries to.
Spencer giggles again. “I remember what it was like being a lone Reid,” he whispers before pressing a kiss to her cheek.
She gets all flustered, so madly in love with him that she wants to scream it from the rooftops but it feels way too soon. They’re only 3 movies into their relationship. Maybe at 10, she’ll tell him. Till then, she looks over at him and steals a real kiss.
Kathleen is so passionate about her books in the same way that Y/N loves her movies. Spencer sees so many similarities between them that it’s really no wonder that Tom Hanks’ character falls in love with her. Passionate, kind, beautiful women will always have a place in Spencer's heart.
Their 4th movie is another Meg Ryan classic; When Harry Met Sally, and now Spencer understands why Derek pretends to have an orgasm when he eats a good salad…
Their 5th movie is Notting Hill and Y/N can tell he doesn’t like it very much because unlike William Tucker, the actress who kissed Spencer never talked to him again after that.
Their 6th movie, however, is Pretty Woman. And while they shared a bed all through the last case, they’ve never really slept together. So watching a movie all about sex and falling in love really didn’t help the frustration they were both feelings. By the time the movie ended, it was almost midnight and they should’ve been getting ready for bed.
She gets up and heads to her room, expecting him to follow but he just stands in her doorway, watching with a bit of anxiety in his gut.
“So…” Spencer asks. “What happens after he climbs up and rescues her?”
She stills, her heart fills with love and she quickly makes his way to him. She cups his face in her hands, staring up at him. “She rescues him right back.”
“Indeed you have,” he leans in and presses a quick kiss to her lips. “You know what all these movies have in common?”
“What?” She has no idea where he’s going with this.
“They all fell in love pretty quickly, I mean just look at Vivian and Edward, it took them less than a week,” he explains. “So I don’t feel too crazy when I say… I love you, Y/N. I love you so very much.”
“I love you, I love you, I love you,” she whispers between kisses.
They kiss and kiss and he walks with her, leading her toward the bed where they fall in and make love for the first time. It's hot and close and emotional. It's slow and steady and perfect. It’s everything both of them have dreamed of when they finally met the one.

On their second day off they watch How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, 13 Going On 30, 50 First Dates, A Walk to Remember, 10 Things I Hate About You, and The Holiday. They would’ve gotten to more if they weren’t so wrapped up in one another. By the time they go back to work, they’ve gotten through half of her list of favourite movies.
He’s not sure if it’s luck or coincidence or what… but their next case happens to be in New York.
When they land, they get into their Bureau-issued SUVs and weave in and out of traffic on their way to the scene. They’re honked at multiple times and Spencer just smirks to himself. It’s not until they get out and they’re honked at once again, with some guy yelling at them to get out of his way, that Spencer turns to her and says. “Don’t you love New York in the fall?”
She giggles and shoves him, “Shut up.”
“It’s not the fall?” JJ remarks, not knowing why he’d say such a thing or why she’d react like that.
“Hey, isn’t that…” Emily thinks it over for a second. “That’s a line from you’ve got mail!”
“How would Spencer know that movie?” JJ laughs it off.
Spencer turns to beat red with embarrassment. “I’ve seen it…”
“You’ve seen you’ve got mail?” Derek even rides him for this slip-up. “And when do you have time to watch rom-coms?”
“I’ve seen the original,” he lies. “It’s based on The Shop Around The Corner. My mom liked it before she got sick.”
“Okay,” they drop it there.
Thankfully.
And by the time the case ends, 3 days have passed, the unsub has been booked into Jail at 9am and they’re free to go home. If they want to. Derek suggests they all go out for breakfast, and Hotch says he rather go home and sleep. JJ wants to go shopping and Emily’s right there with her.
Spencer on the other hand, he opens his phone and sends Y/N a message.
“There’s a place in Riverside Park at 91st street where the path curves and there’s a garden. I’ll be waiting there for you.”
She digs her phone out of her pocket seconds later and smiles, a small sigh leaves her as her shoulders slump. She’s so in love with him it's unreal.
“What about you, Y/N?” Emily asks her. “Do you want to come with us?”
“No… no, I have a friend in town I want to meet up with.”
“Looks like it’s just me and you for breakfast, pretty boy,” Derek teased, wrapping his arm around Spencer.
He shakes his head, “Actually, I was thinking about going on a little sightseeing adventure, you know I only come to new york for work.”
“Fine then,” Derek drops it and he, Emily and JJ watch as Spencer and Y/N head off, out of the precinct and in different directions. “I bet you ten bucks they’re meeting up.”
“Hold on,” JJ says as she calls up Penelope. “Hey, yeah, can you tell me where Spencer and Y/N’s GPS pings in 20 minutes?”
“I can… why?” Penny asks nervously.
“No reason. Just a hunch.”
When Penelope eventually calls her back all she has to say is Riverside Park at 91st Street and they know.

Y/N gets there first, she’s never seen this place in person before. The flowers are even more vibrant than in the movie. There are bees dancing around every other flower, couples walking around hand in hand, people on dog walks and moms with their strollers. It’s just an average early morning in New York.
And then she sees him. He comes rounding the corner, he’s carrying a bouquet of flowers wrapped in newspaper… at least she thinks they’re flowers.
What they don’t notice is their friends on the other side of the garden, watching them get closer and closer until they’re chest to chest. He wraps his free hand around her waist, she cups his face in her own hands, and she stares up at him like he hung the stars just for her.
“I wanted it to be you,” Spencer whispers what was originally Meg Ryan's line. “I wanted it to be you so badly.”
“You sure did save the best for last,” she knows exactly what he means.
Just as they lean in to kiss, as his lips meet hers, they hear it. Someone is playing “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” just for them. They smile into the kiss, shocked that their life is playing out like a perfectly written movie and then they see them.
It’s their own friends who played it. They’re clapping in the distance, “Woo!!” Emily cheers.
“We knew this would happen!” Derek throws in for good measure.
They can’t help but laugh, Spencer pulls her in for another kiss, a longer, more hearty kiss. He loves her and he wants everyone to know.
When she pulls back, she looks as though she could cry, so he extends the bouquet to her. It’s a bunch of yellow, newly sharpened number 2 pencils tied up with string.
“Don’t you love New York in the fall?”
“Not as much as I love you,” she says as she takes them, gladly. “Not even close.”

