"...And Alfred Molina is on some king shit...all the time..."
These guys are goofy (and "drunk"), but I had to share my favorite parts of their riff of Spider-Man 2. (That quote above was just one of my favorites from this video.)
I've been meaning to share this, but forgot since I was working on other projects. The full video is on YouTube if you would like to see it.
I might’ve spoiled the plot of Natlan | Genshin Impact THEORY
In which I read so much lore that I gained the power to see the future (maybe)
This ended up being a real challenge to make - but it was also really fun! Please do lemme know what you reckon of these ideas, and whether y’all wanna see me pattern-recognition my way into several corkboards worth of theories about any other topics sometime down the line! (^^)/
(also: HAPPY NEW YEAR! 🥳🎉 Here's wishing y'all every good thing for 2024)
I'm watching Tango's vod of him and Grian trying to wrangle the wardens back into Decked Out and it's hilarious how eager Grian was to get a chance at wrangling some wardens. Tango confirmed that they actually escaped and Grian immediately logs back in like "ON MY WAY, LET'S GO"
I hope this doesn't trudge up any sense of longing for things that weren't possible, but I know as a creator there're things you most likely wanted to include in TNP but couldn't make work.
Are there any you could talk about ? For example: Weapons. Were there any weapon choices you wanted the Hunter to have but couldn't?
Every now and then I think about mine wielding a scythe or something like the Hunter's Axe from Bloodborne. Complete with the ability to extend for long range attacks.
hmmm well it's still kinda early on in the story, so it's hard for me to say what will have to be cut in the end. there are a few scenes i've had to take out here and there, but there's a chance i may still reuse them in the future.
i definitely wish we could explore more of the world and see more monsters.... originally i did plan for the gang to go down south at some point, but that's not a part of the story anymore, which is a little disappointing. chapter 3 is going to be a bit of a monster of the week moment though, which i'm excited about, so we'll get to really see the hunter in their element (and monsters, of course).
when it comes to weapons, i definitely wish i could add more 😭 but writing combat is HARD especially with so many variations. and the blackwater fight i even made everyone use a sword and it still kicked my ass. i tried to do some interesting stuff with the magic and alchemy, which was definitely inspired by elden ring since i was playing it at the time (i know one of the moves, iirc with air magic, was directly inspired by the waterfowl dance)
if you want cool weapons, i suggest picking the alchemy skill. the whips in ch2 are some of my favorite weapons, as well as their spiked gauntlet they use against Duncan.
but the dream would be for the hunter to wield the ultimate pizza cutter....
“What do you make of the claims that Robert and Aleksander have made about Ilnar and Tõnas, and the sense that ZA/UM has been stolen from them?”
“In the beginning, when we became friends...to me, he was a god. I was very young, very influence-able. I sort of admired him to a degree where my own personality was eaten up.”

I like live streams but I wish they were not the main form of mcyt content. Or at least not starting to become that. Like it....really is not a sustainable way to do every single smp you ever make. A lot of people don't have time to catch streams and barely have time to watch vods as well (and most people only watch 1-5 streamers. Imagine watching MORE.) LIFE SERIES is a challenge for me and lots of others to get through, let alone several 2-7 hour long livestreams.
Plus some people are gonna stop watching because they're only there for the lore and they'd rather save time than skim through several streams just to find it yk? After a certain point condensing them down into 15-30 (maybe 40) minute videos and making lore summaries is a necessity or your gonna lose viewers. (ESPECIALLY if you have a large cast meaning more characters to impact each other and the plot)
Idk I follow a lot of streamers and there's like...less than 10 who I have ever/would sit through a full stream from them, lore happening or not.
ok sorry to rant out of nowhere but why is tender is the flesh on every book youtuber's top 10 (or whatever) best horror books ever list 😭 it was so bad, I couldn't even finish it bc it was so uninteresting... like I would get it if a few people loved it bc people's tastes are always gonna vary, but the fact that its SO popular just baffles me like am I missing something or am I crazy or what lmao??? and one of the best books EVER?????
the good news: finally started* my new bookbinding project (making a sketchbook for a birthday present for my brother—I think I'm going to do some variant of a sewn boards binding if I can find some kind of card with the right weight. thinking of doing some kind of loz design or at least a sword on the cover? also I found the scraps of gold leaf I scavenged from the trash this has so much potential)
the bad news: it's 1 am and the high of starting something is making me. not tired
i really dislike how modern day social media feminism revolves around (the hatred of) men and dating men. we really are walking back like 20 years of social progression and it drives me up the fucking wall
does anyone have any resources (stories or fictional media or even scientific papers) about things like the haunted internet or haunted websites. or even just creepypasta stuff about web 1.0

ALSO!! if you are interested in covers i am going to recommend two shows: double trouble and superband!!! i wrote a post about my fave double trouble performances here and a bit explaining about the show. superband is a show where musicians get grouped up to form bands and compete! it's like a survival show but like 1000x better and the musicians are literally some of the best in korea. there's two seasons, here's two of my favourite performances (mostly there's too many to pick from and also a lot of the perfs from season one have been wiped from youtube):
this goth rock cover of oops i did it again (yes that one) pretty much singlehandedly won craxilver the show (featuring my beloved feral piano man)
this strings cover of creep (sorry about the subs and crop but see above) from hoppipolla, the winners of season one
