i acc really liked watching that race :3 i loveeeeee tyre strategy
LECLERC!! LECLERC !! oooh my god. i genuinely never want to hear ANYONE saying ANYTHING about his tyre management ever again. the only driver to make a one-stop work, and on MED to HARD no less (the mercs tried with hard to hard) whilst keeping competitive laptimes. he also asked for it and pushed back against his team asking for a onestop, stop the allegations sky sports. dotd deserved
YOINTS AT HOME!! yuki delivered a brilliant race out there, fab overtaking, and i cannot believe he isnt a part of the RBR conversation.
mercedes, baby *clicking* this isnt you, okay? in all seriousness this is a week track for them and theyre defo gonna look stronger when we get to the low speed corners on the calendar, where the mcL and aston will probably look weaker. so we’ll see
lots of people saying mcl fucked the strat today, but the ferrari just had better race pace and tyre deg and they had less flexibility as a result. not the best race strat wise (particularly for norris) but eh. not much to be done imo
daniel… that crash was his fault and he was lacking a bit too much awareness for someone with his level of experience. yes alex took a risk but come on. also praying for the williams mechanics rn

Do you have any pregnant Sophie HCs? (Other than the widely accepted ones 😄) I don't feel like I see people mention often things like cravings, or how Sophie felt or how Benedict treats her so I was just curious what you think!
Okayyyyyy pregnant Sophie headcanons here we go!
Sophie gets really bad morning sickness with the boys but it’s nothing compared to the sickness with Violet.
Literally 80% of foods turns her stomach and for the first three months of her last pregnancy she’s eating bland toast and can’t even tolerate sugar in her tea.
Her cravings vary from baby to baby. With Charlie she craves fruit. Strawberries and bananas mostly and very weirdly… peas! (The peas not so weird when we learn later what he becomes 😂)
Alex it’s all sugary treats. Shortbread biscuits. Turkish delight anything sugar.
William is a bit more relaxed, less sugar but tart things. Lemons and the like. Benedict comes home one day and sees her eating slice of lemon like it’s an orange.
With Violet she can’t bare food the only thing she craves is her husband.
Whilst she’s always been horny when pregnant when she’s carrying Violet it’s like another level. Benedict actually worries he’s gonna break. Not sure if he’ll break his tongue or his cock but something is defo going to break if it doesn’t calm down soon!
He accidentally makes Sophie cry when he complains about it to Anthony not realising Sophie heard every word…
Sophie’s rage when pregnant is some rather magnifient to behold. She rarely shouts but she loses her temper one day when pregnant with Charlie, Colin and Anthony teasing her over something trivial and she has them both as a cowering mess before she’s even finished her tirade.
Then bursts into tears to really confuse her brothers in law.
Kate assumes they made her cry and gives them what for as does Benedict. Only to realise they’ve just been bollocked by three people…
Benedict does everything he can to try and make Sophie’s life easier whilst she’s pregnant with Charlie
He rubs her feet and her back and does everything he thinks she wants to him to do. Trying to fix everything last little thing and all Sophie wants to do is complain, have a cuddle and leave it be.
So he inadvertently over does it and Sophie just can’t handle it anymore and Kate has to explain to him that Sophie doesn’t want him to fix everything but just listen (think Chris with Ann in Parks and Rec)
He learns when she’s pregnant the second time he always offers to rub her feet and her back and carry her to bed when she’s tried. Ask first and save a ringing ears from the yelling then tears.
Whenever she yells at someone she always bursts into tears immediately after.
Sophie always ends up huge, given her petite stature due to her malnutrition, despite her curves she always looks like ballon and feels like it. She waddles when she walks and hates her ankles and her boobs! Jesus Christ she wants to rip them off her body even if her husband can’t stop staring at them…
She feels constantly exhausted and drained and whenever anyone says she’s glowing she says “you try throwing up 10 hours a day. It’s sweat not a glow!”
Kate loves pregnant Sophie’s sass but not when it’s directed directly at her.
Violet finds it hilarious and the Bridgerton’s aren’t ever sure which Sophie they’re going to get and Benedict loves it!
The only two people Sophie doesn’t ever snap at throughout any of her pregnancies are Hyacinth and Violet.

Spiderman No Way Home: Thoughts/Reactions Pt. 1
I actually gave you all seven days before posting my No Way Home fangirl scribblings, but here we go. Just to reiterate, if you have not seen Spiderman No Way Home, you DO NOT want to read this post. I swear, I am the last girl to lecture one on avoiding spoilers since I tend to actually seek them out like a fool, but this is a movie that if you love Spiderman, if you love the MCU, if you love Marvel, if to any extent you are interested in seeing the movie, you don’t want to be spoiled. You want to run to the theaters and watch it. Now with that said, enjoy my rantings.
GENERAL
You can see Dum-E in Happy’s apartment which is adorable. I don’t think we’ve seen him on screen since Iron Man 3 when Tony pulled him out of the water after the house was attacked and much of it fell into the ocean.
The blind lawyer with the red oval glasses in case you didn’t know, is Daredevil, whose real identity is the lawyer, Matt Murdock. It seems he took a break from protecting Hell’s Kitchen to help out Spiderman. And to please the fans, it’s the same actor who played Daredevil in the tv show. The alternatives would have been Affleck (shudder), or hiring a new guy, but many were pleased with the tv shows interpretation of the man without fear.
It’s about damn time J. Jonah Jameson was added to the MCU, and there is no doubt that it was the right move to keep JK Simmons and his brilliant mustache in that role.
THE VILLAINS
Osbourn’s hoodie costume is a wonderful homage to the original Green Goblins look with the purple hat and tunic replaced with a loose hoodie. If I’m being honest, I may actually like this one more than the green suit of armor Defoe originally wore. Superhero movies when based off of a comic are held to an impossibly high standard, and the costumes of characters are iconic so recreating them, while still making them seem as realistic as they can be, is a very tall order. To many that means removing the spandex and replacing it with armor. And while I can definitely understand why they do that; I think I honestly would have preferred to see the Green Goblin flying around in those sweats than the armor he wore in Maguire’s first flick just because it looked so freaking good and right.
Fans were not impressed with the second Amazing Spider Man movie (I didn’t think it was all that bad, but maybe I’m the outlier.) One of the many thing’s fans took issue with was the blue skinned Electro who looked a little too alien and strange for a classic Spiderman movie. For this flick they got rid of the skin paint, citing it as an effect of the new world, and gave Electro a costume more accurate to his comic book counterpart. Though they still omit the triple lightning bolt mask, which may be for the best.
When listing their coolest villains Maguire talks about a “black goo from space” (Venom) and Tom talks about fighting Thanos on and off Earth. And then Andrew goes “I want to go to space. I’ve done nothing. I’ve only fought a robot rhinoceros.” The pure absurdity of the villains hits you full force and it’s great.
Electro and Sandman both talk about how they became what they are today. Electro fell into a vat of electric eels and Sandman fell into a particle accelerator. They then quip that they should be careful where they fall. A common comic book villain origin seems to be them falling into something and this hilarious exchange got a chuckle from the whole theater. If these people just put railings around their science experiments, there would be a whole lot less supervillains.
William Defoe deserves all the praise in the world for bringing to life the most iconic Spiderman villain, both in Rami’s 2002 flick and in this one. Every time I watch him I just get so amazed at how wonderfully he portrays a true comic book character who really shouldn’t adapt so well to the screen.
Two famous Spiderman villain lines are requoted in this film. The first is by Green Goblin, who says in Maguire’s first film “You know, I’m something of a scientist myself.” when he was introducing himself to Peter while dropping off Harry. The second is done by Doc Oc who says, “The power of the sun in the palm of my hand.” Though that one was said by Otto as a direct and intended callback.