Warning i haven’t played all the games yet, in fact my apollo justice trilogy is crashing every time i try to open it, so all the characters from after aa3 are based on fandom osmosis
Miles Edgeworth - writes Steel Samurai fanfiction on ao3 and has been doing it for some time now (the living embodiment of the ao3 writers curse) would rather die than anyone finding that out tho, doesn’t have a lot of free time so only posts once in like 3-4 months, fics are pretty good and distinct since he writes them with so much formality, so he is relatively popular in some fandom spaces;
Maya Fey- fanfiction reader only, runs an account on Tumblr for Steel Samurai news and fanwork, famous in the fandom and runs a discord server, one of those people that lowkey have their own fandom mostly bc of the insane revelations she drops about her own life from time to time ( “ lmao guys sorry for being absent but i got accused of murder for the 4th time and that really sucked ANYWAYS did you guys look at the leaks for the new reboot… “ ) Shes also way too open about herself on the internet;
Simon Blackquill: Sasuke fan ( derogatory ) also steel samurai fan tho, dont think he goes out the way to read fanfiction ( i think if he did he would read them in fanfiction.net ) but its pretty funny to think hes edgeworths beta reader ( AN: sorry for the delay, unfortunate circumstances came to light that my beta reader was arrested and is now on death roll ) He ran an AMV account on youtube before going to prison;
Trucy Wright: Shes 16 and her only friends are her dads coworkers, she opened wattpad AT LEAST once, probably accidentally read one of those “got sold to one direction (gavinners)” fics and immediately closed the app;
Klavier Gavin: opened wattpad to see what type of fanfiction people were writing about him, he runs a secret fan account and shares fun facts about him and his bandmates as “hcs”, also pretty popular but most people hate him bc they believe his depiction of the gavinners is “too ooc”. He is actually pretty impressed by the quality of most of the works and alludes to their existence constantly in his main on twitter, the fans go insane everytime;
Franziska Von Karma: I don’t believe Franziska is a fanfiction reader nor is she into any fandom, i do however believe she has notifications turned on for Edgeworth’s ao3 account, he doesn’t know that of course, what a foolish fool to think he could hide such a thing from his big sister, she will sometimes quote his work back to him and find amusing seeing him freeze. He thinks its a coincidence because he is too secretive about his hobbies, he’s wrong, she’s been following him online since she was 13, that’s how she knew he wasn’t dead in JFA.
Extras: Phoenix is technologically illiterate, he couldn’t read fanfiction even if he wanted to. Apollo is way too normal for that, he has the law autism not the fandom one. Athena knows of fanfiction bc she is young and in the internet but she wasn’t very interested in it. If you ask Gumshoe about fanfiction he would give you a smile and say “Of course im a Fan of Fiction Pal!”. I do believe Pearl has wattpad but only reads original works on there, so in my opinion she doesn’t count.

it's been a day since newjeans debuted and their popularity skyrocketed through the roof with the release of attention, and they were the talk of the kpop community.
along with it came the resurfacing of school photos, friend group photos and baby photos/videos the members had, and nothing was more interesting than the one pham hanni had with you, the vietnamese's chubby cheeks pressed with yours in a hug, quoted as "hanni makes a friend in kindy!".
the fans being the nosy people they are, searched the internet for you. not only because you were the supposed bestie, but because of the cuteness you've showcased.
with one of the lives they've had, you were mentioned and hanni responds that she hasn't seen you since 5th grade, having to move states due to your parents' job, having no contact with each other since.
a sniffle escape hanni when she explained that, and now, finding you was so much more vital than before. the fans had struggled, your digital footprint was honourable, only a few baby photos and photos where you were in the background, unlike other people who uses the internet to document every thing in their life.
you were someone who didn't indulge their self in social media, only having a facebook account for family reasons where a few photos of yourself was shared through the school's website.
however, when a video circulated through twitter quoted "pretty girl plays the drums, guitar, sung and ate", the fans felt their world stop. there you were, in all your glory, seated behind the drums wearing an oversized shirt and ripped jeans, hands hard to catch as you hit every beat.
the video was an hour long, showcasing your talent for music as you played the guitar, drums and sang in different times, giving time for your teammates to have a break and catch their breath.
it was mentioned in the recent live newjeans had, and the moment hanni read the comment, she was rushing through her phone and into twitter, breath hitching in her throat as she watched the video, the same butterflies she felt in 4th grade when you pecked her cheek surfacing as you smiled when you finished a song.
her reaction was more than an answer, and the fans knew they hit the jackpot. "oh my god, it is her." she says, shuffling in her seat as her brows furrowed and intently looked at you.
you've changed a lot through the years she hasn't seen you, the bob cut you've had all grown out and tied with some strands fighting for their life to be released. you looked taller and leaner too, unlike when you were a kid.
it brought tears to her eyes that after all these years, you've been doing well and her concerns for you washed out.
you still held the passion for music stronger than before.
"y/n, you're trending."
you looked up from your guitar, stopping in the middle of tuning it to look at your bandmate who faced his phone to you. "what?"
"you were friend with a hanni ph-" your other bandmate bursted through the door, almost popping it from its hinges. "Y/N!" he rushed to your side, kneeling in front of you as he shoved his phone on your face. "YOU WERE FRIENDS WITH HANNI PHAM?!?!?!?!?!?!?"
you flinched and moved away from him, throwing his phone at him. "yeah? she was my childhood friend." and childhood crush, you wanted to say. he grabs your hand, still on his knees and looks up at you with puppy eyes. "PLEASE INTRODUCE ME OH MY GOD!"
you laugh, patting his shoulder as you release your hand from his grasp and walking back to pick up your guitar. "we haven't had contact for years. try again next life." he groans, sitting behind the drums and hitting every cymbals.
"damn it." he mumbles, but a smile on his lips nonetheless. "i can't believe i'm friends with someone who used to be friends with hanni." you perked up, "hey! i'm still friends with her... i think."
the door opened, revealing your female bandmate and bass guitarist. "y/n, you're trending." you deadpanned, plucking a string in full volume. "turn that shit down!"
the next day was more chaotic than any other, as the fandom finally found the twitter account of your band, the account immediately gaining lots of followers and attention.
and that was where you had appeared more, videos and photos garnering lots and lots of likes and retweets. you had looked at the comments earlier, fingertip hovering over the follow button of newjeans' twitter account from your personal one.
you sighed and threw your phone aside, ever since the topic of hanni was brought up, you've considered getting into contact with her, but your negative thoughts formed a wall around you.
