This work by Arsham consists of a series of stacked panels with a walkable tunnel built in. The outside of each panel has a square profile, while the inside is irregularly wavy. From the inside to the outside, however, the interruption between the panels diminish, creating a tapering tunnel. The walkway also creates an axis for the whole installation, guiding the eye to the interior of the work. Furthermore, as the gaps between each panel are evenly spaced, this allows the viewer to stand in front of the doors and feel the natural greying of the colours. The panels are installed in a black reflective pool, creating an 'infinity mirror' around the opening of the tunnel and the pavement, guiding the visitor through an immersive experience. So the whole work is composite.
