well for ones i know how to play- well i used to know how to play anyways- i played the clarinet in band! n at some point i got an ocarina n tried learning that but never worked on it much. i used to be able to play a couple little tunes on it tho (like the jigglypuff song from the pokemon anime. or part of it at least). someday ill get back to it...
for my fave instruments... id probably say the violin and piano. i really love the sound of them, and i like how much emotion they can evoke!
aesthetic: oh god where do i even begin gkdkfbdkf i have a MILLION aesthetics i love lol. lovecore is probably my biggest one though, but i also love tech/glitchy stuff, gems, mermaid/ocean, general nature/flowers, clown/carnival, christmas, halloween, witchy, punk/goth/scene/emo (together since there can be some overlap between the aesthetics, ik theyre not the same), night/dreamy, space, yandere for a darker twist on lovecore stuff, and much much more. i love anything from pastel n cute, to neon and dynamic, to dark n creepy. i just!! absolutely adore aesthetics!!! its what im all about!

author's notes: im projecting asian kid problems onto hu tao 👍 except not really because i have never faced this problem before teehee. i just wanna write something fun !! also this. is much longer than i expected im sorry that always happens when i write oneshots idk why lmfao

“So (y/n). How about we play some games?”
Your sister almost immediately suggested so the moment you two’s grandfather left the house. It was rare for you two to be home alone and whenever it does happen, Hu Tao always takes her chances to do whatever she can’t do when he’s home. And obviously she drags you into her shenanigans because, of course, she doesn’t want to be caught and grounded alone.
“Sis, we talked about this.”
You could only sigh and pinch the bridge of your nose. Truth be told, you still don’t know why your grandfather bothered buying a gaming console if he’s not going to let you two play it. But you knew best that to question your grandfather is akin to asking a wall; you get no answers but rather, even more questions. But you can’t deny that you did want to play it. But being Hu Tao’s sibling has taught you to become more responsible…more or less.
“Yes we did! What does that have to do with anything though~?”
As much as you love her witty remarks, they’re mostly the ones that land you two in trouble. And you wish you could say you enjoy being in trouble with her - she tries to lighten things up, sure, but that usually makes things worse. So like it or not, you had to learn your lesson from so many of you two’s misadventures. It looks like she hasn’t learned anything though and you’re pretty sure that it’s a choice. Your sister is one of the brightest people you’ve known; it’s just that she tends to get bored easily and so does a lot of stupid stuff just for the thrill.
“Hu Tao.”
“That’s me!”
You sigh again. That tone in her voice indicates that she’s not changing her mind any time soon. You surrender - after all, a little gaming couldn’t hurt, right? Screw whatever ‘video games exposes kids to violence’ stuff your grandfather’s always spewing. Plus, it’s not like you two are gonna be playing anything actually violent-
“C’mon, let’s play some Mortal Kombat 11. I miss killing people.”
Ah.
You don’t remember how the heck you two manage to get a copy of that game considering it’s one of the most, if not the goriest game you two have ever had the pleasure of playing. But you join in anyway because what else are you supposed to do? You ask yourself that as a rhetoric question but you can’t help but feel there’s an actual answer to it. But you shrug it off as still being reluctant to do this.
A few hours pass and you two are still in Mortal Kombat 11, nuking it out without a care in the world. Well, except for one care, which is what if grandpa sees this? But you’re having so much fun, you don’t mind being grounded for life and your sister most likely feels the same. Even then, you have this nagging feeling at the back of your mind that there’s something wrong and that everything’s going a little too smoothly.
“I think… I forgot something.”
“If you forgot then it probably wasn’t important.”
“Yeah, you’re right.”
You casually chat with your sister over it during your gaming break. Now you’re convinced that there’s nothing wrong and that you’re just paranoid for no apparent reason at all. Your irritation increases when your sister claims yet another victory over you. But her joy is fleeting - your attention both snap to the suddenly ringing home phone. You run over to it, not knowing what to expect. You pick the receiver and raise it to your ear…
“Hello? Hello hello?”
“Grandpa?”
Now you really want to know who taught him to use a phone - how did he get the home number? Whose phone is he using anyway? Public phones aren’t a thing anymore and he doesn’t have a phone; he’s always refused to use one because he claimed it too complicated. So the only possibility is-
“Aha, it works! Well, it better work. I didn’t spend thousands just for this smartphone thing to not work.”
Ah.
“Grandpa, what are you talking about? How did you get this number? Where are you?”
“Agh, you ask too many questions, kid! Your sister was the one who gave me the number. And I’m coming home from the mall. So no more questions! But more importantly, have you cooked the rice yet?”
Oh. So that’s what it was. Oh no. You turn to flash Hu Tao a quick glare and she responds with an expression that could only express “oops”. You turn back to stare at the phone in shame. But of course you slightly shifted the blame to Hu Tao for not reminding you in the first place. You couldn’t even think about how your grandpa’s answering your questions earnestly for once.
“Um, of course I have! I cooked the bestest rice only for you, my beloved grandpa, ahahaha…”