"oh fuck it," you grabbed your phone and followed the account, screaming right after burying your face in your pillow.
arriving home that day was a chaos as well, your younger sister (who happens to be apart of the fandom) rushes to you, phone on record and gasping. "guys! this is y/n! hanni's childhood friend!"
you stare at her wearily, sighing and taking her phone off her hand and raising it high up where she couldn't reach it. you look up at the phone, your sister fighting for her life to reach it. "hi, yes, i'm hanni's childhood friend."
you said at the camera, placing it on top of the cupboard where your sister needs to take a chair and stand on top of it to reach. she kicked you as you walk away, chuckling as you make your way up the stairs and flopping on your bed.
your mum knocks and walks in a few minutes later, punching your jaw off your face and landing on the floor. "we're going to korea!"
you shot up, utter confusion plastered on your face. "what?" she smiles, ushering you to leave the bed and into the living room. "the pham's are tagging along with us, i said it'd be a great chance for you and hanni to meet again due to the circumstances."
you hum, "when are we leaving for melbourne then? assuming we're meeting them there." "tomorrow."
you thought your mother was kidding, but when she gave you that unfaltering smile of hers, you knew it was better to comply. after talking with your bandmates (who were so jealous you get to have a break off school), you packed your bags and was on the road the moment the clock ticked 3.
after 8 hours on the road, your reached melbourne and was soon at the pham's, where your younger sister and jasmine reunited with loud squeals. "you're becoming famous, y/n." mrs. pham said, a smile on her lips as you greeted her.
"she always was. used to, still is." mr. pham replied, pulling you in for a handshake. "hanni would be in cloud 9 when she sees you again." mrs. pham said, the smile on her face big as if she had won the lottery. "she's lucky to have you."
a choked laugh left your throat, her statement almost rendering you speechless. a smile on your face, nonetheless. "i'm the one lucky to have her, ma'am."
when hanni looked at her phone and saw the photo her mother had sent her, she swore her eyeballs jumped itself out of her sockets. you were seated next to mrs. pham, a mask covering the lower half of your face, a headset hanging off an ear and eyes crescent, the only thing to show her that you were smiling.
her heart stopped, and danielle, who was in the same room as her noticed the sudden atmosphere that surrounded itself on hanni. "are you alright?" she asks in english, worry plastered on her face as hanni's slack jaw tries to move. hanni looked like she had seen a ghost.
"my parent's are at the airport." she gulped, "here." danielle's visible confusion grew larger, "is that a bad thing?" hanni shook her head, "no, of course not. it's just that... y/n's with them."
a small gasp tore its way out of danielle's throat. and minji, who had just entered the room had to deal with danielle's very high pitched squeal.
mrs. pham smiled as she conversed with hanni through the phone, "hanni told me she'd be meeting us in the hotel." you looked up at the mention of her name, a tinge of red on your cheeks as you tried not to think of her too much to control your feelings or else it'll burst.
your sister snickered beside you, catching jasmine's attention as well. "try not to stare and blush at hanni when you meet her here challenge!" she squeaks, and the two laughed, and you wanted no more than to smack her.
it was quite dark when hanni had arrived at the hotel, eyes scanning for her mother who'd promised she'd be waiting at the lobby. you, who was at han river at the time, missed the whole interaction. hanni tried hard not to run out the door the moment she'd been informed of your whereabouts, trying to play it cool.
however, they knew better and let her go the moment you were mentioned, where she found you with your camera in hand, hair dancing along with the wind as you snapped another picture.
she felt the air around her dissipate, and she was left breathless. you glanced to your side, where she walked gingerly towards you, as you flashed a meek smile. "did you run here?"
it was then she noticed she's catching her breath, and blushed in embarrassment. "no, uh, i thought i'd miss you if i wasn't fast enough." "is that so?" she hummed, and leant on the rail as you walked beside her.
you let your camera hang around your neck, shuffling to take a coating of layer off and placing it around her, your warmth trapped inside. "you're shivering." she averted her gaze, tilting her head a bit to the side in case you saw how her cheeks warmed up. "thanks."
you nodded in response, "how's the idol life treating you?" she let out a breath she didn't know she was holding, relieved that you still knew how to spark a conversation. "it's tiring, but getting to be with the members make it better."
"still the same hanni i've met years ago." you responded, chuckling as you shook your head. "how about you? any," she paused, wanting to smack herself for getting the gall to ask this, "love interests?"
you glanced at her, the smile on your face getting bigger as you laughed, smacking the rail a few times. "no, uh, don't have time for it." she pressed on, "how about a crush? none?"
your eyebrows knit together, "is it still considered a crush if you've liked them for years now?" hanni felt herself take a step back and shrink.
of course you wouldn't stay single for her forever. of course you'd crush on some else that's not her, after all, this is your first interaction in years. why would she expect that she'd have at least a chance for your heart?
"how- how's your crush?" you glanced at her, meeting her eyes that looked at you with such sadness. oh. "she's uh, fine. doing well." hanni raised a brow. she? oh. "assuming you are well?"
you didn't know where the sudden confidence injected through your veins came from, but you weren't complaining. you stared at hanni as she tried to place the pieces of the puzzle together. and when she did, her mouth gaped. oh.

Why Christmas is not related to Christ Jesus nor Christianity
A search on the internet will tell you that Christmas is a Christian holiday (I don't think I read that in the Bible) celebrating the birthday of Jesus Christ. Where in the Bible was the birth date of Jesus Christ given? It doesn't even give the date of the 25th of December. Christmas means "mass on Christ's day" how did it come to be that that was Christ's day? I know that He says He's Lord of the sabbath and that's God's day is the sabbath but Christmas? No. Christmas is the English term. "The earlier term Yule may have derived from the Germanic jōl or the Anglo-Saxon geōl, which referred to the feast of the winter solstice." Yule which is "the pre-Christian festival originating in Scandinavia which was later subsumed, along with other pagan celebrations, into the Christian holiday of Christmas." There are pagan roots, celebrations in it, how does it glorify Jesus? God? People might say, oh but they sing Christmas carols and there's the nativity. Please, it doesn't matter if that is done on that day when there are parts of Christmas which are contributed from celebrations offered to idols or possible pagan gods. "Yule celebrations began as a Norse festival called jol, although assessments of the purpose and traditions vary. Like most winter solstice festivals, themes of light, fire, and feasting are common threads. My Personal Headcanons for the Demon Brothers (Obey Me) :
—although it is mostly unintentional, Levi is actually the brother that causes the most chaos in the house. You can't be the Avatar of Envy, an otaku, and chronically online at the same time without having massive freak-outs over your hyperfixations on/and the internet.
—despite pretending to be cute and innocent most of the time, Belphie has the dirtiest mind of all the brothers. He can get very creative and sneaky with his innuendos to the point where even Asmo needs a minute to properly digest them before realising.
—Beel plays dumb a lot because he finds people's reaction to his "fake" himboness funny. Belphie knows and encourages it, since he also finds it funny. Though, ever since MC shows up and starts simping over him being a himbo, Belphie has mixed feelings about it now; he still thinks it's funny, but he gets kinda jealous.
