I cannot ever shut up about the impact of sound design on visual storytelling because every single time "Inferno" starts playing in this scene, I experience the most sincere, ecstatic tears. The story is already fantastic, but the music just punches me in the heart.

And by the time it gets to Lio watching the last of the Promare leaving him,

they've transitioned into this softened instrumental of the song, and it elevates his stunned, almost wistful emotions so beautifully.

Just! Y'know! I have so many feelings about the importance of music. It just connects to something primal in us, I feel, and I hope it gets more appreciation when it's done well.
