Tim: You never heard of Goncharov, B?? Is the best mafia movie of all times.

Duke: Wow, Mr. Wayne, Dick told me you loved mafia movies, but you don't even know Goncharov?

Bruce: I'm not a big movie fan or a Scorcese fan, I guess this one jusy slided me by.

Damian: T-T I'm disapointed with you father, you have to be a truly uncultured swinne to have never wached such a masterpiece as Goncharov 1973 directed by Matteo JWHJ0715 and Martin Scorcese.

Dick: *who is more of a little shit than people give him credit for* He should know it! We watched it on our early novie nights. You don't remember, B? *sad eyes*

Bruce: *who did sleep during most of his first family movie nights with Dick* I-I-I'm soo sorry, Dick. We can watch it again today? Make new memories?

Dick: I guess.

Jason: The fact you never watched it diminish the value of a critical discussion of certain aspects, like the religous symbolism of the market scene with the two forbiden fruits with Katya seing christianity in the apple while Sophia represented the paganism with the pomegranate, that can only be appreciated in a second view.

Cass: Finally someone is talking about the pomegranate and the apple.

Steph: Can we talk about Mario's glass motif and how it subverts expectations since normally broken glass represents loss but here is Mario's obcession, not seing the beauty in the fragments - or in the members of his mafioso empire- in a drive for the perfection and assumed superior quality of the whole - his trials to be like the tradicional criminal families going against change and his facistic suprass of individuality - to the point were when he finally fixes his broken glass vase to perfection his most trustworthy allies - namely Andrey and Joseph - have betrayed him in one way or another.

Bruce: *completly lost* This does sound like a great movie!

Barbara: It is one. And you would know that if you had any ressemblance of culture.

Dick: Honestly Bruce I can't belive you sleeped and missed such a perfect movie like Goncharov.

Alfred: *entering the living room* What's going on here?

Tim: B never saw Goncharov.

Alfred: *who has absolutly no idea what they are talking about* Really? Master Bruce, I thought I had teached you better than that! Goncharov is a mark of cinematography!

Tim: so why should we select you?

Guy A: I'm rich and handsome

Dick: Bruce is literally a billionaire. are you saying you are more rich than him?

Jason: and handsome? Don't make me laugh you look worse than our family dog.

Guy A: ex-xcuse me??

Damian: you are excused. Now get out

Tim: and what about you?

Guy b: I can protect him

Damian: protect?? dad??

Dick: [scoffs] It's like saying you can protect Batman.

Guy b: but he ain't Batman though

Jason: bitch he might be

Damian: where did you even find these people Tim?

Jason: seriously? imagine saying u can protect Batman

Dick: nah bruh imagine flexing money and looks on Bruce

Tim: ok guys this is the last candidate for the day

Tim: so what makes you special?

Clark: I can cook for him

Jason:[snorts] What if you can cook for him? How can it help our Bruce?

Clark: I'm sorry I'm not as rich as him but I can cook, clean, and care for him

Dick: have you brought anything to claim your statement.

Clark:[places the pie] I brought this Kansas special apple pie-

Soo I'm here to rq another Damian x reader(platonic). But real quick, I'm sorry if I'm requesting too much or being a nuisance. Pls lmk if I am so I can stop! It's just hard to find somebody that writes for him like dis.

Anyways, basically the same thing were theyre friends but this time it's a diff scenario. So Damian n reader are obvi friends but theyre also complete oposites. Like Damian is intelegent, focused and meanwhile has reader is a bit dumber, daydreams too much, and kinder. They also get walked over a lot.

So he invites reader over to the manor and she meets his brothers n dad. It's all fine n dandy but they can't help but notice how diff they are.

Bonus points if reader talks positively abt him to his brothers and they're all like "fym he's nice?" And readers all like "fym he isnt?" (They're just not used to being treated like a normal human being) ‼️

Honestly I love writing for platonic! Damian. So pls don’t apologise for anything bc I’m having so much fun rn. 🦦plus I don’t know if this will read well as I’ve written this late at night when o should probably be in bed.

‘Am I seeing things or has Damian finally made a friend.’ Dick whispered to Jason, his eyes unable to tear his eyes away from you and Damian followed Bruce through the manor.

‘Nope, I’m definitely seeing it too.’ Jason replied also looking at you and Damian as if he was looking at the human personifications of night and day.