You quickly lie and hear him laugh on the other side of the line. Thankfully, it seems he has fallen for your lie. As he laughs, you turn your head again towards your sister’s direction and signal for her to rush to the kitchen. She does a brief saluting pose and runs to the kitchen. Lord knows you can trust only so much of her when she’s in the kitchen. She tends to get a little too creative for your own liking sometimes.
“Good, good! That’s my grandchild! Anyways, I’ll be back in a jiffy so you two just wait for me like the good grandchildren that you are, alright?”
“Okay, grandpa.”
You add a nod although he couldn’t see it. He hums happily and hangs up without saying goodbye. You put the receiver back down and run to the kitchen, hoping that it’s not already entirely on fire. And luckily enough, it isn’t. Because your sister is too busy trying her best to wash the rice properly.
“Ai-yai-yai, how could you forget such an important thing, dearest sibling?”
“Like you remembered in the first place.”
“Let’s not sweat the details, okay? Help me out here.”
“Hah, can’t even wash the rice right. And you call yourself Asian?”
“Oh, shut it, you.”
You two bicker off the next few minutes away as you cook up some rice. Though you two are in a somewhat frenzied predicament, you can’t help but smile at how silly and ridiculous you two are. You laugh and she follows - how contagious. So contagious, you foolishly hope that some of that laughter infects a bit of the rice. Maybe it’ll brighten up your grandfather’s mood even more than it already seemed and let you two off the hook this time around.
But well, even if you two are grounded for life, at least you two cooked the rice before he’s home, right?
“I’m home!”
You two yelp. The rice is barely cooked enough to be edible. And you two forgot to turn off the gaming console earlier. ‘In a jiffy’ was too jiffy for you two’s liking. Before you two can do anything about the sticky situation you’re in, your grandfather waddles into the kitchen. He eyes the two of you and the steaming rice cooker in between you and your sister.
“We, uh…”
Hu Tao attempts to make up an excuse, sheepishly rubbing the back of her neck to hide her shame. You only gulp, awaiting the worst punishment that could ever befall a pair of siblings who were innocently distracted by video games. You wish you could at least predict what’s going to happen to the two of you but the thing is, you two’s grandfather is as predictable as a gambling game. You never know what’s going to happen.
“What’s wrong? You cooked the rice, right?”
He asks and you two only tilt your head simultaneously in confusion. That’s all he has to say? You have your suspicions but you start to have a little bit of hope. Maybe all that laughter really was as contagious as you thought it was.
“Well, yeah but…”
“Oh, you two. Come here.”
He says and yet he is the one to move forward to wrap you two in a group hug. This increases the two of you’s confusion even further. As you expected, as predictable as a game of chance, like a throw of the dice. Mayhaps it is no coincidence that your grandfather is a big fan of board games himself.
“You’re not mad at us?”
Your sister innocently questions him, shooting him her most genuine curious look. You look at him too, wanting to see his reaction as well as hear his answer. He lets go of the two of you. His joyful smile turns menacing in the blink of an eye as he utters his next words, though he fiddles with his brand new phone cheerily.
“‘Course I am! It’s just that I’m more happy than angry. This smartphone thing is more useful than I thought.”
Ah.
“So…are we grounded?”
You dare yourself to ask him. You would ask more questions if you could but you don’t want to risk upgrading your punishment from a simple grounded phase to…who knows what? As far as you’re concerned, your grandpa is as creative with punishments as Hu Tao is with her culinary skills.
“Of course you are! Go to your room!”
You’re disappointed but at least it wasn’t anything beyond that. Even your sister seems to breathe out a sigh of relief. The lack of any heavy punishment gives you courage - and so you will yourself to ask another question.
“Uh, how long are we grounded?”
You ask and your grandfather seems to ponder on that question, which is a rarity. Usually, he’d announce “one week!” without any hesitation. So you were reluctant to ask at first but this time around, asking him something is seeming to bear fruit (finally).
“Hmm…two days.”
He decides and needless to say, both of you siblings’ jaws drop to the ground. He went from one week to two days just like that? Who was this old man and where is your real grandfather? You’d ask but before you could, your sister interrupts first.
“Just two days?”
“What, you want more? I can add more.”
“No thank you, bye grandpa, love you!”
Hu Tao rapidly replies and drags you by the hand to your shared bedroom. She slams the door shut and flops onto your bed like nothing ever happened. You sit beside her and stare at the opposing wall, processing what just happened. You two say nothing; simply side by side, ruminating on today’s happenings, with the occasional sound of fighting game characters screaming and grunting coming from outside your room. Ah. So your grandfather’s the perpetrator all this time.
“We got lucky, huh?”
Hu Tao breaks the silence after a few minutes of gazing intently into your bedroom’s wall, its color faded of old age. You two may be as young as the technology in your little house, but the abode itself is almost ancient as your grandfather. Even then, you never saw it as a flaw; old or not, it is the house you and your beloved sister have spent so much time in by being clowns, forgetting to cook the rice and getting grounded. You look to your sister fondly and sigh, a relieved one this time.
“I guess we did.”

