If god is unable to prevent evil, then he is not all-powerful.
If god is not willing to prevent evil, then he is not all-good.
If god is both willing and able to prevent evil, then why does evil exist?
If god created everything then that means he created evil. And if that is the case what does that say about god?

I just think homology obliterates intelligent design purely because structures that serve radically different functions have exactly the same parts in them and yet structures with the same function are composed of totally different parts.
Why do whales have finger bones?? What could they POSSIBLY need them for?? Primates use them to grasp, carnivorans use them for walking and running. In whales they're still there but hidden uselessly inside flippers.
Why are bird wings so different from bat wings if they're both used for flying?? Why are both of these completely different from insect wings??
Why do ALL of these except insects have the same layout of bones?? Humerus, radius + ulna, carpals and metacarpals.

"The moral design of nature is as bungled as its engineering design. What twisted sadist would have invented a parasite that blinds millions of people or a gene that covers babies with excruciating blisters? To adapt a Yiddish expression about God: If an intelligent designer lived on Earth, people would break his windows." -- Steven Pinker
The people who make the claim of "design" don't know anything about how the world actually functions.

my biggest issue with the theory of intelligent design is that there's no way you can speak of intelligent design concerning teeth. like those things meant to get dirty. that's their damn job description! ain't no eating without that. but instead of being, y'know, easy to clean cleaning teeth is the most tedious and annoying thing you can imagine. if sisyphus lived - or more accurately died - in our times, he would probably have been damned to floss his teeth forever and always find just a little bit of plaque left between his teeth! it's like designing a machine whose explicit purpose is working in the muddiest conditions possible but it only works if you meticulously remove the mud from every single cog of the machine by hand every 5 hours. not a soul on earth would call this design intelligent.
on the other hand stupid design or the creator being a dentist, that i can totally get behind

It is, when you think about it, remarkable that a religion should adopt an instrument of torture and execution as its sacred symbol, often worn around the neck. Lenny Bruce rightly quipped that 'If Jesus had been killed twenty years ago, Catholic school children would be wearing little electric chairs around their necks instead of crosses.' But the theology and punishment-theory behind it is even worse. The sin of Adam and Eve is thought to have passed down the male line - transmitted in the semen according to Augustine. What kind of ethical philosophy is it that condemns every child, even before it is born, to inherit the sin of a remote ancestor? Augustine, by the way, who rightly regarded himself as something of a personal authority on sin, was responsible for  coining the phrase 'original sin'. Before him it was known as 'ancestral sin'. Augustine's pronouncements and debates epitomize, for me, the unhealthy preoccupation of early Christian theologians with sin. They could have devoted their pages and their sermons to extolling the sky splashed with stars, or mountains and green forests, seas and dawn choruses. These are occasionally mentioned, but the Christian focus is overwhelmingly on sin sin sin sin sin sin sin. What a nasty little preoccupation to have dominating your life.