‘The fact that the demon spawn managed to get a friend sure is…something.’ Tim piped up, having overheard his brothers conversation from standing in between them. ‘I can only hope he didn’t kidnap the poor soul.’ Dick added as he was quick to click onto how Damian kept a hand on your arm, tugging and pulling you along when you stop to stare at a painting in awe for a little too long, gently encouraging you to keep up with him and Bruce by promising to go back to the painting later. Jason then looked over at Tim, ‘any ideas on who they are?’ Tim shrugged. ‘Only the fact that they go to the same school as Damian, share the same art classes and is known for being a little bit of a daydreaming pushover, but despite all that they’re still a kind person.’

Dick smiled sympathetically as his heart ached for you. It wasn’t easy being nice in a city like Gotham, if anything nice ever wandered into the accursed city it seemed as though Gotham itself would stop at nothing to see it destroyed, decimated and become as miserable and as bleak as the city itself; So it was rare to find someone who genuinely could still bring it in themselves to smile whilst in a city like this. And for that Dick had to give you props for being brave enough -and strong enough- to be kind in a place that would gladly take pleasure in stepping over and on you at any inconvenience. For it was truly a sign of bravery at its finest.

‘That kid is sure brave.’ Jason signed, knowing that people like you don’t last in Gotham but it was people like you that Gotham needed the most, but how could a retched place like Gotham heal when it’s always been a rotten city since it’s very conception? He didn’t believe it could be possible but there were always solutions to fighting the problem that seemed impossible to overcome. So who cares if you weren’t the brightest bulb at school? The education system in Gotham was shit anyway the last time he checked and he doubted much had changed when he…well you know…

Tim was silent. He was too busy recognising the protective measures that Damian was taking specifically for you; mainly the hand tugging at your arm anytime he thought you were getting distracted or wandering off elsewhere and muttering about how you need to keep or you’ll get left behind, despite the fact that even if you did Damian would allow himself to fall behind just so that he could walk besides you. While he might be part of the majority that didn’t think he’s ever see the day that Damian brought a friend home, never less a friend who was the total opposite of him. He couldn’t help but feel a sort of relief that Damian finally found a friend, and he knew that both Jason and Dick felt similarly from the looks upon their faces, silently observing how you interact with one another.

The one thing that Tim was confident in was the fact that Damian needed you as much as you needed Damian because you were a beacon of opportunity for his younger brother in many ways that Tim was certain you weren’t made aware of just yet. So while he and his brothers may tease and take this piss about how different you were from Damian, they mean well and express their happiness the only way they knew best; teasing and taking the piss.

‘This library is beautiful Mr Wayne! Do you have any fantasy books?’ You could be heard asking down the hallway, followed by the sound of Bruce softly laughing as he showed you the grand library. ‘This library has any book you can think of and please call me Bruce, it’s not often that Damian brings anyone home for the weekend.’ He says as you looked the Damian confused and a little betrayed. ‘You’ve got friends other than me?’

Damian groaned. ‘No. I don’t, you’re the only friend I’m willing myself to have.’

You smiled and gripped his hand. ‘Aww Dami! That’s so sweet of you to say, despite how brash and blunt you may come across, I’m glad to say that you’re the only friend I’m willing to have too!’ You said without shame. ‘Everyone else isn’t a nice as you are.’ You trailed off while a rare solemn look appeared upon your face as Damian was quick to squeeze your hand reassuringly, Bruce smiled sympathetically. ‘I’m not smart like your son mr Wayne, I can’t help it if things don’t come to me as easy as they do others but I try! I try really heard to do my best at every test but…but people tend to laugh of me because to them I’m either slow or thick.’ Damian’s jaw clenched and his brows furrowed upon being remembered of what people tended to call you.

He hated it and whenever he saw it happen, he was quick to utter some threatening words before taking his usual position as your pseudo-bodyguard for the rest of the school day. At first he wasn’t bothered but when you became restless in your pursuit of being his friend, he remembered vividly how people were mocking and making fun of you for trying to be his friend, that he often regrets not accepting your friendship sooner if it meant being able to be there when it counts.

‘When will you get it that Damian doesn’t want to be friends with someone like you.’ One person said.

‘Then I’ll just have to keep trying.’ You rebutted, still smiling somehow.

Another person scoffs. ‘Get fucking real. You’re a weirdo, no one wants to be friends with a weirdo who so fucking slow at everything.’