tbh i dont know but i dont think i am. my second name has been passed down to me, though
2. When was the last time you cried?
yesterday, but from joy this time. :)

nope, and dont want any as far as i can think

if i know and trust people a reasonable amount, then yes. :D
5. What sports do you play/have you played?
i played football when i was very small and once almost scored a goal, but then i quit soon after that. ^^ also i did karate for some years as a teenager until i quit that as well. im not the sports type, but i enjoy some swimming and cycling when there is time for that, it just should still be fun and not too exhausting. :)
6. What's the first thing you notice about other people?
that depends on the occasion, i suppose. here on the internet i tend to get a quick grasp of the general character of someone, while out in the wild it is more the outward appearance and maybe the interactions with their environment which i notice first. im not really sure about that all though, as i tend to analyse everthing heavily including other people :D

brown

none really, i started to like what i was studying when i finally left school to study what i like. ^^

now this is a difficult one, but id go with scientific researcher, somewhere in the field of environmental sociology, environmental studies or sth similar. but without all the distressing things about science and academia, id like to be a passionate environmental scientist living out my passion and interests while at the same time helping to make the world better, to put it like that. :)

Tbh i don’t know myself very well but im an Aries and an intp 😊 im an very shy and quiet person, if anyone talks to me i turn red 😭 i hate that so much because then people think i have a crush on them when i don’t, but whatever. I can’t start an conversation and im a very awkward person like.. we would talk but then after that i would be quiet the whole time like “ Yeahh haha..” i cant keep a conversation going. If anyone talks about something im interested in THEN ILL BE SO TALKATIVE “ Wait you play that game too??! Whats your favorite character? Favorite song? What level are you in?” Literally.. but after that i would be so embarrassed and think that im bothering them HAHA. Anyway, IF IM CLOSE TO YOU THOUGH like we’re friends then im a whole new person. Im literally crazy 😭 i become the most loudest person, i could be myself, I love that. we can play any silly games 😊tag? Sure, hide and seek? Sure, wanna play fight? HELL YES, board games? Anything?? Make our own game? Video games? CARRY EACH OTHER? stare at each other? Anything bro just anything we could do together. I hate losing so if i lose i go more crazy and If i win then HAHAH loser i win. My siblings say im the funniest and the craziest and that they love that about me because i can make them smile and laugh whenever they feel down, that makes me happy. Im happy that i can make them smile and laugh HAHA even my best friend said that. Im really bad at comforting people, but i make sure that im listening to them so that they don’t feel that they’re being ignored and feel that i don’t care when i really do care, they’re precious to me. Whenever i feel or see that they’re being left out, i try my best to not make them feel that, i give them my full attention and ask them questions or do jokes. I try to give the same amount attention to my friends, i hate seeing them left out because i understand how it feels and it doesn’t feel good unless they wanna be alone. Whenever im mad i try my best to hold it, but if i cant then i just laugh. If im sad then i just hold it too, think of something funny.
Crap did i say too much?.. AA I DID IM SORRYHAHAA basically im a very quiet shy person if im not close to you but if i am then im loud and energetic. Im a caring person that says a lot of jokes and that holds their madness and sadness 😊 by laughing and thinking of something funny.

- canon: you guys have the cutest little shared playlist together with the most romantic songs in there, he’ll remind you over and over again why he put certain songs in there, “i put that one in because it reminded me of our first date” UGH HES SUCH A ROMANTIC
- you are so funny to him, like it’s almost embarrassing to him that you can make him giggle so easily, like the guys and all of his family could see a significant difference in his smile when he started dating you, you just make him so happy overall and it’s adorable

if i was kusuke which thank god im not but if i was i would make a far better limiter than he did. like god its so impractical. easily removed by accident? easily broken. not reinforced. no DIALS. no BACK UPS OR FAIL-SAFES
kusuo is like a nuclear bomb, you gotta make sure you know exactly how to keep it (saiki) from accidentally disarming itself (broken limiters)
kusuke just seems like he would fuck around just to find out.
but if i were to make it the biggest thing i would add is a dial. specifically one that can control the intensity of the limiters. usually kusuo has an all or nothing when it comes to his powers. if he could control the output of it it might actually give him a way to learn how to control himself better with less and less intensity set on the limiters.
he could baby step his way from learning to throw a ball when his limiter is to the max, then again and again at every level the limiter has.
also i agree w some people saying it should be near his ears. maybe a patch just behind his ear or a weird earring or a device that looks kind of like a hearing aid or a weird tech thing that covers one of his ears

Id like to imagine that through Saiki's habit of playing cheap and uncommon games hes actually got a small collection of hidden gems and I want to imagine if he wanted to use the internet for once he could actually run a blog that he can type out his thoughts on games that nobody knows. He is a pretty fair but strict reviewer and comments on everything from the fluidity of the gameplay to the menu layouts and even the stylization of the graphics.
It backfires when someone actually finds his blog, even if its anonymous, and the word spreads about this guy who knows the best of the unheard games and has a knack to be extremely detailed in reviews.
He becomes a little bit of a niche internet celebrity and people spam his blog or email with suggestions of their own favorite hidden gems to review and some even ask for his opinion on more popular games. His blog becomes a reputable review source where indie developers want his attention to get their game out there.
Suddenly developers reach out to him offering to give him a free early copy to review their games and eventually he starts recording no or little commentary gameplay footage and he gets more and more requests.
He gets sponsored after a while. He makes a modest bit just from his blog and his videos and he wants to be annoyed at the attention but he enjoys the anonymity and people genuinely listening to his opinion.
Anyway i just want to think that kaidou or someone someday brings up saikis blog like oh yeah ive been reading this guy he does great reviews on indie games and saiki just smiles.