Derek X.: Definitely gives me “charming best friend that becomes a pawn week one” vibes. But one to look out for. I’ve learned not to discount people after BB21.
Frenchie: Has low lows (bc being a part of stan Twitter is cringe in itself) but some pretty high highs (Rachel’s hair extensions lmaooooo). Per the rules of equilibrium he lands in the middle tier.
Hannah: DEFO the Haleigh/Bayleigh of the season, INSTANT fave.
Kyland: Seems decent enough on paper but I do agree that he gives off “token black friend” vibes. Makes me scared that he’ll end up in an alliance with someone like Travis and get caught in his bs. MOR for now but he could surprise me. I like a movie nerd.
Sarah: Seems sweet enough, but definitely the most middling person in this cast list.
Tiffany: Another one that became an instant fave. I can overlook her poor choice in duos bc her potential to do well is MASSIVE. Do NOT sleep on her, people.
Travis: This man is a Class A AIRHEAD. He’ll probably be Brett but worse. Body can only get you so far my dude
Whitney: Don’t trust her, NEXT
Xavier: oof this guy is GORGEOUS 💗gives me Marcel from The Originals vibes, could also be a FORCE in the game so definitely excited for him
tl;dr I just want this to either be a giant improvement from the last two seasons. even something of bb20 caliber will be acceptable. at the very least give me another twitch streamer

Love the Spiderman content you've been reblogging recently! If you had to rank each version of Peter Parker (as in the different movies/actors) from best to worst, how would you do it and why?

so i don’t think i can rank the spider-man films, i love all of them. they all have their strengths and weakness, but i don’t think one is inherently worse than the others. of course we’re always going to have our favourites, but to be honest, i’m not really a fan of trying to pit one version against the other. each interpretation has something to offer!
tobey maguire
the pure nostalgia, it simply cannot be beaten. obviously the quality and some of the storytelling isn’t quite up to scratch these days, but back in 2002, when there was literally no other marvel film to compare it to? a Cinematic Masterpiece thank you very much
i loved marvel ever since i was a kid, but the only way i could consume it was through the comics or cartoons. there were no live-action films to watch, only dc and their multiple sodding version of superman and batman (who i never cared for). seeing a superhero i actually liked on the big screen was so exciting and for that reason it will always have a special place in my heart
there are some iconic scenes that i think still stand the test of time – the first wall crawl, stopping the train, the upside-down kiss which was uh... let’s just say an awakening for 11 year-old lauren
the fun and silliness of it all! william defoe’s green goblin. classic.
the only peter (up until spiderverse i suppose) to really embrace the “help me i’m poor!!” vibe that he has in the comics
kirsten dunst’s mj watson giving me that redhead representation i crave!

the closest to comic book peter i always pictured in my head - his looks, his mannerisms, his sense of humour, everything
the strongest “friendly neighbourhood spider-man” vibes of them all. the way you really get the sense that he’s part of his community, and just how much the new yorkers love him. THE SCENE WHERE THE WORKMEN SHIFT THE CRANES TO HELP HIM SWING. OMG. I CRIED BUCKETS IN THE CINEMA.

i know this version gets a lot of stick for bad plot, and some of it is warranted, but i think some of the criticisms are unnecessarily harsh. both films were good fun, and yeah, tasm2 had the big problem of two villains but then so did black panther yet most people seemed perfectly happy to let that one slide
the only version to really capture the slightly darker side of peter, the sheer rage that sometimes consumes him
i appreciate that they decided to forgo the more obvious love story of peter/mj and tell his story with gwen instead
AND ANDREW AND EMMA AS PETER AND GWEN. THE CHEMISTRY. THE TRAGEDY. UNMATCHED.
it didn’t happen (big sigh), but i think the only peter who could’ve handled himself with ryan reynold’s deadpool. love them together in the comics, so it’s fun to imagine.

the peter who most brings out that “oh shit he’s really just a kid, someone protect him!” instinct that i think a lot of spidey fans have towards him
the only version that really shows him actually struggling to juggle being spider-man with being a teenager who needs to keep up with his schoolwork
they didn’t make us watch uncle ben die again. thank god.
the most obvious plus i suppose – peter finally gets to meet and fight alongside tony stark (and the rest of the avengers). i LOVED spidey and iron man together in the comics, and it was so cool to finally see an onscreen interpretation of their relationship
to expand on that – because this peter is part of the mcu and can therefore interact with other characters, there’s just more potential there, more to look forward to. i’m DYING to see him with doctor strange soon – their teamups in the comics were always trippy as hell and i think the mcu will have a lot of fun with them

