tbh you are so real for talking about the misogyny targeted to mei & other women in the lmk fandom. in general its like people only value mei as: a: the wingman to some basic mlm ship or b: macaque 2.0. its honestly crazy how so many male side characters overshadow her in the fanbase despite not even having a FRACTION of her screen time. idk chat i feel like the reason people dont care about mei but care about some random male side/background character is less because they're inherently more likeable but because some of you view women as inherently less likable. and everyone is always like "mei is so girlboss pussy cunt slay shes the only reason theyre still alive because she keeps them safe from their silly boy shennanigans shes their ultimate wingman shes so badass shes their lesbian best friend i totally paid attention to her when i watched this show LOL" and even ignoring the obvious misogyny here (ie. how people reduce her to being the male characters babysitter) its like... okay... i know mei is cool & badass already... could you name literally ANY other character trait she has. like people just value her as being "the braincell" who can get red son and mk together or something stupid and its like are we having fun still is this still fun. literally every day i go into the mei tag its like "look at mei shes red sons wifey and shes vaguely in the background of this drawing of red son and mk staring into each others eyes #trafficlighttrio am i right oh look shes macaques niece now this post is about ao lie why is it in the mei tag"
and thats literally JUST talking about mei and it doesnt even begin to cover the other female characters. chang'e constantly gets reduced to being red sons aunt/mom/big sister despite them like. not having any actual interactions in the show. lady bone demon constantly gets overshadowed by her minion who has like 2 seconds of screen time, or she gets made into a cartoonishly abusive madwoman who people call lady bitch demon. just in general people act like shes a horrible person for like. being a villain. liks yeah the trying to destroy everything was bad but also she was an antagonist and thats what antagonists do LOL. spider queen gets completely ignored. princess iron fan gets made into a cartoonishly abusive mother so that way red son can have a poor angsty backstory and some male character (usually nezha, macaque, swk) can take care of him.
(also theres just a great deal of ethnocentrism in the lmk fanbase? like im white so take what İ say here with a grain of salt but so many people will misconstrue aspects of chinese culture for their own personal hcs. people will say male characters are transfem or nonbinary while completely ignoring the time period/culture their from where thats the norm. like yippee youve implied that an east asian man is feminine/emasculine because he has long hair. how do you not see the negative connotations with this. people also turn pif (& lbd to an extent) into a dragon lady which obviously has negative racial connotations lol.)

Yeah, I totally hear you. The lmk fandom has plenty of issues with misogyny and, like you said, ethnocentrism. It's definitely something worth having a discussion about, along with these issues in fandom as a whole.

I saw your recent post, would you be willing to explain the basic plot to me so that I may ask a deeper question?
SIGH fiiiiiine I suppoossseee...
so three ppl find magical objects and a path to a magical world, which then leads them to becoming warriors under the kingdom of light/sun and fighting against the hand of the golden shadow, a religious cult kingdom thing devoted to resurrecting their dead god , so they can cast the worlds(earth, magical world, underworld, and the celestial city) into an eternal night, making them all their great domains.
so the main characters are unravelling the darkest secrets of this world, while stopping the evil shadow guys from resurrecting what is essentially the most dangerous dude ever... also did i mention it has a tasteful flavor of Gays?
uhm other things of note; main characters are atm like college-aged but that COULD change idk.
im thinking its an odd trio, of like a witch, a knight, and a shape-shifter but idk how itd work . as for villains, u have the daughter of this dead god, you have a random bird person whos immortal and cursed to roam the realm for eternity, their flesh decaying, and uhm you have someone else who i have yet to fill in the slot for . also ithink the dead god has a son too idk if i wanna do that tho or naurt. if u wanna see more stuff i post it in my warriors of light tag loll

bonus reasons for hating her guts are: emotional manipulation of both her son and spouse, emotinal/mental abuse of her son and spouse, lying, experimentation on her son, attempted murder, and a bunch of others I can’t really think of right now (im sure my other people will be able to mention them in the tags)
But I mean she’s not WRONG about her motivations? Like the world they live in isn’t very good and does need change but… you know. She’s evil so.
Idk man, she’s a semi-prominent villain in a YA fantasy novel series who borderline abuses her son and commits heinous crimes on the side.
She’s not really the most complex villain but whatcha gonna do?