You merely shrugged, even when someone’s insulting you, your brain doesn’t recognises it as such. ‘I’m sure he won’t mind.’

‘God you’re so fucking useless that I’m surprised that anyone bothers with you. Let me say this in a way you won’t have to try so hard to understand dipshit. Damian. Will. Never. Be. Friends. With. Someone. Like. You. Ever.’ A third slowly spoke and Damian had heard enough and within a blink of an eye had laid them out flat. You blinked before looking at Damian with a bright smile. ‘Hi Damian! Did you hurt these guys, that’s not very nice.’

‘They insulted you and yet you defend their honour.’ Damian asked incredulously as you both walked down the hallway, leaving the three bullies to groan from their injuries. You shrugged. ‘I wouldn’t say that.’

‘They were insulting you.’ Damian reiterated. ‘They insulted your intelligence and your abilities. People like them often hide bigger insecurities than others.’ Damian replied, finding your ability to keep smiling after such things both annoying as it was admirable.

‘Are we friends now?’ You asked innocently enough and Damian knew he had sealed his fate, and so he sighs and looks up to the ceiling. ‘Yes, we’re…friends.’ He mutters and doesn’t do anything to stop you from dragging him to art class.

‘I was alone before Damian.’ You admitted as you looked at Bruce with a smile as you squeezed Damian’s hand in kind. ‘But now he’s here and he’s my bestest friend ever!’ Damian honestly wishes that you respect yourself more because you could claim that he saved you multiple times, but you’d never acknowledge the times where you have saved him by being unequivocally kind, sweet and over all a better person then all of Gotham’s civilians combined. ‘I was finding my first week at school horrid before I befriended l/n.’ Damian admitted as you softly cooed. The boy then swallows thickly. ‘Their friendship is much appreciated.’

‘Aww! Dami!’ You cried as you crashed into him, causing you both to hit the floor in a heap of limbs.

While Damian was cursing mom lethal threats and you were laughing, Bruce had already made his mind up about you and was certain to make sure to have Damian invite you over as much as possible. It was obvious for him to see that you and Damian were good for each other despite your vast and glaring differences, however that’s what worked in your favour, the power to have over come all odds was incredible; not to mention the fact that your friendship with Damian had lasted as long as it has was another impressive feet on top of that. Bruce knows it’s been hard for Damian to fit in and find a friend, but he couldn’t have made a better friend than he did in the likes of you.

You were more than defiantly welcomed back to the manor if Bruce had anything to say about it.

‘Get off of me!’ Damian shouts.

‘Damian, I think my foot is stuck with yours.’ You reply, scared.

‘That’s your own foot- how did you manage to tangle yourself up in yourself? You landed onto of me?’ Damian asked incredulously.

‘Sorry.’ You apologised.

‘Don’t be.’ Damian said.

Bruce smiled one last time before leaving you both alone in the library to untangle yourselves, only to be greeted by Tim, Dick and Jason. ‘Can I help you three?’ Bruce raised an eyebrow at the boys.

‘Nope.’ Dick started.

‘Not really, just…seeing how the little scamps are dealing.’ Jason followed after.

‘Damian? Nice? The same Damian who tried to, oh I don’t know…KILL ME?!’ Tim asked, revealing to Bruce all he needed to know, their breathing behind the library door was telling that they were clearly eavesdropping on the three of you. Jason and Dick looked at him displeased as Tim looked back at them. ‘I’m not the only one of us who thought that.’ He defended himself. ‘I mean it’s nice that he’s looking out for y/n but still that’s not something someone casually forgets.’

Bruce merely leaves Tim, Dick and Jason to their own quarrel, he loves his boys he truly does, but sometimes they’re more trouble than what they’re worth. He can only hope that they don’t scare you off from coming back for good because he was already planning your next visit.

Soo...Is F!John Dory still a leader of the "group"? :0

Technically yes. Practically - no.

Of course John Dory is still there, living with brothers in same bunker. But he mostly staying away in his room, or somewhere outside, hunting.

Bruce was the one who basically took over all the responsibilities. Taking care of brothers, cleaning bunker and keeping clean, cooking (he's the only guy who knows how to properly cook in the house seriously.)

Clay and Floyd helping Bruce as much as they can. Branch learning some cooking lessons from him.

