my friends have been concerned about me because they noticed my bruising, but that’s just because i get hit with swords for fun now. maybe they should be concerned though because i cannot FUCKING defend my upper right arm apparently, i got hit there last week in class, in the exact same spot during the tournament on friday, and again just tonight

#jesus #alber lernen #truly don't worry though i'm having the time of my life #i've been preening and showing off all the nasty-looking ones because. they're battle scars. and that's cool as hell #i told my one poor coworker 'i got in a fight on friday' and bless her she was so concerned until i clarified #tournament. i fought in a tournament. it was consensual lol #my former instructor was like 'they let you fight? that's a little irresponsible' but i had a great time #unfortunately my buddy who was there on friday wasn't in class tonight so he couldn't gas me up to them #but he said i did well! i don't have technique yet (besides 'hit the other guy') but i do have heart #i had my opponents on the back foot then and tonight too #this is because i forget that you can walk backwards so i just. go forwards. until i can't anymore