favorite thing about them: GOD. THERE REALLY IS SO MUCH. Of course I love his design, it's absolutely bonkers in the best way--if you told me two years ago there was a nine foot tall monster robot yugioh character with angel symbolism out the ass i would have been like EXCUSE ME. HELLO. *RUNNING OVER* but also!! his arc is just fucking GOOD. he's just this sad and complex and angry and miserable old old old man in a robot werelion body who's actually three people who are actually just one person. peak yugioh villain nonsense i absolutely adore it. and i LOVE when villains have the face turn and fight back against the Big Bad as much as they can. it goes hard!!! (but also, specific small thing thats one of my favorite things about him--it's like, very implied despite being Gigantic he's fairly dexterous and gentle with how he handles things?? Always grabbing his tiny cards very delicately and doings little tricks with them and in tag force 6 (Citizen Kane for Insane Aporia Girlies) he actively tells you the protagonist that he doesnt make mistakes with how much force to use with things (being a machine and all.) idk it's just very cute to me. it's a sweet detail.)
least favorite thing about them: pained smile. big man proper's literally only in.....about 9-10 episodes total??? <:) crying. wailing. my kingdom for a SLIVER of more screentime. it's also a shame like. 2/3s of his episodes never got dubbed, I would have absolutely adored to see what the dubbed version would have looked like!! (especially since those eps include like. my Favorite 5ds duels. it'd be like having two whole cakes babey!!!!)
favorite line: ok im restraining myself from picking something from Tag Force because all of his dialogue in TF6 makes me sick in the head and i love it but I WILL PICK. SOMETHING FROM THE ANIME. LIKE A NORMAL PERSON. god. it's gotta be these.

Basically all of them are friends and they met each other from a multiverse glitch or smth and they joined the spider society so they can see each other again! Also Spidershroom is not male or female so call it whatever pronouns you want to call it. It also doesn’t know the concept of food or not food. Spidershroom can collapse like building blocks too and it can’t rebuild itself so someone’s gonna have to figure out how to rebuild Spidershroom.

Five years later, completely unrelated if you asked him, there was a nineteen year old man raising four children he'd managed to find in the woods (well, one from the nether) at various points over the years. Makes a nice bit of money from an enchant shop, as well.

Okay, this one’s been done already by other blogs and I understand that not every writer wants to do the same prompt as another so if you’re not comfortable with this then absolutely stay in your comfy zone. I just think it’s fun to see different interpretations
But basically, Civilian is unknowingly dating Villain (as in, Civilian doesn’t know that villain is a criminal), and Villain is introduced to Civilian’s brother, Hero. Hero is terrified that Villain is going to hurt Civilian the entire time, but Villain just keeps on showing lots of sweet affection to Civilian (Hero and Villain recognize each other but Civilian is clueless of both their “jobs”). It’s up to you whether or not Villain actually loves Civilian or is just taunting/threatening Hero :)

