My allergy to jalepeños is now in the danger zone. I unexpectedly ingested a bite of something containing one, and on top of my usual allergy meds, I urgently took 2 zyrtec and a claritin, used my prescription allergy spray, and had to use my rescue inhaler. If i'd waited any longer to take those, I think it'd have been epipen territory.

#spices#do you have any idea how often is all i get?#i'm allergic to ginger nutmeg and jalepeños and much of the time i have to learn the hard way when they're in stuff#any asian food that lists spices as an ingredient is no-go#same with mexican food#and any pumpkin or apple pie or spice is off limits#and carrot cake is generally off-limits#indian food is often off-limits but there's not a lot of it in the frozen food sections in my area#although that is also under asian#eugh