Writing Update 05
Guess who finished. guess. go on guess. That’s right it was me!!
It was pretty intense because my playlist had finished and so I was sat feverishly typing the last paragraph out in silence and then when I went round for the final spell check I was listening to Achilles Come Down by Gang of Youths and it finished as I finished and it was a moment.
So so so. in total we have
69069 words (nice) and 102 pages spread over 23 chapters and 5 parts. I can actually go into the plot and stuff now too because I know what that is from start to finish. I won’t go into that here I’ll just talk about the last chapters. Buckle up this ones gonna be long.
Whence last we left off there were 17 chapters and now there’s twenty-three. Chapter seventeen also has an actual name too so yay.

Chapter 17 originally is now what chapter 18 and chapter 23 isn’t really an epilogue but it also is y’know? Like the last two chapters are the endings in their own right (I say as if I didn’t stop reading The Darkest Minds seven pages from the end)

Chapter 16 (I can finally explain this stuff woo) we had the fallout to the guy’s being told they have to pay the devil – who isn’t really the devil and is actually a god in his own right but that’s beside the point – back for everything he’s done for them. this one focuses on Valentine and Albert having a bit of a moment where I realised ‘oh gosh everyone is a foil to everyone oh gosh’
Chapter 17 is kinda the same but from William and Basil’s side where they have their own conversation about who Will killed Charlie by accident….yeah…William is still baby he just killed someone that’s fine. This is fine.
Chapter 18 is where shit hits the fan because oh my god James is back!!!!! Idk if I mentioned this but James is Enoch’s dead bf who wasn’t dead at all and I’ve been hinting at it the entre god damned book. I almost didn’t include it but after a talk with one of my friends I realised that James’ being alive would bring in more tea than ever before and well,,,,,,why wouldn’t I?
Oh yeah James also tells Enoch that everyone is coming to find them.
The way I'm explaining this seems like stuff just happens, but I swear I do add threads throughout! I'm just disjointed in my thought process.
Chapter 19 is the beginning of the end. We have a rush to pack as they’re trying to get out and they would have more help from James but Basil doesn’t trust James, Enoch is drunk, William has lost a lot of blood and both Al and Valentine had been asleep so they’re slow and groggy and it’s raining because England and winter and the coast is just a great combination.
Enoch and James end up going ahead cus people are getting close and they need to get their stuff away from there. There were three cases left to tie but they didn’t have time so while James and Enoch go ahead the others are carrying the last three cases to the docks so they can tie and run.
Chapter 20 is where Enoch wraps his beef with Aristide up. kinda. He originally planned on just saying goodbye but then stuff happens and he feels bad for Aristide so he just gives him to the devil without the murder part of it.
Chapter 21 valentine kills his uncle and gets closure™
Chapter 22 this chapter is so good. I love it, I love it so much. I'm still kinda feeling funky about it because its got a flashback and the rest of the book hasn’t got anything exactly like this – unless you consider the small titbit in chapter 17 a flashback. But I really delve into Sebastian’s psyche and before then I kinda hated Sebastian but it feels like he's had a whole ass character arch and I love it. I really love this chapter so much.
And finally chapter 23 is them running and the last of the setup for the next book
I want to include memes but they’re all old stuff. If I have anything new, I’ll insert it if not I’ll keep 5 random facts about the boy’s as my transition.
Albert
When he was a bab he wanted to meet keats before he realised the mans is dead.
Can write in shorthand in both Russian and English just so long as he doesn’t focus too hard on it

When they were still at school he would look after the groups deeds to land and do all the legal stuff for them because they had no clue. He still has all of Valentine’s papers and so could technically steal valentines land and nobody would care.

Is really good at science but just doesn’t care about it
He ate leek and potato soup exclusively for three weeks on a dare
Once played Mercutio and tripped on stage. Managed to hide it pretty well but hasn’t lived it down.
Would live in an old theatre if he could just for the aesthetic and bragging rights
Valentine
His family is of German heritage
Bakes as a stress relief but gets hyper focused on one thing for ages (tarts is the big one of the year)
Is the mum of the group but wouldn’t ever admit it
Cannot do maths for shit. or much else. He can just speak a lot and paint.
It’s a continuous joke irl and in novel universe that he’s called Valentine, but his birthday is on February 15th because his parents thought it was still February 14th when he was born.
William
Allergic to honey but would eat it anyway

Has a really bad centre of gravity and falls over a lot

The gate yielded under his hand, the closest he got to acceptance in the high walls. It seemed colder once he’d walked into the threshold, urging him towards the sickening feeling of unbelonging that sat in his gut. It made him want to turn away and never come back some of the time. How much he didn’t belong there.

Basil reached into Albert’s pocket and pulled the crocus out. Albert didn’t react as he did so. he stared at it twirling it between his fingers staring at the petals and their untarnished glory despite having been used to kill them all at least once.
And while that isn’t the last line that’s the end of this. I'm taking a break from beginning anything big and while I want to move onto writing Adalius, Ariane and Adionis’ story I’ll wait for a moment before I do. just because I cant bring myself to think about how I'm starting this yet.
Anyway. That means no updates for at least 3 weeks. I know you’re all distraught. But yeah.

