Poland is done sending arms to Ukraine, Polish leader says as trade dispute escalates
WARSAW, Poland (AP) — Poland’s prime minister said his country is no longer sending arms to Ukraine, a comment that appeared aimed at pressuring Kyiv and put Poland’s status as a major source of military equipment in doubt as a trade dispute between the neighboring states escalates.
Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said in an interview late on Wednesday that Poland is no longer transferring weapons to Ukraine. He made the comment as his populist party faces pressure from a far-right party in a national election on Oct. 15. The far-right party, Confederation, says Poland is not getting the gratitude it deserves for arming Ukraine and accepting its refugees.

Hi friends and followers who live in the deep south.
Please be weather aware tomorrow (Tuesday, November 29 2022), many sources are predicting a large tornado outbreak tomorrow across multiple states mostly at night.
If you can, the Twitter for NWS tornado still works with alerts turned on, meaning you can set it up to notify you every time there's a warning so you can see warnings several counties west if need be.
Here's a tweet from James Spann, the mann, aka the most respected TV meteorologist in the country. He normally doesn't talk about stuff unless it concerns Alabama or several days out.
And here's Reed Timmer, doctor of meteorology and extreme weather chaser talking about being prepared tomorrow as well.
Knowing him he's gonna chase it.

It took just over three (3) hours in the London rain to get though the PokéPost queue (so typical British Post Office standards).
I mailed the Eevee set to my husband and got a Pikachu set for myself. By the time I’d cleared the queue Eevee had finally come out to play! A good Eevee hug made that wait worthwhile ❤️

Sign a petition to prevent damage to a unique natural area in West Virginia and the surrounding towns! Read on for more information.
Corridor H is a highway system connecting western Virginia to central West Virginia, which has been under construction for decades. A final stretch of the highway is slated to go in over the next few years and the proposed route calls for an elevated highway crossing Blackwater Canyon. This proposed route would 1) disrupt a unique ecological area which is already fragile 2) destroy important historic sites 3) physically separate the towns of Thomas and Davis which are essentially one community and 4) disrupt abandoned mine workings risking surface land collapse and water contamination.
What can be done? There is an alternate route for the highway north of Blackwater Canyon which would be more expensive but would reduce the impacts above. The state of WV is seeking public comment on the project through 10/12/22 and this petition (linked above) will be open until then. The local community, including a group of local business leaders across the political spectrum, is very much in favor of the northern route and environmental groups are advocating for it. Blackwater Canyon is a famous tourist destination, so signatures on the petition from out of state or far away will likely be taken seriously.
Why am I posting this here? I usually like to keep my tumblr separate from IRL stuff, so I was very conflicted about sharing this link. BUT this is an important environmental issue impacting a place I love, with an actionable solution that just needs public support. I know a lot of people started following this blog when I was posting my Good Omens/Appalachia AU, The False and the Fair. The setting of that fic is loosely based on this area of West Virginia. Even if you have never been to the state, if you’ve enjoyed my writing, I hope that it’s given you a sense of how beautiful and unique places like this are, and how important they are to protect.

Free Palestine. Fuck Israel. I'm saying this as someone who used to be Jewish and has Jewish family members. A whole generation of children are gone from this and it's horrible, my heart goes out to everyone in Palestine and Gaza.
