My roll of infrared film came back from the lab! I decided to break out one of the two rolls I have in cold storage on solar eclipse day, and then finished it off at my local greenhouse a week or so later. False-color infrared film is a sadly discontinued specialty film stock that uses a special emulsion to render the near-infrared range as the bright pink you see above.
I'm not sure exactly what caused the overwhelming pinkness of the shadows in these, whether it was light leakage despite my careful loading in darkness or some flaw in my admittedly amateurish storage, but even if they're a little unconventional the colors are still stunning.