New AU I thought of.
Okay, so I’ve been getting into the Chzo Mythos series and I’ve been thinking of some scenes for an AU I’ve been working on. I’m gonna call this “The Actors AU”.
So, the general idea of this is the Chzo Mythos is a movie franchise made in the span of five years (The same as the games. 5 Days a Stranger in 2003, 7 Days a Skeptic in 2004, Trilby’s Notes in 2006, and 6 Days a Sacrifice in 2007.). Now, 10 years after 5 Days’ release, the actors get called to do an interview to talk about what it was like to work on the movie. Trilby is his wonderful cat burglar self and he gives a special shout out to a certain someone he had been living with. (You can pretty much guess who. :3)
After the interview, Simone invites Trilby and the others to dinner. Once there, they reunite with the other actors and actresses from the subsequent sequels. Shenanigans ensue.
Notes about the AU
- Chris and Trilby live together in their house. They’ve known each other since high school and they were college and apartment roommates. At first, Trilby didn’t really get along with him, but after some things happened, his attitude toward him softened and he came to appreciate him as his friend and later, his boyfriend.
- It may not have been seen in the original 5 Days movie, but Philip and Simone hang out a lot and they are really good friends. Simone works on documentaries and variety shows while Philip works on shows related to treasure hunting. Whenever they’re not busy, they go sightseeing. Philip likes to to go to beaches with his metal detector in search for buried treasure and has an interest in cave exploring. Simone always calls him “Indiana Jones” because Philip always looked up to him and always referred to him as his role model.
- While Trilby’s Notes was in production, Jim and Siobhan met each other while he was touring the set and they struck up a pretty good friendship. Jim is a big fan of Terry Pratchett, especially the Discworld series. Jim and Siobhan like to play video games together. Whenever Jim gets stuck, Siobhan would always help him out. Jim gave her the nickname “Sio”, which confused her at first, but soon, she came to accept and like it.
- Speaking of Trilby’s Notes, Trilby and Siobhan became best friends after they spent time together on set. When someone asks her what it was like to work on the movie, Siobhan always talks about a time where while they were filming a scene where Trilby kicks the Tall Man, but accidentally kicks Siobhan instead, he kicked her so hard, he ended up knocking her out. Trilby always apologizes for it even when Siobhan says that she forgives him.
- Speaking of the Tall Man, in this AU, he’s not a menacing guy that struck fear to anyone who sees him. He’s just a guy wearing a faceless white mask. Cabby makes things harder for the others and is generally a nuisance.
- The 7 Days a Skeptic cast consist of a tightly-knit group of friends. Malcolm is like a therapist to them and knows what to say to them whenever they’re in a bad spot. William has the typical anxiety that he gets when he gets the new job. He always comes to talk to Malcolm about his problems and that leads to comfort between besties. William was starred in a famous medical drama and as a result, he is very talented and skilled in medicine. Adam is a stand up comedian, Serena and Angela work alongside Simone, and Barry... Well, Barry is the kind of guy who likes to party and get wild. Although the others are there to make sure Barry doesn’t get into too much trouble. The others know about Barry’s antics, but they let him off the hook because “Well, at least he isn’t Roderick.”
- Theo didn’t grow up in the best household. His parents left him alone for all hours of the day and when they do show up, all they do is spout their beliefs onto him. For a long time, Theo believed what his parents told him. As a result of his parent’s absence, he began to crave attention, no matter if it was good or bad. When he met Janine, he latched onto her and as a result, he developed separation anxiety. When he first met Chris and Trilby, he thought that their relationship was a little iffy. But after talking to Janine, he came to accept them.
- John and Matthew Defoe are pretty much the same as the games. Matthew likes art and literature while John is curious about what’s going on in the world. John has autism and as a result, he doesn’t talk much. When he does talk, it’s usually in short sentences. Matthew tries his best to help his brother, though and he pretty much protects him from his father whenever he gets drunk.
One thing you need to know about this AU
At times, the characters will refer to an incident that happened a long time ago. It’s something that Chris and Trilby rarely talk about, but it was this incident that caused Trilby to change his attitude about Chris. The name of the incident was “The Pool Incident”.
So, yeah. I hope this AU is good for you guys. I got the inspiration for this from Wes Craven’s New Nightmare and Scream.