Civilian shifted from foot to foot, rubbing her left wrist as she tried to focus on the conversation swirling around her. Her limbs felt lead-heavy and numb, deadweights that she wasn’t sure what to do with.
She clasped her hands together in front of her, then let them hang by her sides. Then clasped them in front of her again.
Her breathing felt loud in her ears, and a few of the patrons glanced in her direction. Could they hear her breathing?
Her eyes darted to the entrance for the hundredth time. Her brother was late. Hero had promised to be here early—he knew how she felt about crowds. And since he was the one who insisted her first art show be public, he’d reassured her he’d stay by her side the whole time.
The show had started over an hour ago.
“Well, Civilian?”
Her eyes snapped away from the door and back to the circle of patrons around her. Her stomach sloshed cold. They were all looking at her, their stares burning holes.
“Sorry? What was that?” Her stomach continued to twist and writhe. Now they all knew she’d been distracted.
Did they think she was ignoring them? Had she been rude?
She’d only glanced at the door for a moment…
An older man shook his head as his companion repeated her question about her choice to use different mediums to portray the same image.
She answered the best she could, gesturing to the wall beside her, which was filled with a dozen paintings and drawings of the cityscape—some created with ink, other with oil, acrylic, watercolor, or charcoal—she’d used them all.
She rubbed her wrist again as she tried to explain how she’d used the different mediums.
A few in the circle nodded their heads, but her heart was pounding and doubt nagged at her as she spoke. Was she talking too much? Not enough? Was what she was saying stupid?
She stumbled over her words, unease crawling beneath her skin.
She looked down, unable to complete her thought.
“I think it’s a marvelous technique.”
Hero looked up sharply as the deep voice continued, covering the awkward pause she’d created.
“...to get to look at a wall full of paintings, all capturing the same image but each conveying a different mood or emotion.”
Her rescuer was sharply dressed: his dark hair carefully styled, his suit perfectly tailored, and his gold watch designer. Combined with his confident posture, his appearance practically screamed “lawyer,” same as her brother. But while Hero was a public defense attorney, crusading against a flawed system, the man in front of her was probably what Hero would call a ‘leech,’ a rich defense lawyer catering to the criminal elite.
And while Civilian sympathized with Hero’s cause, she also had enough experience as a starving artist to appreciate the luxury of not having to worry about how much money she had to spend at the grocery store.
Plus, he’d been so kind to save her; how bad could he be?
Her rescuer was still speaking, his smooth words and confident tone confirming his profession.
“... the kind of art that needs to be seen and studied to be appreciated.”
At his hint, the crowd began to drift towards the gallery walls.
Her rescuer met her gaze through the crowd, and she offered him a small smile of gratitude as the people around her shifted away.
She turned towards the wall of cityscape paintings, breathing a sigh of relief before stopping to analyze one of the city in the rain. She eyed the brushstrokes, mentally smoothing a line here, adding a shadow there. She shook her head and turned away. Now was not the time.
But her rather abrupt turn sent her careening into a wall-like something that wasn’t a wall, but a certain tall lawyer in a thousand-dollar Armani suit. She jerked back, horrified at her lack of grace, but tripped on her blasted heels. Hands at her waist stopped her fall, long fingers tightening around her as she regained her balance. When she was finally steady, his hands slid away.
“Thanks.” Civilian forced herself to look up into the face of the man who had now rescued her twice, rather than looking around like she wanted to to check who else had noticed her embarrassing almost-fall.
He was smiling warmly, and for the first time all night, her heart wasn’t pounding at the thought of speaking with a stranger.
“I’m sorry for running into you.” She felt breathless, but it must have been from her almost-fall.
He waved her off. “I shouldn’t have been standing so close. I just wanted to compliment the way you’ve captured my favorite view of the city.” He gestured to the painting she’d just been critiquing.
“I painted it at the top of the—“
“Capitol building, yes I go there often.”
“Because you work there often?” Civilian flushed as she spoke across him, but her heart steadied as he didn’t seem to mind. His smile widened, and he leaned closer.
“What gave me away?” His voice was deep, and he looked at her as though they were sharing a secret.
Her cheeks grew warmer, and she looked away, heart racing for an entirely different reason.
“My brother is a lawyer, so I usually can just tell. He was supposed to be here actually…” a frown came to her face as she remembered her brother’s promise.
She shook herself out of her reverie. Her rescuer was looking at her warmly.
“I’m sorry! You rescued me back there, and I don’t even know your name…” She looked at him expectantly, and he offered a bright smile that made her stomach flutter.
“I’m Villain. Pleased to meet you.” His voice was practically a purr, sending tingles across her skin as he took her hand, gently raising it to his lips. She looked down as her cheeks heated at the old fashioned gesture.
“I’m Civilian,” she said as he released her hand, returning his bright smile with a shy one of her own. “Although you probably already knew that since my name is on the program...”
He nodded. “I have to say, I’m quite impressed by your—”
“Civilian!”
A blur in a tan suit darted around Villain and grabbed her arm, pulling her back.
“Hero, what?—” Her brother was a mess. His suit was wrinkled, tie coming undone, hair mussed.
He continued to pull her back, eyes on Villain. “Civilian I need to talk to you—it’s urgent!”
She glanced back at Villain as Hero tugged her away.
“Sorry!” She mouthed.
He just shook his head, an amused smile on his face, before mouthing something that looked suspiciously like, “I’ll see you later.”
Her heart warmed, and she was still grinning when Hero pulled her around the corner and flipped her around to face him.
“What are you—”
“Do you have any idea who that is?” Hero’s fingers gripped her shoulders. “What he is?”
“He said his name was Villain? And so what that he’s a lawyer, Hero. I don’t get why you are freaking out!”
Hero’s hands shook her shoulders. “He’s not just a lawyer, he—”
Civilian wrenched free and shoved Hero’s chest. “He what? Actually helped me? When YOU failed to show up like you promised.” Her last words slid into a growl.
Hero had the decency to look ashamed for a brief moment before his face hardened. He lifted a hand, gesturing with one arm back towards where they’d left Villain. “His people are the reason that I’m late!”
Anger sparked in her chest, and she rolled her eyes. “Sure,” she scoffed, “blame some random lawyer for your broken promise. That’s a pitiful excuse, Hero, even for you.”
She shoved past him, heading back into the gallery.
“Wait, Sis!” He grabbed her arm. She shook him off and stalked away.
But when she returned to the main room, Villain was gone.

