IMPORTANT: TUMBLR & FANFICTION

Alright kids, listen up because @staff have pulled off a corker of a hot mess and have decided to add "Community Labels". I guess they've decided we can't be trusted to add our own warnings and people can't make sensible choices with what they engage with.

But why does it matter to me?

Tumblr have made labels AN OPT IN SITUATION which means every single blog here is automatically set to hide any triggering content

If you want to continue to be able to access and read fanfiction PLEASE go into your settings and click "show" on at least the "Mature" and "Sexual Themes" labels!!

ALSO IOS USERS: there's an extra fun "Hide additional content" bit just to really try and block us from any hopes of success. Make sure you opt out of that too otherwise I think content will be blocked on the mobile app!

Attached to this post are screenshots from my settings so you guys know what to look for. I could only find it on my desktop settings and not on the mobile app (for now at least)

[I feel like I should add I don't want to sound like I'm pressuring anyone... if you don't want to see certain content obviously keep it hidden and protect yourselves BUT this post is mainly targeted at the horny little gremlins I write for who will be suddenly deeply confused when their smut supply is cut off]

Okay before we get into this one: I actually don't read many fics for the other drivers (aka those who are not Carlos Sainz) and because I read Maxiel on AO3 I've barely read ANY Daniel x Reader/OC works so this list is BY NO MEANS exhaustive and I would recommend checking out @sgkophie who has just done a bunch of excellent recommendations for more detail

Anyway

SEB:

005 by @daniel-ricciardhoe OH. MY. GOD. This is hands down the BEST smutty one-shot I've ever read. It has everything including Seb and a James Bond party. It's fun and sexy and perfectly in character

Paddle to the Metal by @daniel-ricciardhoe this one is... HOT. A little bit different and featuring our favourite flirty, competitive Seb and a game of table tennis

Not a single fic rec because there are far too many to choose from but if you like Seb just do yourself a favour and follow @kates-dirty-sister for the absolute motherload of fantastically written Seb fics

Rekindle by @enchantestuff another smutty one... this time featuring Nightclub!Seb and when I say I was sweating at the end of it hhooo BOY

DANNY RIC

I've said it before but Champagne Problems by @tiredbuthappy is a must. I will admit I read it because of Carlos and not Danny, but this was THE fic that made me go "Oh wait I love Daniel too"

Swimming Lessons (but also literally everything by @harley-sunday) is so fun and lighthearted and the flirting in it is top tier

Bucking Bronko by @daniel-ricciardhoe (im such a fangirl for you haha) an astounding smut set during an Austin race weekend

Mile High by @enchantestuff is also a chef's kiss horny masterpiece which I never knew I needed

InternetGremlin-Writes Christmas Special: The Twelve Drivers of Christmas

And here we are, I've been cooking up this for a while, and I hope you guys are as excited as I am about it! I'm announcing this today to give everyone something to look forward to now we are officially in the F1 winter break

So, the basic premise: over the course of December I'm going to be releasing twelve one-shots, each centring around a different driver and each with a Christmas scenario worthy of a 90-minute Hallmark movie which have been lovingly devised by myself and @loverboysainz-interacts

Couple of things to note before you get to see the fun bit:

This will take up quite a bit of time so my current ongoing fics (see Flat Spin and Obvious) will be put on hold until January

If you don't see your fave on the initial 12 don't panic! Once all these fics are out my ask box will be opening for the remainder of the month to take on holiday requests from you guys (and I might also do a few AUs)

Each of these fics will be one part and comply with the "Everyone" Community Label. Where it works and makes sense I'll be adding part twos for holiday smut which will have a "Mature" Community Label. Something for everyone!