This answer is going to be a bit lengthy so I'm going to put it under the break. And I am planning on doing another post of fancasting like this one for the extended Batfam members so I might not address all your points here, but they will be coming very soon! 😘

First of all, I am a big fan of both Bale and Pattinson's portrayals. I have a hard time picking a favorite because their approaches to the character are so different and yet both valid. I am VERY interested to see what they do with Battinson moving forward since this first movie is still early in his time wearing the cowl where he is still figuring out what Batman should be. And I would LOVE to see him get a Robin in the sequel (preferably sticking with Dick like the canon) but we shall see!

I'm not sure if you've seen The Boys, but Jensen's portrayal of Soldier Boy is all the proof to me that he could nail portraying Batman. And his range in Supernatural (from being a gruff and heartless hunter one minute to breaking down in a softer, protective emotional side the next) solidifies for me that he could switch between Batman to Batdad when needed. And he's charming as hell so Bruce wouldn't be a problem 😂

I'll have my new fancast of Alfred on my next post, but from previous ones, Michael Caine is always my Alfred. I think Andy Serkis is a great version of Alfred for Battinson and is what that Bruce needs (and his performance is great as always) and I enjoyed Sean Pertwee in Gotham (once again, a great interpretation for what *that* Bruce needed). However, Michael Caine was my first live-action Alfred and he was SO PERFECT, I don't think he will ever be topped as my favorite.

To be fair, I think Brenton Thwaites had the look for Dick and I think he could have been a good choice if the show was different, but for me, I can't get over how much Titans tone and interpretation of the characters/stories rubbed me the wrong way. None of the characters felt accurate to me based on their comic counterparts and the studio just tried to be too edgy and dark. The perfect example is the "Fuck Batman" moment. It was all over the trailers and just seemed like something they wanted to push to be like "this ain't your parent's Robin" but they pushed things so far it didn't even feel grounded in the characters I love. (don't even get me started on the Red Hood plot line).

I have seen the Nightwing youtube series and they do a really good job with it! My hope for this new direction of the DC movies and the fact The Brave and the Bold will focus on Bruce and Damian's relationship is that it means they'll include Nightwing and maybe mention Tim now working with the Titans (you don't want to include too many characters in the first movie which is the problem a lot of superhero movies have made lately). And I also want a mention of Jason but not have him returned as Red Hood yet which would be its own movie later.

Speaking of Jason.... While Dick is my first Robin and will always have a very special place in my heart because of that, Jason is my favorite. I just love how complex and rich his character development and story is. I also find casting him really difficult because of that. However, I do think Tanner Buchanan has a good potential. I've seen him in a few smaller roles, but I know he is a main character in Cobra Kai so he does have experience with fighting he could bring to the role (I haven't seen the show but I did watch clips on youtube). And as you pointed out, those green eyes are a big plus!

I think Curran Walters does a good job in Titans for what the show wants of him, but once again, it's just not my Jason and I rage quit season 3 😂 (though I watched clips of key Red Hood moments from later in the season)

Tim is always the hardest member of the main Batfam for me to write or cast just because he is the one I have the least knowledge or experience with outside of fanfics. However, I still really like him as a character and think he has a lot of potential in a movie or show. And I haven't seen Locke and Key (though it is on my list because I LOVE Aaron Ashmore)

I am excited with the prospect of having Bruce and Damian together in The Brave and the Bold, but I am also very nervous about how they will characterize them. All the Batman projects since Batman Begins have skewed very dark and I don't think that works well if you bring in the whole Batfam (if they just want to add Dick with Battinson, I think that could work but not expanding it to the whole gang). But James Gunn's comments about making the new Superman movie more about kindness feels like it will be a brighter, lighter version (more like the Christopher Reeve movies than the Henry Cavill ones) which I feel is more accurate to most comics, so I am cautiously optimistic for the Batfam in these movies. However, the canon and fanon versions of the Batfam don't always match (neither does the canon version between comic writers), but I am still hopeful for the more loving version we want, and is portrayed fairly well in the DC Animated movies.

As for Duke, Cass, Steph, and Barbara, I'm going to include them in my next post so you will have to wait a little to get my thoughts on them as well as a few others😉

Though because you brought up ages I will mention that all of my castings are based on if I were making a movie or show today. There are a lot of different people I would have loved to have in these roles in the past that are unfortunately just too old at this point.

And just another shout-out to Wayne Family Adventures because it is everything I ever wanted from a Batfam comic/story!!! Plus, the art is so perfect! Yes, the comic is a lot of fan service, but it is really funny while also being deep and emotional at times. It never loses the heart of the characters and you can tell there is so much love in the project and for these characters. If we could get a show or even a web series of this version of the Batfam, it would be a dream come true!