-But he will never say that aloud.
-Pairs up with you.
-Impostor or not he will follow you around to keep you safe™.

- “Told you.”
-He knows how to use vents and NOT get caught.
-Like legit he never ever gets caught.
-No one knows it how he does it it just happens.

-Even when he is being accused.

-He really never has to say anything bc he never gets blamed but anyways.
-Trolls people when he is a crewmate.

Dabi
-Is accidently good at it.
-Maybe its the villain life style but he knows how to turn others against someone???
-Like blue may have been with three other people for the majority of the game but for a few seconds he left and came back.
-In that time ladies and gentelmen blue murdered dear green in cold blood.
-I swear its amazing how much people believe him.
-Like look at him.
-He just oozes trust.
-He has one of those faces.
-When he is the impostor he legit kills everyone in 0.5 seconds.
-Goes on a killing spree killing 4 crewmates on his own in a matter of seconds while you on hte other hand have been trailing white from the start of the game.
-You always get ejected no matter what.
-Mostly because you always find the bodies..... and Dabi is a lil shit and says he saw you venting or killing.
-Like, sir I am your s/o please defend my honor.
-Got voted off once and almost burned his bed.
-He got really REALLY frustrated because for the first time in forever no one believed him.
-And he was ejected.
-When he was just an innocent crewmate.
-The only reason no one trusted him was because you guys were playing with the LoV and they know what type of person Dabi is.
-Next in line was Shigaraki......crusty ass man got ejected so fast.
Shigaraki Tomura
-Gamer rage.
-No one trusts him.
-Its worse than Kamis’ situation.
-Sir, we do not trust you please leave our space shuttle.
-And it gets to him so fucking much.
-Like you will just hear a random anguished scream at 3 am bc he was once again... ejected.
-For some reason can never be the impostor.
-Like the games’ algorithm is fighting against him and never gives him a chance.
- “This game is bugged!”
- “You a crewmate again?”
- “FUCKKKKKK!!!!!”
-Cannot get the nuclear reactor task right.
-Keeps forgetting the order of the buttons and will spend the whole game there doing just that.
-Until he gets killed.
-He ruined two phones.
-He got so angry he accidently turned his phone into dust.
-Kurogiri is a tired parent.
-Like a really tired parent.
-Dabi and Toga troll him while playing together.
-Angers him further and no he is chasing them throughout the hideout to turn them to dust.
-You have to calm him down with cuddles so he can sleep.
-Bc bby boy cannot sleep if he’s mad.
Hawks/Keigo Takami
-Can’t really play??
-Can’t do tasks and always self reports.
-He’s just dumb.
-Dumb and easily distracted.
-You’ll be playing next to him and he will be watching you game.
-And then he will see you go near him and he’ll wake up from his trance and try to get away.
-But fails.
-Like fails miserably.
-Gets chopped in half in no time.
- “SONGBIRD!”
- “There are no rules in love and war, darling.”
-Fuming.
-Tries to convince Endeavor to play with you two.
-Will staright up call the man in the middle of the night and give him the code to your room.
-Makes sex jokes while its just the three of you in the room.
- “So I have been thinking....now that I have you both were I want you.”
- “Hawks...” “Keigo.......”
- “Let’s have a threesome.”

