Having a brainrot moment for my Empires!Jimmy character design and the reasoning behind various elements of said design, so thought dump time:
Because I headcanon both Jimmy and Lizzie as selkie-adjacent creatures, that means they each have a human and an inhuman form.
Jimmy's human form still retains a lot of his more inhuman features such as fins on the back of his forearms and along his jaw which, while possesing very little mobility, are rather expressive in how they tense and relax. At the base of his fins, there are patches of skin colored similarly to the pattern on the back of an Atlantic Cod.
Despite its appearance, the skin is more amphibian in nature, being covered in a thin film of slime and helping Jimmy breathe easier, especially the patches on the side of his neck. He has learnt the hard way that when visiting the desert, mesa, or really any particularly cold biome he should wear the hood of his capelet up.
Talking of his capelet, it is made out of shimmering russet scales and works as his more or less proverbial seal skin, in this case (as inspired by similar myths). Underneath it, he wears pretty standard clothing for Cod Empire standards: a green linen shirt with a lace close at the collar, a leather waist corset belt for decoration and a wool version under it to help with lower back pain, linen pants, lace-up high leather boots, and a pouch belt that doubles as a place to hook his lucky fishing net onto.
The fishing net itself is not meant to be used for fishing as much as it is meant to have small trinkets attached to it as a part of Cod Empire customs. Because of this the net is much smaller than a regular one and often draped in such a way that is short enough to not be a tripping hazard while on land, but also long enough so you won't get your legs tangled in it while swimming.
Outside the trinkets on his net, Jimmy also has a few necklaces from his allies.
Anyways, got slightly distracted, but some more Jimmy "The Codfather" SolidarityGaming physical appearance notes: he does have webbing between his fingers and toes, his eyes are pitch black from the iris to the sclera, and highly reflective which means that often his eyes actually appear to be various shades of brownish gray depending on how bright the environment around him is!
He can see in the dark rather well, but him and Lizzie both got debuffed by the Universe for it by making them rather near-sighted in return. Another trait they both share are their teeth, which are far more than any regular human needs in number, as well as thinner and sharper (something that's often forgotten sadly for their poor tongues).
