Somehow, Klaus being canonically sexually active after Dave never sat quite right with me. ooh i see where you’re coming from with this but i’m actually of a different mind!! pretty much every time we’ve heard about klaus sleeping with someone other than dave, it’s been transactional in some way - osso buco guy for a place to sleep, jill and keechie for like …… community building, i guess, is the generous interpretation?? he’s stranded in the 60s with no money and nowhere to go, so he gets himself a rich socialite to fund his lifestyle (i love you kitty live your truth queen). i think klaus has had plenty of sex in his life purely because he enjoyed it, but i also think sex is an important part of the klaus toolbox, and i’d be surprised if he gave it up, especially when he’s so short on other options

and re: klaus sleeping with people who he doesn’t know or want to be touched by, not to get too bleak here on a monday morning, but depending on how klaus is mentally approaching his transactional sex, those things aren’t necessarily mutually exclusive ):