—Asmo fakes having a high-pitched voice. His reasoning being that other people's reactions to hearing his real voice in bed gives him the best pleasure.
—Luci is a closet dork and has the silliest sense of humor, and if he could he would prank his brothers a lot more than they do to him.
—Levi's offhand and careless reactions to things are unintentionally witty. Think popular internet quotes and interactions and apply that to him.
—Belphie critically injured his left eye in the Celestial War and covers it because of PTSD, insecurity, and magical reasons. His left eye has similar abilities to Asmo's gaze, although he doesn't have proper control over it.
—Mammon handles the House of Lamentation's budget most of the time. He decided to be in charge of it on whim one day, but got so upset over the tax cuts and discounts and whatever Luci was missing out on that he refused to hand the responsibility back to him out of sheer indignation.
—despite what most people believe, Asmo doesn't actually have a thousand skincare products and makeup and usually just sticks to the things that work best for him. What is true, however, is that he buys a shit ton of perfumes and clothes. Because having a variety of them can make a bigger difference than having an overly complex skincare routine.
—despite being quite a while since Devildom's Navy has seen some action, Levi takes his training regime and duties as the Grand Admiral very seriously. Beel and him became each other's gym bros when their schedules match up.
—Levi and Belphie's hair are supposed to be similar to Asmo's in terms of waviness, but both of them decided to distance themselves from the time they were angels because of shame.
—the brothers' hair were a lot longer back when they were still angels.
—Levi is aware of the hentai protagonist haircut and how close he resembles it. So is Belphie, if you get my drift...
—Satan's immense love for cats was actually a process. He didn't start off loving them from the get-go. It was only when he learned about their behaviors and history did he become interested in them, and then after a couple hundred years or so that interest became a genuine fondness.
—Asmo has the most control over his sin, meaning he can control both its positive and negative effects to a scarily good degree. The second would be either Satan or Levi.
—despite Satan being the actual youngest in the family, the rest of the brothers collectively agreed that Beel and Belphie are the babies. Mostly Belphie.
—Belphie's hatred for humans was a... slow process. The love he had for them didn't suddenly switch into hatred at the drop of a hat. Or, well, in this case, at the fall of an angel lol. I like to think that him becoming a demon showed him the worst sides of humanity prior to him being an angel seeing the best sides of them.
—Belphie has a special hatred for sexual violence because of his canon lore. Not his game lore, but his actual biblical lore. He was some sort of seducer himself back in the day, and he turned himself into a woman to have intercourse with men... you can probably guess what happens next there.
—Satan is very aware of his desire to love and be loved in a romantic sense. Asmo does not. When Satan asked him about it (because he can definitely tell), Asmo had laughed and denied that he needed that kind of love since he's the Avatar of Lust. Which was... painful to see, on Satan's part.
—do you guys know Stanzi from Tiktok? The demon brothers are definitely fans of her, especially Belphie. No, I'm not gonna elaborate.

Decided to see today if a ChatGPT instance could help me find a quote I had in mind, since it's supposedly read and memorized so much of the internet. It was surprisingly bad.

oh wow this instance is moronic, now I'm starting to wonder how much of the good performance is carefully cherrypicked and arranged. at this point I went on a detour and found the quote via arcane other means and Internet Archive to get a page from a 2014 blog where I'd seen it, and found the author's name: Georg Christoph Lichtenberg. Let's see if GPT is any better with that.

It’s a different sort of high being a fan of BTS, isn’t it?
It’s a different sort of joy seeing them be their remarkable, awe-inspiring and goofy selves. It’s so beautiful to see the love they so clearly have for each other. It feels a little too intimate sometimes, and in my experience, this is a feeling that’s unique to BTS. This group is very special. What they’ve got feels genuine because it is.
Jimin was vibing hard. Yoongi’s performance felt electric from start to finish. They spent time together, [*]riding to the venue and leaving afterwards. Let me go on a short tangent here:
STD is an acronym that’s known in Korea to mean what you think it means. Everybody knows it. Language isn’t a barrier in this case. When people in Korea hear “STD”? They know what it’s referring to.
Now, what do you think about the way Yoongi introduced his alternate persona: AGUST D in 2016? The way he enunciates that phrase is sickening and intentional. The very mention of his name in the mouths of his detractors is a sickness they get from him fucking them. Or ‘fat dicking’ them, to quote Yoongi. And on that song he spits one of the sickest bars of his entire career. You’re guaranteed to be fucked just by hearing it. I mean just in his name there’s already triple entendres.
It’s mad.
Yoongi has a very peculiar energy. It’s very catlike, but also serpentine and there’s an undercurrent of barely restrained lunacy deep beneath the surface. Hobi is actually more crude than Yoongi in speech and flow, but Yoongi can be so cruel. And that quality, one he doesn’t shy from turning on himself too, coupled with his pragmatic and caustic delivery… lord. He sets himself apart from every other artist alive. Nobody in BTS cuts to the bullshit faster than Yoongi - he’s lived through the consequences of deluding yourself that you’re okay when you’re not. He’s a man who is constantly examining himself, checking his worst tendencies, but never compromising on what he truly believes.
Ugh.
Times like tonight, I look at BTS and feel so much calm. They are so competent, and I’m certain whatever they make, it will be very good. Yoongi has proven that so far with this tour. Yoongi’s D-DAY concert tour is easily the best solo concerts I’ve been to this decade, and I haven’t even attended one yet. But it’s easily the best one. Easily. And I’ve been to a lot (actually been to them), especially in the last 12 months.
That crowd Jimin pulled for the Tiffany’s event is no joke. We’re now at the point where Western celerities know they’re not the main popularity driver if Jimin is also involved. They know the crowds are there for Jimin. And when he eventually showed up, he looked magnificent. Elegant. Polished. Understated. One of these days I want to see Jimin bejewelled and dressed in all primary colours - something more vibrant and queer. But that Tiffany’s event went for traditional and understated and that’s okay. It worked, because Jimin can work anything.

I have some thoughts, but I want to say them in a way that isn't aggressive or patronizing.
obviously a lot of jokes and discourse are newly on the table in the modern dan & phil era, especially in comparison to 2013.
i think the main principle is to follow their lead. ten years ago, they were pretty clearly setting boundaries for things they Didn't Want To Talk About (sexuality, relationships). Boundaries that people (fans, coworkers, interviewers) crossed over and over. It's worth noting I'm not really talking about fanfiction here—banning rpf is futile, and, lest you forget Dan Howell said he has read youtuber rpf for fun—I'm talking about real life speculation. I believe that's what hurt them.
in the modern era, let's learn from that (probably kinda traumatic) time and follow their lead. they're both openly gay—gay discourse is fine! They're pretty ambiguous about their relationship (see: "are we gay? did we fuck?" quote from dystopia daily's 'Dan and Phil Tell the Truth' video), so jokes of that caliber are ok (imo).