God he wanted to punch himself.

You looked at him with a worried stare, wondering what was going through his head

He wished he knew too

You stand up to leave before apologizing

" uhm- YEA just forget I said anything! I'm sorry for all of this, I'll just uhm I'll ju- see you tomorrow, Finney. " You quickly say your goodbyes and shoot up to leave before you could imagine the look of discomfort on his face.

You feel a tug on your arm before walking out the door and look up to see a very anxious and frightened Finney

" I, I uh " all he was thinking was how to be here for you

He stood up straight and cleared his throat and spoke in a firm but comforting voice

" I'm really glad you trust me with this, y/n. "

he shows you a genuine smile, cheeks tinted with a light red and eyes closed shut.

You smiled back before saying your genuine goodbyes

Robin Arellano :

" oh "

'oh'? 'oh' in a good way? or 'oh' in a bad way?

Your mind went places, thinking the unthinkable. His expression was unreadable and that didn't calm your nerves one bit.

He was thinking, and from the looks of it he looked like he was thinking about everything and anything in that moment

" uh rob- " before you could start you sentence he spoke up

" that's okay "

ofcourse it wasn't a whole speech on how much he really accepted you but it was enough to stop your heart from racing

" look " he spoke up again, a little louder than before,

" I'm not the greatest with words but just know that- that i'll always be here for you always " which then lead to him comforting you in a tight hug

You guys stood there for a comfortable minute before letting go

" still up to hangout tomorrow with me and Finn? " he asked

you laughed at his question and replied with

It was really awkward

You didn't know if it was either the awkward glances, or the silence in general.

Panicking inside you stayed quiet because it felt like if you talked, the entire world you built for yourself would blow up into bits and pieces.

About 5 minutes pass by(though it felt like an hour) before he spoke up

" soo "

" so? " you replied sharply

Not meaning to, you quickly try to say something before he speaks up

" ah, I'm sorry it took me a while to respond " he started " I just don't know how to in general "

You looked down defeated thinking he was gonna end it, your friendship I mean

Tired of waiting for the inevitable, you stood up and started to leave the park bench you once sat on

" wait- " he hurriedly said. He didn't know what to say, scared he'd lose his closest friend just because he couldn't talk. He was terrified you were gonna leave so he caught up to where you stood and held on to your hand in a comforting matter

" I'm so sorry if I just made you feel like cr-p just now, I really didn't mean to "

He continued on, " I just- I'm just, really glad we're friends y/n and know that it'll always be that way no matter what "

You guys hugged for a while after that

It’s been atleast five days since Vance and Bruce hanged out together. Bruce was always walking away, saying he had already made plans to hang out with Finney, Robin, Billy, Griffin or Gwenny.

It was getting so fucking annoying for Vance. At first he thought it was annoying that they kept taking up all the time he could get with Bruce. But then he started to think, which was something he usually didn’t do.

He ended up overthinking. He thought that Bruce just didn't like him as much as he did before and that sooner or later, Bruce would break up with him.

This made Vance upset. And maybe just tear up a little.

Bruce was happy he could help plan a surprise birthday party for his boyfriend but he just couldn't stand not seeing him more.

It makes him feel bad inside seeing Vance’s face when he says he’s going to ‘hang out" with the others instead of his boyfriend. Bruce has even thought of telling Vance about the surprise party.

"NO Yamada! It's called a SURPRISE party for a reason, idiot!" Gwen said. "Please! I can't stand seeing Vance upset at me!" Bruce pleaded. "I know that Bruce! But just keep quiet, for just a little longer. Okay?" Gwen said. Bruce reluctantly agreed, but he couldn't shake the guilt he felt about hurting Vance's feelings.

Over the next few days, Vance slowly started to stop asking Bruce to come over and watch him play pinball and other things. And Bruce cannot take it anymore.

He hated this.

Vance was playing pinball, trying to beat his high score when Bruce came to him. "Hey, Vance, come over to my house today. I gotta tell you something." Bruce whispered to him. Vance just nodded and followed Bruce to his place.

When they made it, Vance started speaking. "Look, I know I'm not the best at these kinds of things but you just have to give me another chance." Vance whimpered and tears started falling down his face slowly. "What? Vance, I'm not breaking up with yo-" Bruce was saying before he got interrupted.