To the new players on Splatoon 3!
For any battle type:
Always remember to booyah back! this means at the start of the round when a player on your team presses booyah, say booyah too! it lets old players know youre communicative and pay attention to your teammates. Its friendly. Its polite. Its honestly gonna make the whole game more enjoyable if you can use the little bit of communication there is.
theres no in game chat function so booyah and this way are the best way to let your team know what's up! booyah when your teammate did something cool! its a morale booster
plan your specials around your teammates. is your special better for support or slaying? check to see if there is already a cooler up if u have it, cus the effects do not stack. and in salmon run specials can be what saves the whole team!!
check your map! not only does it show the current ink coverage, it also shows enemy players if they have taken damage even without being marked. you can jump back to spawn if things seem dangerous and you can jump to teammates. keep in mind that teammates might not be in a safe position for you to land in. anyone can see where you will land and can try to jump kill you. knowing the map itself for good jump points and seeing if the teammate is in a well inked area helps.
Ink spawn. Always. Dont think it applies to X mode? It does. Even in anarchy battles (which splat 2 players might still call ranked out of habit) you should ink spawn. Why? multiple reasons! It keeps your base safer than not. helps maneuverability in getting back in. It helps build your special, which can be incredibly useful for a push. generally speaking, an inked base is a happy base. EDIT: I dont mean ink spawn immediately for anarchy battle, the first push is critical! Use the spawn for free specials to push when you're behind! And dont be thorough in anarchy battle either, prioritize the objective over turf inked unless you have a very good reason otherwise. the movement is also more for a path back to spawn than anything. having escape routes is important.
For turf war:
Inking ground takes priority over killing. Yes if they are dead they cant ink but the respawn time is pretty fast, about 5 to 7 seconds. Also, inking builds special. it is the only way you build special. kills do not build your special. Inked ground both gives a tiny amount of damage to the enemy when they step on it, AND gives you more coverage, AND gives you quicker escape options, AND is the deciding factor of winning the game.
Walls do not count towards points. Only ground. Inking walls isnt useless though, but don't think that inking them all will help you win, its more for maneuverability.
Last second bombs can decide a match. If you have a sub to throw and there is roughly one or two seconds left on the clock, throw it no hesitation. after the match time is over, it will still pause for a second to allow all subs and specials that were out at the last second to explode.
Hide in ink. This should be self explanatory. You aren't as visible if you are submerged in ink and you are faster in ink than walking. if you hide while an enemy player is nearby, and they dont think to check whatever puddle youre in, you could get a sneak attack. another point to focus on inking!
For salmon run:
Learn to squid party! its just jumping and changing in and out of squid to inkling (or octopus to octoling) form very fast so u kinda look like a blob. it might be frowned upon to squid party in other modes but this is totally fine and encouraged!
Pay attention to your teammates positions. Dead teammates cannot help more than sit there and hold a single egg. throw a bomb or shoot at them to revive them. they take priority over eggs in most cases.
Use this way liberally. This way points towards where youre looking. Use it to say hey theres a boss here.
LISTEN TO TEAMMATES. if someone says help or this way go to them. its worth it. they know what theyre doing. usually.
Losing on wave 3 doesnt lower pay grade. It sucks to lose but wave 3 sucks slightly less to lose on.

As for personality, I am quite introverted and tend to love just chilling in my room. I do however open up around close friends and family where I can be loud, especially when talking about my interests.
As for hobbies I love digital art. I love digital illustration, making character models/art for game design, web design, graphics, and more. I love playing rpg video games, visual novels, otomes etc. I also love reading fantasy, classical literature, myths and folklore. As much as i enjoy spending time in my room with my hobbies, one of my favorite things to do is travel the world. I also love to bellydance to Arabic and Bollywood music.

gacha game anon - you have my full encouragement on going back to fgo! for some of the faults with it, the writing in Camelot (chapter 6) and onwards is amazing, and from what I know it just keeps getting better from then on. im on anastasia at the moment and it hasn't dipped in quality for me so far! it's a bit of a slog until it gets good but when it gets good it gets REALLY good. and good luck on your protoarthur rolls! i don't remember when he's on gacha but if you've got $15 to spare the guaranteed SSR is going on right now and im 80% sure he's on one of the banners that's up right now.
i haven't played granblue yet but with that endorsement i want to check it out! im always on the lookout for new gacha games, I started nikke myself recently but nothing else has much caught my eye. i completely agree though localization being trash is the number one reason I usually quit on games I think I otherwise would have loved. but I've generally heard great things about granblue and would love to try it out. if you like I will keep you updated on that!
and totally take your time on mahoyaku, when you get to it I recommend watching a video of the game, or playing it alongside if you can get your hands on it as it's jp only at the moment. i went in with no visuals and it took me a lot longer to put names to faces and stop getting everyone confused with each other haha.
enstars is a very good game but the lack of access to translations and the subpar level of quality for the English version has been really hurting it. the rhythm aspect is fun, actually, but my heart will always be with enstars basic. which has no rhythm elements, but mirrors the original idea for the game, which was an idol game where people who can't play rhythm games could still participate. unfortunately they didn't even try to give that version an english release, probably because they would have to translate a good five years worth of event stories from the previous game that are hosted on that version. which is really unfortunate because id love to read the official translations for those. and thank you for that image lol im definitely going to be saving that for future use!
I didn't mind the first few arcs in FGO, but I've read a lot of manga in my time including a lot of bad shounen and romcoms so my pain tolerance is pretty high.
My brain is just like oh man time to read more fgo *burns all my AP on farming mats* . I will probably make a liveblog tag at some pt though I probably need a theme so I can just put a page up with different threads im running through since I use my pinned for my videos rn
Granblue is honestly very dear to my heart but the like "end game" cycle is very unappealing bc its super grindy - that said the story stuff [the main attraction imo] is not power-gated so you're not forced to engage with the worst aspects of the game (i.e. multiplayer/ranking called "unite and fight" or guild wars, kind of similar to how idol game card farming works). The event stories & main story are for everyone, so that's fun :' ). Also they do fun character themes, which I love - I think most people got hooked once they did What Makes The Sky Blue Parts 1-3 (it's like an epic about fighting for the fate of the world but in a more direct sense than most of the early conflicts in the story) which you can do in the event archive nowadays once you pass a certain chapter I believe. The art style might seem somewhat familiar bc the art director used to work for Square Enix
Granblue is kind of funny because just, one day they decided "yeah we will support eng" but the login stuff & lack of a localised app. It's just a web-game so they never released it in other regions, it just has full english language support - thankfully it's just like a g-mail signup process not as annoying as like doing lottery for an account like kancolle was

Wait a minute... Undyne doesn’t believe Kris when they try to tell her about the Dark World and laughs in their face so hard that she breaks her desk. So they do something to lure the police over to their house by slashing the tires, then make a Dark World themself after learning from Queen that it might be possible for any Lightner to do so. And they did it before the police get there so that they’ll stumble into it.
I always found the gap of time between Toriel calling the police and her falling asleep before they get there odd as it’s a little town so it shouldn’t take that long, and it doesn’t seem as if they came before she fell asleep. Could be busy trying to recatch all those dogs. Maybe Kris is aware that Toriel falls asleep quickly while reading, they even opened the door so that the police could come in. One hole in this idea is, how would they know that Susie would pass out fast too? Might not have been part of the plan but an opportunity they took.
Not sure why they turned on the TV to static, possibly to give the new Dark World something to latch onto as regular living room furniture might not be enough. (Now that I’m thinking about it, all the items that have turned into characters so far are things that children and people touch and interact with using their imagination, like toys, computers, and TVs.)
Is this all to show Undyne and others that something dangerous is happening so they’ll be believed? I’m like, 90% sure that Kris is not The Knight and their intentions aren’t bad.