On the other hand... Invasions of privacy? Trying to "prove" things about their personal lives that they've repeatedly stated they don't want to elaborate on? Especially posting that "proof" to public websites. Bringing up past content, posts, etc, that they clearly still don't want to acknowlege? Let's refrain.
Obviously dnp have come to terms with a lot of this stuff existing on the internet... then again, they didn't exactly have a choice. but here's my thoughts: tumblr is a public website, literally anyone can make an account. Dan and Phil want to get into the mainstream via acting/writing projects. If they get popular enough, mainstream media outlets will dig, and some of the personal old stuff is not hard to find... and even easier to look for if people are talking about it all the time. And I would hate, despise even, to see some detached popular media outlet make some "tea" article containing personal stuff from dnp's past that they've tried to move on from/delete. So just... keep in mind plz. I don't want to make them hurt/sad again.
tl;dr: if you're older in the fandom, let's set a good example for any incoming or younger ppl and meet dnp where they're at with the jokes & content, and avoid invasions of privacy!

catching up about fandom stuff
Oh, hi! Do you mind if I ramble a bit?
I feel like I've been a little distant and antisocial in the past few months due to personal stuff (mainly because my trauma bucket got kicked over many, many times, but also I've been trying to get the ball rolling on a few things I've been meaning to do for a while). And I know I'm not the only one who has been having a hard time. But now it's spring here, and I'm feeling a little hopeful and a bit more inspired. Is it just me? Do we dare to be hopeful??
I'm reminding myself that both of my favorite urban fantasy series, and main fandoms nowadays are due a new book maybe this year, and that is exciting and very much things to look forward to! It also makes me want to quickly write fic ideas I have before the canon status quo changes lol (Not that it matters. I believe you can write whatever you want. But with both of these series, we love to theorize about what is going to happen, so it feels like things are just not going to be the same when we get new pieces of information, you know?)
I'm also acutely aware that I haven't posted a Harry/Nic fanfic since the OTP challenge in NOVEMBER 2022 wtf. And uh, yeah. If you needed any further proof of my poor mental health then it is probably proof enough that I haven't touched my favorite obscure little OTP.
The good news is, that I have actually been inspired to write lately. I'm doing a little re-read of the FPA books, and also Skin Game, and it's all putting me back in the mood for fanfic. And I have been typing away for the past few weeks, trying to get back into it.
The bad news is, that I don't feel like posting things yet. I just want to be kind to myself and create without having to worry about sharing it. I know this might sound hypocritical bc I just shared a post about connecting in fandom. At the same time, sometimes it does good for a story to just let it sit and simmer a bit.
There is this expression (that I don't think is actually very popular in the English language) "to write for the drawer" and I never thought that was a bad thing. Sure I write very niche stuff so you would think it doesn't matter either way, but a story is never the same after you release it out into the world. So it's okay to keep it to yourself for a while and tinker with it and enjoy the process.
I also discovered gif making for myself. (If you have seen the gifset I posted yesterday, no you didn't :P I put it on private bc I wasn't happy with it yet. Mainly bc of the subtitle thing. I either have to figure out a clever overlay or venture out into the foreign planes of the internet to forage a little bit more lmao) I think the popularity of gifsets on tumblr is so fascinating, bc it's a format that just isn't very popular elsewhere (or convenient lol). When I was younger in fandom I never had a good enough computer to do this kind of editing. So now it just made me so happy to realize that my computer can do it, and I found it a relaxing activity.
I already dipped my toe in it with that Hellraiser/DF quote gifset, but now I figured out a method to make it look a lot better. And with open source tools too! That made me especially happy lol But I also realized that if I want to post gifsets then I might have to break my "no sideblogs" rule... Anyway, this is just one more thing that I will probably experiment with privately, and then we'll see if I put it out there or not.
So I guess what I'm trying to say is: creative hobbies are important. And if you can bring yourself to do them even when you feel like shit, it usually helps to feel a little less shitty. And that I will incubate my little projects for a while longer and then maybe I will feel like sharing them.

Just a few informational headcanons, believe it or not I've been affected by the trans Tails propaganda, but my own little twist nobody knows because yeah. Good deeds, virtues don't sell.
The idea of talking about Virtues and Good deeds isn't as big or popular but it's a good enough topic that I feel deserve a post here. Mainly that the results from our livelihood deserve this aspect of action in the world...that sounded a bit weird writing it out. What I am saying is that your action in the world, your behavior with other, and a lot of the stuff you do "off the cushion" or "with normies" matter a lot when you go and do the rituals or even meditate.
The essence of all the practices is some kind of finicky adjustment and the real meat is what you do when you talk to people, when you act with people, and how this feed back into the whole equation. It doesn't matter how you talk to random people politely, what matter is how you talk, deal, and act with people close to you.
What are you doing in the world, how are the stuff manifesting in the world, is it all internal? you have to ask yourself these questions.
"The wrong person even with the right knowledge will come to no good end. But the right person even with the wrong (or incomplete) knowledge will make it work."
Some people might think of it as "oh I don't have a lot of money", it's not even about the money, if not by the money then you can help with time, with effort, with talking, with guiding, etc. It's not about always gain and loss in that sense. I think you can see it yourself, but if you don't do anything bad or anything good which is most of population they just tend to "blob" along the sea of life not sinking nor floating, most of their action are morally ambivalent or not even considered "actions" just motions.
Paul Sedir in his book about how to Pray have a very good quote on this:
To make ourselves heard, our heart must speak the language of Heaven, and that language is charity; our person must become aware of his nothingness, and in this inner void infinity rushes in to fill it. Thus, belief is not enough; believing in God and not obeying Him is what only too many Christians do. I prefer those who claim not to believe yet obey the Divine Law. Praying without previously performing an act of charity can do nothing; whereas charity without faith still moves Heaven. Remember the wonderful stories of the Prodigal Son and the Good Samaritan. It isn’t faith that begets charity, it is charity that begets faith. Faith isn’t an opinion of the brain, it’s a conviction of the heart. To have faith in someone isn’t to believe that the person exists; it’s to trust them, and to trust them wholeheartedly.
Faith means love of God, as charity means love of one’s fellow beings. These two flames grow through one another and feed one another.
