Mister solradguy is there a list you're working off of for soltober or is it just freestyle? Trying to conjure inspiration and nothing is coming to mind

I'm just making it up as I go based on how much energy I feel like putting into them each day haha For some of them I'll drag out my customized Sol-proportioned CSP 3D model and wiggle it around until it lands in a pose I like and then go from there. The Vastedge DI Sol one was one of those

Ngl though I usually start running out of idea steam around day 12 and have to start looking things up for inspiration lol I don't really like the Inktober/themed prompt lists though, to be honest. It's already hard coming up with 31 ideas and then limiting it to specific prompts makes it so much harder. Before Soltober '21, I'd tried doing Inktober off prompt lists 3 different times and never made it past like day 5...

Things like TTRPG scenario/encounter generators and writing prompt generators are pretty useful for ideas though, if you don't want to follow a list like me

I'm doing good.

I've got some new psychiatric diagnoses here and medication and even psychotherapy and psychotherapeutic group and it's never been clearer and calmer in my head than now. what a proper diagnosis and medication do!

I've ended my first GE/Endo rotation and this week starts my second GE/Endo rotation so basically nothing changes for me besides that the one more person comes to my rotation and it is a senior resident so life gets more easy and I can finally open some books and learn deeply and not only freestyle rage diagnostics and 5 hours a day in grossing room.

but firstly I'm taking my first vacation from Thursday this week for two weeks. I'll fly to Vienna for one week to finally send my stuff here and move properly. Winter comes and all my clothes and warm blankets and everything is still there. Afterwards my plan is just to stay home one more week and to do nothing. Ofc I'll play videogames and hopefully also paint/draw. This year no inktober for me.

BUT I'm on call this weekend. Tomorrow is also a national holiday and I'm still on call. Yesterday I spent some time grossing and dictating leftover stuff from the week.

It's my second on call weekend. In my first, a couple weeks ago I did some grossing on Saturday (it's usually so, we just call surgery on Saturday in the morning so they send everything from the fridge to our fridge) and then there was a frozen section on Sunday. Some residents never got it in their on call weekends but I guess I'm just lucky :)

It was an incidental finding in salivary gland of one brain d3ad patient and they wanted to explant everything possible, you can't do if there a malignancy. So we got to check if it was malign or not. It wasn't. So approx. 4-5 lives were saved and someone got the best present ever possible.

I think all the time that I should write here more or even post some histology or whatever weird stuff I experience/find at work but I'm still learning to do something extra besides 10+ work hours a day.

I really ought to, but in the scheme of things – will I be able to?  Will people respect that I will need between one and three hours a day just to commit to reward less challenge? Daily Doodle:

Of all the doodles I did today I think I'm the happiest with this one. It has a more interesting pose than any of the others. The character is my OC Amelia Moore, a witch whose magics revolve around fortune.

Nice Thing That Happened: I had the two packages I was expecting come in the mail, very exciting.

Adulty Thing I Did: Laundry, still need to fold it. Also made myself eggs and toast for breakfast this morning.

Social Activity: Going to watch "Mean Girls" with my roommates because it's October 3rd.

Additional Doodles:

Amanda Dean, another OC. I'm nervous to draw her hair freestyle because a part of me still thinks the original way I did her hair the first time I ever drew her back in high school was the best it's ever been and thus I have to fight the urge to dread up a reference picture every time I want to draw her now. Her hair looks fine.

Additional Amelia. This one isn't bad I just like the other one's pose better.

Loraine Mel, immortal apothecary (so she looks a bit like a vampire in terms of complexion but she's also a witch). I know she likes frilly outfits but I'm trying to make her outfits less preppy and more gothic, if that makes sense. I want to try to experiment with more outfits for her.

What is this: Despite what some of my friends thought I'm not doing Inktober. I didn't actually attempt it last year and before that it was hard to keep up with anyways. I am however finally drawing again, and I'm glad to be getting myself back into my hobby. I always kind of want to post my art but can never think of an "excuse" to do so but I also don't actually need an excuse since this is my blog and I can make it be whatever I want, even if that's still kind of terrifying to put myself out there. Anyways my excuse is that this is kind of doubling as me doing a blog journal or something. I'm not planning on keeping the daily notes the same everyday but I am going to try to include a "nice thing that happened" everyday and never a "thing that went bad or I regret" because I fixate on bad stuff too often so this will maybe help me think back on nice stuff more. Ideally this would maybe be a daily thing but it's probably going to be more sporadic but that's okay, this is an experiment for myself after all so no pressure.

Inktober 2022 No. 23: FIREYS . ”Hey, her head don’t come off!” . Or “The Fire Gang” or the “Chilly Downs”, depending on your persuasion. HOT TAKE: this is my least favorite scene in the entire movie. I think the song is tepid, and the puppetry FX are a little unrefined compared to the rest of the film. Plus - this might be the only point where Sarah is threatened with actual bodily harm? Anyway, Fireys. They look cool, at least! . This one was REALLY freestyle. A little reference, but a lot of fill-in. I think it kind of shows in places :( .
