Oh heyyyy darling! Thank you so so so much for sending me these!
[ fanfic writers asks ] - i could do these on my actual writing blog but nah, lmaoo.
✨ - what is your newest shiny fic idea?
I swear it's the stupidest damn thing. It's utterly fucking dumb, but lately I've been alternating back and forth between two different ones. One is for Stranger things and it's kind of just real simple, a Henderson!OC and Steve Harrington (but with a lot of ups, downs and awkward bullshit). I'd get it going if I could figure out how the fuck to start it, lmaoo. The second one is for CSI Miami (but kind of a CSI New York crossover too in that the myoc here is Danny Messer's little sister who is being stalked by a still alive Shane Casey..) and yeah.. I wish I could report that I had any ideas for wrestle writings but I haven't in a while. I miss writing for it.
👓 - what’s a tiny detail you wrote that you’re proud of?
This is going to sound so fuckin self-centered but honestly, there are too many I was proud of to really mention. That said, I think my favorite tiny details are what I've been doing lately (unposted), I've been experimenting with more movement and action. I kind of feel like I'm gonna go with my attention to dialogue and internal thoughts for the final answer here. Yeah. I'm going with dialogue / internal monologue -overall.
🎤 - what’s a strongly-held opinion you have about fics?
Hmm. Honestly, I feel like in a lot of cases, fanfictions are equal to -and a lot of the time, better than their original counterparts/basis. They're always written in a place of love/desire to change just that one little thing that irked/upset you about the original material and this shows passion for something imo. Or you just love the fictional world of whatever you're writing for that you want to be a part of it. Either way, the love and creativity that goes into fanfiction often times makes for an end product that is either on par with or above par of the basis/source counterpart. This isn't always the case, but 9 out of ten, I feel it is.
Also, there are fanfictions I've read lately that have resonated better / been more interesting than a lot of books I've attempted reading.
✂ - share a snippet from your current/most recent WIP!
Oh lorddd... do you really want me to? because it's dumb and idek if i'm ever going to share it, let alone continue it... It's uh... For Stranger Things, btw. You were all warned.
“Get up. C’mon, Kathleen.” Dustin begged but Kathleen smirked and settled into the couch just a little more, gracefully dipping her spoon into the cup of lemon pudding in her hand as she shook her head no. As a last resort, Dustin stepped in front of the television, blocking the episode of Miami Vice that his sister had been engrossed in.
“Hey! I’m trying to drool over Don Johnson, do you mind, doofus?” Kathleen tried to toss a throw pillow at her little brother to get him to move.
“C’mon get up! I need to look under your cushion.” Dustin stepped forward, trying to tug the cushion from beneath his sister while she was still sitting on it. Kathleen’s hands shot up, her fingers dancing over his ribs to tickle him and the two wound up in a heap on the living room floor. Dustin emerged from the pile first, lunging onto the spot exposed on the couch.
& now, darling, it's your turn. I ask the same ones you asked me plus 🎈and 🎨.
