Ok, I recently wrote an essay [here] talking about the definition and duties of civil engineering as well as the ethics because of the brain rot @swordfright gave me with calling Dream Sam’s ultimate engineering project. So, because I actually am a civil engineer I took it upon myself to design the title and summary of quantities sheets just like I do at work for roads but with Dream as the project instead. And in honor of angst day sponsor by @sixteenth-day-event, I figured I’d share it because I feel like it kinda works for the prison of the mind prompt.
“Sam’s “ultimate engineering project” he deemed too damaged like a bumpy road or crumbling building that wasn’t worthy of patching and filling in the cracks or reinforcing, that’s too eroded to be fixed and preserved. So, Sam strived to tear him down to the bedrock so he could remake, remold, and reengineer Dream according to his design for the common safety, public health and well-fair.”
{These are very similar to the actual sheets I make day to day, which I shall not share for the sake of doxing my location, but yea pretty much everything has a significance. Some of it doesn’t necessarily make sense but that was because I was more so taking inventory of what we see in lore (so you know I counted ;) lol)}

While I do think that Tubbo was a bit over the top today in regards to making light of the lore, I think it’s mainly because he’s tired of this arc and how there isn’t a roleplayable response unless the eye workers permit there to be. It’s frustrating on a viewer and player level for sure.
Does that mean he had to be over the top? No, but I do think its good to keep in mind that Mike also was messing around during the lore today and in the dapper kidnapping stream, Phil did not give a shit that dapper was downed and kidnapped even after being told he was. I can find Tubbo making jokes at the eye workers funny and someone else can find it annoying, I personally had a problem when he kept speaking over Bagi today, he’s a human who does annoying things that I don’t like sometimes.
I think we all get a bit too defensive of our favs (absolutely guilty) and forget that we find other people doing the same thing annoying too. People can respond to lore however they want, especially when it’s impromptu lore like today.
We don’t have to be up in arms about everything and you don’t have to hate on someone for acting how another person acted in the past. Streamers do things we don’t like sometime because (surprisingly) they’re individuals! Who have their own reasons for doing the things they do. Sometimes it’s playing a certain game and sometimes it’s taking lore with a grain of salt. Maybe you like foolishs parenting style and hate Phil’s, that’s valid! Just remember that people can dislike foolishs parenting style too!
TLDR: it’s okay to critique tubbo for how he chose to interact with the lore today or how he interacts with sunny so long as you are okay with people saying the same thing about your streamer

Wisdom is a funny thing.
You never know what someone might spout as “wisdom”. To some, blatant lies are the only wisdom they have known. To others, devastating truths.
To the rarest - prophecies. Never the full truth, never the whole lie.

The earliest dreams were horrid. Blurry messes, too loud of sounds and bursts of pain that left her crying, wailing for her mother.
It was indescribable at the time, mindless words made her way through the curtain of tears while her mother sat confused, unsure of what to do or say.
But how can one respond to nonsense.
The pain ceased over time, at least she felt as such. The words still came, without rhyme or reason.
She distracted herself as much as she could. From the stares and whispers, from the bursts and sounds, from herself and everyone else’s talks.
The words always had an edge to them.
“The young princess is sweet but a bit strange, you don’t think?”
“Oh what a beauty the princess Helaena is, if only she could speak properly.”
“Despite her mannerisms, the Queen is a very kind woman I’m sure.”
She embroidered whenever she happened to get the time. Things around her. Normal things. The flowers, the gardens, the sun, the moon, the prettiest of birds, the vilest of animals.
She was aware.
Of the way people assumed her to be idiotic or peculiar. Of the way her wretched father felt about her and her siblings. Of the ways a war had to be won.
Of entirely too much.
For someone like her.
The only time she spoke louder than she intended was at the green counsel. The oh so sweet, docile Queen Helaena damn near shouted at one of the men that a war cannot so simply be won. Silence followed. She liked silence.
She explained her reasonings. Slower than everyone else. It kept the nature of the room longer. Good.
She stared right at the king’s smile. He looked at her and winked.
Fucking twat.
Through all her life, she had garnered many a cheery praise, many a snide remark.
But it remained difficult.
To understand this strange wisdom.
To have the power to dream of the future and yet have no knowledge of what to do about it.
Because oh if only she had enough knowledge.
If only she had enough wisdom.

All of which I know jack shit about the stories or spoilers. I’ve started Batman Arkham Asylum and I’m in the middle of Half Life 2 Episode 1. So far I’m having a blast
#i tried using a controller for Batman Arkham Asylum but quickly went fuck it and used my keyboard instead#how do y’all do it??? there’s so many fucking button combinations?!!!#i tried to remember the patterns but it was really diffficult and keyboard simplifies a lot so keyboard it is#and WHY IS THERE SO MANY RIDDLER BULLSHITS TO COLLECT??!!#240?!!!! WHY#so far I have little over 25% of them and it’s going to be a pain in the ASS collecting the stuff I need to go back through levels#i will say the facial expressions for Arkham Asylum are super stiff and the dialogue is very very rough#but visual and gameplay wise this shit aged wonderfully for a game made in 2008#it’s very neat and fun and I’m having a blast but I really don’t feel the motivation story wise to do what I need to do??? like in Half Life#you got backstory and motivation and everything#with Arkham Asylum you’re just in the Asylum and you now have to stop Joker but it’s not as pressing of an issue#I’m also not used to open world games#like sure you can’t go TOO far but you can explore an entire island?!!! how cool is that?!?!!#I’m so used to railroad shooters that this is so neat I’ve never played an open world game#bones speaks

I’m in a local shadow cast for the Rocky Horror Picture Show which is a little different than a traditional stage play. We play the movie at the same time as we perform.

For some reason I had never listened to the high school ear biscuits episode and I am sobbing over this like they are just so truly in love with each other? Like platonically, romantically, whatEVER it is so obvious!!!! They chose each other so easily, almost subconsciously, over and over and being with each other forever was literally the default? To them it was always guaranteed? Like bitch I’m cryingggggg.
I also didn’t realize that the blood oath happened so late? Like they were around 16 years old making that kind of verbal commitment to each other? And having deep conversations about their futures together???