I was thinking about the concepts of a god in video games and my favourite depiction of it is in Okami.
Because... nobody really knows that you play as the god, in fact, it is a pretty huge plot point that everybody stopped believing in the gods. And then you go around with Amaterasu and help out people... but you don't do it with a big fanfare, you just go there and use a little magic that just looks like it was a coincidence.
And then people are like "What just happened?!" and often they talk to Ammy because she is there, but for them, she is just the cute little doggy, but then they give praise because their problem got solved and it all gets to Ammy.
And it is like this in the whole game. And not only that, the people react to your shenanigans. If you let a tree bloom in front of them, they have a surprised animation and a question mark over their head and then go back to what they were doing, probably thinking "Well, that was strange."
And you keep doing stuff that just isn't logic over the course of the game and then... in the end... they finally believe in Ammy, but only after Issun told them about her.
I just... really love the idea that a god is someone who just is around and helps without expecting anything in return and just taking the praise of people who now not have a problem anymore.
And the fact that they animated people reacting to random shenanigans and not only people, also every single animal.
I just love Okami so much.

You know, one thing that makes the Soulsborne games so great is the fact that your character is an absolute nobody.
You are not supposed to be some godlike being with powers beyond measure or the one who is fated to do great things.
Sure, Dark Souls 1 has the Chosen Undead, but it becomes revealed quickly that the Chosen One trope is a farce and so it gets completely subverted.
In Dark Souls 2 you are simply the Bearer of the Curse, just one of many who suffer from the curse.
In Dark Souls 3 you get told straight up that you were the last they could ask, because you are the loser of the losers.
In Bloodborne we play as some unlucky random person who got wrapped up in Yharnam's affair.
In Demon's Souls our Slayer straight up gets enslaved to the Nexus out of sheer desperation of the Monumental.
And in Sekiro we play as a single Shinobi, who can't take on a whole army himself. So he makes defense to his greatest offense and uses stealth and dirty tricks.
Which leaves the Tarnished, the one who is played the most straight. Elden Ring has this amazing opening movie and we get to see the six Tarnished who will probably be the main bosses of the game and...
...one another...
Our player character.
Here is the thing. It was never meant that our character should win. In fact, in Soulsborne all odds are AGAINST our character. It is the fact that DESPITE everything they win, that is the theme of these games.
Our character has only one thing going for them...
They can't die.
And therefore, only giving up is when they lost. It's a theme of overcoming, a theme of persevering, a theme of fighting a battle that should be unwinable, but isn't. You just have to try it again and again.
And that is what I love about these games.

playing elden ring after never playing a souls game but having Known the souls reputation is just me playing with almost 40 hours in and just, avoids area cause of Big enemy, over levels/prepares for bosses, shoots from far away, magics everything, exploring most of limgrave and into liurnia and caelid before getting the first rune.
anyway im trying my best to be normal about this game but I love lore that's scattered around and having to piece shit together and buying bits of info from random merchants and talking to people and just AHHHH its hard to be normal with this

Does anyone remember those 'Danganronpa but the wheel decides their fate' videos
I decided to do one of those for Danganronpa 2. I ended up getting Hiyoko as the protagonist, so it's already starting wild. Then I got Mikan as an antagonist. So now I have this dumpster fire rivalry. Then in chapter 4 the support died and I rolled mikan as support. I could have rerolled but at this point im like 'This game will be so fucking wild.' Dont worry they both survived.

“Your going down Parker.”
“Nah man, Im gonna—“
Peter was cut off but the vibration of his controller as you killed his video game character. Taking off your head set and setting down your controller with a calm, soft smirk spread across your face as your side of the TV had ‘winner’ written across.
“No-no! That’s not fair dude! You cheated,” Peter yelled towards you as you walked into the kitchen to grab a slice of pizza. Reaching into the fridge to get a soda, you felt your back being pressed against Peter’s toned chest as he grabbed the soda you had in your hand.
Opening it and taking a sip he chuckle at the look on your face as you turned around to face him. All he did was walk away, back towards the couch, falling back on to it as he picked up his head set.
The look that made the curly headed boy laugh was still on your face as you watched him. To him, you looked annoyed yet humored by him; but really, you couldn’t help this feeling you felt when you felt him against you. Redness began to creep up your neck but quickly faded as you shook the feeling he gave you.
He’s you best friend idiot. You can feel this way for him if all people.
“You coming?” Peter question, starting a new game. You rolled your eyes to make it seem as if you weren’t flustered but the boy a few feet away from you.
“Yea man. Ready to get your ass kicked agin?” You joked as you sat next to him.
“Haha- not funny.” He said with a straight face and a fake laugh that made you giggle as you shoved his shoulder with yours.
The whole night as you a peter played video games back to back, you couldn’t help but think about the feeling of his muscular chest against you. Around 1:20 AM, you and Peter had started to get tired. The boy next to you turned off the gaming console, slowly turning towards you.
“I got the couch, you got the bed.” He said, sleep lacing his voice. You wanted to protest, saying that you could both have the bed; but something stopped you and you just nodded your head, telling him good night as you walked to his bed room. His aunt, May, wasn’t home but made it very clear that she had an eye on both of you so you knew that Peter didn’t want to his aunt May to see you to in the bed together. Even if the two of you were just sleeping.
Laying in bed, Peter’s bed, you stared at the sealing not being able to fall asleep.
The smell of room sent your mind spiraling. Rolling over onto your side, you pushed your arm underneath his pillow as you inhaled his the sent. Peter was the only thing on your mind. The way he smiled, his chocolate hair and honey brown eyes, the light freckles across his nose that you could only see if you were up close to his face. His laugh made your heart skip beats.
“3:57 AM,” you read the clock sign with a sigh. You knew you should go to sleep; so you rolled once again, getting into a more comfortable position. Your eyes getting heavy as you drifted into sleep.

