i have never touched Supernatural in my life (no real or good reason why)
I feel the need to preface with this, because i was tired and stressed tonight and doomscrolling youtube shorts and I'm about to go on a fucking rabbit hole wiki dive because in at least 1 episode Dean falls into the "reluctantly became a vampire" pit and i'm dying squirtle

U want to talk a bit about your project? If so here's a free ask for you to do that
oh! Sure. I have talked about it in discord, but ah, it´s the videogame one.
The project was basically a gamified planner that incited players to do their tasks by having rewards inside a game using pomodoro dynamics.
But my lack of communication skills and design choices made it hard to actually make a game out of it.
So it went through quite a lot of changes.
The biggest one was making the world be in complete darkness. Like eternal night, but it´s because of a darkness cloud that slowly creeps into your phone. So if the darkness swallows you, it´s game over.
This changes the game entirely and has become a game where you have to strategically use your resources to light up a world in complete darkness. You achieve this by gathering resources and:
Building lamps and giving them energy.
Energy you obtain from completing activities in real life.
Those activities are set up by yourself and the system works with reminders. If you don´t mark the activity as done for the day, you don´t receive rewards.
Making buildings that make gathering resources more efficient.
Building a lighthouse to show you the way to the next map.
Building a boat to continue your adventure.
The excuse of the game, aka. story, is that you have to help a small creature get back home in exchange of helping you and aiding as your guide and companion.
The project keeps its core of being a tool to keep yourself active and have more fun doing activities when you can´t see the light at the end of the tunnel. I´m not subtle, either hahah.
But it´s been a harsh long process because there´s too many elements and dynamics to consider. I´m working on this project alone, so you can imagine the amount of work this is.
I have like 10% of it done.
Not gonna lie, I´ve wanted to give up on it so, so many times. Idrk anymore why I keep at it.
In the end, is this game actually fun to play? Or is it just a lot of features taped together in the shape of a "game"? Is this game something my intended players will actually enjoy playing, or am I just making it unnecessarily difficult?
It´s...hard :¨)

The YYH shit...hmmmm hMMMMM??? Honestly when will Netflix stop trying to milk anime with live actions like I feel like live actions always flatten the hell out of the stuff they're adapting because comparatively animation will always be more conducive for stories in the realm of fantasy, action, and grand efforts of imagination. Which is like the biggest fucking irony since we associate live actions with literal dimensionality LMAO
Like we've had this discussion about how animation would be a perfect medium for bringing comic book movies to life in a better way than the mcu's attempts, as best exemplified by the spider verse movie. In this case the same is true but in a different way. The story has already been told in a solidly and much beloved way in an animated medium, why mess with a perfectly good thing?
