#hollow knight#hk#hollow knight gijinka#hk gijinka#the hollow knight#thk#hk ghost#little ghost#fanart#doodle#sketch#i've explored ideas before about what ghost was up to between the birthplace cutscene and the beginning of the game#i'm not set on any one explanation but they definitely spent some amount of time wandering around like a feral child#and in gijinka terms they DEFINITELY didn't get a haircut for a looooong time#thk on the other hand was not given a haircut for various reasons#ranging from practical ones like 'their hair will grow for eternity in the black egg so they might as well be used to absurdly long hair'#to slightly more sentimental ones like the pale king also having long hair and just kinda. doing the same thing with their hair#i'd include a visual of hornet's hair over the years but it's less interesting#her hair was a little longer when she was a kid and then she cut it for practical reasons. very straightforward