08/12 ESTEBAN OCON: You're in charge of filming the 2022 season Secret Santa video. You have a crush on Esteban. Esteban has a crush on you. Everyone knows, including his Secret Santa who might just be the push you both needed to do something about it

10/12 CHARLES LECLERC: Being dragged on a skiing holiday to forget your break-up maybe wasn't your friends' greatest idea, but an equally horrible skier offering to teach you French might make the experience a little more bearable

12/12 SIR LEWIS HAMILTON: Christmas shopping is one of your favourite holiday activities, even with a seven-year-old on a mission to make a Christmas miracle

14/12 SEBASTIAN VETTEL: Organic Christmas trees are hard to come by, and finding the perfect one is even more difficult. You still didn't expect to be squabbling with a fully grown man over the one you'd spent hours painstakingly choosing

16/12 LANDO NORRIS: How often do you get a snow day in Surrey? Often enough that every adult in the building turns into an over-excited child

18/12 MICK SCHUMACHER: The Christmas party was not the place you'd expect to run into the village's child prodigy and your one that got away

20/12 DANIEL RICCIARDO: You're a baker hired for the McLaren Christmas challenge video to oversee decorating gingerbread houses and cookies, what could go wrong?

22/12 MAX VERSTAPPEN: It would be typical that your first year invited to the FIA's Christmas Gala and you end up with your ex-boyfriend on your table

24/12 CARLOS SAINZ JR: You're organising the team's end-of-season-slash-Christmas party and Carlos is only too keen to help you set up

@harley-sunday August Rush is INSANE, I can't tell you how many times I've read it and their interpretation of Carlos is *chefs kiss* squared (you're also likely to spot a lot of the inspo for Flat Spin there too) AND their fics for other drivers are just... incredible

@tiredbuthappy also has one of my fave fics Champagne Problems which is a really fun love triangle between Carlos, Danny and reader and she is SPICY

Keeping with the spicy theme, literally everything by @luvth0t but oh my god Mirror Mirror is a whole other level

I don't read toooo much about other drivers but if you're a seb girlie I would *casually* recommend you check out @kates-dirty-sister because damn it leaves me speechless AND breathless

Hello anon!

New Flat Spin chapter is about 2000 words in and very much actively in the works!

I had to take a little break over the last few weeks (tldr: moving house, graduation, decorating, visiting the bf etc) but I have been very much in Flat Spin brain and know pretty much what's happening till the end of the story now

Pre-Announcement Announcement!

Hello gremlins <3

This is just a quick little check-in/hello moment and to go over a couple of things so stick around for a few mins

Firstly, how are we doing? Are we all okay? I know I've taken a bit of a break recently just to allow myself to step back and focus on a couple of things that's been going on in my real life but now it's the end of the season and I'm ready to fill the void again! I hope you're all doing okay and taking care of yourselves <3

Secondly, as we are coming to the end of the 2022 season I know we are going to be losing a few faces we love. I want to make it clear that on this blog I will still be writing about and accepting requests for SEB, MICK and DANNY. They may be leaving the grid but they are NOT leaving my heart!

Thirdly, and most importantly, there is a BIG, BIG announcement coming to this blog after the race on Sunday, so make sure you all remember to check back in or turn post notifications on for that because I'm so excited to share it with you!

BESTIE IM NOT DEAD I JUST WORK 40+ HOURS A WEEK NOW 😭

And I went on holiday because this bitch hasn't left her country in 7 years and it was LONG overdue

I wanna write but I'm currently half asleep by the time I finish work + have a lot of additional reading and stuff to do to make sure I stay on top of things + complete my mandatory first year portfolio thingy + trying to move out of my parents house and in with a BOY + making time to spend time with said boy + trying to read books and go outside and do vaguely human with hobby things as well

I'm sorry I don't mean to keep scaring you guys by vanishing and my drafts are so full of chapters and ideas and it's breaking my heart seeing them sitting there gathering because I'm just too tired atm

#im at the 3 month mark and my stamina and mental energy is getting better #so im hoping by spring i will be able to get back to doing more hobbies and being a person outside of work again #iggytalks #iggy misses the concept of free time #honestly guys im so sorry and i so desperately want to write but i just have no time or energy rn #something had to give even if its just temporary:(