"SURPRISE?" Everyone yelled out but they kept quiet when they saw what was happening. "What?" Vance mumbled, clearly confused. "I came here to tell you that the only reason I haven't been around you was that...I was helping plan this party. for your birthday." Bruce admitted and Vance immediately got embarrassed and turned red.

“Oh.” Was all Vance said before he looked at everyone else and just went to eat the cake.

“Thanks.” Vance muttered. Finney thought it was akward but Robin just thought the party needed music.

So Robin put on Vance’s favorite artist and the party resumed.

Everybody was caught up in their own thing so Bruce went up to Vance. “Vance, bae, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to-“ SPLAT. The cake went onto Bruce’s face. Vance laughed at the sight until Cake went onto his face. They just laughed at each other.

Robin saw this and immediately took it upon himself to take a photo of them. So he did. Secretly, When the both of them weren't looking.

Robin then wrote on the Polaroid picture "8/10/79. Surprise."

i haven't outreached for other kins from a popular source in like forever, but the idea of finding my brothers and the trolls who remember me makes my heart sore. Or even having anyone reach out to me who kins from it.

clay, you'll always be my big bro. JD and Bruce definitely both take part, but I remember how excited you started getting about being a big brother. i love what you've turned into. I'm sorry to discover your passions in such a stressful way, but I'm happy for you.

branch? I'm glad you're happy again. I'm sorry I didn't come back sooner. But i love you more than feeling my paws on the felt of the forest. You've grown into that vest and it hurts to see how much growth you went through without your big brother, but i was happy to come back. I wish i had been there for you. I love you so much.

And Poppy? Thank you for making Branch happy, and pushing him to get better. He wouldn't have blossomed even more if it weren't for you. I was happy to get to know you better. :)

There's soo many others i could spend time on, remembering from the troll tree, or anyone else, but these are the most solid feelings ive got. I just needed to get it off my chest.

Batfamily Headcanons - 1

-Bruce loves his kids. But, like really, his favorite time is always family dinners, patrols, or simply every second he spends time with all of his children.

-Yes, they sometimes get angry, and even they hurt each other, but no, no one can stay mad at one other forever. One hug, and it's all over.

-Sometimes, when everyone is around, they spend times WİTHOUT Bruce. They walk on the streets, eat ice cream, go to the shooting range, or walk by the ocean.

-But if they don't want to go outside, they are choosing a room and they spend their time in there mostly. Like they play board games, card games and more -and one day... one day, surely Jason will force them to start gambling/poker at home...-

-Damian and Jason are closer than everyone thinks. Damian had all his firsts with Jason. The first time he cried his eyes out, the first time shot a gun, the first time he slept/fell asleep next to someone, the first time he felt, undoubtedly, safe, and more, all were with him. And Jason was the same too; the first time he felt unjudged, the first time he felt like a big brother, the first time he felt at home, all were with Damian.

-Bruce, actually, can cook. This is not up for discussion... And yes, he learned that the hard way, but he eventually did, okay? Also, mostly, he learned it from Alfred, but as he likes to be "Creative" he creates his recipes, and somehow, every time, they turn out really good!!! And he likes to cook for his children. So family dinners are, always but like always, from Bruce "Cook" Wayne.

-Just like Bruce, Jason also likes to cook, and sometimes, if he has free time, dinners are from Jason "Cook" Todd.

-Okay, sorry, but they aren't scared of Alfred, like none of them, because they know he would never hurt them. But yes, they are afraid because no one knows his limits, even Bruce...

-Well... 2 words... Stoner Tim... That's the headcanon...

-And as Damian grew up with the smell of smoke because of Jason, he kinda likes it now. Yes, at first, he hated it, and he found smoking very stupid, but after Jason left him, he even missed that gross smell. So every time he smells cigarettes now, the old memories come back.

-Also, Bruce got some alcohol problems... He is an emotional drinker, so whenever he feels down, he ends up in the cellar. And no one knows about it. He got his own ways to keep it as a secret, even from Alfred.