I hope, this doesn't remove the importance of the experiences, the rituals, the practices, and so on. One of my friend said he didn't appreciate the Quran or wasn't moved by the Quran until he worked with Jaljalutiya prayer. So again it's a very tricky situation, there's no one way to crack this egg and some people who over-emphasize the charity too soon don't realize it could be a bit too bad for the people who didn't have the experience or understand why they would do that. I am not telling you to go out right now and do charity just because you read it in the internet, but think about it and contemplate it.
Just like Paul Sedir said, they're two flames(prayer and Faith) working in conjunctions, your rituals, invocation, spellwork, etc AND your behavior irl, how you deal with people and how people see you, your actions, thoughts, and words. You can't just practice 1 hour a day and do shit for the rest of the 23 hours. The WHOLE thing is your practice.
Let me end this two points, first a quote and lastly a technique. The Quote from G.O Mebes' Minor Arcana course:
An isolation for too long could harden your heart and damage the intuition. A period of self-analysis lasting too long, developing the principle of reason, could take place at the cost of sensitivity, which is also necessary. This is the first danger that the disciple encounters on the Way and that you need to avoid, instituting an adequate "modus vivendi" in your environment. Ethical Hermeticism teaches that it is preferable to take just one step forward and advance your environment - even a tenth part of that step - than to take ten steps, giving nothing to the environment. It is by giving that man receives.
The technique is either the Planetary Charity which you can read about extensively here and the other one is that aim to just do one good deed a day, to counsel a friend, to drop one cent in a charity box, to pray for the dead, or to help a friend with a problem. Again, Charitable and good deeds have a lot of ways to come about them so why not try praying to be in the position to help people ;) maybe that prayer can be answered.
May the Divine Creator open the way for us to help one another as brothers and sisters.

I've started and erased this post many times; this chapter always gets me so worked up and I can't find the words to express all my thoughts. But I will try:
Enjolras' friendships
The chapter begins with just how much Enjolras has been affected by the people around him, the same way he will affect the people he is with now with his words. Combeferre had him "[undergo] a certain polarization from [his] ideas", allowing him to "[emerge] from the narrow form of dogma" and accept "the transformation of the great French Republic, into the immense human republic".
Later on, Enjolras himself calls out his admiration for Feuilly and how he "clearly behold the future", "[adopting] humanity for your mother and right for your father". All this serves to remind us that even when one is the leader, they are not exempted from learning from others and becoming a better person and/or leader because of it. To quote our favourite internet quote: to love is to be changed. Enjolras' friendship with and understanding of his men allows him to be a great leader, a better person, and shows us how such a community can benefit from learning and serving each other.
Mythological references
Enjolras' metaphor of defeating the "triple Chimæra of antiquity" is interesting! He harkens the locomotive to the hydra (thus conquering travelling over water) and the hot air balloon to the griffin (thus conquering travelling by air). I didn't know the hot air balloon was already invented by this time and from my two minutes of research, apparently the first flight of the hot air balloon was demonstrated in front of Louis XVI and his family at Versailles, which I like to think as connecting the 'defeat' of the hot air balloon with the fall of the monarchy.
He equates the next step of grasping fire as a Promethean task, which is very apt considering how Prometheus was the one who stole fire from the gods to give to mankind! Just like him, the people too will be able to steal power from the kings. Overall I love his use of mythological references, I had not known he was this knowledgeable in them (though I suppose Greek and Roman mythology were still quite popular with the Romantics, right?).
The Twentieth Century Will Be Happy
Second highest contender for possible tattoos I want to get. For the modern reader it's easy to read this pessimistically and with irony; the 20th century, after all, consisted of two world wars and countless other tragedies. Even the 21st century isn't any better. However, I interpret this quote as not the twentieth century in particular (or even the 21st or 22nd or so on). Similar to "Love, the future is thine", Enjolras is addressing the future far out of reach (it's still 1832 after all, no one is likely to see or even begin to imagine what the 20th century will be like), and believing that that future, however far it may be and despite the fact that they will not be able to see it, will bring about peace, harmony, and happiness.
However what makes this quote so tragic for me isn't the fact that it was "false" (as I've mentioned above); it's the fact that I don't personally believe that true world peace and happiness would ever happen, 22nd century or otherwise. Humankind will always disagree with one another, and disagreements amongst those in power will always lead to fallout that hurts the vulnerable the most. It would be narrow-minded to think that everything can be perfect, for that invites the danger of presumption. No century can ever truly be happy.
But, but that also means that people will always be there to fix what's wrong and to speak up for what's right. When injustice occurs, the people will quell it. When those in need of help call, the people will answer. Human suffering may be eternal, but so is the human spirit. The twentieth century may not have been happy, but the people still prevailed, and I strongly believe that we will continue to prevail for centuries to come.

False-Positive and Imitated DID
🗝️🏷️ invalidation/fake-claiming, mentions of trauma and RAMCOA. We will transcribe the tables in an edit if anyone asks
Do we all know that study with the six women? Where the researchers undiagnosed them via mass testing and then asked them all about their systems so they could find out the differences between ‘Imitated’ DID and ‘genuine’ DID.
Same study, different formats
I’ve always hated that study. That’s a popular opinion in my system. Because they took these people aside and had them talk only to turn around and tell them they didn’t count. Even if they were right — which I have my doubts — they pulled apart what these people said while they were describing their own internal experience to get ‘themes’ of false-positive DID.
They say this study is part of a larger project with 86 total participants — only 7 of which were qualified as ‘genuine DID’. They had a big sample of people with elevated levels of dissociation about identity alteration, and only 7 of them had DID.
They measures they used were fine, they did lead with vagueness of definitions and underdiagnosis of DID, but then they had nearly as many false-positives in this one sample as the total of DID diagnoses in the whole thing???
And it just gets ickier from there on. Their big themes were
Believing they had DID
Describing identity confusion and conflicting self-states as dissociative
Changing clinical presentation as they learn
Talking too much about their self-states
Don’t like being told they don’t have DID
And those were what they went with. Not ‘lack of apparent trauma’ or ‘lack of amnesia’, which would change the concept of traumagenic DID as we know it, not even ‘confusion of medical terms’ — all of which they listed as subpoints.
Theme One
The first one, ‘endorsement and identification with the diagnosis’: they looked at media like books and YouTube videos. Four had been told they had DID, the other two were diagnosed with mood disorders and found it while branching out their reading.
Most people in the age range (22-42) at the time of finish and publish (2020 and 2021) would turn to the internet about a diagnosis they identified with. They had a lack of recall for aggression and anything to do with strong negative emotions (almost like dissociative people), but often none for daily life. Sounds like P-DID or OSDD-1!
Theme Two
Which leads to the second theme, ‘using the notion of dissociative parts to justify identity confusion and conflicting ego-states’. Two of these people described actual insiders with autonomy and the ability to step into control. One was more along the lines of OSDD-1a or just DID, the other somewhere between that and Immersive Daydreaming. Another three leaned closer to non-complex Dissociative Disorders with other diagnoses, and one they didn’t quote anywhere I can find.
