rapidly finding anti-car people more and more annoying by the day
#i Get it. you don't like to drive#my feelings at this point are basically: yes you make good points and yes i also want better public transit and walkable cities#but you have to know that's not going to solve every problem right??#do you know how much of america is rural?? have you experienced weather recently??#i'm not even truly rural- i think the closest bus stop is like a mile or so away#but i start getting heat exhaustion just walking across a hot parking lot to put my groceries in the car so like. yknow#idk man i just don't think this attitude of shaming people for driving cars really accomplishes anything#like how quickly is it just gonna devolve into another case of blaming individual people for pollution#instead of the companies that are doing the majority of polluting#also. i am very selfish and love the freedom driving allows me and can't stand having to rely on others to take me places#not bc i don't like depending on others! but just bc i like the control of being able to go and/or leave a place by myself whenever i want!#alright i'm done talking about this for now#text