Norman Osborn wants to be Tony Stark
Spoilers for Spider-Man Far From home ahead!
Marvel gets a lot of shit for making all their villians the same. Or at least, they used to. Everyone was a dumb grey monster or an evil businessman that was pissed off at Tony Stark (Or a very similar character, Hank Pym). Obadiah Stane, Justin Hammer, Aldritch Killian. Even Spider-Man's villians are only fighting him because Tony Stark Screwed them over. Adrian Toomes steals from Tony Stark, and tells Spider-Man to stay out of his way. Quentin Beck had his "Glory" stolen by Stark and copies his shtick by flying around in armor and shooting lasers from his hands.
It would be super easy to make Norman Osborn one of these cookie cutter bad guys. Barely an inconvenience, as a popular youtuber is known to say. He is a chemical weapons manufacturer after all. If I myself were a youtuber, I'd show the scene from Sam Ramey's Spider-Man where Norman Osborn gets screwed over by his shareholders, and edit in Tony Stark at one of the chairs at that table. I don't even need to give him any lines, just have him be on his phone and ignoring William Defoe's great performance. Hell, the special weapon that those bigwigs choose to fund instead of Oscorp looks a lot like an early Iron Man prototype.
I think it would be more interesting if, instead of hating Stark, Osborn LOOOVES Stark. He wants to be Stark, and copies him. Not the way Quentin Beck copied Stark, just going for the glory of superherodom. Norman Osborn should believe in what Stark believed in. He should believe in protecting Earth, by any means necessary. the only difference is that he should take it too far.
about a decade ago, I was reading spider-man comics, along with some X-Men and other stuff. I wasn't the super nerd that I am now, but I was reading Spidey's arc for civil war. it started with Peter already working with Tony, in his Iron Spider Suit. MJ and Aunt May knew about his life, and even lived safely in Stark Tower. The civil war broke out, and as a show of good faith towards Tony, Peter willingly showed his face and gave his name on national telivision. it showed the reaction of everyone he knew, including his hated enemies.
Then Spider-Man realized that Tony Stark (And also Reed Richards) were going way too far in their pursuit to track down and arrest rogue superheroes. Spider-Man realized he was on the wrong side of the war, and had to do the right thing, even though it would put the two women he loved in mortal danger. Shit hit the fan hard, Iron Man's Gauntlets clashed with Cap's shield, and at the end of the day, Peter returned bloody and bruised to a hotel room where his wife and Aunt were staying, ready to leave New York as fugitives. The Civil War story arc for Spider-Man ended with Aunt May getting shot by a mercinary with a sniper rifle, and Peter holding her in his arms.
the next Arc, Back in Black, begins with Peter losing his shit and throwing a jeep throw the third floor wall of a building across the street, trying to kill the man that shot his aunt. Shit gets super dark, with Peter going to Batman or Daredevil lengths of vengeance, and then almost going full Punisher. he even puts on a clothe version of his black suit, to signify that while the red white and blue Spider-Man was a protector, a symbol for justice, the black and white spider-man has nothing but vengeance in his heart.
The Civil War story also leads into the Secret Invasion storyline, where a shit ton of skrulls impersonate superheroes now that Earth is vulnerable. In Spider-Man Far From Home, we get hints that there may be some kree agents impersonating humans, and perhaps a hint to that Back in Black storyline, although I doubt that would get as dark. the reason I'm bringing Secret Invasion up at all is because it's resolved by Norman Fucking Obsorn shooting the skrull queen in the god damn face. I don't remember how he managed it. the guy dresses up like a skrull all the time, so maybe he just wrinkled the chin on his goblin mask and waltzed on in, figuring Skrulls would never expect someone to impersonate them. but what is super important is that this caused the god damn green goblin to be allowed to run the next friggin set of Avengers.
y'all remember Iron Patriot from Iron Man 3? that was originally Norman Osborn, wanting to merge the styles of the two leaders of the Avengers so that he could be a big dick hero. He had his name run through the mud, and rightly so because he’s an asshole who clones people just for shits and giggles. but he wanted to change how the people perceived him. He got it in his head that he could be a better superhero than Spider-Man. After the Secret Invasion, they had the Dark Reign, where Osborn hired a bunch of supervillians to impersonate the old Avengers team. Wolverine was replaced by his son, Daken, wearing a wolverine suit, while Bullseye got to wear Hawkeye's suit, and venom got to impersonate Spider-Man.
Now, there's also an extra twist in this that connects to the MCU. At the time of the Dark Reign, it wasn't Eddie Brock or Flash Thompson bonded with the Venom Symbiote, it was Mac Gargan. The Scorpion. the guy who got put in jail in Homecoming, and said he had guys on the outside that would kill Spider-Man and his family once they got his name. Well they sure have his name now!
I doubt Gargan would become venom just for the Dark Reign storyline, but I can see him getting into the scorpion suit just to go kill Peter. It was originally designed to be an anti-spider-man weapon, and in the Ultimate Comics Scorpion was even a Clone of Peter. So Scorpion being the evil mirror of Spider-Man could work. The suit would give him similiar strength and speed. Osborn could still hire Mac Gargan as his official Spider-Man stand in, and since Spider-Man is labeled as a terrorist, they don't even need to pretend he's Spider-Man, just someone like Spider-Man for theming or branding purposes.
hell, we might have already even seen the Scorpion suit, or at least part of it. Spider-Man keeps his Iron Spider suit in a fancy containment chamber in his house, and never even puts it on in Far From Home. I assume it's an emergency only suit for him. Since the baddies know who he is, it would be pretty easy for someone to break in and steal it, if they know what they're looking for. A few tweaks and a new paint job later, Spider-Man is fighting a viscious killer who's wearing the suit that helped him fight aliens a short while ago. the spider-legs in the back could be rebuilt into a tail, perhaps by a Doctor Otto Octavious...
Now, that's how the Dark Reign started. you know how the Dark Reign Ended? Thor came back to Earth after Asgard's destruction, with his entire floating city. Norman framed one of the Asgardians for the destruction of a stadium full of people. Then he led Hammer, which had replaced Shield at the time, on a full on war against New Asgard.
All the pieces are in place for this storyline to commence. New Asgard is in Norway. The Avengers are mostly either retired or passed on. Spidey's framed. Skrulls and Kree are running around Earth playing Guess Who. Osborn probably already bought Stark Tower during the Blip timeskip. If they bring Task Master in for Black Widow to fight, he could wear the Hawkeye suit. Although I’d love to see Bullseye in this sort of movie... hell I’d also love to see Taskmaster copy all of Black Widow and Captain America’s moves. Maybe Taskmaster could secretly be a woman who was part of the Red Room stuff? that would be pretty neat for a Black Widow movie...
What I'd especially like to see from the MCU version of Norman Osborn is them introducing him as a guy who wants to be a hero, trying so hard to be both Iron Man and Captain America. It would be a great superhero tragedy if he really believed in Iron Man’s dream of a suit of armor around the Earth, but he became a dictator. Maybe he thinks he's created the next Super Soldier Serum, but it turns out to be the Goblin Serum instead. He could test it on himself, and it could amplify his already present violent tendencies.