A warm arm draped around your waist, fingers slowly sliding up and down your bare stomach from the shirt that lifted in your sleep.
You smiled softly at the contact, not thinking to check who it was. But the feeling a bare, muscular chest on your back made your eyes fling open.
Slowly, you turned your head to see who was behind you, even though you knew it was—
“Peter?”
“Mhmm,” he hummed back in response, not opening his eyes. You couldn’t shack the feeling of the chill that ran up your spine, and the goosebumps that formed on your body.
“Wha- uh.. what are you doing?” You questioned in a hushed voice.
“Hhmm? Oh sorry. The couch got uncomfortable. I didn’t think you’d mind though.” He said while opening his sleepy looking eyes.
“Oh no-I don’t mind.”
Peter removed his arm, turning with his back turned towards you. You almost whimpered at the feeling of his arm not being around your waist anymore.
Stop it [y/n]. This is Peter we’re talking about here. But why would he put his arm around me and not expect me to feel some way about it?
The thoughts ran through your head fast, the last on lingering for a while.
You and Peter were the best of friends. If he needed someone, you were there and vise versa. But you weren’t really that girly. So Peter didn’t think of you in ‘that type of way’. You didn’t think of him that way either. The two of you always called each other ‘bro’, ‘dude’, or ‘man’; but you still had that feeling of tingles and warmth—
Your thoughts were interrupted by a loud, tired groan from Peter. The sound going straight to your core. Quickly, you got up and went into his bathroom— making sure to not make a lot of noise as you went, Incase May was home.
Looking in the bathroom mirror you stared at your self in question. You were a tom-boy. You were wearing a pair of rolled up basket ball shorts of Peter’s and one of his very large white Tee’s. You shrugged at your reflection,
“If I wanted to look all girly and ‘pretty’ I could be the hottest girl he would know.”
“Who’s he?”
You jumped at the sound of Peter’s raspy voice behind you. He only had on sweats and no shirt. All you could think was
Damn
“No one, just.. speaking hypothetically.”
“Your wired,” he chuckled as you grabbed a towel from the bathroom closet, mumbling something along the lines of, ‘I’m just gonna go shower in Mays bathroom’. You just nodded, going to take a shower of your own in his bathroom.
After your shower, you went into the kitchen where May stood, making coffee for the three of you. Peter sat on the couch flipping through channels.
“Hey honey!”
“Morning May,” you said as you say in one of the chairs at the dining table.
“Are you going to Florida with Peter, Ned and Mj?” She questioned, you nodded in response. The three of you had been planning this for a while now so you were beyond excited to spend time with you best friends.
You stood for the set you just took, walking over to Peter. He was wearing his usual jeans and flannel but this time had a baseball cap on. As you slumped beside you grabbed the hat and put it on you backwards. Peter chuckled at your childish act, glancing at you from the corner of his eye.
The three of you sat in silence till May was done with the coffee. She brought it over to you and Peter, handing you the mugs. You thanked her as she walked away.
Peter’s and your phone got a text notification— the two of you checking it at the same time. It was a group chat with you, Peter, MJ, and Ned for the trip to Universal Studios.
Ned: heyyyy.. so Liz and Flash are also coming to Disney with us.
You and Peter looked at each other at the sight of what Ned texted. You watched as Peter texted back— his cheeks a blushed red color. You have known Peter long enough to know when he’s turning red from anger. This wasn’t anger. He was… blushing?
Peter: Liz is coming?!
You face fell at the text. Looking down at your phone, you glanced up at young guy next to you; but quickly looked away before he saw you.
Mj: yea Ned! Wtf are they coming for???
Ned: well I was talking about it to Betty and they over heard and kinda invited their selves… srry:(
Y/n: I’m just gonna ignore those bitches and go to Hogwarts like I planned.
Peter looked at, “[y/n], you don’t like Liz?” He questioned.
You shocked your head no, not caring enough to look him in the face.
“How dude? She’s so hot,” he said with a smirk. Your heart sank at the words.
What the hell are you acting like this for [y/n]?
Peter continued to text in the group chat. You silenced your phone— not wanted to deal with this right now.
You had never became jealous of anyone. Confusion over took you as you scrambled your mind for why you were jealous of Peter and Liz. You didn’t like Peter at all. Did you?
Did you like Peter Parker? The thought lingered for a while.
No. No I can’t like him and I won’t. It’s just wrong.
Those words that you promised yourself you would keep was the biggest lie you had told yourself. Peter Parker was like a drug—
How could you not get addicted?