If Mary didn’t meet the criteria for DID, it wouldn’t be ‘imitated’ DID. It would be OSDD-1, which is basically the same thing but something is off. Same with Dominique; if she couldn’t qualify for DID, she should probably still be treated for disordered plurality — she literally struggles with named self-states, give her some IFS at least.
Theme Three
Theme three has two names. They imply different things. The section is titled ‘exploring personal experiences via the lens of dissociation’. The women read up on the disorder and expanded their vocabulary, sometimes misusing new words.
Victoria realizes she is some flavor of dissociative. Dominique doesn’t get identity alteration but aligns herselves with co-consciousness. Karina notes other self-states’ memories as different when they share with her. Mary has flashbacks — the researchers also have this insistence that alter communication be auditory, and that’s just not super common.
Theme Four
The fourth also has two names; the subtitle is ‘talking about DID attracts attention’. They decide all these headmates are metaphors, though the headmates disagree.
Mary’s alters talk to their husband and therapist. Karina’s friend describes her as plural and she has a vlog for her alters. Katie wanted to write about her plurality and gain recognition for her lived experience. They’re not ashamed as the researchers think they ought to be, so they shan’t be diagnosed.
Theme Five
This last one is ‘ruling out DID leads to disappointment and anger’. As if they didn’t interview these people about their supposedly DID systems. It goes back to the shame, and their reactions were not utter joy.
Katia says she would rather have a diagnosis, and that she would answer differently if asked a few years ago. Mary mentioned her younger selves felt neglected and disbelieved. Karina said they didn’t give her a differential diagnosis, then later sent them videos asking them to reconsider. Victoria was apparently happy enough, but she also wanted to know what was happening.
Discussion
Papers usually have a section interpreting their results and their inadequacies. They did not find themselves inadequate. Some of it was true, others made me pity their lack of understanding.
No intrusions of trauma material; atypical but not reason to refuse treatment. Somatoform symptoms don’t count as severe if they’re aggravated, I guess. Voices as primarily auditory came from a study claiming high levels of auditory hallucinations with DID.
They have a whole thing about switching — they did it during interviews and said so, but continued to use first person pronouns for actions prior to the switch. They said DID patients tend to be flightier with new people, then didn’t consider that their patients might be flighty — or inexperienced — in a different way.
Below the cut is a list of ‘red flags’ with our experience for each one. There are brief mentions of programming and RAMCOA.
There was only amnesia for emotional distress (wonder why). The women missed the word ‘flashback’ as also referring to positive memories of foreign origin. And then there’s this monstrosity:
I’m going to use our system as an example.
We were referred to our current therapist to confirm our CDD after returning from inpatient; we had experienced our first episode of co-consciousness during PHP. (Everymany knows you’re only valid if a stranger who may or may not believe in DID exists brings up your inner experience first)
The first time someone sincerely told us they thought we were plural, we brushed it off as forgetfulness and adolescence. Our current therapist let us know we did have blackouts, which qualified us for DID. We did the clinical evals before we approached our old therapist or our PHP therapist. (And they can only bring it up after they have you fill out packets and answer interviews)
We learned about DID because of the friend who noticed we had it. They were an alter is a DID system. Both of us learned about the diagnosis further from textbooks, studies, and internet sites. (In fact, you shouldn’t even know DID exists beyond maybe popular movies)
We didn’t start with jargon. We picked it up slowly, lots of PluralPedia, and only use it when it’s too difficult to describe ourselves; lack of language, too many words, therapist looks confused. But you’re telling me ‘parts’ is too technical?
We’re all over the board with this one. Before therapy, we would overshare and then shut down. I’ve had to work a lot on my self-image and realizing that having caused doesn’t mean I am harm. Others in my system have had a similar path; I made a mistake vs I am a mistake. And that’s also tied to trauma and re-traumatization, so systems or alters without that experience might not feel that shame or learn to cope with avoidance.
If somebody I didn’t recognize came up to me and told me I bit them, I would say that was not me. I did not bite them, I do not bite at all, and I would be perfectly fine with blaming that on an alter. Because it was. Some of us pretend to be one another or lie, but it’s not because we secretly don’t have DID.
What kind of evidence proves flashbacks? That sounds like they want a brain scan or to watch you relive trauma. We use a cane for possibly somatoform symptoms and have programming, but who knows what counts.
If they asked like that, I would’ve sat there quietly. Some littlies say there were ‘angels’ voices they heard externally when they were around, and we talk to each other with words most times. Again, they really want those auditory hallucinations.
Y’all, if your amnesia never or no longer affects non-negative events, this must mean no system. Our subsystems don’t always have amnesia for daily life, and we’ve gotten pretty good at sharing information and memories. We worked on that, but only because our system had amnesia there. You don’t need alter-to-alter amnesia at all for DID, let alone for neutral-to-positive stimuli. And here, too, evidence required.
We took the scenic route in explaining our symptoms and answering questions about them, weaving and losing trains of thought. The first person we went to (our PHP therapist) never asked at all, and we told him everything — only to be shot down as ‘not having trauma’ (like we’d admit to that for a fourteen hour stay).
We did not announce it with that guy, but we were Not Subtle. He triggered one of our gatekeepers with the trauma comment, and that guy stayed in front with maybe one other alter — neither of whom were the person who usually went.
Our goal has always been to make our system ours, and we don’t want to be anything else. We have a lot of skills that singlets never will, and we have relationships and other benefits that are important to us. We can read and listen to two separate pieces of media, hold conversations amongst ourselves, practice skills while a thousand other alters do the same. There are awesome things about plurality, and it’s okay to enjoy them. We also run a blog, in case you couldn’t tell.
I know we have DID. We know we have DID. It was extra scary when that PHP guy said we didn’t, and then it was disappointing when we had to leave our good therapist for a stranger. If a clinician we weren’t comfortable with tried it now, we would probably laugh and have a go at them. I don’t care if it really isn’t DID, but nobody is telling me we aren’t a system.
We hit damn near every ‘red flag’ they offered. Our system is classic, overt, even RAMCOA survivors like the examples m psych students get to understand ‘ah, this is Dissociative Identity Disorder’.
There is a range of systems that fit DID, even more that have CDDs, and even more who are plural. The diagnoses are supposed to help you, and if they aren’t, you don’t need to bother with them. Work on being authentic and free and safe and whatever else you might have set as a goal. You’re more than a code in a book.