Dumb AC concept ideas
So this is basically a info dump of ideas for potential AC games and concepts that its been playing with in my head, it's mostly me nerding out about junk (look if I can info dump about Teotihuacan I’ll do it.) like it's ideas that I think would be cool and what id want to see in future installments, even if they aren't likely to happen. It's also written super casually cause I started making this in a burst of inspiration at like 2 am and yet still got distracted from it cause I started going on tangents. So it's a bit of a mess. I’m totally down for bouncing ideas around if anyone has their own concepts.
1920’s jazz age assassin from the beginning of unity and the abstergo employee handbook. "The lives and failures of the most degenerate Americans to ever grace the world's stage - Hemingway, Fitzgerald, and Stein." please tell me how this doesn't sound cool as shit? Okokokokokokok SO… CARS. like this dude would have a car (and of course the player can earn different cars and looks for their car and junk, including a yellow Duesenberg… like come on if he knew Fitzgerald they gotta let this dude drive Gatsby's car.) I think there can be an argument about him having a rope launcher attachment buuut maybe not??? I mean a car and a rope launcher would be dope as hell. The dude probably bounced between Paris and New York if he's a genuine jazz age junkie like how abstergo describes him and his writer pals. Also it would be cool to meet Picasso… also his base of operations should be a fucking speakeasy, like duh, like where else would a 1920’s assassin camp out? I don’t really have any plot ideas but the concept of a jazz age assassin is cool enough for me to want it this badly.
1970’s-1980’s William Miles in a corporate espionage type game, like i know he had Desmond in 1987 but he was an active filed assassin in 1977 when he was in Moscow so clearly he could've been doing other junk around then. It doesn't have to be him, i just want a 70’d-80’s assassin trying to fuck with abstergo and trying to steal animus research or something. Like Alieen Bock died in 81 and that was at the height of animus research before abstergo started really investing in it cause of Vidic. Like the surrogate initiative and the animus project are… basically the same thing really. Like knowing that Altair and Ezio were not actually related until their bloodlines crossed with Desmond. So with the memory keys being cited as an integral part of the animus project they obviously had a role to play in the surrogate project. Besides the newer games are pretty loosey-goosey with how the DNA and animus junk works now, with the spear having DNA traces or whatever and its corrupted enough that we could… choose things?? (don't ask questions just have fun i guess.) ok i’m over thinking this stuff… but come on… disco!!!!! Please please please have a disco assassination. Like… the idea of an assassin taking out a target at the disco is cool enough for me to want it. ALSO!!! If it goes into the 80’s then please for the love of god a Thriller inspired outfit would be to die for. Like i know getting the exact look would be a trademark nightmare but an inspired look may be able to get away with it. I just want some real corporate espionage type missions while dressed in some brightly colored dorky(cool as shit) 70’s/80’s fashion.
So like… ANYTHING from ancient Andean culture. So The Chimú or the Moche… that would be cool, but I'd settle for Wari and Tiwanaku. I just kinda want to see Chan Chan recreated. And Moche art was so fucking good like… idk man they're making video games that are mostly of ancient cultures now so the possibility of them making something in a more modern setting is slim to none. Like come on they're gonna want to make like idk maybe one more really ancient cultural game so they can still reuse assets again before making a whole new saga. That's just their track record. The problem with doing an ancient andean cultural video game is that there isn't a lot to work with other then our knowledge of the architecture and artistry of the ancient peoples. We have art documentary significant events but there isn't really any historical recordings so there's no significant figures to meet or events to take part in that we know of right now. BUT that also means that hey if Ubisoft wants us to have freedom of choice within the narrative this would be a great opportunity.
Speaking of ancient culturesssss ancient Mexican cultures would be REALLY cool too. Like obviously Mayans culture is the first to come to mind but AC already kinda explored the Mayans so idk maybe a more underrated ancient culture deserves the spotlight. The Zapotec and other civilizations in the Oaxaca. Like this would be really cool since we actually see a rise in raiding and conquest warfare, like theres these bas-relief stone carvings called Las Danzantes which are actually depictions of sacrificial victims, most likely foreign captives. The architecture is also to die for like i’m a sucker for talud-tablero style stuff popping up in ancient Latin america. Also do i gotta say it? BALL COURTS!!! A recreation of the ancient ball game in a video game would be cool as shit my dudes like… please i want this so bad. Like how origins depicted mummification with respect I’d love to see the same kind of loving dedication to the funerary practices of the ancient peoples. (off topic completely but some latin american civilizations had their own forms of mummification) like i wanna see the abandonment of Monte Alban and the later use of it by the Mixtecs. But the most important thing about the celebration of the ancient Zapotec would be the ability to celebrate the modern Zapotec culture, that would just be cool. Ok I’ll finish up this train of ideas with the one i really really really want to see recreated, the original Teotihuacan, before the Aztecs found it. With the pyramids being painted and covered in beautiful carvings and, of course, talud-tablero style architecture. It's basically the biggest ancient city in mesoamerica with hidden cave systems that we are still finding today and so much of the ancient city was built over because it might've been covered up or eroded to the point where no one knew it was there, or because there wasn't really anyone who cared enough to uh, not build on top of historical sites. Modern mexico city is built all around and on top of it (apparently you can see Walmart from the top of the temple of the sun…) so its a huge ancient city that was really colorful and really populated with crazy ancient tunnels underneath the pyramids that we’ve only discovered recently so how fucking cool are those possibilities? Like i just can't get over the idea of some assassin-esque person climbing up red pyramids and sitting next to statues and carvings of Queztalcoatl painted in a turquoise. Ancient farms and city life thriving. From what we know about it, like many other ancient latin american cities it was abandoned at some point, exactly why is unclear though (probably a mix of things cause there wasn't any kings really but more like… neighborhood councils (that's the best guess rn)). It was an actual city though, most archaeologists compare it to modern cities due to its city planning and its huge population. What was left behind was so spectacular that when the Aztecs found it they legit thought it was the city of the gods. This was a real fucking city and I’m crazy about it man i want it in a fucking video game my dudes.
COWBOYS PLEASE. Like i know rdr2 came out so they probably wont do it (for a while at least) and they already have the gold rush assassin so they've dabbled with cowboy stuff but… cowboys… like theres nothing else to say really… Cowboys. Also like i know how AC is pretty much ass melee combat and cowboys means guns and lots of guns and bows and probably rope darts. But… folding swords. That my shitty solution to have melee combat, like syndicate had melee and some gun stuff cause duh, but it was mostly melee. Like you can make the game centered around stealth so a lot more sneaking then combat, kinda like in unity. I have a few ideas for this one but most of them play into my own personal cowboy wish fulfillment fantasy of owning a farm with snakes for the production of venoms and other toxins. It's hard to explain but i kinda really want to see someone with a snake/spider enclosure where they produce venoms for the protag to use. The specific time period i have in mind is like 1870-1888 but it could defo go later. It's just that was peak for a lot of famous gunslingers and robberies. And Mesa Verde was basically rediscovered in the late 1880’s (its kinda weird like it was “officially” discovered in 88 but others saw it before that soooo. Also Montezuma Castle would be cool to visit in game as well. I dont have have a lot of knowledge about mesa verde or Montezuma but i know they're cool af.) the wild west is just ripe with possibility so i have some hope they’ll do one in the future but i don't see it happening anytime within the next couple of years.
Please for the love of god give me a AC3/unity dual sequel. Set in 1798 Egypt before during and maybe a little after the french invasion of Egypt. There would be a ton to work around and justify to get that to happen in universe buuuuut… i want it so badly. I have a shit ton of ideas but im saving all of that for a rainy day.
I wouldn't mind if they actually did stuff with WWI, mostly cause i really like that one WWI assassin from project legacy and Lydia's whole thing was really cool.