-Is a really bad impostor.
-He just tells you that he is the killer the moment he gets his role and you just report him with zero hesitation.
-He has been betrayed.

I’ve had time to think about it and I need to

About kh again because of the KHUx finale
I’m sorry I’m on mobile and there doesn’t seem to be a trick to adding a line break so I’ll do my best to make this brief
1. Holy shit the Masters motivations
This is what I’ve been waiting for. To have any idea why he’s been doing what he’s doing. Yes, there is a decent chance he is lying but if he isn’t then holy shit that’s dark. Hell even if he’s lying it’s dark. From what I understand he needs the hearts of his apprentices and himself to trap the 7 strongest original darknesses and 6 people for the weaker ones. Then he plans to ??? Kill them all? From what I understand. He says it’s not about sacrifice but idk how else to take that other then as sacrifice. And he only told Luxu this to ensure Luxu would betray him in the end like this asshole is so damn manipulative
But more importantly is that this proves even if he has ‘good intentions’ he’s the villain. He’s planned this all to kill 13 darknesses, and it’s lead to every bad thing that happened to Sora and co. Not to mention the thousands of dead keyblade wielders from the war.
2. The thirteen darknesses
We know there are 12 more of these guys who aren’t Vanitas, but Vanitas does seem to be one of them. I’m more interested in how I don’t think what Vanitas says above can possibly be true, or at least not the way he framed it. He also seemed content to return to Ventus but his current form was kind of a shit show of pain if the birth by sleep light novel is correct. Also interested if he comes back into play as the only of the 13 darknesses to seemingly be now completely separated and who had his own form for a while. I also feel that since MoMs motivations are so dark and not really for the best for anyone just kind of for revenge, we might see some of these darknesses on our side. I’m not saying for sure Vanitas redemption arc but he’s the most likely as the only darkness who we know
3. Braig might be more Okay then I originally thought
I kind of expected Luxu to be absolutely wrecking lives as he went but he did seem to orchestrate Brains return in at Scala, years after Ephemer likely died of old age there. Which is already showing us that compared to MoM that luxu cares about people’s lives. So there might be hope for the original braig yet, but I’m not super counting on it.
4. Skuld, Strelitzia, Subject X, Ava and the “true dandelion”
So Skuld is almost assuredly Subject X, the only thing stopping me from saying it is is that we’re not sure what Ava looks like under her mask.
My real question is who is Luxu’s real dandelion and how do they come into play? Currently it seems likely to me that it’s either Strelizia or Ava herself, but at the same time trying to figure out when he’d have time to grab them seems hard to guess. Ava he’d have to lure her from the war and knock her out, ans Strelizia he’d have to grab her heart before it faded and it seemed like he had a body in his arms. He did tell Ava the masters full plan so he might be hinging on her help.
Not to mention the chance that someone else we aren’t thinking about has the potential to be this dandelion.
5. Who the hell are you Demyx
Now I’m going to say here I have a decent reason I 100% don’t think he’s the MoM but that does leave me wondering who he is and what keyblade legacy he was a part of. We know he can’t be a random survivor who escaped the data city because of what happened to everyone ( tag ur key kid im a pink meow wow). So is he from Scala? Ancient Scala? Why is he so averted to fighting? Is he traumatized? Why is he traumatized against fighting if so? It’s not like He doesn’t want to help people, he Just doesn’t want to fight to do that.
6. Is Sigurd important or nah? Why does that generation of keyblade wielders have blood born outfits? Why does that part of scala look so much more oppressive then the scala we see from Xehanort’s memories?

favorite thing about them: she is so soft and gentle! she teaches kids and that gentleness will serve her so well with them.
least favorite thing about them: she is complicit in Endeavor’s abuse, largely because she has only ever been a victim of his neglect. Still, she shouldn’t insist on defending him, even if I understand where she’s coming from.

random headcanon: When she decides she wants kids, she adopts!
unpopular opinion: I think that her seizing the chance to be a family again is understandable and not inherently bad. she shouldn’t defend endeavor, but the desire to have a whole and coherent family unit is strong and understandable, and people shouldn’t villainize her for it.

random headcanon: she used to practice breakdance in her family’s living room and kept getting in trouble for breaking things!