Some Miscellaneous post-Predacons Rising head canons

Optimus doesn't do the thing. He is fine and he is dad to ALL
They don't reinstate functionalism and the Vehicons are treated like people :)
RiD15 doesn't happen. I don't know what you're talking about. It never existed.
Autobot Knockout has some adjustment issues (aka he teases Ratchet to much) but eventually fits in pretty well. I'd like to think he's the FIRST one to be like "Okay now that we have Cybertron at a base level of stable; time to make a bar/club"
Uhm its actually not too hard to space bridge to earth so the bots defo visit the kids sometimes and bring them weird space shit (after checking it for radiation and toxins ofc)
Additionally, the bots have more free time so they get holoforms and surprise the kids with them. Bulkhead and Miko can finally properly go to metal concerts together. Raf and Bumblebee can play video games and go to theme parks. I honestly am not sure what Jack and Arcee would do; but you KNOW Jack and Smokescreen are going to raise hell.
Ratchet gets a vacation for like a solid month. Like he's still on Earth and stuff but maybe he just gets to chill for abit??? Especially after fixing up Ultra Magnus. Maybe Knockout can take over minor medical emergencies for a minute and let the old man take a break (with Optimus also maybe)
I feel like the way it ended; we're too far gone for Autobot Starscream with the way the show went but I WANT IT SO BAD!!!
Optimus is dad to all (again)
Can we have Breakdown back please? They bring back dead bots all the time. Please I want him back.
I'd like to see some of the IDW or other verse Characters come in.
Bring in Hot Rod- have an arch on him becoming Rodimus Prime (instead of almost Smokescreen???). Also prime Bumblebee would be fun but not yet- he is baby
Bring in First Aid: sweet baby boy. And they need more medics.
Bring in Blurr: start up racing on Cybertron with the quickly accumulating pile of speedsters.
Bring in TFA Prowl (bc I love him)
Bring in Whirl and watch the world burn (in the best way possible)
Kill Sentiel Prime on sight. Like pull a Cliffjumper on his ass and just nerf that man 2 minutes after his intro.
Since Cybertron is cool again, maybe have Rung show up. (Idk anything much about Rung but he's a therapist and also maybe god? It seems like they need both robot-jesus and therapy after the war.)
I could go on but Im sleepy

(Just one last note - there is one scene with a little spicy quip but it doesn’t get in any way explicit :))
“I’m home!” Finn called as he came through the door to their apartment, duffle bag falling off his shoulder and crashing into the door.
“Wow.” Logan commented, coming over to help him. “Home for less than a minute and you’re already trying to wreck the place.”
“Oh hush.” Finn said, dropping his bags and pulling Logan in by the waist. “Hello to you too.”
Logan grinned and went soft, leaning into Finn’s kiss. “How was Alex?”
They moved away from the door to the couch, Logan setting Finn’s bag aside to be dealt with later.
“Good, Kase and Nat are going out to see him in a few days so he was all excited.”
Logan laughed, kicking off his shoes to curl his feet under him. “Now that I get.”
Finn smiled and glanced around. “Where’s Leo?”
“He just had to pop out to the shop. We’re out of milk. He should be back soon though.”
Finn nodded, looking down at his hands, fiddling with his fingernails. “Hey Lo?”
“Yeah?”
“I was thinking about… well what if… So like, you know Cap and Loops, right?”
Logan raised an eyebrow. “Our teammates? Yeah I think I’m vaguely familiar with them.”
Finn huffed, rolling his eyes. “Wow sassy. You know that’s not what I meant.”
Logan tilted his head to the side in acquiescence, letting Finn continue.
“I want to be like them.” Finn said quickly. “Can we be like them?”
He watched Logan frown for a moment, trying to figure out the difference between Remus and Cap and them. “Wait,” He murmured, eyes meeting Finn’s. “Do you mean?”
Finn nodded. “Yeah. I think maybe we’re ready?”
Logan opened his mouth to respond, but was interrupted by Leo coming in.
“Hey Lo!” He said, without even looking around yet. “I got milk and that bread you like. Did Finn message you yet, he definitely should have landed by now.”
Leo reached the counter, putting the milk in the fridge before turning around and finally noticing the two boys in the room.
“I think his flight landed.” Logan said dryly, watching Leo take in Finn’s presence.
“Hi baby.” Finn said, with a smile, truly grinning when Leo left the shopping bag half-empty and came over to kiss him hello instead.
“Hi.” Leo said, slipping into the gap between his two boys. “I missed you.”
Finn heard himself make a pleased noise as he leaned in to kiss Leo again. “Missed you too.”
“So,” Leo said as he pulled away, pulling Logan’s feet onto his lap. “What’re we talking about?”
Finn met Logan’s green eyes, pausing for a moment. “Um, I uh…”
Logan kicked his foot forward to nudge it against Finn’s thigh. “I got it Harzy.” He then turned to Leo. “We were thinking, maybe it’s time for us to come out? It’d be nice I think, not having to hide.”
Finn watched Leo carefully as the younger boy blinked in surprise before a small smile took over his face.
“Yeah,” He breathed, looking between Logan and Finn. “Yeah that would be nice.” He bit his lip, looking smug and mischievous and Finn thought he might be falling in love all over again. “But I think we should have some fun first.”

Logan stumbled off the bus wearily - that four hour bus ride had just seemed to go on forever. Reporters stood outside the door to the hotel, despite the cold and the late hour but Logan leaned into Leo’s side anyways, Leo’s arm around his shoulder, Logan’s hand beneath his jacket. Photographers went wild, cameras shuttering quickly and Logan hid his smile in Leo’s jacket. This was going to be a whole lot of fun.

Leo looked up as Marlene entered the locker room, glancing around to see who might be ready and available for an interview. Leo caught her eye and waved her over.
“Hey Leo, how about a quick video for social media? I won’t keep you longer than five minutes.”
Leo smiled, he didn’t mind, this was all a part of their plan, the team and the rest of the staff had been made somewhat aware. Plus, he liked Marlene so he never had a problem with the interviews. “Sure.”
“Okay great!” She gave him a thumbs up as she started recording. “So, just last night, pictures of you and Logan Tremblay were released as you got off the bus - have you anything to say about them?”
Leo nodded, grinning. “Don’t forget James photobombing in the background. I think he was going for a ‘bunny ears’ effect but it ended up looking like he was doing it to Kasey instead. I think I need to get a copy framed.”
Marlene laughed, moving on. “So you and Logan are close then?”
Leo looked around the room comically. “What? You mean right now? Cause He’s in the PT room so a lot of the guys are closer.”
Marlene bit her lip, her eyes sparkling. “How do you feel about this game then?”
Leo sat back, finally going to answer a question honestly. “I’m feeling good. We’ve had a great start this season and I’m pretty confident.”
Marlene gave him another thumbs up and headed off to go chat to some of the other guys. A few stalls over, Finn met Leo’s eyes and blew him a kiss.