Sally Williams headcannons? 😋
HELL YEAH I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ONE I LOVE SALLY SO MUUUCHHH, She's not THAT important in my AU but she serves an important character role as she is close to all of the lore important characters (Slender/Zalgo, Lazari, Ben, EJ, Laughing Jack+Jill) so she does serve an overarching purpose. However she just isn't that involved in the greater story.
Backstory: Sally was one of the first Creepypastas I ever learnt about! I even knew who she was before the popular ones like Jeff and Ben lol I actually got into Creepypastas properly after hearing her backstory, so I've got her to thank for how I turned out lol
Anyways...
Sally Headcanons
-Sally's one of the oldest 'beings' in the Forest, besides Slenderman and Laughing Jack+Jill. She was born in the late 50s and died in the mid 60s, making her old as HELL. However, in terms of the age she died, she's actually the youngest in the whole Labrinth.
-Since she died in the 60s, she's definitely a product of her era. Since every form of Ghost stays the same mentally and physically after death, she's definitely an old fashioned person. She doesn't really have 'traditional values' but she definitely finds it incredibly hard to understand certain 'modern aspects' of society and culture.
-She's often referred to as 'Grandma Sally' or as 'Wise Elder' by the younger beings that live in the forest. Majority of the time its used as an insult, since the spirits in the Forest don't like her.
-She ranks pretty high on the 'Ghost' Hierarchy, as she's a Spectre so she can actually achieve a corporal form under a certain set of conditions. In the Forest, she has a corporal form due to it being a Labrinth, therefore it not following natural laws, however in the Outside World she is a proper Ghost so she is invisible and cannot touch things.
-She finds it incredibly hard to understand modern technology. Since she retains the same knowledge capacity she had in life, you can explain how the Internet works to her about a million times and she still just won't understand.
-One thing she just doesn't understand is mobile phones. She only knows how to operate Payphones and Landlines, but she just doesn't understand how a phone works. She SCREAMED the first time she saw one as she believed it was some form of Magic.
-Sometimes she'll secretly watch over the Proxies when they're on missions. They only realised recently, and sometimes use her when they think she'll be useful.
Another Incorrect quote for you:
Masky: Okay Sally if we don't come back in an hour, call Slender for assistance.
Sally: I can't.
Masky: Why?
Sally: I don't have any quarters.
*Masky facepalms*
-She's a sassy ass Ghost, and only really pretends to be nice in front of newer residents or in front of the 'adults' like the Proxies, Slender, Jeff etc. Ben, Lazari, Lulu and the younger Pastas definitely know her bs.
-Her best friend is Lazari, and they go on wacky adventures like Jeff and Ben do except its WAY more chaotic, it's very fun to watch them wrestle a ghost for stealing Mr. Death from Sally.
Sally is the brains and Lazari is the brawns (since she's a half demon she's got superman levels of brute force strength).
-Since none of the Ghosts like her and Ben besides Lucy, she often gets into fights with them and boasts about how she can touch things whilst they can't. That's actually the reason why they hate her.
-Ben is sort of like an older brother to her. He often messes around with her and they have tea-parties together with Lazari, sometimes forcefully bringing Jeff along.
-Whilst Nina is gifted at reading who you are as a person, Sally is good at reading your emotions at any given moment. She's good at figuring out peoples needs and what kinda of trauma they could be suffering from. Because of this many newer Pastas tend to gravitate towards her since she'll pick up on the way they'll want to be treated.
-She both adores and is deadly terrified of Slender and Zalgo. Whilst she likes them when they're normal, and especially loves Slender when it's Charles in charge of the body, she's terrified of them when they're in their more 'demonic' states. She hates the Operator due to all the additional trauma he's given her and she doesn't really go near Zalgo due to his violent tendencies.
-Mr. Death is her comfort item, so if you DARE try and touch it without her permission she'll fucking kill you.
-As she's a ghost, she can possess inanimate objects temporarily which she likes doing to scare people, or sometimes do nice things. She once possessed Natalie's stuffed giraffe to say some kind words to her, which worked.
-She's just as capable of being nice as she is capable of being mean. However she is very kind majority of the time, just as long as you don't piss her off, or mention John Williams in ANY SORT OF WAY.
Being serious here. Any mention of John will get you a nasty smack from most residents in the mansion.
-She doesn't swear in any shape or form, as she believes it's unlady-like (remember, traditional values sort of), but she has been known to have used 'Frick' on the record at least once. She doesn't even really say 'Jesus Christ' or use the lord's name in vain, as she grew up Christian (most people were in the 60s but I'm not sure if that was confirmed or anything).
-She LOVES all of the female Pastas (Natalie, Jane, Zero, Dina etc) and often has sleepovers with them and Lazari. Her and Lazari basically do everything together and you don't really see the two apart unless if they've had a fight.
-However she has a complicated relationship with the male pastas. She's neutral towards most of them, but really dislikes Masky and Hoody alongside Jeff as they're almost impossible to read. She's definitely the closest with Ben and EJ, as they both see her as a little sister figure.
She and Laughing Jack+Jill have the most complicated relationship. Due to their personal hatred of children (besides for when he's trying to kill them), it took a long time for the two of them to get along. She likes stacking donuts on his nose when he's asleep.
-She's aware of Lazari's half-sisters, although Lazari isn't, and sometimes delivers presents to her from them.
-Due to being born during the Cold War, she's quite confused about the difference between the Soviet Union and Russia. Weird headcanon but I feel like it would be funny if there was an interaction like;
Sally: Hey did the USA finally beat the Commies?
Lazari: Girl what is a Commie
Sally: You know, like the Soviet Union? Did we finally beat them and the evil Russian spies?
Jeff: GIRL WHAT
-She wants to be apart of the Mansion's Literature Club, however Ben consistently rejects her, much to her chagrin. She mainly wants to join because she wants to figure out what the hell a Fanfiction is and why Nina is so good at writing them.
-Due to the fact that the Mansion has unrestricted internet access and Sally doesn't know enough about the internet to know how to be safe on there, she's seen...stuff.
She accidentally stumbled across Ben's search history whilst trying to use Google and THE HORRORS SHE SAW ON THERE THAT POOR POOR GIRL.
-She actually really likes My Little Pony and has some of the figures. She's blissfully unaware of what a Bronie is, thank the lord.
Her favourite character is Pinkie Pie, of course.
-She often leaves the Labrinth secretly with Lazari to mess with the local kids, and the two of them have gathered somewhat of a name for themselves.
-She often randomly gives long and philosophical speeches about life despite being mentally around 8 years old. Sometimes when Toby's having a meltdown she'll just talk about the meaning of life and family loss and everyone will just sit there in awe.
Then she'll go quiet and act like nothing happened.