Gobins in Movies Ratings
Goblin Muppets from Labyrinth
A good variety of goblins are found in this shot alone so judging them for a uniform look will be more tricky than usual. However the overall aesthetics of these goblins do a good job at showing that these creatures are cunning, magical, and mischievous.
Also their king (Jareth) is played by David Bowie, so you really can’t go wrong here.
Rating: 9/10 (15/10 with Bowie as their king)
Goblins from Troll 2
Some of the nature of Goblin deception and magic is present, as well as their need to consume grosser foods(in this case people turned into vegetation... for some reason). Though I feel as though they are not well placed in a movie called “Troll 2″, but I can’t change bad marketing(or bad movies in general).
Their hobgoblin is not quite as charismatic as Bowie, but admittedly that’s an impossible standard anyway. While I can look at these and think “Goblin”, They are just not quite in the fun spirit of what really makes a goblin. I mean they can’t even smile. But perhaps I’m being too harsh on creatures from a bad horror movie.

Goblins from the Harry Potter Series
What goblins could possibly be doing running banks is beyond me. Other than having the big ears and sharp teeth, there’s not much goblin nature in here. No mischief and no fun, as implied by working as bankers. They also look a little too much like the goblins from Troll 2, which isn’t always fair to make comparison, but the fact that the original Troll movie has a character called Harry Potter(I’m not joking, the Troll movies even predate the books) is too much of a coincidence to ignore.
Rating: 5/10
Goblins from The Spiderwick Chronicles
I’ve mentioned these guys in my last goblin ratings post, so a lot of what I said there still reflects my opinions here. But to recap, while more animal like, these goblins feel like a force of unpredictable nature, which is absolutely fine to do. Its a different but refreshing take on the old goblin folk.
Also the Red Cap is pretty cool here. Though, they don’t show his murderous nature too much, but as a kid’s story, I can let it slide.
Rating: 8/10
The Green Goblin from the Spiderman Trilogy
Once again he’s not a real goblin! While William Defoe’s performance echoes that great goblin nature, HE’S STILL NOT A GOBLIN!

nico rosberg please come to every race im so serious. hes so fucking funny and genuinely incredible to listen to, especially in quali when he was talking through the laps... god i love listening to him so much
sainz... sainz... at the risk of being biased (i dont like sainz very much, lol) i really need him to Stop! im getting a bit sick of him just consistently blaming everything but himself for performance issues and refusing outright to be a team player. Between the comments on the sprint, fighting leclerc way too hard considering it was in a sprint for one (1) point and leclerc was faster (and could have caught perez!) and considering that he was carrying damage there too! no reason to not let your teammate through at that point. then the comments on the grand prix start losing places to russell and implying it was leclerc's fault for defending against him the same way HE did yesterday? god. please. just own up to being slower. charles has had zero issues owning up to his mistakes and low performance in australia and japan (both quali issues caused partially by the DNA of the SF-24), so why can sainz not do it?
as an offshot to this, sainz crashed out in q2 of quali and it was HIS fault and the commentators/pundits have barely mentioned it???? even using it as an excuse to praise the team?? and the bias is insane. i can think of a few drivers who would be ripped to shreds for the same mistake. ultimately it didnt mean anything because he got the car going, but god.
alonso recieving three penalty points for his move on sainz in the sprint (deserved penalty, but very harsh) but stroll and magnussen committing war crimes on ricciardo and tsunoda and only recieving two??? um???? FIA????
ferrari in general was hugely underwhelming and benefitted from a shockingly bad strategy call from AM to go on the soft (alonso on the hard likely wouldve finished above sainz, at least). Mcl also benefitted.
mclaren was a LOT stronger than we thought! but i think this is likely as a result of ferrari looking weaker than expected as well, regardless, lando delivered a great drive and dotd deserved today!! (never trust lando when he says they'll be weak, hes a LIAR!)
ferrari again: seem to only work on the medium tyres right now. they have to be a bit more aggressive or hope for much hotter temps in miami because they've gone so far on the tyre deg that they can't heat the tyres or get them into the correct performance window particularly in cooler conditions
piastri has struggled all weekend with tyre deg and i still believe this is why norris is clearing him, but !! piastri was carrying SIGNIFICANT damage after the safety car incident involving RIC/PIA/ALO/STR, so he did a decent job limiting damage. he stayed incredibly calm and composed. great drive from him.
speaking of damage control, hamilton recovered very, very well. p18 to p9 isn't bad, and considering russell was only p6, probably not far off what he could've managed with a "normal" quali, so...eh. not where merc wanna be, but maybe if they wanna be higher they could build a better car /j

Wombwell Rainbow Interviews
I am honoured and privileged that the following writers local, national and international have agreed to be interviewed by me. I gave the writers two options: an emailed list of questions or a more fluid interview via messenger.
The usual ground is covered about motivation, daily routines and work ethic, but some surprises too. Some of these poets you may know, others may be new to you. I hope you enjoy the experience as much as I do.

is a writer, performer, podcaster, creative writing workshop tutor and sometimes experimental musician from Manchester who also is currently co running Stretford’s always welcoming spoken word night ‘Speak easy’
He has been published in numerous books and magazines and has been performing in some form or the other since 2006 and regularly since 2008 and was also vocalist and keyboardist in the spoken word collective ‘A Means to an End’ (Can be found on facebook).