“The media seems to have calmed down a bit.” Logan commented as they all sat at home watching a movie. “Think it’s time for our next one?”
“Ooh, yes!” Finn enthused. “I call being in this one.”
Logan laughed and pulled out of the way so he could take a picture of Finn kissing Leo’s cheek, Leo’s face all scrunched up in a smile.
“There you go, post it.”
Finn grinned, going to Instagram and putting up the picture with the caption ‘Days like this’ before tagging Leo for good measure.
“That should entertain them for a couple of days.” He said, satisfied as he tossed his phone to another chair and leaned back into Logan’s warmth, kissing the spot just below his ear.
“You and me next baby,”

Leo Knut and Finn O’Hara?
More than one couple in the Lion’s Den?
Knut cheating on Tremblay?
Logan laughed as he scrolled through the headlines and posts from fan accounts, taking screenshots of some of the art of them that had already begun to bubble up. Thomas was on the other side of him, watching a video of a fan analysing the teams interactions, trying to figure out who was actually in a relationship, laughing every few minutes.
“Knutty,” Logan called, summoning Leo. “Look at this one.”
Leo took his phone and read the caption out loud. “Knut’s betrayal making Tremblay tremble?” He looked up and met Logan’s eyes, his face blank. “I don’t know whether to laugh or cry.”
“I do!” Finn interrupted, coming up behind Logan and wrapping his arms around his boyfriend’s waist. “Okay Lo, you hold up the article, now someone take our picture please!”
Logan ginned and relaxed into Finn as James snapped them together before posting it to his own account. ‘Doesn’t seem to be trembling to me.”

“I’m gonna go get some coffee, do you guys wanna come?” Leo said, the three of them still lying in bed. Finn shook his head, still mostly asleep, but Logan perked up.
“From the café down the street?”
Leo nodded, laughing when Logan was up like a shot, pulling on his clothes.
“We’ll bring you back some, okay sweetheart?” Leo said as he leaned over the bed once more to kiss Finn goodbye. Finn just nodded and burrowed deeper into the duvet.
“Love you.” He mumbled and the two boys left him to his dreams, slipping out of the room quietly.
They walked down the street, hand in hand, going mostly unnoticed by the public. It was still early and a Sunday, so there weren’t too many people up and about, but even those that were paid them very little attention. It was easy to forget, in moments like this, that they had entire fan pages dedicated to them and many days they weren’t even recognised on the street.
They got their coffee and drank it there, holding hands over the table outside the front door, watching the people passing by and chatting idly. Leo thought he spotted someone taking a not-so-discreet picture of them, but they didn’t care. Logan went inside to grab Finn’s cup to go and Leo lounged in the sunshine for a moment, breathing in the cool, sharp air.
He opened his eyes to find Logan standing over him, looking down amusedly. “D’accord, mon choupinet?"
Leo smiled and stood up, stretching lazily. “Oui.”
They came back home to Finn still in bed, and joined him under the covers while he sipped his coffee.
“Oh, look we’re back in the headlines.” Leo commented as he angled his phone for them both to see. A photo of Leo and Logan from just a half hour ago stared back at them, Logan laughing at something Leo had said.
“That’s such a cute picture,” Finn noted, putting on his glasses to take a closer look. “You should save that.”
Knut and Tremblay reunited? No news yet on how O’Hara is taking this latest blow.
“O’Hara would be doing fantastic if he had another kind of blow.” Finn grumbled, then blushed when he realised he had spoken out loud. “I mean-”
“Oh, we know what you meant.” Logan said, taking the nearly empty coffee cup from Finn and setting it on the nightstand as Leo eased Finn back, slipping under the covers as Logan captured his lips. “And that can be arranged.”

“So when do you guys think you’ll let them know what’s actually happening?” Remus asked Leo as he helped the blond boy with his stretching.
Leo bit his lip as he thought. “I don't know? Soon maybe though, because this is fun and all but I’m tired of being analysed all the time now. At least if we tell them the truth, they’ll be chasing after us for a couple of weeks but then it’ll all settle down and be nice and quiet again, you know?”
Remus nodded, smirking when Leo took a sharp intake of breath as he pushed his legs a little further apart. “Yeah for sure. It’ll be pure chaos for a bit, but then they’ll quickly move onto the next big thing, I promise.”
Leo nodded, a little lost in thought. “Yeah, I’m ready to have a bit of privacy again. I think I’ll say it to the boys tonight.”
Remus nodded and pushed Leo a little further, laughing when Leo cursed under his breath.
“Fuck, if I’m alive after all this that is.”

“Alright, we’re doing this so?” Logan confirmed, making sure everyone was in agreement.
“Yup.” Leo said, popping the ‘p’.
“It’s time.” Finn confirmed as they all pulled up the same picture they had chosen to post - a photo of the three of them taken at a party at Dumo’s. Logan sitting in Leo’s lap, head tilted up as he kissed Finn who was handing them their drinks.
“Captions ready?” Finn asked and the other two nodded. “Okay. Three,”
“Two,” Leo said.
“One.” Logan breathed and they all clicked ‘post’ at the same time.
The next day, all the headlines were their Instagram captions-
Leo and Logan.
Finn and Leo.
Logan and Finn.
(Three’s not a crowd).