-Dick and Roy started to smoke and drink together -for a while- after learning about Jason's death... Facts!!! -Also, Star had to have their backs, though, cause they were both really fucked up...-

-Okay, I don't care what anyone says... For me, they all love galas, balls, or such events. Because they feel "Normal"?? Yes, it's weird, I know but think about it. All of them are with Gotham's most-known people and families. Everyone is happy, laughing, and having some fun. Gotham's citizens are talking about that event, and also, they are having fun! I mean how many peaceful nights are out there in Gotham?? LET PEOPLE HAVE FUN WITH SUCH EVENTS!! ESPECİALLY WITH WAYNE GALAS!!! -But of course, they don't like to be dressed up. Like, who actually would??-

-So you know what? Three troublemakers of the family are the ones who graduate from a university except for Babs... (Barbara graduated from Gotham University School of Technology, Jason graduated from Gotham University School of Law, Stephanie graduated from Gotham University School of Design, and Damian graduated from Gotham University School of Science.)

-They all love all animals, soo much. But they got of course their superior animals:

Bruce: Bats (Do I have to explain??)

Selina: Cats (Well...)

Dick: Elephants (Zitka... Wait for a second pls, I'm crying...)

Barbara: Squirrels (I don't have any idea why but she reminds me of squirrels.)

Jason: Foxs (His surname means "Fox" as I know, and he is a redhead in some versions -just like foxs- and he is a redhead magnet, fair enough for me.)

Tim: Robins (This boy just has issues with Robin's, and being Robin. Like wth Tim???)

Stephanie: Canarys (Again I don't have any idea why but she is a canary.)

I'm soo sorry Eddie, but Jon is my favorite characther from Batman the Audio Adventure now. I love my pathetic poor little meow meow and how he adapted so instead of bettering Batman and losing constantly he would just fuck with Jeremiah Arkham until the doctor snaped. That being said Scarecrow is a DELIGHT. He is at same time funny and scary. He is soo confindent even when his wrong (like with Bruce being a Batman fanboy) and he is SUCH a freak. He is a creature horror fan and very passionate. He goes all in into his mal pratice. And he decided to be the most unsubtle person ever with threatning Bruce. He doesn't have empathy and he doesn't know how to fake it but he seems to think he is doing a good job at pretending to be caring person. He is constantly singing and his happiness over the organ! I love him. I adore that derranged man.

I actually really like the idea of Jason getting a civilian life and then getting roped back into the business. I would have loved if Jason had also gotten a chance to try being Batman. Like I know it feels like a big push away from Cassandra but I really would have like to see what would had happened because I find that storytelling aspect really fascinating. I think the Batman identity is also something that is closely or should be closely tied to Oracle. I fell like that team up is really under appreciated and it actually really works really well when you have someone who is the eyes and kind of like hidden angel of Gotham when Batman is like its knight. I can see him being roped back into the business by someone like Oracle. Just an idea.

i'm soo delighted to get someone on my batman jay agenda. i will repeat what i said before about it almost 1:1 (sorry if you already saw my musings on it, but i gained lots of followers since then and i don't have the energy to find my previous posts!)

i get asked "what about cass then?" a lot actually. and i always say that cass would make a great batman! the best even! but would it make an interesting story? cass already has all the makings of a great batman (maybe minus the uttermost devotion to gotham, which i don't see her acquiring, and it's not a bad thing!). there's little space for character development in here. very low stakes conflict. she already found what she needs in the symbol, i'd say. (if any cass stans disagree and think that there's more potential in that progression, let me know, maybe i lack understanding of her general storyline?)

but jason? jason is gotham born and bred (only his love for the city can rival bruce's, i believe). and jason doesn't really believe in batman. he lost hope in that symbol, because it's also what he used to ascribe to, and what made him exposed and vulnerable. so he even actively went against almost everything it stood for. hence, taking the mantle and trying to follow bruce's ways would be a way of confronting his grievances with it. it would be angsty, ugly, and gut wrenching! there's so much that could go wrong. and so much that could go exactly right. jason remembering what it truly represents, what it means to people, what it once meant to himself. (the circular narrative!!)

of course, i wouldn't expect jason to get out of it as a carbon copy of bruce. but it would give him better understanding of his work and let him empathise with him more. & i also genuinely believe that he could become better than bruce. (for example because of his distrust toward the cops and the institutionalised justice system!)

i love how you bring oracle into it, it's such a brilliant idea! i've had plenty of convos about barbara & jason's dynamics recently, and it's a shame that there's so little that canon (and fanon to) does about it. arguably, they're both the people that have been victimised by gotham villains the most. their tragedies were both used as plot devices for other characters... so for them to work together... to be the centre of gotham storylines, even just for a while– wouldn't that be the ultimate story of hope and reclamation?