The Interview
1. When and why did you start writing poetry?
I actually started writing poetry when i was 10. It was terrible i seem to recall. My teacher encouraged to keep on it at it

2. Who introduced you to poetry?
Good question. It was my teacher Miss Fenton. She always thought i had a good eye for images even back then
.
2.1. What poetry did she introduce you to?
She introduced me into Hilaire Belloc at the time. My major inspirations Hugo Williams and Paul Celan / Wilfred Owen came during college and at degree level years ago.
2.2. How did they influence you?
In Williams case it was the human touch the sheer love of life. Cealan and owen the misery
3. How aware are and were you of the dominating presence of older poets traditional and contemporary?
Not really if I am honest until I got into my mid 20s when I went back to evening classes. I had left school with quite poor qualifications (long story) and next to no interest in writing by the time I got to 18 or 19 and although I touched on poetry while studying English A Level (where I studied Tennyson, Browning and Swinburne etc), it wasn’t until I got to university in 1999 as a mature student (I was 27) when I really began to see the dominating presence of older poets traditional and contemporary and slowly began to find my own voice.
4. What is your daily writing routine?
I actually have a day job (I wish I was a full time artist) so that covers me during the day so it usually means just the evening when I get home. I’m quite deep into the world of Podcasting at the moment which can means that does take some time up when I am at home, and I also do ambient music under the name of Ocean in a Bottle but if I am not writing everyday I am always reading and usually have either a book in my bag or a new poetry book on my kindle. Bookwise, that’s Robert Cochrane’s ‘A Memory of Keys’ and I have a pre-order of a book by a South African writer called Alta Martin which is out later in the year I think.
5. What motivates you to write?
What motivates my writing? That’s a good question really. When I first started writing right up to when I went to university, I never really had any plans with it atall, perhaps I thought it was something more interesting to do than just watch Television. The older I got, it changed and now I love telling my own stories in poems rather than been told stories (for example on Television) if they makes sense and this has now developed further so on my laptop I have various folders on there on sequences I want to tell. Currently this includes Science Fiction poems (A mystery called Robot Noir) or poems about an imaginary couple I am writing about who visit all kinds of cities and have adventures in them. Both of them motivate me as I want to work out where they end both of these stories end up next.
6. Why do you like writing mysteries?
Just what I am writing really at the moment, Paul and is not a reflection of my first three full length poetry collections. The first book ‘Return to Kemptown’ was a compilation of what I regarded as my best material as of 2010 (I have been performing poetry on a fairly regular basis since 2007). The second and third books ‘The End of Summer’ ‘and ‘The Birth of Spring’ are seasonal books really with each book designed to represent the seasons with poems about Summer and Autumn mixed with longer narrative poems which contain the elements of those seasons also.
I do have a third seasonal book in mind ‘In the Midst of Winter’ which is looking good but I also have two other full length books on the go which are certainly more mystery based. The first one ‘Changing carriages at Birmingham New Street’ which is about my imaginary couple actually made a brief appearance in The Birth of Autumn and I enjoyed reading about them, it kind of made sense to try and write a full length collection covering their time together. Robot Noir, my Science Fiction poetry book is quite different but still carries the same emotional strengths that people like about my poetry but is getting wrote hand in hand next to it covering before, during and after a Robot uprising in Poetry which threatens the existence of mankind itself. Both books here are mysteries as they do not operate like most full length poetry collections, but tell a story like in novels but rather in poetry which pieces stand alone but also work well in a long sequence and I hope will prove emotional satisfying for readers as well as me when they are completed.
7. How do the writers/musicians you read/heard when you were young influence you today?
I had a bit of a unusual taste in music growing up in the early 80s when my father got me into folk music and country and western music, of which if I am honest I haven’t heard in years. When I got into my mid teens in the late 80s, I started listening to some discoveries of my own, some of which are very difficult to listen to nowadays. One band I love listening to even now and saw live twice back at that point were a Scottish band called The Blue Nile who have had a rare ability to convey the ordinariness of life itself which still hits me hard even now over thirty years later and has proved a influence on my writing certainly.
Reading wise, I’ve just re-read a few books by Fred Hoyle which are very pure Science Fiction indeed and I think are difficult to read now (How I read them at 11 or 12 with great ease I have no idea) and I also remember reading a lot of Harry Harrison’s work as the Stainless Steel Rat which I struggle with nowadays also because of the sexism towards women which is pretty bad in the first book or two. I think it depends really, my father got me reading the Western works by American writer Louis L’Amour in my early teens and his later books like Comstack Lode are great novels and while a little preachy are full of what I try to convey in my poems now (as much as any work by Plath and Larkin, both of which I was familiar with in my early 20s and am still now).. I let the characters tell their own stories whether in a few lines or 40 lines
8. Who of today’s writers/musicians/ do you admire the most and why?
Ooh. I am taking my time reading Ocean Vuong’s ‘Night Sky with Exit Wounds’ at the moment. I also recommend Spiderseed by David Hartley, a young writer from Stretford (near where I was born) whose debut book is twenty illustrated flash fictions, all of which has a defo Gorey feel to them. Comic wise, as I am still reading them, I love the work by Ed Brukaber (who is known on the TV front for being the show runner for Season 1 of West World and Too die to this young). Comic wise, his work with Sean Philips is always worth reading, and their current series Criminal which is a series of interlinked stories involving Criminal has magnificient character work
9. What would you say to someone who asked you “How do you become a writer?”
I started as a child as I said before and also studied writing at university, but if I am honest although I learned stuff from starting from so young and also studying it, I learnt going to a writing group certainly helped me the most as it made me listen to people who tried to give me advice.

10. Tell me about writing projects you’re involved in at the moment.
Current writing projects are the following:
1) The Streets were all we could see – my 4th full length poetry book which is a series of mini poems (All under 10 lines each). Book is now complete and will be out before the end of Winter.
2) Buried alive under the Wall – this is my second fantasy book, a sequel to a book released in 2018 called Enemy of the Wall. Currently on the last draft.
Other projects on the go is Europa 4, my 4th book of anti war poetry with my pal Nick Armbrister and I am thinking about what I am can do for NaPoWriMo this year which I think will be 30 poems wrote daily in April called Fragments of David.
Also will be carrying on with my constant podcasting and ambient music.
